When someone creates a new account for this forum, there should be a note saying "If you want to comment on camping and suggest that the hook timer should stop when the killer is close: Please note that several threads like that already exist."
-
@Entità We can have the discussion here, if there even is the need for further discussion. It simply isn't a good idea, several people have explained why.
-
While the hatch closing mechanic is a complex topic, changing the amount of bloodpoints is simple. So yes, absolutely, reward a hatch escape with the same bp as an escape through the exit gate. That's a quick and easy solution to some problematic situations.
-
@Telli_Fury Killing yourself on the first hook and yolo safes are just bad play, not bannable behaviour. So I just don't play with people who I know are going to play like that.
-
@Speshul_Kitten The gates aren't open, there are still gens to be done. If you don't have tracking perks, you are not going to find survivors who are hiding randomly on the map, especially if the killer has a terror radius.
-
Please don't dc. If it gets too boring, we can keep you company. :)
-
@Nea_Death_Experience "SWF is hard mode"? You can't be serious, there is nothing more easy in this game. If you escape more often as solo surv, that does only mean that your SWF teammates need more practice and that your random teammates are more experienced. It doesn't mean that SWF is hard.
-
I disagree. I play a lot of solo surv and I don't want to play with teammates who I know are going to dc early or killing themselves on the first hook or farm their mates.
The same applies to the killer's perspective. Survivors who are dc'ing also ruin the match for a lot of killers.
-
Original Meg head + Red-Trim Leather Hoodie + random dark pants. Doesn't work as good as Claudette, of course.
-
It's the same for me. There are a lot of small changes that combined can make Freddy stronger like no waking up by Adrenaline, the dream transition phase interrupting survivors' actions etc.
-
You usually don't heal against legion. (Depends on the killer's playstyle. In most cases, it makes more sense for the survivors to stay injured and just push gens.)
-
@TreemanXD In my games on PS4, I see survs dc'ing on a regular basis. But I agree on the mori part. Most survs probably dc because they (feel that they) are getting tunneled.
Aaaah, dc's are so annoying. The devs should be stricter when it comes to banning players for dc'ing too often.
-
I like the current version of BW better since you can decide when the timer starts.
-
You need to be an invisible Claudette. Some time ago, I saw a streamer who had killed the other 3 survs and no gen had been done. Claudette managed to do 2 gens and escape through the hatch. The killer patrolled the gens but he just couldn't find her. I've only seen something like this once but it's possible.
-
@Entità No prob. :)
-
A "Reject" option would be heavily abused.
With the upcoming new DS you'll have something that helps you after you got farmed.
-
@Entità Wether the gate is open doesn't really make a difference in this case. If the killer uses the downed survivor as bait, the killer can't stand right next to the surv and therefore always risks that they get away with Unbreakable.
The point is: Knowing wether the exit gate is open or not helps the killer a bit, but it helps solo survs immensely.
-
@Entità It's a super valuable information for solo survs. For killers, not so much.
For your example: Some killers would slug and wait if the other surv comes for a rescue. Other killers prefer to hook and hope to find the other person with BBQ. It's not a super important information in that scenario whether the gate is open or closed.
-
That's the big hatch issue and topic of many, many threads here. It's the same on high ranks.
The hatch mechanic needs a rework but obviously a good enough idea hasn't been found yet.
-
That's a buff for solo survivors.
Keep in mind that when you want to buff solo survs, you would also have to buff killers.

Cause the Devs want survivors to go for the big pay out of 5K escape through the gate.. Rather then lowering it, and make it so survivors can score more during the match instead.If I haven't maxed out the WGLF tokens, it often makes sense for me to go for the last risky unhook and trade my life for that of the guy that I unhook. More bloodpoints that way.
-
Spirit.
Then, start saving Shards for Clown.
-
- NOED only works on injured survivors

Gentapping is slower than repairing normally and missing the skill checks.

@NoShinyPony If you're playing solo you don't know if the other people even did any totems and if it's any killer that can rush and they have BBQ and chili you won't have enough time to do ######### besides gens and unhooking people.
1 person on the hook
1 person unhooking
1 person doing a gen or possibly running to the hook
and the other one doing a totem or dying trying because of BBQ.I'm playing mostly solo. If you care about NOED, bring Small Game and do the job yourself.
Again, if the survivors play well, there is enough time to do gens and totems. If the survivors get downed after 20 seconds of chase, then there's not enough time, but that's the survivors' fault.
I know that you get a lot of bad games when you play solo. If teammates make severe mistakes, you sometimes can't compensate. But that's totally okay: If the survs don't play well, they deserve to lose the match.
If playing with random teammates frustrates you too much, switch to SWF.

I think it will become a solo player must have. How many times have we seen people ask for a way to block someone from doing an unsafe unhook or to fix tunneling? Rename the game to Slugged until Daylight.It will be interesting to see how many survivors are going to run the new DS and how often killers will slug to prevent a potential DS. There are different opinions in the community right now and I really want to see which side will be right.
-
@TangledNoodles said:
And before killer mains start screaming about doing all the totems, relax that doesn't always work.As a survivor main, am I allowed to say it? Doing all the totems is not a problem as long as the survivors play well. You have enough time to do all the gens AND totems. Time pressure is on the killer, not on you.
-
I like the plague theory.
-
Finally someone is asking the really important questions!

-
At the moment, Freddy is the weakest killer. That doesn't mean that you can't get a 4k without using perks and add-ons on rank 1. You can do that with every killer as long as the survivors play bad enough.
And that's the point: You only win with Freddy if your opponents made severe mistakes.
-
If the killer camps, do gens. Easy 3 escape if the hooked survivor managed to not get hooked within the first 90 seconds of the game.
@Saint_Ukraine said:
How about this: If the hooked survivor is in the terror radius of the killer for x amount of time, the entity progression slows down. I mean, I think it's only fair, especially since Monstrous Shrine is a perk.This could be easily abused by survivors.
-
If you say for yourself that you need something that gives you a 2nd chance, you could bring an instaheal and use it mid-chase.
-

I added a second version of the perk: maybe you prefer it to the first.What's the difference to the actual current version of PGTW?

Work hard to release the PTB ASAP plzAaah, a fellow TWICE fan!
What a nice surprise!
And yes, devs, you can do it!
-
Today, I had a lot of games against new players. I hope the devs fix this quickly. I'm afraid new players could get frustrated easily and quit DbD after only a couple of games.
Instead of matching red ranks with brown ranks, it would be better to match reds with purples, purples with greens, greens with yellows and so on...

@Entità said:
While the killer "tunnels" the same gen, pretending to go away to provoke the survivor's intervention three times, other people do two gens.Not with a 3- or 4-gen-strategy.

No, wait, you cannot kick a damaged generator. O.o@TheMadDoctor said:
Logic is weiiiird.I did not say "the killer kicks a damaged gen". Guys, it's not that hard:
1st kick: minus 25%
survivor taps the gen to stop the regress -> killer comes back
2nd kick: another minus 25%
survivor taps the gen to stop the regress -> killer comes back
3rd kick: another minus 25%The alternative would be for the survivor to not touch the gen. But hey, that isn't an alternative because the gen would continue to regress.
-
The current version of Boil Over is pretty much useless but I don't think that a perk should allow you to wiggle faster. Also obscuring hook auras for 42 meters? Way too strong. It would probably be best to give Boil Over a complete rework. With how it works now, this perk can only be useless or too strong.
Dance With Me and Windows of Opportunity are fine. Your changes would make these perks too powerful.

You're wrong, mori is way stronger than a insta-heal. Moris will remove a survivor from the game while an insta-heal buys the survivor more time basically.Nope, you're wrong.
What a lot of people forget: Insta-heals delay the moment when a survivor could get mori'd in the first place. Take a good team with some insta-heals and the match is over before you get to see a mori.@Nickenzie said:
Now, OP add-ons? I'll list a few builds for you.
-Omega Blink Nurse
-5 Blink Nurse
-Any type of slugging build (even through slugging doesn't bother me)
-Spirit's prayer beads necklace (free grabs)
-Billy's insta-saw
-Pig's deadly RBT combo (depends on RNG)
-Myers Mori add-ons (depends if your teammates feed too much)A very good Nurse player won't use 5 Blinks anyway. Speed + range makes more sense and these are the add-ons which are super strong on Nurse and yeah, kind of OP. But a very good Nurse is OP anyway, you can only counter her with stealth.
I agree on Prayer Beads.
Slugging, Pig's RBTs, Myers' Tombstone add-ons? These are in no way OP. Sorry, but if the survivors lose, then because they played bad.

@Brady said:
The problem is being hooked, proxy camped, then immediately taken out by the Mori 1 minute into the match.I like being mori'd tho :P
With a good team and 2 insta-heals, you won't get to the point of seeing a mori. Match will be already over.
-
I like this idea.

@Coriander said:
Don't Killers get more BP for games?Isn't that a motivation to play killer? I mean, we don't have enough killers at the moment. If survivors and killers would get the same amount of BP, there would be even less people playing killer.
-
Why do killers dodge items/add-ons? Because they are heavily unbalanced.
Playing survivor is easy, items aren't needed. If you want to increase your chances in not getting dodged, don't bring items.I also suggest that you play killer for a while on high rank against 4 SWF groups with keys, insta-heals etc.
It will change your view on a lot of things. -

Boil over
Yup. There's a super slight chance of this perk being useful on Lery's, otherwise pretty much useless.
-
@Nickenzie said:
Couldn't the same be said for Moris and OP killer add-ons?Insta-heals are stronger than moris. And which killer add-ons do you consider OP?
Btw, I'm a survivor main. I know my unbalanced stuff pretty well and I know when my killer had a chance and when not.

Crows are fine as they are. Survivors have enough time to get away from the killer before the crows appear.
