Alien in DbD: Yes or NO? If yes, what their power should be?
Discuss
My personal wish for Alien`s power should be an addition of a "vent" system connecting all lockers in the map that could be available for both killer and survivors to use and which would be locked if the other killer is present.
Survivors would be traversing that "vent" slower than the killer, however they risk being caught if the Alien also decides to enter the "vent" at that time.
Mechanically it would be like Demo's portals, but without any sound cues + available for survivors + (preferably) with actual visuals of survivors crawling through vents/tunnels different for outdoor and indoor maps.

To preface, I loveeeee the Alien franchise. Aliens is in my top 3 favorite movies.
Now with that, I don't think Alien should/would come in for a variety of reasons in (no particular order)
1. Disney- they are very greedy and reluctant to let others use their properties. Alien has historically been an expensive license before Disney owned them and even now I could see Disney demanding a higher pay than any of the previous chapters sadly
2. Gameplay- there are a number of gameplay questions that come up
2A. Walls/ceiling climbing- one of xenomorphs biggest attributes is that they climb and crawl on walls. Adding this would be pretty demanding on the game design which could lead to a lot of problems. To not be able to do this would be a significant change in the character
2B. Hooks- xenomorphs have never submitted to another being and there is no reason to believe they would submit to the entity since they are hive mind oriented. This also leads to xenomorphs being focused on infecting others which gives them even less reason to use hooks since that goes against their primary goal. Finally, aliens would genuinely look kind of weird carrying people to hooks.
3.lore related
3A. See 2B for some lore related issues as well in regards to working with entity and hooks
3B. Space theme- xenomorphs would genuinely be out of place since they are almost exclusively in space type areas where nothing in the game remotely resembles that (maybe Hawkins).
Alien is a great property but it just doesn't really belong tbh. There is a better chance with Predator honestly but even that isn't super likely
Necromorphs are from Dead Space, not Alien, In Alien they're called Xenomorphs
(i am sorry but for the sake of my brain i had to correct it)
This is all I can think of in my current state of mind:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CMiUgV4_Cds######### you're right lol.
I've been playing a board game (nemesis) that is basically Alien (very awesome game) and one of the enemies is called necromorphs which further mixed me up.
I'm ashamed lol

Actually, Xenomorphs used that ability to get to their victims when they couldn't reach them or when they couldn't allow themselves a direct confrontation. In games like Isolation, where Xenomorph was going against weaponless meat (generally) he used his agility to crawl into vents and nothing else. Otherwise he was just walking on his two as he was in total control.
>Hooks- Necromorphs have never submitted to another being and there is no reason to believe they would submit to the entity since they are hive mind oriented. Aliens don't always kill on spot. They usually abduct prey into hive to turn them into hosts for more aliens. Entity could easily pull off the same trick it did with Demogorgon and make the Alien think he is supposed to "abduct" survivors to get them to the hooks.
>Space theme- Necromorphs would genuinely be out of place since they are almost exclusively in space type areas where nothing in the game remotely resembles that (maybe Hawkins).
Aliens didn't always take place in space or space colonies. A plenty of films featured aliens in decorations pretty similar to the ones we generally have in DbD. Obviously not perfect fit, but not very strange or bizarre. Not much stranger than Demogorgon in dead dawgs saloon or Trapper in hawkings.
