That's a nice idea, I like it.
-
I would not show any offerings at all. People dc in the loading screen because they see an offering they don't like and that's an issue. (Some people dc because of a secret offerings, others because of a map offering etc.)
-
Try killers that can get back to the hook fast like Billy, Nurse, Spirit, Wraith, Hag. Or you can try Doctor since he is good in finding survivors with his ability.
-
The even bigger problem are the survivors who don't wait at the exit gate but those who hide somewhere on the map.
Last month, I made a thread where I suggested a time limit after at least one exit gate is open. If you are interested:
-
You could still try Billy or Clown. (Yes, Clown is pretty decent if bottles are used the right way.)
And hey, don't say anything against Nurse on console. There's a handful of players who are great with her. 😉
-
Answer: You can either shake your head or laugh about it.
Some survivors act like they haven't played a single match as killer in their life.
-
I don't dc against Legion but I have to say that he is super unfun to play against. I prefer to face a Nurse a 100 hundred times.
The devs really need to rework Legion. If so many people dc against a certain killer that's a clear sign that the design has big flaws.
-
If lobby dodging would be punished, there would be even less people playing killer, resulting in even longer queue times for survivors.
Why not balance the game so that killers don't see the need to dodge lobbies? Seems like the logical thing to me.
-
Some people in this community behave really bad. Either you can laugh about these messages and report them or you deactivate messages.
-
Both the ranking and the matchmaking system aren't working well at the moment. But that doesn't mean that ranks should be abolished. It simply means that they should be replaced with better working systems.

This I don't think the people that say it's ok have fully thought through the ramifications fully. If a killer 4k's they can still only safety pip right now on the ptb.
@powerbats Exactly. I get that ranking up needs to get harder since at the moment, we have a lot of players on the high ranks who don't belong there. But the new pipping system won't help.
I still think pipping should be bloodpoint-related again. And for that to properly work, the 8k cap per category needs to be removed (while keeping the 32k overall cap).
-
Yes, just rise the cap from 1kk to like 2 kk. I'd be happy if I could go directly from lvl 1 to 50. There are so many perks now and at lvl 35 you often only have perks you don't need.
-
@fluffybunny I don't know honestly.
And get well soon!
-
@CeeJaylx If you are the last survivor, you can take the hatch. If you get found, there's still the chance to find the hatch mid-chase. Not having a DS in that situation doesn't mean that you are helpless.
-
@Gorgonia It was the same with the old DS and nobody did consider that perk "crap".
-
@ATOMIC_ACE_PUGG Yes, but it's not for unlimited use. The first name change is free and further changes will cost like $5. So it's more a feature for people who regret their choice of name and not something that is supposed to be used on a regular basis.
-
@The_Crusader Yes, the killer's skill and playstyle decide whether you even have the chance to pip as surv. It's not a good design.
I'd prefer to let ranking be bloodpoint-related again. For that, also remove the 8k cap on bp categories (while keeping the overall limit of 32k).
-
@RoMainPuppy If tier 1+2 on perks are bad, it's totally fine if they get adjusted. There are so many perks now, sometimes it takes ages to get tier 3 of a certain perk that you want.
-
@ATOMIC_ACE_PUGG The name change function for PSN was announced for the beginning of 2019.
-
Because it's worthless if it's not 40 meters. Most survivors assume anyway that the killers have BBQ on tier 3 and play accordingly. I mean, there are many conters to BBQ if you don't want to show your aura.
-
@Wolf74 What's the difference to the old DS? Sure, you knew that one guy had it and could play accordingly, but you always had the problem with the wiggle DS.
-
It should be a bug. If I remember correctly, the devs said that Enduring should work on the new DS. That's why they weren't sure whether the stun time should be 3 or 4 seconds and the time could be adjusted in the future.

Well this wouldn't affect you at all. If you don't want to use the streamer mode you wouldn't have to.
@PolarBear If a survivor with bad behaviour (farming etc.) decides to use "streamer mode" in order to hide their name, I couldn't dodge them. So it would affect everyone.
@Pirscher If people want to snipe, they have to watch the stream anyway. It doesn't make a difference if you have to look 1 second longer at the lobby because you can only see skins and not names.
Concerning the ranks: So far, ranking up has been super easy. People who play like I mentioned are able to stay on rank 2 constantly if they also play some normal games. Now, with the PTB, ranking up has been made harder. But besides that, why should people in midranks not be able to dodge these kind of players?
-
@fluffybunny Yes, it was sometimes an issue, but not always. I hope this can be fixed. Maybe meanwhile a mod could put a note on top of the forum that people should use "@" when they talk to others?
-
Hey, it's 3% on tier 3. That's basically a free self-unhook. 😛
-
@Pirscher Yup, I'm good at memorizing. And I'm also not talking about people who kill themselves once. But there are players who ruin matches on a regular basis and I don't see a reason why I should play with them anymore.
Concerning stream snipers: These people watch the streams. They see the survivors (skins) who are in the streamer's lobby. They don't need to see names when they see how the skins look like to know that they are in the "correct" lobby.

When one disconnects so their friend can get the hatch, then they spam EZ EZ post game.
That's when you know you got to them :)
@The_Crusader Yeah, these ez 1 escapes. 😃 Only to be surpassed by the people who write that they outplayed you when even nobody was able to escape.
I can't wait for the next ban wave. The devs really should do these more often.
-
No. We had a similar suggestion a couple days ago here in the forum (the op wanted to hide all names in general).
I want to be able to dodge lobbies if I see certain people. If I know from past experiences that certain players dc, kill themselves on the first hook or farm their teammates, I don't want to play with them because they would ruin the match.
Besides, hiding the username would not help streamers to reduce sniping.
-
No. Prestige clothes also don't mean that the player is skilled since you can get these pretty quickly.
-
@ Edys Pretty much, yes. But it also depends on gen spawn. For example, think of the Azarov map: It would be stupid of survivors if they repair all the gens on one side of the map first.
Off-topic: Apparently, we have to use the "@" function. If you quote somebody, they don't get a notification anymore. 😩
-
@artist Range/extra blink add-ons don't help a player when they can't blink in the first place. Yes, some add-ons/combinations are too powerful, but that doesn't mean that the player simply has to select Nurse as killer to win a match.
-
After reading your post, of course I assume you aren't an experienced Nurse player.
And hey, it's not a bad thing and I don't mean it in a bad way that you are lacking experience. It's a genuine advice when I suggest to get more experience in order to get a better feeling for reasonable changes.
-
Your suggestion would make Nurse Freddy-tier. I'd suggest that you learn to play her so that you can get a better feeling for which changes could be reasonable.
I'd leave Nurse as she is, just some of her add-ons might need some adjustments.
-
@ Edys
For a real genrush, the survs start to work on 4 different gens. Killer finds and chases one surv, the others keep working on their gens. That way, 3 gens are done when the first surv gets hooked. If the map allows it and the surv is good, make it even 4 or 5 gens. It's not efficient to start working on one gen with several people.
-
I like that the temple isn't the entire map but only a building on the map. As the others, I don't think the Red Forest is fitting for a Babylonian temple but I assume the devs simply didn't have enough time to create a new realm. Releasing a new DLC every three months makes for a very tight schedule.
-
I realized that with Head On you can sneak into the basement and jump out the first locker at the stairs in the basement, if the stun radius is big enough it will be virtually impossible to get a survivor down there without the Killer getting stunned.
Yeah, it should be possible to pull off a save that way. Pallet saves are for beginners, the real pros do locker saves! Imagine what a good SWF can do...
-
@TreemanXD Beware of Legion mains spreading the myth that survivors should heal against them! 😀
-
Freddy is fun as long as you don't play against good survivors. I like him but his weaknesses are pretty annoying.
-
A, but also curious about B
-
@TreemanXD Thanks for giving me inspiration. 😉
-
Well, if not enough people are playing killer and this results in long waiting times for survivors, the solution is to make playing killer more appealing to the players.
So survivors should either support killer buffs or accept the queue times. I'd like to see killer buffs.
-
@Wolf74 Nah, we're just the very skilled elite. :P
-
@Gamzello It's the same with Object of Obsession. Some killer don't want to chase the OoO. You'd be surprised how many matches you can survive when you run both No Mither and OoO. :)
Concerning the OP: Yes, I'd also like to see bonus bloodpoints.
-
I'd like to see more bloodpoints for daily rituals. 25k/30k doesn't make me play a killer I wouldn't haved played anyway.
-
@Entità This is not a "killers vs. survivors" thing. It's a "normal players don't want to deal with people who are ruining the match" thing. A normal, skilled survivor doesn't have problems finding matches.
-
@Entità I think @Wolf74 worded it well. I also explained why I want to have the choice to dodge certain random teammates. If survivors behave so bad that nobody wants to play with them, it's their own fault.
At the moment, there is no separation between Ranked and Casual mode in DbD. If there was a real Ranked mode, then that would be something different, but since it doesn't exist we don't have to discuss it at this point.
-
@Black_Fence You wrote that you "refused to go down to where he was camping the 3 gens" which means you didn't try to do gens. So basically if none of you guys did try to do gens, you were the ones holding the game hostage. You surely can't report the killer.
-
@Entità Why are you asking? As I stated, people explained why. It's here in the thread?!
-
Beautiful. :)
-
@babygirl91580 You don't need Kindred. Just wave your arms when you are getting camped on the hook. That's international survivor sign language for "killer camps, don't come for me".
