The system can't differentiate between someone legit having a network issue, BHVRs system flaking out, and someone turning off their internet intentionally to drop a game.

So everything is treated the same with this ass abandon system in place.

I don't think your game crashes when your internet shuts off, you just get sent to the title screen. I'm talking about when your whole game crashes and you end up on Steam with the crash report window opening up.

What would the change to 'Bond' be?

The auras will now change colours constantly.

  • Love how you call him "The Henry".

  • I'd use it more because I like the challenge but I don't wanna weaken my team on purpose because solo is trash as is already.

If I use it, then maybe in a Swf.

  • I actually like it. It looks like original Autohaven, but with imroved textures.

Time to give MacMillan and Coldwind the same treatment.

  • I really like Stealth Myers. I use Dark Devotion, Unforeseen, Nowhere to Hide and Lethal/Play with your Food.

Dark Devotion feels incredible since it got buffed to 45 seconds and since it transfers the Terror Radius, it might scare and confuse certain Players.

Unforseen and NtH go hand in hand. More stealth and info. I used to use Gearhead which is a nice alternative and it goes map wide, BUT it requires hits.

Lethal to prolong the Aura of NtH. Used to use Play with your Food, but I noticed it's not quite as useful on new Myers since he doesn't really need it. But it has good synergy with Dark Devotion. Hit Obsession, gain Stealth, leave them and gain Haste.

Add-ons I usually go for Judith's Journal and J. Myers Memorial. Since you'll bother the Obsession alot for your Perks, Journal is good since it gives you 40 % faster stalk rate. And Memorial gives you insane pick up speed when in Evil Incarnate. Alternatively you could run Tombstone Piece for even more Stealth.

My playstyle is usually, abuse the Obsession for Stalk, Stealth, and Haste and kill the other 3 and save the Obsession for last. It's also kinda lore accurate.

So true the amount of women I've seen wanting to bang Micheal it's almost unnerving

I remember a Nea writing "destroy me daddy" after I moried her with old Tombstone years ago.

Some things you never forget, as it caught me quite off guard.

  • @ArkInk said:

The only reason Haddonfield is leaving is because it's free content anyone who has the game can play with.

Since the music only plays when Michael is selected, something you can only do if you bought him, the music is staying.

    You never know for sure.

  • @Shroompy said:

Considering we kept Doug Bradley, I think John Carpenter will also stay

    I hope so.

  • I'm currently working on Myers too, because he's currently the only Killer I want to play.

I started a few Killers and thought once the PH Add-on pass came I'd main him again and P100 him, but I haven't touched him in a bit now.

  • Tbf, I'm gonna miss Haddonfield for the sole reason because I loved playing lore accurate Michael.

But this is kinda sad really.

  • I played with 2 friends once and the Killer had a Twitch link in his steam account, just that it wasn't an actual Twitch link, instead it sent you to some extremely nasty loud jumpscare and my friend had listened to it in full volume, her ears hurt for almost an hour afterwards.

Crazy how sad and sick some people are.

Edit: I would click on that post out of pure curiosity but I know I'll regret it.

  • Right, I have trust issues now for any posts haha.

Of course I am in the defense. You take the time to call me out on a harmless joke. There's nothing wrong with it. I don't need to do better with anything. Save the pep talk for something that is actually problematic.

@MrDardon Apologies for the derail of your topic. I won't respond to this person again.

    All good man!

  • Never really thought about the map to much but now the more I play on it the more I like it.

It's actually a decent map.. for once.

  • If someone does a Glyph, I let them finish it before I hit them.

Sounds like someone who has Ghoul experience in customs. ;)

I do. I refuse to play this Killer online. But I stopped playing him altogether because I find him really boring.

  • Never played a single Ghoul match online.

  • I've noticed quite longer queues as Survivor in the evening and instant Killer queues during that time, similar to how it was ~2 years ago. I play in Middle Europe.

During the day its the other way around, long queues for Killer and instant for Survivor. I wonder what changed, since the game is currently easier for Killers so I'd expect Killer queues to be longer always.

  • Then don't log in. It's not like they're required to give away anything, so rather appreciate free points instead of complaining y'all.

  • I'd say Syringes are still strong, just in a completely different way. And Styptics are just useless, it barely makes a difference and using Bandages still gives you more MedKit durability. If it would completely remove the selfheal efficiency debuff, that would be a different story.

  • Yeah but isn't Vecna a bit to short to be Vecna? I imagine Vecna using Fly would look quite weird.

  • The Damned maybe. Since he was damned into the Upside Down?

    Or maybe The Banished

  • Yeah, my playtime here has also come to a halt. It didn't matter if I played Killer or Survivor.. something was either broken or unplayable.

Play Survivor, get 3 idiots who can't do anything right. Play Killer, get 4 Survivors who stick on gens, know how to loop and play efficiently. It's draining.

On top of a mountain of bugs, issues and bad content.. I just don't really care what happens to this game anymore. I already got a few alternatives to play instead and if I play this game, I either play vs bots or with my SWF.

I just don't like Myers dashing. Sorry.

We have heard you loud and clear!

"We removed Slaughtering Strike because it was unpopular amongst the players!"

"Therefore we want to indroduce a new mechanic, the "Cutting Throw". With that you can charge a knife throw that reaches up to 32 metres and instantly downs Survivors. If you miss, it will come back flying to you like a boomerang. If you hit, you'll have the option to grab the knife out of the Survivor and instantly pick them up as well!"

We hope with this new mechanic, The Shape will feel alot more lore accurate.

Honestly, I think the intended use is primarily for self healing.

I think Road Life has the biggest self-heal buff potential in the game, as anything with that much Heal Speed is usually restricted to altruism only.

I had moderate success running it with a medkit, Built to Last, Deadline or either Stake Out if I'm having skill issues hitting greats, or Botany if I want even more heal speed. I do a gen while injured, and then pop the heal when it's charged, or if I finish the gen.

As an Altruistic perk it's genuinely terrible, but the fact that it applies to self heals is the secret in the sauce. It's not an amazing perk, but it's a fun build to run.

I mean, Botany lets you self heal 50 % faster without any downsides. Road Life might be 100 %, but only once IF not interrupted on top of 20 other downsides and requirements. This Perk is just silly.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/457832/undetectable-status-not-working-on-pursuer-mode-myers

Pursuer Mode is not suppose to give you Undetectable. Not even with an add on it does that

Did you read my whole post?

  • He needs some buffs. Every buff he got came with 2 nerfs which made him weaker in the end. He just feels clunky. Here is what I would do:

    Stalker Mode:

    • Increase base movement speed to 4.4 m/s.
    • Increase stalk range to 40 metres.

    Pursuer Mode:

    • Reduce Terror Radius to 16 metres.
    • Keep the vault bonus at 20 %, reduce the other bonuses to 15 %.

    Evil Incarnate:

    • Remove the animation and slowdown when activating.
    • Make Survivors exposed, remove Slaughtering Strike.
    • Increase the time to 60 seconds.
    • Increase the vault speed to 30 %, add the other bonuses from Pursuer Mode and make them 25 %.

    General Things:

    • Remove the Stalk meter drain when not stalking for 20 seconds.
    • Remove the sound queue that plays when his stalk meter if full from Survivors perspective.
    • Once the stalk meter is full, you can still switch between Pursuer Mode and Stalker Mode with the Ability button (CTRL) and the Power button (M2) activates Evil Incarnate instead.

Also, revert the Monitor and Abuse Nerf.

  • Pretty much agree with all of that. I don't know why every buff he got got like 2 or 3 compensation nerfs like he's Nurse Tier in strength or something.

The dumbest things are the stalk decay and the Slaughtering Strike cooldown even though it's on a timer anyways.

  • I like using them with Ghost Notes + Lightweight and Sprint Burst. I prerun into the cloud, and once the Killer left the cloud my scratch marks are already gone. Even better on indoor maps.

  • I love it when the Killer brings Ruin/Undying and I can shut off half their build within minutes.

Ruin used to be 200 % and was always more interesting because you went Totem Hunting, Pain Res Switch is just doing the same gen a few times while also waiting for it to unblock.

100 % Ruin was a complete waste, now it's at least somewhat useful.

  • Nostromo.

Everytime I hear that submarine sound while spawning I could just puke.

  • My problem with him isn't the change itself, but the 10 slowdowns + restrictions he has gotten even though he's just a glorified M1 Killer. I would also bet the Monitor and Abuse Nerf was made because of Myers.

Meanwhile we have Krasue, a Killer with Anti Loop, mobility and slowdown (mushrooms), yet she only has 1 drastic slowdown which is switching from Head Form to Body Form. Everything else she either does so fast it might as well not have a slowdown at all, or barely a cooldown, she can spam Leeching Glands every 1.5 seconds because there is like a 1 second cooldown and no slowdown, she can also immediately hit you after. Doing an Intestinal Whip out of Headlong Flight is also almost instant.

Back to Myers, I'd rather have old Myers back who was slightly weaker but didn't have a cooldown or slowdown on literally anything he does. He even has a cooldown on his Strike while having a limited duration where he can do those Strikes. He's just clunky and awkward currently.

  • You've answered yourself. Knight wins against "brain dead" Survivors. So what about Survivors who are good?

  • @Mandy said:

The addon is being reduced in rarity. Fragrant Tuft of Hair will no longer be an Ultra Rare basically.

Can you share it's replacement as the new Ultra Rare?

  • Since 2016 I wanted to see a Miner as a Killer, using dynamite as a power. And a cave/mine map, a map like that would feel quite interesting.

What killer became too powerful? Piggy? Demo? Lets not forget, that Stbfl is a stack perk as well. You don't start with these stacks. You build them throughout the match by hitting survivors with m1 attacks. Most m2 killers use their power to get hits. If they resort to m1s early in the match, they often lose out on a lot of pressure and chase potential, as they mostly resort to being a simple m1. For most lower tiers, stbfl only becomes relevant mid trial and it's effect can be hindered by the obsession being a bit altruistic from time to time.

Camping with Stbfl is still incredibly strong, so that nerf didn't help much there.

I never understood Stbl on Demo. You didn't gain any benefit from it if you used his chase power, which is the correct way of playing him. If you got value from Stbl, then you played Demo as an M1 Killer, which is weaker than just using his Shred.

  • Only thing Stbl needed was to not count on Endurance hits, so if you hit the guy off hook you'd have the normal 2.7 second recovery. And I can live with the Special Attack nerf, but nerfing it's max value from 40 % to 32 % was dumb.

PwyF is a dangerous one. But if anything I'd reduce the cooldown between Token gains to like 5 or 6 seconds. 10 feels abit to much.

  • Deerstalker I could imagine, but no reason to cancel the Ruin and Oppression buffs.

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

    Current Progression.

And for BBQ - from my understanding it turns your 5% Regression on the Kick to 10% Regression for a Kick. Which is not bad at all.

Thanks. And yeah, BBQ might be legit now as a decent slowdown Perk.

So Pop makes the gen regression 35 % of current, which is also going to be quite good.

And Pain Res seems to be dead. Used to be 15 % and unlimited, now it's 12 % and can only trigger 4 times, what's the point of that Perk now?

  • So I could just hit the same Survivors 6 times and down them? Since they don't go into Deep Wound anymore.. I mean..

Edit: Forget what I said, but I could still hit the same Survivor twice to make the final hit down apply faster.

  • That would make Trapper even more unfun to go against while making him barely any better. He's just a terribly outdated Killer who needs a whole Rework to become a stronger Killer. Clown suffers from the same thing, buffing him didn't do anything because he's still mediocre at best but he just became one of the most hated Killers.

Just straight up number buffing weak Killers or giving them an Add-on basekit doesn't do anything to the main problem of the KIller.. their terrible design.

I'll always prefer versing Blight or Wesker than Clown or Trapper because they're just better designed with how they function.

Trapper needs a complete Rework because as long as he has to collect his power and having RNG involved, he'll be dogwater and yet.. still annoying.

  • It's quite strong and even slightly annoying, but since it's 2v8 I don't really mind it. 2v8 is just chaotic fun in the end.

Having it in normal mode would be a problem.

But truly overpowered stuff shouldn't exist either way... I also don't understand why Nurse has like 7 or 8 straight up buffs to her already busted basekit, meanwhile Legion was only side-graded.. and let's not talk about Deathslinger who is barely better. A really slow Killer who's biggest counter consists of bodyblocking.. with 8 Survivors that's pretty easy.

  • The Fog Vial nerf is even worse than I thought. I thought they replaced the cooldown with the charges.

But yesterday in 2v8 I got a Fog Vial out of a chest and saw that it had it's cooldown ON TOP of the charges while also being way weaker in effect.

I mean yeah, they needed a slight nerf but not a Skull Merchant treatment.

An idea to make them better:

    - Increase charges to 3.

    - Remove Cooldown.

    - Increase opacity back to 40 %.

    - Buff Iri. Add-on back to 10 % and remove one of the downsides.

And fix the Fog to not be useless or overpowered, depending on which map you're on.

  • @BluePepper said:

I think we could get a lot of mileage out of part 2 to an original chapter, maybe showing how the original effected the world. Maybe the killer can be someone inspired by the story of the original killer.

For example, Tools of Torment: part 2. A lot can be done there to clean up the mess that it was on release. Possibly someone inspired by stories of this stalker who uses drones. Maybe have a killer like Merchant, but with different drones that could attack or search or be used like cameras.

And I don’t think I need to mention how cool All Things Wicked: part 2 could be. Another genuinely terrifying killer, maybe a fan of Sable’s podcast who’s looking for her as a survivor.

Imagine if that Chapter flopped too like current Tools of Torment. Player would be even more mad than they already are. I would find it funny tbh.

  • @SAWII said:

It’s only in 2v8 and it’s only for killer.

Exactly, and I still don't see it.

  • This is so embarrassing, it's unbelievable.

And yeah, it stopped working for me too. I was able to play 2 whole matches 🥳
