Do you double vomit vs Plague? Important question.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4083393#Comment_4083393

NGL I would probably try making Bodge Job work. Also fully accurate to the perks I'd have too. My headset is held together with tape as proof.

Longer vomit stream kinda like plague does

The first hit enables so many unhealthy builds like Blood Favour/Dissolution, paired with his mobility is horrible to face.

He is also way too effective at tunneling coz his first hit stuns the survivor removing their endurance and also denying them use of dead hard etc, it's way too effective and needs dealt with.

His mobility and first hit are way too strong.

If he was changed I'd be playing the game a lot more often again, he is the sole reason rn I can't stand playing DBD for long periods of time/outside of 2v8 and events

His grab attack has just gotta be changed like Nurse was where it doesn't proc perks

His grab attack shouldn't lock survivors in place anymore

  • Gamer fuel: consume a energy drink and sprint at 200% speed for 3 seconds afterwards you're tummy hurt and start vomiting revealing yourself to the killer and suffer 25% hinder penalty for 60 seconds

  • Im just gonna geuss its just there for horror "what is that" kinda thing and not an actual teaser for a killer

  • I'm still seeing plenty of Blight you're probably just not seeing the blights that only relied on 4.6

  • Button Mash- When all else fails spam mash the ability button to gain 1% progress per press on a gen after 5 seconds it goes on cooldown for 120 seconds

  • I geuss not

  • Spirit is frustrating cause her counterplay is entirely sound based and myself have hearing condition basically makes me worthless against her

  • Ranged Killers on Controller whole different skill level needed to succeed for that

  • @BHVRistheBest said:

Can you tell us in details what they changed about Jason's perk and his addons?

Unfortunately I'm not on the game rn and also they don't tell you on the patch notes what they reworked or nerfed what I posted is all the info I have atm

hes not 115 hes 110 he has to use his teleport to get the speed. also spring trap is 115 when he throws his axe. i just dont think hes overpowered just a good solid sidegrade to spring trap.

He's as pseudo 115 if you giving a killer 25 seconds of 5% haste and a decent Jason will always be jumpscaring he's pretty much a 115 killer

  • @Xendritch said:

I don't think he's too strong but calling the only 115 ranged killer in the game b tier is wild.

    Isn't unknown 115?

This is actually a bug, not a design intention - and it will be fixed for release!

Now he is weak or strong in the PTB version?

In my opinion, he seems balanced.

Keep your AI slop out mods just need to ban this account

  • Pop, pain res, deadlock and corrupt none affected by Diminishing returns always the go to

  • @zonkednb said:

    He's not fun.

    Unfun =/= OP.

He's the perfect storm of very restrictive on survivor decisions, obnoxious sound/visual design and, by virtue of being so unpopular, having players that lean into his reputation because they're not gonna be liked regardless of how they play (cannot blame them for this.)

Problem is, because he isn't OP, discussing how garbage he feels to go against for most players always has the discussion shift more towards his balance. People dismiss valid criticism of how annoying he is to face by presuming the survivor positions for them, and I think this defensiveness comes from the unfortunate fact that… He's just fun to play as (if you play on mute).

I can escape a Ghoul, but I didn't enjoy the process of doing so. That's the problem.

Exactly Devs and mandy even said his killrate is Normal and see no problem with him even though EVERYONE hates playing against him so they ain't gonna do jack

  • @ArkInk said:

Deputies Badge is the exact same idea as Lootbag on Springtrap, I don't see how it's fine on him but not Jason.

Edit: nvm I'm thinking of Burnt Fuse

    Bout to say lol

  • @Salafur said:

I think they should scrap ALL Basekits…. This games has become a joke with basekits for survivors

Thinking killer doesn't have any handholdings or basekits lol

  • @YaBoi0215 said:

I don't think these add-ons are extremely OP at all. I mean the haste lasts like 1.5 seconds after your throw animation ends so you don't even get to utilize the entire 3 seconds. It's good up close when you can but somebody into a wall but other than that it's a decent addon to get a little more distance on a survivor. I haven't tried deputy badge but I mean if you're getting caught out by that addon it's a you issue 99% of the time. Just leave and don't wait around in the exit gate.

Making a lot of assumptions bruh nah you it's very strong and I wouldn't be surprised it gets nerfed

  • You think we're dumb? We know that's AI generated slop

  • Yeah keep the flavor text

  • @radiantHero23 said:

    • Kaneki is awfully loud.
    • The first hit is even more free than Legions
    • His map mobility has almost no limits resulting in most people tunneling without any punishment or descision making
    • His cooldown after using power is too low, often leaving you with literally no counterplay if the map isnt stacked
    • Grab attacks sometimes still hit through objects, which adds to the cheap feeling when playing against them.

Just like with Nurse, I dont think this killer can be salvaged. The core design is fundamentally flawed.

Kaneki does need Audio balancing and just lowered in general

Either just make him a mobility killer only or make it so only Marked people can take damage from grab attacks.

    Needs Anti Camp protections

    Increase his cooldowns

Tweaking and Validations for unfair hits in place

  • Bond would be to strong however Kindred minus Killer Aura will help close the gap of Solo Q to Swf

  • @dbd900bach said:

Not really. Trickster is somewhat in his own little corner that isn't easily compared to other killers. He's projectile killer, but thats where the similarities end.

Technically, Trickster is actually more lethal than Jason with a much faster TTK provided he hits all of his knives and reaches B - S rank. He's also far more lethal at shorter loops with no line of sight blockers. You could even make the argument that Jason's projectile is weaker because he actually gives the survivor more distance in open areas since they're pushed so far back.

The actual big difference that makes Jason better is map mobility. A killer with mobility will always outclass a killer that has none like Trickster.

Basically Jason isn't a good comparison to judge whether or not Trickster needs buffs. Trickster does need changes, but not in the spirit of being stronger. He's miserable for survivors to go against, so thats where changes should be made, so both sides have fun. Thats never going to happen but its a better perspective than playing the comparison game to push changes.

That is definitely a hot take I cannot agree with sorry I do not think Trickster is more lethal then Jason

  • I do think Devs could have just made a knock off crystal lake map

  • Ghoul has very short leap cancel cooldowns he can leap at you cancel and wait 1.5 seconds and hit you it's ridiculous and needs to follow the other killers attack cooldowns of 3-4 seconds

Ghoul in-between leaps can hold his power for 5 seconds and move faster then a Wesker can with both his Egg and loose crank add-ons Wesker mains should know what I'm talking about. So Ghouls in-between leaps needs to be shorter and move slower.

People absolutely hate the grab attack we hate that it keeps you in place it should either just bite us and we continue running while he enrages and or just rework it maybe more like nemesis where he has to infect first before he can damage.

Ghoul is also buggy af and people hate that Grab attacks can hit you through objects and walls their needs to be fixed and more validations to this.

From what im seeing, using the hooks isn't an issue at all. They immediately regenerate if you use your omnipresent evil power. Just use it at the nearest vault location if you need that hook back.

That's what I saw with Omnipresent he's Anti Sabo build and Anti breakdown perk jason being able to regen hooks

  • @Xendritch said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4081581#Comment_4081581

On the topic of looping it's interesting because if you miss you're at a disadvantage and that's even if you get a shot but what makes it not quite that straight forward is if you make them drop the pallets and have your teleport you can reset on the other side of the pallet, you break it automatically and grab the broken pallet bits for a new projectile and your back in business (I've heard broken pallets is one of the things you can use if this turns out to be wrong then nvm lol) so while Jason's looping doesn't seem strong at first I think his strength there is his ability to reset the situation fairly easily if he messes up.

Hmm well if your using your omnipresence and then emerge break a pallet that's a fair bit of time to chain and transition too I think if a survivor saw the fog appear and you do that they would just run to the next loop

  • Now I know you don't know what you talking about cause the First is fine

  • @Xendritch said:

I've mentioned it previously but I don't think the comparison is very accurate but to go more in depth I think Jason is far stronger than Springtrap but advantages Springtrap does have is a command grab (in theory multiple but nobody goes into the office anymore) and the ability to do orbitals. Also Jason's stealth is way closer to Spirit's than Springtrap's. Not to mention Glitchtrap is probably way stealthier than Jason in terms of actually getting stealth hits.

Jason meanwhile has way better zoning and more consistent angles of approaching survivors and I'm gonna say better looping due to being able to teleport mid chase and being able to break pallets out of phase. Springtrap ideally wants to axe and grab before you get to a loop.

Mmm I wouldn't really call springtraps axe grab command an advantage cause most of the time you don't really get it or it to work right and orbitals ain't a reliable method either it's better to use the axe like a regular projectile instead.

I will agree Jason mobility is closer to Spirits mobility and his jumpscare emergence is very strong and quick and has haste and that Jason zoning is very good but just like Springtraps ptb and launch zoning that's probably going to get nerfed.

However I think in terms of looping and chase Jason might be weaker compared to Spring traps because in loop if Jason misses a Spike he's just a regular 4.4 m1 killer and if there's no piles nearby he's gonna get bullied in that loop

While as Springtrap can keep using his axe and if he misses he gets to be 4.6 even more if you account foxy hook addon.

Took me a hot minute to find the gameplay your talking about that ISNT edited down, lol. It showed about a 30 second gap between seeing him take a hook and seeing said hook still be missing before they turned away, so we'll have to verify the actual time gap the hook is going to be missing. I understand them not wanting someone to camp a hook on a hill to spam throws, but If it IS a minute respawn... that could be rough.

From what im seeing so far, the trash piles looks pretty plentiful though. I was noticing the distance between piles is about the same as the distance between hooks.

Funny enough I never thought of the possibility of a Machine Gun Jason just spamming spikes from a hill 😂

  • We have a system with Crows to detect if your afk so why not just punish if they get 3 crows?

It takes 4 mins unmoving to get 3 crows btw

Can you link one of these videos showing its 60 seconds? Im only seeing ppl reacting to the same gameplay clip.

Currently theirs clips on Youtube showing gameplay of Jason on Tricksters Delusional, Father Campbell's church and Swamp.

On the campbell video Jason take a spike from a Hook and it breaks and later in the video it's still broken so it seems his power obeys the hook breaking rules of respawning after 60 seconds of it being broken.

I'm at work but you can find it by looking up DBD Jason on YouTube it's what I did

  • @LordGlint said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4081478#Comment_4081478

He can get his projectile from hooks and those are EVERYWHERE

Watching the multiple videos released it's very map dependent on where piles spawns looks bad in some cases and if your taking from a hook your breaking that hook for 60 seconds so you need to be cautious cause you could be dead zoning yourself if you need to hook a survivor

  • @SkeletonDance said:

    What's his base movement speed?

I heard 4.6 but I could be wrong

Update he's 4.4 I just watched Jason just get looped on a small rock

I disagree. Mainly because he used a variety of weapons as projectiles as the survivors tries to flee from him. Friday the 13th Part VIII had him throwing an axe on the ship Lazarus. He used spearguns and harpoons in Part III and Part VIII. He also used throwing knives in F13 the game.

    It fits imho.

It fits but I feel like they only defaulted him to only a projectile thrower he could of had more tbh

Correction Elusive does protect you from killer instinct

Spirit is literally a top 5 killer. He has ranged AND a better spirit power? Everyone who cares about match integrity should be upset with this design.

Its not at all a better spirit power spirit is completely sound based which makes people with hearing conditions like me ever so frustrated with her but she can phase and emerge from anywhere.

Jason can only phase and emerge from pallets and Vault locations so he's like a weird spirit dredge hybrid which jason is gonna have the problem if there's none of these locations nearby he's gonna have it rough

  • @Rapid99 said:

Maybe I'm missing something… he's just a powercrept version of springtrap. Faster in general, better map traversal, better stealth, better ranged attack. Like?

Thing ive noticed unlike all projectile Killers who have a windup sound and slows down whole holding.

Jason has a very fast windup and no windup noise and no slowdown so he's gonna be unreactable and have extreme zoning potential this is gonna be awful for survivors

  • @coldflame said:

it's very overtly a direct upgrade of springtrap, power creep isnt new to the game but this is just like a 1:1 but stronger version of an existing power

i dont like how killer designs seem to be in an arms race with how strong survivors are getting, it just means the weaker parts of the old cast get left behind

Idk if I called it a direct upgrade his omnipresent evil I think is better then springtraps doors but his Spike throw I think is just bad if you miss your throw your just an M1 andy and if there's no piles around to reload your pretty screwed even if there was piles you'd have to divert from chase to reload wasting even more time while spring trap can just throw every 6 seconds

Also if you reload as jason from a hook it breaks the hooking spot so which seems like a bad idea to do cause if you down someone and reload from a hook your potential dead zoning yourself?

This I think is going to be pretty close. If not an instadown, perhaps a juggernaut-type rage mode where he can essentially walk through pallets/breakable walls. But the stealth/teleport some almost a given to me.

And I am thinking maybe the now infamous shed will be a feature that appears on all maps when he is the killer, and he can choose from the weapons within. Or at least serve some purpose.

Rage mechanic will be like Singularity in overclock breaks things super fast and if jason is hit with a pallet it just breaks and isn't stunned

  • @not_Queef said:

This is so dumb. Players shouldn't be expected to check a long-ass list of affected modifiers every time they want to make a build. The perk descriptions should automatically change to show the affected values in the menu itself.

Hard agree it should show in our perk load out

Devs literally made red arrows for the blood gen event what perks won't work and should just use they when perks we pick are diminished

  • Survivor nerfs killers want

    images (3).jpeg
  • Apparently due to copyright you can't call him Jason Vorhees only Jason

  • @Wezqu said:

They can use looks from movies 1-8 at least and most likely any character from those too. More recent information they can even reference Pamela Jason's mother. They don't have rights to first movies US rights or the last movies after eight as those are owned by New Line Cinema. So no Jason X for example. They might be able to use the Crystal Lake name as the series they are making for Jason is tittle that so it seems to be in the Jason Universe rights. Friday the 13th name they can't use as that is owned also by New Line Cinema thats the main reason why the chapter is named Jason.

Hopefully we'll get a wide variety of cosmetics for jason
