  • The picture concept is about using your head, just like when killers play trapper. You click the camera once at a TL. If your at the TL then you can see the killers Aura . The killers aura will be seen at a minimum of 3 seconds. So you can also take pictures of 5 loops.

It's a little difficult to explain...So when the item concept camera, you take a picture of a loop. The loop you take a picture of in a 360 degree radius and 24 meters will be highlighted in white. If you go to the loop then you will see the killer aura for a max of 15 seconds (The cameras duration). If you want to see killer at loops then you click another loop, this will make it so where you see the killer for 7.5 seconds each loop. If you really want to, you can click the camera (45 degree radius) and do 15 loops, 1 second killers aura shown per loop.

  • I want a support item, not too OP. It might seem OP at first but it's just a concept. So 15 seconds, each stun (1 second to 0.5) . You can stun 5 times so 2.5 seconds default. No too OP, I want to make it about 5 seconds max. Each 0.5 second stun will require the survivor to charge the camera for 3 seconds.

So you would like to give survivors potentially 20 extra stuns against a killer?

You absolutely have to be a troll account.....

The survivor can only stun the killer 5 times

    New survivor: Mildred Mcmanus

Speed 75% of normal survivor run speed.

    Perks:

Life alert: once per match when downed can summon assistance to go back to wounded state. Works like unbreakable, but you have to wait for the phantom ambulance to arrive

Handbag with a brick in it: 1 minute cool down 5 second stun when facing the killer.

    Respect your elders:

Passive, when running within 5 meters of another survivor, they are compelled to lag behind and take the protection hit.

I know this is a joke but if the developers could do this or something like this, it'll be pretty cool.

As a killer main my thoughts are that DS is healthy as for anti-tunneling, it is unhealthy when survivors abuse (invisible doing a gen etc). Thankfully due to the changes the abuse of DS should hopefully reduce

The anti-tunnel hasn't been fixed yet. Like I said, it's close. The only issue I have is the fact that some killers will abuse the nerf and 50/50 guess if you have it. If you don't, the killer can free tunnel. I think no scratch marks and blood for a few seconds is healthy, it'll make is where the killer can't follow your tracks. I suppose this could cause a lot of issues, it's not a perfect "Anti-tunnel" will exploits, I'll work on a better change.

Not denying that it makes a slight impact but there are just far better perks you could use, I personally wouldn't ever use one of my perk slots for it unless I was coordinating with other people.

Your right but you do understand how this perk works. I'm a survivor main and this perk annoys me. Doesn't matter how toxic you are, everyone must understand that this perk is active when the killer trying to win (hooks), it isn't an extremely strong perk but it's an OP concept.

    ......

There is a cap on how many stacks you can have, genius.

I don't think there actually is, it doesn't say a cap

  • @EvilJoshy said:

I don't like the idea of this perk. I just watched an Otz video and he did like 15% of a gen with a single skill check. I think this perk could be problematic in the future in it's current state. Maybe put a cap on how many stacks you can have.

At that EvilJoshy is a solo, are people really going to keep saying "the perk is trash, it needs a buff". If this perk got buffed, a really powerful solo and swf perk.

  • But it isn't only deaths, it's per hook.

As a solo, if 3 are on death hook which is normally the case, that's 18 tokens. 18% of a gen is actually pretty good, it saves 14.4 seconds. (65.6 second gen).

Not to mention there's toolboxes, resilience and prove thyself.

  • This weren't a smart idea but let's put into practice, 8 hooks instead.

So if every swf member is nearly dead (second hook) and they saved there tokens, that would be 88% of 1 gen or 44% on 2 gens.

  • @Chchchcheryl said:

Fast track tokens stack up to a max of 27 tokens (if all other survivors were three hooked

    That's an immediate 27% on a gen

That's a brand new part, that's pretty nice.

    So if I where in a survivor with friends, it'll be 27 x 3 correct? That's a extremely broken.

  • Wraith VS Trapper, this is a hard one.

Trappers power is better when it comes to "downing" a survivor but the power isn't consistent. With wraiths new buff, he moves a lot faster now so he's much better, or so I thought. The extra speed is nice but it takes longer to uncloak, which kind of sucks. I would in my opinion say wraith is better, he has a great consistent power and he has great map pressure. Trapper lacks map pressure, "most trappers run corrupt intervention to fix that", his power is only good if a survivor actually walks into the trap. That's my opinion.

I wanted to say thanks to the Dev’s, I appreciate what you’ve done to the game, and it is now enjoyable again, actually feel like I have a chance of survival!!! You guys are awesome!! I knew you could do it, Me and my wife are completely happy with the game now!!! Thanks again

    P.S don’t change decisive strike

I don't really care about Ds anyway, I'm glad they changed object so now I cant actually play killers like Trapper or Hag.

  • The new one is a buff I think, the old one was alright but it could of been counted by "good" survivors, the new one is now all killer favoured unless you cleanse it lol.

Biased or not, it's good to speculate. Whether your a survivor main or a killer main, keys are next. So I just want to work our what the key will be used for if it's going to be a "big" nerf.

ok but take the highest amount of skill on both sides and survivors win, the exception to this out of all the killers is nurse DEPENDING on the map that's not balanced.

50/50 also wont work since on losing games killers can still get 1-2 kills and winning games are 3-4 which will make the kill rate above 50% as seen with the stats provided by the devs.

As long as killers or survivors don't lose ranks because there both playing trash.

  • Am I the only person to understand that 1 down isn't equal to 1 gen but it always happens.

1 gen = 20% of the objective for survivors

    1 hook = about 8.33% object for killers (12 hooks is 99.6%)

Survivors need more start game actions, maybe you have to build gens or do something to access a gen.

Maybe add another 10 seconds onto gens, it isn't that much longer.

  • Why is this a conversation, survivors and killers have skill caps, if the killer is good then 4k is balanced because he earned it. If the survivors are good then all 4 will escape. A balance is nothing to do with getting kills, it's skill. Get good at the game and show that your deserve an escape and deserve a 4k. Although, 50/50 is literally balanced.

  • Survivors still have there anti-tunnel perk and OoO was a mistake of a perk. When I play survivor, I us DS to counter tunnelling killers so Idc about the nerf. Now that OoO is nerfed, I think I can play Hag or Trapper knowing survivors will not know where all my traps are.

Ds and OoO wasn't just a nerf, it was a fix. Ds is a "Anti-tunnel" perk, still is. OoO was just too OP in a swf but now it's a good perk for solos like myself to run. Developers wanted to buff solos, this is a start. Now about that Premonition buff, I need it.

I mean... all perks either unlock an ability or reward you in some way for "playing average". Thats just what a perk is. Noed really is kinda weak due to how inconsistent actual value in it is, and as such it is very rarely used in the higher ranks. Optimal play encourages totems to be done earlier anyway to set up inner strength, and decent players tend to have taken note of where the dull totems were earlier in the match. Its also contingent on even getting to that point in the game. Its annoying when it does work, I agree, and results in unearned downs, but if you get one unearned down every 20 games, its not a strong perk, its an annoying perk.

You didn't pick a perk too buff, it's a trade off

  • @GannTM said:

Just going to ask a straight forward question to the people who want Spirit "nerfed": are you asking for a buff to compensate? It doesn't sound like you are because of the way you're wording your logic. I feel like a lot of people need to realize balancing things out doesn't always necessarily mean nerfing them. Let me educate a lot of survivor mains that the definition of "nerf" is "to decrease the power of something." Why does Spirit need to be a weaker killer? I main Spirit and agree she needs some tweaks but it's not impossible to keep her as strong as she is while balancing her out.

I've seen many people make proposed changes to Spirit that have so many flaws in it that it makes me feel like they have never played Spirit before. I remember watching this one guy on YouTube that ranted about how "OP" and "easy" Spirit was and proposed that they should bring back the breathing bug along with having a fatigue coming out of phase similar to what Nurse and Legion has. As you expect, I didn't hear about any buffs she can receive to compensate. These two changes would immediately drop Spirit down to B-tier and would honestly make her just as hard as Nurse in some situations. Honestly wouldn't really mind if she was almost as hard as Nurse as long she's still on Nurse's level of strength. Adding a fatigue to Spirit's kit is such a big addition that you'd almost have to make Wakazashi Saya (purple reappearance add on) base kit to balance it out. I've also heard people say Spirit shouldn't be able to hear survivors while phasing. Spirit relies so much on audio that this would about kill her. All survivors need to do against Spirit is to make distance and double back as soon as they see Spirit stand still if she couldn't see or hear them.

I really don't mean to be rude when I say this, but if you don't play Spirit, then your ideas for her probably aren't going to be good, and this applies to every killer. If you do want to brainstorm good ideas, play Spirit more often and you'll get a better understanding of what would be best for her. Also, for the love of Jane Romero's thickness, please stop saying to nerf a killer without proposing something in return. That right there proves to me you're only for one side. Not saying there aren't people that are bias towards the killer side and think that Spirit's flaw in giving the survivors little information is balanced. There are definitely a lot of Spirit players that ruin the reputation of my waifu because of their toxicity and entitlement. We can all ignore those people and the survivor mains that do the same and have a civil discussion about this topic.

Now even the DEVS are scummy enough to nerf spirit again, whether you like it or not, spirit does require some skill and so do survivors. Stop complain about spirit and start question "Is there a counter".

Iron will, off the record, lightweight, Dance with me, Poised, Exhaustion perks, Generators done and other things are counters lol just get good.

(The devs has messed with the sound to nerf spirit but that isn't enough is it).

Just make Freddy harder to play, Bam solved

I think for Huntress it's just going to be an addon rework to give her the same amount of each tier as the other killers and hopefully an iri head nerf/rework though I wouldn't be surprised if they fine tuned the hatchet hitbox while they were looking at her.

    YES IRI NERF NEED HAPPENING

  • I don't play Freddy but he isn't more OP than nurse, is he?

Simple hatch only spawns at all gens done or when the last survivor is alive. It has its purpose as an alternative escape but you can't skip the last few gen if two people are up.

This was another idea I had too but what will keys be used for then?

I had another idea where you actually change the hatch to an emergency escape.

    • 1 - When all gens are done, it'll take 20 seconds to open
    • 2 - Only 1 survivor can escape through it
    • 3 - If there are 2 gens and 1 survivor, it will not spawn, only when all gens are done or 1 gen remaining.
    • 4 - WHAT ARE KEYS FOR?
  • The survivor main thing is an excuse lol, I don't run keys because I'm a solo and I don't want to get tunnelled.

  • @lucid4444 said:

I also hope that the nerf isn't simply adding a 1 second animation to unlocking... but there's no reason to believe that is the nerf.. so why worry? We will just have to wait and see :)

As a survivor main I hope it isn't too rubbish but how the hell are the DEVS suppose make the key nerf the same as the mori's nerf.

  • @Moundshroud said:

I think the current form of Distortion is really unworkable. Many people (myself included) have tried to come up with changes, most of them convoluted and code heavy. I would suggest removing the Tokens and making this simply a Survivor version of Insidious. See below:

    DISTORTION

This Perk unlocks the stealth ability. Standing still for 4/3/2 seconds will grant you the Undetectable

Status Effect until you act or move again.

Good idea but I suggest altering it a little bit

    1. After standing still for 2 seconds, you stay "Undetectable" for 5 seconds after
    2. The perk will have a little cooldown 20/15/10 seconds.
  • DH is a powerful perk but I think exhaustion perks are in an alright place. A good idea for a nerf to exhaustion perks is that your exhaustion perk cooldown only goes down when out of chase, so no more walking in chase.

  • I am a survivor main and even I will be P!ssed if they nerf devour hope.

YOU HAVE TO CLEASNE TWO TOTEMS.....

  • The developers wanted a way to buff solo, isn't this an alright idea. This require "Solo" skill and the solo is getting a lot of bloodpoints.

  • @SleepyWillo said:

If the killer can accept the bounty, and survivors can only do a bounty solo, the killer knows bounty = solo players.

If a killer knows its solo players, IMHO, they'll be more likely to employ tactics such as insidious camping and tunnelling as they know the group would be less coordinated...

Ah yes, I should explain. It's the survivor who looks for the bounty and not the killer. The bounty is shown to the other survivors and not the killer so it'll be like any other game but with a big reward...

  • @HuDawg said:

If a killer is face camping i kill myself simple as that🤷‍♂️

You have the wrong idea. If the killer is face camper then yea you probably should try and 4%. If you team is running towards you then don't. A lot of survivors complain about "hook suicide" because it ruins there game. Some survivors hook suicide because they're trying to make the killer lose but honestly, it's worse for the survivors.

With the recent rank reset (all the way down to rank 16), I have decided to take this time to do some of the killer adept achievements, focusing on my current two mains, Cannibal and Deathslinger. Although I've found doing adepts with all of my survivors to be pretty easy, doing these killer adepts has been a major challenge.

Any advice on completing the adepts for Cannibal and Deathslinger? I've gotten a few Ruthless Killers during my adept attempts, but not a Merciless yet. I find that while I get great tracking information from BBQ & Chili, I struggle with losing gens quickly since I don't have any slowdown perks. As for Deathslinger, he has some gen slowdown with Dead Man's Switch, but I feel I don't have good tracking information coming from the other two perks.

For what it's worth, I watched Otz's video on killer adepts and strategies for each killer, but I would appreciate some other perspectives.

Wow actually didn't think people like you exist. You want advise and not saying he's "Uncounterable" , good on you.

    Deathslinger

Just like with huntress, looping the deathslinger at tiles which will make it easy for him to hit like a TL. You need to play differently against deathslinger than any other killers. I'm sure you know how to loop a TL correctly, the answer is don't. Be unpredictable, don't make obvious movements and that's a good counter.

    CANNIBAL

    Force an M1

  • When I play killer, I liked using Hex: Undying. When I play survivor I liked using ds. So don't b!tch say crap like survivor or killers sided.

Camping would prevent your teammates from getting you off the hook at all. Deliverance would be beneficial for that. Even if you get smacked down immediately after, you still have DS/unbreakable.

Exactly, Deliverance is a anti-camp perk with other perks, it's also a "Getaway" perk if your team has left.

  • @cburton311 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/227400/anti-tunnel-camp-slug-build

Deliverance is a death sentence if you are being camped...

    Kindred is the anti-camp perk

Does nobody actually play dbd. If you "Coby" in front of the killer then you still have unbreakable and ds. If the killer picks you straight after you've been of the hook, ds will activate. If the killer slugs you, unbreakable and soul-guard will activate.

The only issue that I can see is if you go down first, then your screwed. Apart from that it's a full proof build.

  • @JPA said:

How is Deliverance an anti-camp perk? If someone camps, and you use it in front of them, you're going straight back down.

If anything Deliverance punishes people who DON'T camp, as you want to use this perk when they are nowhere near the hook.

I'd swap Deliverance for We're Gonna Life Forever, which would make this even more effective at anti-slugging, as you are now slug-proof with Unbreakable, and can quickly pick up other slugs.

Lol your missing the point, if your off the hook in front of the killer then you can use DS or Unbreakable...

  • 4th perk slot could also be kindred or borrowed time

lol this is true red ranks survivor are nothing unless sweaty swf with OoO. this one is the worst. i dont care if i need to camp to kill if u get OoO

Honestly, as a solo OoO was unusable. Lucky for killer mains and solos like myself will actually get uses out of the perk. It was a very unbalanced in a swf, the new OoO actually seems fun.

  • @HuDawg said:

Run deliverance and ds, it's a good anti-tunnel build. Same with unbreakable and soul-guard. If a killer tunnels you, run better perks lol.

  • Oh yea haha I forgot "Smurfs". Each time you DC you get a 10 minute ban but it doesn't stack, maybe 5 mins.

  • I would reduce it's cooldown from 30 to 20 seconds, make the radius degrees smaller (Not range) and make it where you can see the killer for 1 seconds each time you use it. You do see stealth killers.

  • I think it's survivor sided when it comes to the new game map, I can't see a single reason why the game is killer sided. Sure, the bad hit boxes but that's the developers fault lol.
