Um, sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but that's exactly how it works. It's worked the same way for 1000s of years. 10K hours has always been the gold standard for mastery in any endeavor.
Okay and you can do somthing wrong for 10k hours so they are goof at doing the wrong thing. Its just like how not all old people are smart or wise and shouldnt just be belived because they have lived a long time.

The devs dont truly care about accessibility or we would have had a dark mode blinds in the game a plague audio change and a doctor clash change. Its insane peopel are using the accessibility defense for nerfing the judgment.

Seems like you did not get the memo that it will only affect Exhaustion.
my apologies i thought it was just making it worse on exhaust perks not completely removing everything else. imo the perk should only work on non power non self inflicted status effects.

We have Bill as an old man, but we have no old woman survivor. I prestiged my Laurie recently, and I thought (having never seen the movies) that she was in her 40-50s, but she is in fact very young like many, many, many other young survivor women in the game…
May we have a granny survivor please ? It would be so unique. For inspiration, think about Carol from The Walking Dead or Ana from Overwatch. Both women past their prime but still great warriors able to survive.
We litteraly are getting an old lady survivor on the 25th

Who's fun do we base the game off? Bully squads? New survivors? Comp killer? Low teir killer? Everyone's fun is different and the best way to make the game fun for the most people is to balance the game. Its not fun to play dbd when you like ghost face because hes just so weak your always stressed and its not fun for survivors seeing the same 5 good killers over and over again if we can balance the game the ghost face player can have more fun and thw survivors can see more killers to have more fun. You have to remember there is another person on the other side and it seems both sides seem to forget that.

With Vigil, one of the main areas we identified was that it did too much against so many things - new statuses get added, Vigil works against them. Keeping it to exhaustion only can help us to balance the perk more, yes the percentage also increased and we're monitoring that, it can yet be changed after release. But having it work on so many statuses was becoming a balancing nightmare for the perk.
Personly it should just not work on self inflicted statis effects. Make it so it works on all statis effect that do not come from base powers like clown or Freddy and the survivor them self like with shoulder the burden. it would be easier to balance it.
-
Its still a good perk for anti statis effects. If you dont being effected by statis effect you run it sense most killers have a way to apply statis effects.

I think killers should be balanced around their downsides, right now I've been on the hag grind for quite a while and its been going well about a 72% kill rate and top 3 most played killers.
What I mean by my previous statement is that I would much rather hags weakness of her not being good in chase not be fixed. I think killers that are weaker in chase and stronger outside of it by the slow grind game of getting injuries and eventually snowballing is quite fun. (Ex. Judgement) This also makes the Hag player think a lot more than a normal killer would, as she cannot rely on just chaining downs and forcing chases.
Having a switch for her power would make her more fun in chase for either side as it increases her lethality and mind game potential. I think she could use most of her numbers add-ons basekit such as setting speed, teleport range and teleport duration increased as a nice QoL buff. To compensate an add-on pass could be nice but that seems to be a while from now.
The reason for making her a 115 is because of how much faster the game has gotten around her maps are bigger and she would still need to set up well and think about how she directed a chase. If we were still in the slow era of dbd I would agree having her not be as good in chase would make more sense but sadly we aren't gens fly insanly fast and she has to spend time setting up her traps making her 115 would help so much with setting up her traps but wouldnt make her broken it would push her from d teir to around b tier she still would have her normal counter play but she could get going in less time.

Alot of people come back for 2v8 and i mean alot because its the only time killer can play with friends so the killet player count shoots up while survivors dont really come back they just migrate to 2v8 making 1v4s queue times longer.

Why are tunneling, slugging, and gen rushing tactics, but body blocking off hook isn't?
After all, the body blocker is making themselves an easy target. To use your own words, it sounds like a skill issue if that can't be dealt with.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/4106816#Comment_4106816
We had this back before anti-face camp with Bubba's who'd stand in front of hook. Just do gens, leave - I hated those games with a fiery passion even though they were easy wins.
You can body block off hook thats a tactic the problem is the survivors that do this then ######### and complain about being tunneled. They are causing the tunneling. Its not a skill issue to have a problem with people being crybabies when they put them self in that situation. Yoy just want to absolve survivors or all wrong doing and clearly have 0 reading comprehension. Okay so you dont like when killer make the game hard and you dont like when the killer makes the game easy what do you want. Maybe an ai bot would be better for player like you so it can be programmed to follow the stupid survivors rules the try to push on killers. Because at this point yall will never be happy and cry wolf about things you causes constantly.

"impacting gameplay" has nothing to do with whether or not something is toxic. actions (whether done by survivors or killers, or heck literally anyone in any video game) that remove a player or players ability to experience the game they are trying to play are Toxic in a literal sense of the word. they are bad for the game in question. this is why Slugging and Especially Tunnelling will always be bad for DBD, right now they are a viable strategy but they should never be. which is why it is at the fault of the Devs that it is. I have no idea why it would be an argument or why some people can't see that something which is very obviously detrimental to the gameplay experience is exactly that. someone said it earlier, Spawntrapping/Camping in FPS games was a super massive problem for years and it was possible to do that within the confines of the game, and it was also extremely toxic and ruined everyones experience and so it was made impossible in many newer FPS games. DBD needs the same type of adjustments.
Slugging and tunneling are viable strategies because the decks have made the alternative for killer objectively worse to do. Why would I hook survivors when they get a ton of perks turned on and why would I spread hooks when all it does it make my pressure weaker. The devs encourage slugging and tunneling with how the design perks and maps. Its the devs fault for slugging and tunneling not the killer just like its the devs fault that gens and healing can be done so fast. On "impacts gameplay" everything impacts game play is pallet stunning toxic is using your power toxic is hooking toxic all things that take or change survivor or killer "agency". And not agency no its a game your agency was signing up for the match you joined the match knowing all the posible out comes you were not forced to play the game so no slugging you doednt take away your agency. You had the agency to bring anti slugging perks but didn't because you didnt think it was a big enough problem to bring just like your not losing agency on killer when gens get done fast but you brought no gen slow down.

Elusive doesn't really do much if the killer is lurking by the hook and just limpets to the unhooked survivor, which a lot of killers do.
10 seconds of endurance just makes hard tunneling that much easier. Elusive is definitely a step in the right direction but only helps if killer is late back to hook and the unhooker didn't follow the unhookee.
For the record I don't like survs using posthook endurance aggressively. Anyone who does that is free for a tunnel imo. And tbh it's a supid dexision for survs because it generally ends up with the same survivor back on hook.
If the killer is hanging around hook thats basicly 4 gens free. What it sounds like it your being saved infront of the killer basicly right away which im sorry is a skill issue. Tunneling is just a tactic like slugging and genrushing the way to fix it is actually make doing somthing else more beneficial.

because survivors were using it aggresivly they said that in the stream and survuvor is gaining 10 seconds of elusive the strongest survivor effect after endurance so stop healing under hook and body blocking and you can easily get away

Yeah it is unfortunate that the data isn't seperate.
its sad they dont just have the data public. they give us slivers and we have to extrapolate from that when they could just every month release the states of kill rates escape rates dc rates slugging times tunnel percents perl usage sense they have said they have all these states and being more transparent would help lower toxicity.

Why are people so obsessed to make her easier? Just invest time to playing her, not every killer has to require 1 match to master. She will reward those who do by dominating matches.
she's the community killer if she's insanely hard and not worth the effort like she isnt right now the devs will not do this again because people will just not play her she's going to be bottom 10 pickrate after her newness wears off. like artist who takes way to much effort for the reward so not many people play her. i would love to see the community be able to make another killer and survivor but if this one fails like the power changing skin on houndmaster failed they wont do this again.

The killer is ment to kill not hook. Hooking is just a way to kill the survivors. Maybe if the devs didnt make the strongest perks on the survivor side hook reliant people wouldnt slug as much. But as someone who has bad killer anxiety i found slugging fixed alot of that because of all the perks I dont have to stress about.

please ask if they can make lockers a killer item for dredge huntress and trickster.

" instant games and extra blood points "
because you need 4 survivors for every 1 killer, if you have 30% of the player base on killer survivors will get the bp bonus even tho they make up 70% of the player base. before jason i got the bp bonus more on killer then survivor.

Both have their upsides and downsides.killers do not have undetectable its survivors have oblivious and elusive sense they leave no scratch marks but still see red stains which is alot of infromation when looping the killer doesnt get with no scratch marks.

-
@HoodedWildKard said:
Like does anybody actually enjoy this game mode? Chaos shuffle and 2v8 definitely both have their issues but at least they are enjoyable.
Killer or surv lights out is not particularly fun for either side. Killers have a nightmare tracking survs down and gens absolutely fly. And survs put themselves at huge amounts of risk by just trying to do gens. And honestly who thought basekit franklins would make the game more fun.
Every game has the same pattern. Either killer absolutely claps survs who can't spot them and don't know tiles well enough. Or you get a couple of survs who know the maps like the back of their hand and one long chase loses killers 1/2 gens.
I gave it a try and had 7 awful pretty unfun games on both roles. If this game mode never returns I'm not going to have a problem with that.
killer feels like a humiliation ritual and survivor feel boring as hell with how fast the gens are done.

this is why survivors shouldnt have collision if they are going to have base kit bt make it so they cant body block.

This is because I don't believe that 99% of the nerfs in DbD in the last few years were even needed and do believe that these cries for nerfs are from user error on those that cry. Agree or disagree on this?
add a replay system and sure but with out one no.

If there was no timer you could be kept hostage in a match.
On top of that, it is the dying state. You are dying. It is longer than dying on hook so in theory it shouldn't be optimal for killers to bleed survivors out. But there's an argument to be made that many survivor perks make being hooked more beneficial to the survivor.
hooking is most of the time better for survivors and thats the problem slugging should be worse for the killer but with the strongest perks in the game being based on hooking or unhooking why would the killer hook in that senserio like you dont have to deal with deadhard, ds, shoulder, deliverance, the sabotage perks, the luck perks, self preservation, and the base kit bt and soon to be mini babysitter.

@Vampiremeat said:
As someone who’s plays both sides equally, there is a clear difference in playability. A killer who gets “gen rushed” isn’t adding enough pressure and can’t differentiate between tasks to keep the game going, but a survivor who gets tunneled out makes no blood points, is only forced to be in chase and the killer gets a free alert. Killers need to take more responsibility and nuance when it comes to picking your targets or tasks. A bad game for killer still makes a good amount of bp, a survivor who gets tunneled out doesn’t. Sorry that your emotions were hurt because 3 gens got done but that doesn’t justify tunneling, your build is just bad. With no competitive mode even in the game I’m not even sure why you want it to be a mandatory 4k every game when the goal at the end of the day should be bp for everyone. Thats why survivors go afk or bot out so often. Even a bad match as killer can still be fun. And I’m not saying give them a free win, I’m just tired of every game having tunneling and the only people to suffer from it is survivors. So MMR is a joke, no ranked or competitive, and all you’re working toward is bp. Killers need to be punished same as survivors who go afk/crows/botting.
You get very little bp if your gen rushed and if the survivor was better in chase they would get more bp. Why is it the killers job to make the game enjoyable for the survivor? Is it the survivors job to make the game enjoyable for thd killer because i can tell you its not. The people's job it is to make the game enjoyable for both sides in the devs and I mean both sides make the game ones sided isnt good.

its this, I do not understand why so many players are absolutely unwilling to see how removing a persons ability to play the match that they queued up for is a toxic mechanic from the outset. not even referring to the players doing it, its available to them so they will do it, but that doesnt make the mechanic itself any less bad. its awful and it needs to be entirely phased out as viable and until then people will continue to do it at different levels.
So is it toxic to make the killers match shorter then their queue time? Because 4 people with gen build can do gens un under 4 minutes making it so the killer basicly didnt get to play the same way the survivor didnt get to play. And you cant remove tunneling with out ru8ning the game for killer sense like we have seen twice now if you punish killer for tunneling swfs will just weaponize it. Immagin if survivors got punished for gens popping to fast. That would feel horrible and killer would weaponize it the same way survivors still weaponize free bt.

@GentlemanFridge said:
Idk, in my experience, genrushing is rarely something that is achieved intentionally. There are genrushing builds, which are their own topic regarding “toxicity”, but genrushing on its own is too vague a concept to be (or not be) described as toxic.
Tunnelling is a choice the killer makes, however. And regardless of the killer’s intentions with it, another player’s gonna be affected by that choice. Said effect is typically a boring match for at least 1 out of 5 players, likely more than that if the killer is succesful. That match may as well be called a waste of time for those players. That’s not a good thing, no matter how you slice it.
Whether it’s “toxic” hardly seems relevant. It just sucks to face. Simple as.
If tunneling is toxic because it ruins the game for one person then gen rushing is the same sense your queue as killer can be longer then the match it self so why does it apply to one side but not the other if its bad on one side its bad on the other and tunneling is just genrushing for killer its just doing there objective quickly. The devs should make hooking new survivors rewarding but last time that happend survivors didnt like the killer getting benefits and killers didnt like how you were put into allt of lose lose senerios with the anti tunneling.
-
@Doctor_Xenomorph said:
Honestly I would say it simply depends on the context of each scenario.
If 1 person is tunneled out at 5 gens, then yeah thats just toxic 9 times out of 10. On the reverse - tunneling out someone at 3/2/1 gens is perfectly acceptable.
If on the reverse- say a killer is struggling to get even a single hook or two, and 3/4/5 generators fly by very quickly- that is toxic on the survivors part.
Yes I understand that those strategies are the most efficient, however, if I am not mistaken - the goal of DBD is not to neccessarily be a super competitive game, it is more-so a "casual" game.
i wouldnt even call tunneling out at 5 gens toxic its the same as 3 survivors jumping on gens while ones in in chase its just bveinf effective.

See...that sounds exactly like double standards if I ever heard it…
It's not ego to want the 4k...but it's ego to want the 4e...like most at least try to hide the double standards they have mate…
Also survivors get a big ego about getting hatch so slugging for the 4k stops that toxicity.
Ignoring the fact of you lumping all survivors together: If they were going to be toxic about getting the hatch, they were going to be toxic regardless. I've had surviors boast random things, infact durring the banquet event one of those groups were harping about how bad i was…despite the fact i got enough downs to kill them all twice over. Slugging for the 4k is not going to fix it, it instead brings a different ego AND makes innocents miserable.

So if nothing is stopping you, why is it a problem? Can you not handle seeing a crouching animation for a couple seconds?
Why should a survivor lay on the floor for 4 minutes because a killer has an ego, as opposed to 10 seconds of smacking them out?Why do survivor have such an ego why shoudl they be able to hold the killer hostage for 2 minutes. Whats wrong can survivors not handle being on the ground just tab out or go to the bathroom its what killers are told to do. Survivors get a massive ego about getting the hatch and alot of killers just dont want to deal with that as well alot of killer challenges need killers to kill so getting 4 killer vs 3 can be the difference between finishing the challenge and starting another or having to play another match before getting to do a different challenge. Survivors are such victims complaining about litteraly everything killers do and they still gi e up under hook repeatedly.

And no, they don't bleed out for 4 minutes because the moved to hide. It's because they were left alone while they go find the hiding survivor.
You seem to get tilted enough to where you won't do it and instead make it a point of contention.
And yes, it's a pvp game, there will be BM'ing. You have to have tougher skin. Not sure what else to tell you.Survivors complain about tunneling and slugging when it objectively doesnt happen so sorry I dont take think its as rampant as people say.

I've been playing a lot more killer lately and I still don't get why some killer players will slug for minutes on end, often times going to such lengths as repeatedly picking up the 3rd survivor to prolong the game for a chance to find the 4th survivor. Like, I get it if you know where the last survivor is, even if they're halfway across the map, and you want the 4th kill. I do the same thing. But when you slug for the 4k without knowing where the last survivor is, you're basically spending minutes on end doing possibly the most boring thing in the game for a meaningless kill. On the survivor side, it's obviously worse, in my opinion it's more boring and sometimes frustrating than getting hard tunneled, proxi camped, or slugfests.
And your choices are to
1. wait for up to another full game's worth of time (depending on the killer's tactics) for the other survivor to bleed out or for the killer to get bored, in which time your likely to get caught, either from killer powers, perks, or AFK crows
2. hop on gens, maybe try to save the teammate, both of which will almost always get you both killed
3. eat a DC penalty so you can go next
4. get yourself killed so you can actually be freeIt's a complete waste of time for both sides and robs any chance of the hatch function that exists for a reason to actually come into play, a function that already favors the killer, and even more so if it's a movement killer which ironically I seem to experience this with the most.
I genuinely just do not understand why players do this. On survivor, if I get hatch it's like a consolation prize. When I get it, it's like "hey, we might have lost the game but at least I got hatch!" Like it genuinely does feel like it makes a bit of a difference, because even if we lost I still escaped. When I play killer, a survivor getting hatch is the most "I literally don't care" experience ever. If I get the kill, I'm like "okay I get to see my mori, cool," and if I don't, the match is over just the same and it makes no difference. Either way, I have won the game, and a survivor getting a consolation prize in 1/4 endgames makes zero difference to me. Again, ironically, a lot of these players already run Ebony Moris, so they've already seen their mori several times just this game. I genuinely don't understand why people choose to play in this incredibly boring, time wasting way. I don't know what fix there would be but there has to be something.
because alot of survivors get an ego about hatch so if I slug for the 4k is see less ego survivors. Also its the same as 3 survivor going for the rescue after gates open they just want to get everyone out like killer wants to kill everyone.

Because the devs equate tunneling with killing in how they were making the anti tunnel changes. As well survivors love to say the killer tunneled them out when they litteraly didnt i have had survivors tell me I tunneled them and seen teammates say they got tunneled when they objectively were not tunneled.

If you care that much about winning and can't handle playing without your favorite build, why are you even playing Chaos Shuffle?
Its not that I only care about winning its that i dont want my knees blown out before the match starts. Just disable the perks that completely change how the killer has to play and build and it would be more enjoyable and not a "cool i lost because of an addon" same for no mither it shouldnt be in rotation

When we get official killrates from BHVR Sadako has always had a decently high number with her usually around the mid 60's in terms of killrate. It is strange because this killer who is often considered a d or f tier killer has a higher official killer rate than Nurse who iirc had around a 44 the last time we got killrates. But something i noticed is that everytime we see the rates, Sadako only appears in the MMR 500 and above and she does not appear in the MMR 1800 or above.

The picture above is old and outdated i believe this is from a year ago but is the reason she has such a high killrate due to facing low MMR survivors? Because high MMR players know the counterplay to her is just shut off the tv near the gen but the low MMR survivor who is most likely a newbie, wouldnt now this and would get condemed. This goes to show that BHVR has failed new players with a terrible and outdated tutorial and those who are just begining to play the game wouldnt know how to deal with this killer but thats just my thoughts. Whats your take on Sadako having such a high kill rate?
She's weak but has a complex counter play so shes has a low pick rate meaning survivors dont learn how to counter her so she stomps when she is played.

Yeah problem is a lot of killers who can't run their usual build fall back on the maidenless tactics to secure a win.
I wonder why that is? Maybe its because its the best way to win just like survivors splitting up and doing gens. Weird how that works.

Killer players just dont udnerstand thats this is a fun mode and are trying dead seriously to compensate for whatever lack of skill they have.
The mode is not much better for killer. My first game was water logged shoe hag and no chase perks and no slow down perk making it so I was just a bad m1 killer with only one addon that takes away my power.
