Jason feels great, but...

Why aside from him there's basically NOTHING being added/changed?!

  • There is a survivor they have not revealed yet. That survivors perks are already usable in the PTB as universal perks but they are really that new survivors perks. So they are adding more stuff they are just revealing them slowly.

What I mean is that it's another patch like Stranger Things p2.
There's NOTHING besides new characters and perks.

  • It really makes me wonder what BHVR has actually been working on over the past many months. We have a new killer - OK - but literally basically nothing else in the game is changed and this is THE GD 10TH ANNIVERSARY. I wasn’t expecting anything mind-blowing, but to have literally nothing new in the game (other than Jason), no changes to perks, no new maps, no changes to maps, just NOTHING. Like, what have you guys been doing?

  • I do think Devs could have just made a knock off crystal lake map

  • Mandy has stated that making tons of changes to the game alongside introducing a chapter in the same ptb causes a lot of problems, but also takes a lot of feedback attention away from the chapter. This ptb is only for the Jason chapter, nothing else.

I believe its not so much there isn't more changes in future updates that they want to show us, but more so that this just isn't the time for that.

We're not asking for "a ton" but at least a decent amount of reasonable changes. Also, let's not pretend that devs always listen to feedback nor that balance changes made in mid chapters are not often questionable to begin with. The whole year 2025 was pretty much the perfect example of what I am talking about.

Literally just use the McMillan map and add a body of water as the invisible wall instead of the brick walls. They already have all the assets that looks like a F13 scene.

Yeah, the one time BHVR tried to do to much was with the anti-tunnel, anti-slug stuff and those should have been their own PTB each

There's really no excuse for not buffing a bunch weaker perks. Not even reworks, just some cheeky number buffs. Something simple enough that they can run it back if they overdo it.

I've created this thread and only when I was about to go to sleep is that I got word of what Mandy said.
I really can't believe it. BHVR FINALLY learned this lesson! S2
You don't buff/nerf any killers on the same patch that a new one is coming, but them doing this for everything else in the game/not just killers is even better.

  • We can't do balance passes on major releases. We can't do balance passes around events. We can't do balance passes because we're working on major releases.

Only two killers have been touched since November, and one of them just had some numbers tweaked.

Was Diminishing Returns really an eight month effort? That's the entirety of the perk changes for the first seven months of 2026, if not longer?

    Yeah.
There's no excuse for that indeed.

Exactly the problem. If they want to add new content and not change anything else to ensure the game doesn't break, that's great! But it feels like for the past 5-6 patches we've been getting literal table scraps because "they're holding the big changes off for later."

If we're getting just Jason and the new Survivor, I'm expecting, not hoping for something big this mid chapter. It's the expectation that arises when we haven't had a full Killer, Map, and Survivor Chapter since DnD.

  • Any creative change would be met by criticism. Either it's garbage or broken with no room in the middle. If the Devs can get by this anniversary with the typical killer OP pls nerf, they are doing pretty good.

This problem is only going to get worse. The pile of neglected content is getting bigger and bigger with each chapter. If anyone is hoping for their favorite killer from a previous chapter to get a rework or add-on pass, chances are it’s never going to happen.
