More likely something, BHVR could get if they wanted to.

Actually like i said light speed nurse im pretty sure was bannable and didn't even have a warning on the main game. I don't remember for sure.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2135562#Comment_2135562
Yes i know that was the point i was proving they banned for the nurse addon bug and didnt even give a warning on the main game. Imagine a new nurse using the addon and getting banned for "exploiting"
oh, I thought you were implying that this bug wasn't bannable.
Well, another one in piggy bank of double standarts.
-
barbeque and chili.
I physically cannot play the game if I don't get double bps per match as it doesn't feel rewarding at all and I feel like I'm wasting my time in square.
-
that nurse exploit was in fact bannable though, I recall several people getting a time-out for using it in public matches often.

I think the same. To read the forums tells me everything I need to know.
Imo, the reasons that something is "unfun", or "boring", or "annoying" etc. are the most stupid ones, to nerf something.
I mean, it is a multiplayer game, with a ton of content. It would be naive to think that everything, that one enjoys would also everyone else enjoy and vice versa.
There is always someone who dislikes something and always someone who likes something and that is the reason why I have the opinion, that every nerf, based on this is unhealthy for the game, since it robs part of the playerbase their fun and the game attracts less people, because the game can't offer future "X" anymore, to a potential customer.
On this think the crybabys of course never and that is to be expected, but that bhvr also sometimes takes that as a reason to nerf something is totally incomprehensible for me.
Imo, things should only be changed for a real reason and then not on a way that the feeling for this specific thing gets lost (and with that I mean everything, not just killers).
yeah, 'unfun' is very vague thing

Just main trixter and you will be safe.
nah, people already complain how annoying his power is.
I'm pretty sure devs will gut him sooner or later.
-
Tbh, devs should rework shrine of secrets to make all perks available there at the same time and decrease the cost of perks by like 500-1000 iri shards.
That would mean only characters will remain Pay2Play, but perks would be available for free for everyone.
But obviously BHVR wouldn't do that, because hurr hurr we need to squeeze as much money as possible before game collapses
-
Only if DS after gates are powered is no more.
Otherwise survivors crawling out with pick up protection for 60 seconds would happen too often.

How exactly am I supposed to read the Spirit if I can’t see ######### she’s doing? I can’t adapt to the Spirit I play against anyway because I find myself dead in 10 seconds and I have no time to even adapt to how she plays.
so in your understanding a mindgame when you can clearly see what the killer is doing? that can't really be called a mindgame

To preface, I loveeeee the Alien franchise. Aliens is in my top 3 favorite movies.
Now with that, I don't think Alien should/would come in for a variety of reasons in (no particular order)
1. Disney- they are very greedy and reluctant to let others use their properties. Alien has historically been an expensive license before Disney owned them and even now I could see Disney demanding a higher pay than any of the previous chapters sadly
2. Gameplay- there are a number of gameplay questions that come up
2A. Walls/ceiling climbing- one of necromorphs biggest attributes is that they climb and crawl on walls. Adding this would be pretty demanding on the game design which could lead to a lot of problems. To not be able to do this would be a significant change in the character
2B. Hooks- Necromorphs have never submitted to another being and there is no reason to believe they would submit to the entity since they are hive mind oriented. This also leads to necromorphs being focused on infecting others which gives them even less reason to use hooks since that goes against their primary goal. Finally, aliens would genuinely look kind of weird carrying people to hooks.
3.lore related
3A. See 2B for some lore related issues as well in regards to working with entity and hooks
3B. Space theme- Necromorphs would genuinely be out of place since they are almost exclusively in space type areas where nothing in the game remotely resembles that (maybe Hawkins).
Alien is a great property but it just doesn't really belong tbh. There is a better chance with Presator honestly but even that isn't super likely
>Walls/ceiling climbing- one of necromorphs biggest attributes is that they climb and crawl on walls. Adding this would be pretty demanding on the game design which could lead to a lot of problems. To not be able to do this would be a significant change in the character
Actually, Xenomorphs used that ability to get to their victims when they couldn't reach them or when they couldn't allow themselves a direct confrontation. In games like Isolation, where Xenomorph was going against weaponless meat (generally) he used his agility to crawl into vents and nothing else. Otherwise he was just walking on his two as he was in total control.
Aliens don't always kill on spot. They usually abduct prey into hive to turn them into hosts for more aliens. Entity could easily pull off the same trick it did with Demogorgon and make the Alien think he is supposed to "abduct" survivors to get them to the hooks.
>Space theme- Necromorphs would genuinely be out of place since they are almost exclusively in space type areas where nothing in the game remotely resembles that (maybe Hawkins).
Aliens didn't always take place in space or space colonies. A plenty of films featured aliens in decorations pretty similar to the ones we generally have in DbD. Obviously not perfect fit, but not very strange or bizarre. Not much stranger than Demogorgon in dead dawgs saloon or Trapper in hawkings.

Lol so you got one gen done and your team got destroyed, got it.
/s
Also, you only summarized one game. But did you win that one?
nah, we actually got 2 escapes that game.
In other games I was able to run from spirits, including stridor spirits long enough for them to stop chasing me. In any case, I was actually trying to do anything instead of giving up instantly.

Nurse is an M1 killer that takes skill to play, but rewards you with power. Spirit rewards you with power nonetheless.
I bet you're rank 12 survivor and never played against a red rank Spirit in solo queue.
nah, you lost the bet. Played against red ranks spirit and was able to keep up long enough for my team to do at least 1 gen.

That's how most of this game works.
When you're looping, you keep running around while the killer gradually catches up. You then make a 50/50 choice as to whether you bait a vault, or commit to a vault, in order to extend the chase. If you choose wrong and the killer reads you correctly, then you get hit.
NO THAT'S TOTALLY DIFFERENT THING11!

Learn and adapt to what? Flipping a coin on the right side?
Idk, maybe actually start putting any mind into reading spirit's moves instead of turning off your brain to make it a coin toss.

Legendary outfits should be changing visuals/sounds/icons of a character. They are a wasted opportunity.

Spirit has no consistent counterplay. Play against her in red/purple ranks in solo queue.
Key word: Consistent, because I'm not saying she doesn't have counterplay.

So survivors should just give up and do nothing because of one perk.
survivors should not be greedy for 4 escapes and let go of one of them.
-
Spirits problem is that people refuse to learn, adapt or try doing anything.
They fail once or twice and just give up any time they face spirit again.

Freddy has been my main ever since I first started playing, which was prior to his rework. One of the countless reasons why he was my favourite killer was the fact that he was unique when compared to the rest of the roaster. His failure of a rework turned him into the most generic killer possible, and I still main him.
Sometimes you love the character so much that changes aren't enough for you to switch to someone else.
Yeah, maybe that's not enough to switch, but such kind of changes surely kill most fun for me.

his addons are usually just QoL addons, such as his range and recharge, not making much of a difference. I kinda wish they changed a set of addons to enlarge the width of Punishment, but I doubt it'll ever happen
I just wish his very-rare&ultra-rare addons weren't useless niche #########.
Tormented survivors suffer from hemorrhage? Really? Why in the world will this ever be useful
-
@Tsulan said:
I chose Freddy as my main before his rework. Because i thought, that they could only improve him. Instead i got a different killer, who doesn´t fit my playstyle.
not only you got a different killer, you got a killer with an extremely low difference between skill floor and ceiling, that is and will be complained about which would lead into endless nerfs and downgrades, as BHVR would never admit they failed the rework and re-do Freddy again.
-
@Talmeer said:
That is exactly why I see a new killer not as an option for me.
I was pretty good with the pre rework Legion, without addons and exploits (and yes that needed skill, it has a reason why so many have never play the Legion on this way). Wouldn't say it was easy, but after some time I was very good with it.
Then the rework patch got released. Besides my problems with this patch to this day, I have also see this as a lesson towards other killers.
The last chapter I had bought, was the Ghostface chapter and I was thinking to make him to my main, but there is just no point. Sooner or later, he will be nerfed, as every killer about what survivors complain and he will not be nerfed on a way you know it from other companies, -> no, he will be nerfed so much on his basekit that it just makes no sense for getting good with him.
Sooner or later, he will be completely played differntly anyways, because bhvr goes into panic mode. So why the hassle?
Better is to lean back and to look sometimes if the game has improvet, or not. Needless to say, it hasn't in the important parts and if you try to say this to a dev, it is a pain in the a** to get from them a comment in the first place and secondly, they mostly just confirm your worst fears.
... So yeah... Leaning back and waiting for better times, or a other game that goes forward where bhvr is too afraid, are the only options someone is left with, if he plans to main something for a long time and not always with those thoughts in mind.
I mained demo because I thought they aren't going to nerf him, but 4,7,0 begged to differ. The only thing that kinda saved demogorgon was the backslash.

You're so right, that's why nurse is at the bottom of every tier list. It's why every tournament has NO ONE picking or banning nurse because she's just so weak..... LMFAO
jesus listen to yourself
nurse is literally the least fun to play killer in the game. She is picked so much because that's the only killer in the game struggling with bugs and her power more, than she struggles with survivors. Double CD made that far worse, which I was referring to.

My main got completely changed into a new killer. Freddy. Then I mained Plague and they completely changed very key elements to her power that made her unenjoyable to me. So I played everybody until Twins, where I decided to Main them...but I still feel they might do something drastic to them too.
I almost paranoid enough to think BHVR is after any Killer I try to master.
they already hard nerfed them though
-
If Pop was reworked to spread it's regression on all affected gens (so if you us oppression, you have 25% regression spread among these gens, not applied individually).
Then it would actually be awesome.
Plus it would mean more interesting builds for killers.
Too bad BHVR hates synergy.

Rancor. It's BS that you can get killed by just getting insta downed once.
Oh, about that.
It's funny how people complain about noed giving undeserved kills and etc, but totally forget about Rancor which literally is embodiment of such complaints - no effort required, no real counterplay apart from GTFO as fast as possible, no chance to escape if the killer actually gets you as you just get moried on spot.
Not to mention that running Rancor doesn't mean you're 3 perked for the majority of the game, as Rancor is basically a budget bitter murmur.
-
Dead hard
-
It's less boring than survivor.
-
He needs buffs / rework.
I personally think he needs the following changes:
- Shape has no stalking limits on individual survivors - limiting his oneshot ability when there's oni is just silly.
- Shape can kill survivors on dying hooks that he has stalked for some amount of time (which would be indicated by them becoming red now instead of indicating that he can't stalk them anymore) - that could replace the removal of his mori addons that could be subsequently reworked + keep his character that he doesn't really listen to entity
- EW3 makes his proximity impossible to tell (survivors always hear 8-4 meter proximity theme when they are inside his terror radius)
- EW3 increases ALL actions' speed, not just windows.
-
OG trapper's mask looks way better than the new one.
New one really lacks teeth (it seems as if he lost them in a fight) and generally looks like a squeezed pig's face.
-
Blight is yet another "hard to learn or master but is incredible when finally mastered" kind of killer, although I'm expecting people starting to cry about him sooner or later
-
Oh wow, I finally outplayed a survivor that didn't fall for any kinds of mindgames for minutes until now as M1 killer, whoops, never mind, they pressed a button and charged into pallet. Now I have to wait another eternity for them to make another mistake I can hope to capitalize on.

It's not a mindgame if there is not an equal opportunity to outplay the other, compare it to any other mindgame on all other killers.
For example, a moonwalking legion, you lose sight of the legion but you know what he is up to, you take a peek by moving a little to see if he committed or is baiting you.
except on all other killers survivor is the one having advantage due to red glow & 3rd person camera existence.

Found the entitled killer main. Solo needs a buff because of how difficult it is to play. Solo queue mains have it harder than killer mains and SWF mains.
People are considering to give killers buffs in all of their kits to synchronize with the solo buff, and I personally agree. Also NOED hinders solo queue tremendously.
found the entitled survivor main who thinks that playing killers for dailies makes him killer main.
All buffs solo needs is making perks like small game basekit. Not nerfing killers or killer perks.
Nerfing noed would simply make SWF even worse to deal with which in the end won't result in anything better. I'm perplexed how you can't grasp it.

because noed exacerbates the issues between solos and swf the best.
I guess you're just using solo q as an excuse to justify any complaints against killer things "nerf x because poor solo potatoes can't deal with them".
As for noed, I`ll repeat the same thing - if you or anybody else is having so terrible time against noed and doesn't have friends to play with, then you either take anti-totem perks and do the WHOLE job yourself (because it should be an axiom to you in solo q that nobody else but you is doing anything) or you just FORGET about totems, rush gens and LEAVE, abandoning everyone else who's less fortunate than you (or find a hexed totem, but I guess that's never an option because you risk dying which isn't fun).

...okay...here we go again i hate doing this.
Generators take 80 seconds each at base. 80x5:400 seconds for all 5 gens.
Totems take 4 seconds each and theres 5 of them (72).
Lets say first survivor goes down in 30 seconds to bubba. START A TIMER FOR 120 SECONDS *bing* all 3 of those survivors say have 40 seconds left on their gens. 2 gens left. Noones even done totems yet. Lets say it takes all the survivors 10 seconds to move to their next gens. Survivors almost halfway dead on hook and even if 2 people double team the one gen the other gen cannot be done before the survivor dies. Last gen has 30 seconds left. Bubba downs that guy as last gen pops. Now he either hooks and facecamps him or uses his noed to get the other 2. Either way its a 2k or more. AND THIS IS GENEROUS numbers to survivors. Imagine if they had to travel to totems cleanse them and move for far away gens.
If killer is camping you simply do gens and then waste all pallets to GTFO since killer didn't eat them earlier. Even if survivor just stands still, you'd still have at least 120 seconds of sheer camping to get 4 gens done and then finish the last one while one of you distracts killer for half of a gen

no in being a killer main.
Not to mention that devs are adding even more perks to help FINDING (which shouldn't be a problem for good players you guys claim to be) and destroying ALL totems.
Solos shouldn't have to use perks, items, or add-ons to get information SWF players get for free. I've said that so much that my phone automatically types it but nobody around here ######### listens (or reads), apparently. Mother nature gave you some eyes, use them.
I miss the part where disbalance between solos and SWF is a problem of noed and not poor balancing of solos and SWF.

I can back up @glitchboi but go off bestie
back up where? in whining about noed? this perk has more counterpicks & counterplays than all survivor meta perks combined. If you, him or anyone else are incapable of using these counters, it is their problem.
Not to mention that devs are adding even more perks to help FINDING (which shouldn't be a problem for good players you guys claim to be) and destroying ALL totems.
Saying noed is problematic because in one of 100 games many coincidental things happen and you won't have any chance to deal with it is the same kind of argument as 4 man tournament SWF.

3k-4k almost every game in red ranks, 1.9k hours, Blight and Clown main.
"1,9k hours" let's assume you played at least half of that time as killer which gives us 950+ hours of killer experience.
You know that you should be 3-4king almost every match with that amount of experience unless you deal with rare top survivors? It's pretty expected to win against most survivors, especially when you are playing noobstomper clown and 3rd strongest killer in the game.

i main killer and i think noed is a crutch lol
Killers can slug with NOED while other survivors are near the exit gate trying to open the doors. Any M1 killer can use NOED efficiently.
I made a post of a good example of a bs case of NOED above. Also, no one wants to look for a totem hidden in the depths of Lery's or Hawkins or any other map for that matter, it's better to leave and let the killer get their bs kills. Though the killer can kill everyone ELSE with NOED unfairly, even if they try to leave, as I said above.

Found the Sluzzy of killer mains
prove me wrong, please.
right now I'm seeing bitching of greedy survivors and nothing else.
Noed is a real threat in two cases:
1) Killer is Nurse/Spirit (or any other high mobility + basic attack killer)
2) Killer is camping AND survivors are going for safe.
In all other cases killer wouldn't benefit much from noed (since they either already have built-in oneshot or would have to stop using their power to benefit from it or they are generic M1 loopable killers) so you can just play endgame normally and simple leave.
In cases I've mentioned above you're either ######### regardless (if it's nurse/spirit) or you can find a hexed totem before going for safe or just LEAVE and abandon that survivor who becomes a disposable resource to distract killer from you at this point.
-
@glitchboi said:
No one wants to do 5 Ruins when we have 3 gens while the killer has 6 hooks, instead of doing generators to escape. "Let's just do 5 bones to prevent NOED which is probably non-existent in this game."
you can just finish gens and leave, you know? even if killer gets someone, you just leave them to death.
you need to deal with noed only if you plan on staying in end game for long.
