@XeroIdea You did read the patch notes for the changes you've missed, right?
You said that Barbeque and Chili is a "perk to lean on" however the only part of the perk that helps killers kill (aura reading) got nerfed as now you can hide in lockers to deny all aura reading. So on the off chance that you aren't able to hide behind a generator you can hide in lockers as well.
You also complained that NOED is a crutch that let's killers grief players . . . you do read your posts before posting, right? Okay, I'll give you NOED being a "crutch" I won't count it when used on Freddies, but let's say it's a crutch. You actually complained about a killer killing survivors by calling it griefing? Were you sober and sane where you composed your post or had you taken leave of your senses?! Killers kill people, it's in the freaking name!
Moving on to your complaints about a toxic community I must agree with @DocOctober on this one. Sure it sucks, but acting just as toxic as everyone else doesn't get us anywhere. "An eye for an eye just makes the world blind." (Ghandi)
Your complaint about the add-on that removes her whooshing sound failed to mention that said add-on is actually rather expensive. (The high price of said add-on actually makes the great power it has reasonable not to mention that you can only use it once unless you have an equally expensive offering.)
Your complaint about Haunted Grounds is actually rather negligible as while 1 minute of exposed is indeed strong, after your 1 minute rampage you only have 3 perks for the remainder of the trial. Not to mention that more powerful perks than this exist for both sides ( NOED grants endless exposed until broken and Saboteur can remove a hook for up to 4 minutes.) You're making this perk sound far stronger than it actually is.
Your criticism of Legion is actually well executed though I am genuinely surprised that the Spirit's no whoosh add-on got your attention while the Legion's Frank's Mixtape that was heavily abused by many has escaped your criticisms.
Your complaints about the other killers are indescipherable to me. You said other killers are "stupid broke" including Doctor, Leatherface, and the Huntress. However, what does "stupid broke" mean? Are they too powerful, too weak? You said that the tie for worst killer is Freddy and Clown right after so I am assuming that you meant the 3 aformentioned killers are weak. Which while Bubba has many counters and Doc can get screwed by lag, Huntress is actually fairly good where she stands so this seems like an uninformed proclamation. Furthermore you claim that the Shape (Michael Myers) is on par with Nurse, which is completely delusional. The shape relies on survivors playing like idiots to stalk enough evil within to actually get to a point where he can mori people. Conversely, the Nurse can defeat even skilled survivors using her power. This demonstrates a lack of game knowledge that actually helps me understand why you took a break in the first place.
You also complained about cosmetics which I find to be especially arrogant as for the longest time the only cosmetics available were the pickings from the suitcase dlcs alongside a handful of codes. The fact that you can choose simple color variations for the default outfits or a fancy outfit is something to be thankful for instead of just wanting more. You also failed to consider that maybe the reason that the licensed characters lack cosmetics is because, I dunno, they don't belong to BHVR.
You started you post by stating that you had been gone for a while. I will be honest with you. If you are not still thoroughly interested in Dead by Daylight then I encourage you to leave again, for your sake. You said that MW3 and RDR2 have captured your interest so I suggest you play what you enjoy. After all, your wall of text clearly shows that you don't really know a lot about or care a lot about Dead by Daylight. -
Breakdown makes non obsession DS guaranteed if the killer camps so that's something that happens now. Only really affects campers though.Plu said:Thanks for restating what Tru3 said ages ago.

You can't dodge a map though. Dodging means that you disconnect in the lobby to avoid any punishment for abandoning the group or dc'ing. Maps are only revealed after you load. Mass DC'ing the second a trial starts will just get you banned, though I suppose that means you won't have to play on any more corn maps so maybe that's what you want?

I have seen a Wraith once with Brutal Strength, Enduring, NOED, and Fire Up. They had Shadow Dance Blood and Blink White. People always told me that Wraith was weak and could easily be countered by pallets. As we repaired more and more generators the beast got faster, no, angrier. At the very climax of the trial, my allies fell to the earth swiftly as we were exposed without our pallets. Beware the pallet eater, lest he comes for you next.

I will have you know that Rotten fields is an excellent meme map. For any Hillbilly main, the ability to spend the entire trial chainsaw sprinting in a massive circle is a great way to reduce stress and have a blast. Rotten fields should be protected!

I'm sorry that you had to deal with some unpleasant comments however, I am afraid that negative comments in the post-game chat are all too common. Let me share with you some advice I'm stumbled across in my time playing.
For Survivor:
Your ability to hit skillchecks will play a large role in how well you and your "allies" do in trials. If you want to practice skillchecks without the threat of being savagely beaten for messing up I recommend that you try using this skillcheck simulator ( http://mistersyms.com/tools/gitgud/index ). As for everything else, it all comes down to experience.For Killer:
Usually, as a killer, you just need experience and perks to handle problems. Since you're new I highly recommend that you continue playing Doctor to maximize your practice with him and Bloodpoint gain. Then after each trial, I highly suggest that you take your newfound bloodpoints and pour them into one of these three killers (if they're available to you).1.) Hag - You probably saw this coming but HEX: Ruin's usefulness is truly amazing. Getting teachable HEX: Ruin unlocked so that you can have Ruin on the Doctor should almost guarantee better games. As an added bonus of leveling up Hag you can try getting Teachable Devour Hope which can work excellently on Doctor as long as they can't find the totem early. (Since you said you like Doc I would recommend that you avoid using Third Seal on Doctor as the madness screams counter the lack of aura reading. This being said, don't be shy to unlock teachable perks when you get the chance.
2.) Hillbilly - If you are tired of toxicity then Billy's perks are for you! While Tinkerer is a bit of a hit or miss perk, Lightborn and Enduring can let you consume pallets and flashlights like a machine. If you really want to eat flashlights you can pair Overwhelming Presence from your doc with Lightborn to just devour flashlight durability. If you plan on maining doc in the long run then I strongly recommend that you get Enduring while you learn the shock therapy timing for pallets.
3.) Trapper - The Trapper's perks work really well on the Doctor, it's scary how good they are. Brutal Strength is a great asset for any killer and from my personal experience, it is an excellent part of a Doc build if you don't want Enduring (people usually drop pallets early for me to counter my shocks). Unnerving presence also works wonders with the Doctor due to his ability to make skillchecks warp and shake. Finally, Agitation is always useful on killers and when you use Calm addon's with Unnerving or Overwhelming Presence it works even better.
All in all, just keep your chin up and don't let the mean nonsense folks spew at you do anything to your psyche. Dead by Daylight is a game that usually makes it impossible for everyone to be happy. If the survivors all escape, then the killer isn't happy (usually). If the killer kills everyone then the survivors whine (usually). Just do your thing and have fun!

Seeing all of the madness with Bond over the past year has made me glad that Aftercare is a perk. I'm working on grinding for it so that I can grab it instead of Bond. I swapped Open Handed for Breakdown after realizing how good it is as well. Say what you want about Jeff, but the fat (explicative describing an individual born outside of wedlock) has some good perks.

Yeah but aftercare resets after being hooked, with bond i got that aura reading all the time. Not with unlimited range but more than enough.For the longest time I just had awful luck ranking up as a survivor so I was trapped almost constantly at ranks 15-13 where skill and a complete lack of it merge in a twisted ballet.
Also, I just feel like seeing where folks are all over the map holds more value than Bond's consistent range. When I combine the perk with my Self Care I can essentially get the auras of two of my allies across the map as long as I deny the rescuer the heal. (I'd 99% myself and use the auras from the hook to pick my second target. I can also take a hit, escape, 99% heal, then let a friend tap me Auras as well.)
Bond, Open-Handed, Kindred, and Leader (or Self-Care) was a good set for a while. But I feel like Aftercare, Breakdown, Kindred, and Self-Care will just make me happier.

I do similar for the survivors too, although I only play the female characters plus Jeff and Nea.
I actually cycle around the different survivors and killers periodically. That being said, most of the time I'm playing Jake, Doctor, or Huntress. I only set my avatar to Quentin because out of the whole cast he's the one that resembles me the closest. I'll probably swap from maining Jake to maining Quentin someday, I'll wait until I finish getting all of the perks maxed out on Jake though.

This is why Legion is both trash and treasure. You can tunnel the best survivor player and even with less skill than them you can always get them killed. However, when your average person tried to play Legion like a "normal killer" they usually come up short in terms of kills from what I've seen.

I would probably add a Valentine's day event that would mechanically be the same as the BBQ event and add box of chocolate generators and rose hooks.
Make the killer cosmetic be a shirtless Evan torso and the survivor cosmetic be something for Dwight.
That, or I would just make a dark ages themed event with secondary objectives and lots of outfits.
Heck, you could probably do a crossover with Darkest Dungeon given how dark both of your games are. -
