Would you want a new killer with less than 100% speed ?

Meaning their power would probably break the game in some way, like nurse bypasses all walls/pallets/windows. I don't think that it would necessarily need to be chase focused power like nurse's.

They could have for example have some kind of power that creates entity minions and you would need to micro manage them or some other thing that completely flips the match around. I think it would be great to get more killers who change gameplay in drastic way, not just slightly differentiate how you loop who while still rushing gens the same old way.

Imo it would be better that more crossbreeding of powers that already exist. Not saying we didn't get anything creative lately but more like that it could be more creative in the future.

  • More variety would be welcome, as long as the power is fun I would not have many complaints.

  • I've always wanted a killer as the entity, I totally agree

  • Yeah as long as the power compensates for the lack of base mobility and doesn't brake the game it's fine

  • Such a low speed would indicate that the killer doesn´t run in circles. People would complain about the killers power (whatever it is) if they can´t run in circles.

  • Yeah why not. As long as it interesting and fun.

  • Probably won't happen. The Devs would have never released a Killer like Nurse at this time. She was released back in 2016 where the game was full of bullshirt.

But now the game is somewhat balanced, she needs the slow movement speed to compensate for her power. As much as I like her, but she is broken.

    Remember the norm:

    • Killers who move at 4.6 m/s / 32 metre TR
    • Killers who move at 4.4 m/s / 24 metre TR

Exceptions would be Huntress, she is also weird. She has a lullaby but a 20 metre TR but also moves at 4.4, in some way, she also ignores the norm because of complications.

And there is Myers as another exception, but that's probably for ambient reasons. They wanted to make him similar to the movies.

Nurse moves at 3.85 m/s with a 32 metre TR. There is a reason she is so slow and ignores the norm that much, she is broken and you can't really fix her to the norm without changing her power. Even 4.4 m/s Nurse would be busted.

I don't think they'll ever release another Killer with that much power as Nurse.

  • Yes, it would be awesome.

  • Sure, but I don't think we'll see another Killer like Nurse. To me she's an anomaly they don't intend to replicate ever again.

  • No. Another Nurse is the last thing this game needs.

  • Hahaha. No Survivor player is gonna want a Killer whose ability warrants <100%MS.

Its either gonna be an hax ability or some sort of incredibly powerful movement ability, like ignoring map structures and collision.

And lol nurse isnt busted, especially current nurse.

  • Sure. The Hot/Cold type killer, who is obnoxiously strong or ridiculously weak. Probably a Killer that sets up a perimeter of strength and has benefits inside that make him feel like a shark in water but when lured or pushed out of his power zone, he becomes feeble and less likely to engage in chase.

Really just depends on the balance of the idea and how they could create counter play for both sides.

Which of course, is beyond BHVR. Still a fun thought~

  • I assume it would be something like Oni or Billy where the power would allow the Killer to move incredibly fast when using the power, but have a bit of a cooldown after so many uses. Not too much, but enough to give Survivors some time to make a play. Also, it would possibly need to be a sort of AoE blast at the end of the movement in order to allow the Killer some leniency when aiming their charge.

Alternatively, it could be a Killer with a very strong ranged attack. I'm thinking like Moira from Overwatch, where they could essentially bounce projectiles around that would be dangerous from a modest distance. I'd still give them a charge as well, or perhaps a function to teleport to their projectile. The projectile itself wouldn't even NEED to do damage: It could use a non-physical collision sphere to detect entities (players) within the sphere, use hitscan to confirm LoS, apply a slow after hitscan validation, and mark them with KI so the Killer knows to TP to that sphere and ready a lunge upon arrival.

  • they'd need a nurse tier power to compensate for such a bad movespeed

  • Such a Killer will not come into the game anymore, the Devs are better at Balancing than they were in 2016. They will not do the same mistake like they did with releasing Nurse.

Why should killer with less then 100% speed be a mistake or unblanaced ? I don't think such killer would need to bypass looping completely like nurse does (which is still fine as she creates her own counters), just have power unique and strong enough to warrant slow mm speed.

It has to be in that region of Power. I mean, look at the Powers of Killers who are on 110% Movement Speed. Powerwise, those are some of the best Killers in the game. And 5% Movement Speed is not that much slower, you can still chase people as Huntress without a Hatchet in SOME (really need to stress out this word) situations, even tho it can be painful to do so and should not be done, if there are alternatives.

If you have a difference of 15%+ to a "regular" Killer, you would need an even stronger Power than for example Hag or Spirit.

  • Just make them like Scorpion from MK it'll be blend between nurse and deathslinger teleports through the ground and rope darts when you're farther away says "Get over here!" Does a janky looking uppercut that launches you up then juggles you into the dying state and with the correct button presses can Mori you on the spot.

    Darth vader please

  • There’s a reason nurse is the only one and there’s a reason she should be reworked
