Except if you’re on console. Nurse on PS4 is not commonly played bc she’s so easily juked/ran around, yet so hard to maneuver. Mad respect to any console player that tries honestly.
@kokonut Nurse is a lot harder on console, yes. But there are still players who are awesome with her. So as soon as the survivors realize the Nurse is good, she's treated with respect. Or dc's.

I don't feel it would be fitting for the DbD realm, sorry.
-
Could you explain a bit more why you don't like playing with a streamer? I don't really understand the problem so far. I'd say the percentage of toxic players is higher with those who don't stream.
Also, as you said most streamers don't have a lot of viewers. What's the difference between 4 people seeing how you play and 14 people?
-
@Orion You're welcome. ☺️
-
@Orion I'm not the good Huntress myself but his sparring partner. Yes, it's possible with the right amount of space. You don't have enough space everywhere, that's why I am suggesting KYF. You need to take your time to see what's possible and what not. You can't do that in a real match.
Off-topic: Don't forget the @, quoting doesn't let me know you replied 😉

Not mine. Survivors on that realm just crouch behind rubble. Their hitboxes are completely out of reach if they do that.
@Orion You can't stand directly next to the obstacle. Leave a bit space. Then, you can do a curved throw. Get a sparring partner for KYF to see what you can do. ☺️
-
@BACKSTABBER 5% instant regression feels okay to me. Survivors need to work 4 seconds on the gen to compensate that.
-
@Orion And I always thought Azarov's Key is the Huntress player's favourite map offering.
-
@Kaelum Thank you for the detailed instruction! ☺️
-
Legion doesn't need a counter, they need a complete rework. It's not that you can't win against them, it's just so dull playing against them.
-
@Deltin If they indeed verbally abused you, you could report them. (Depends on the severity of the insult, of course.)
-
@BACKSTABBER It's a situational thing whether you should kick the gen or just leave it. A lot of killers prioritize the chase and it's more efficient for them to not kick.
-
Taking the game hostage is a bannable offense. Record the match and report the killer.
If you are talking about the killer waiting 15 seconds so that Borrowed Time doesn't activate, that's not bannable. Just deal with it.
There's no need to widen the stairs. The basement is not supposed to be a safe place.
-
It's true that you die a lot more often as solo surv than as SWF surv. But that's not because solo is hard but because your teammates play bad. I play a lot of solo surv and I see my random teammates making severe mistakes all the time (everyone selfcaring against Legion, yeah etc.).
But there are also matches when I have very good random teammates and then usually it's an easy win.
The point is: You have to balance a game around the good players, always. You can't balance for bad players. Who plays bad deserves to lose, easy as that.
If playing solo frustrates you too much, switch to SWF.
-
It's the same for me, I don't like the swamp maps and I've got the feeling I get them way too often.
-
@Aven_Fallen and @Dwight_Fairfield
For me, it doesn't feel like I get Coldwind, Autohaven and MacMillan all the time when no offering is brought into the game. But if it is the case, the devs could simply change the algorithm a bit.
With SWF groups it feels like it's Coldwind Farm or Haddonfield 80% of the time anyway. That's how it is when only one of 4 players has to bring the offering.
It would be more fair if nobody could set the ground with map offerings. The only problem I see with this is Mirror Michaels.
Maybe as an alternative, the chance of map offerings spawning in the bloodwebs could be reduced greatly.
-
@Killergürkchen Also, off-topic: You have to @ people in your comments, otherwise they won't get the notification that you replied to them.
-
@Killergürkchen Concerning the traps: Ok, I misunderstood what you meant.
Concerning the hook timer: You write that it's "your idea" and at the same time you know that this idea isn't anything new. That doesn't make sense. Also, as I wrote, this mechanic has already been tested. And it has been abused. So it's over. After it failed, it won't be implemented again.
-
When I talk about whether a killer is balanced or not, I'm talking about whether he/she can get the job done without relying on the survivors making huge mistakes. And the job is killing survivors.
So for me, it's about the killer's potential to win against good survivors. Ideally, one killer should be as powerful as a team of 4 survivors.
-
I did not read everything, I just skimmed through your post since it's pretty long.
First, rank doesn't mean a lot. An inexperienced player can get to rank 1 in their 1st season. Also you claim to "know what you are talking about". If you want to make such bold statements, that's your decision.
The suggestion with the reduced hook timer is made by new players all the time here in the forum. What new players don't know: This mechanic has been already tested and been abused by survivors.
And hey, Trapper has 6 traps, not 5.
-
Without going into the details of the calculation, yes, the general idea should be something like that. The highest rank should have more weight than the other teammates with lower ranks.
-
@Wolf74 You can't really compare it. Distortion doesn't give you permanent immunity to aura reading for the entire game. But a token system could work for the killer as well.
-
@Nickenzie Aaaah, don't be sad! It's just not a good item, not the end of the world! <3

You have the perks to alleviate the consequences such as Ruin, Pop Goes The Weasle, Sloppy Butcher, Franklin's, Thanatopobia, Huntress' Lullaby, and even certain killers have powers that are designed to slow the game down.
Here's a build that I use on my Pig:
BBQ, it makes survivors waste time going into lockers or else they can't finish the generator because they will be interrupted by the killer.
Hex Ruin (or Courrpted Intervention), this allows for some early mistakes and if you can get some hook momentum, survivors will likely not have enough time to search for the Ruin totem.
Make Your Choice, it allows me to potentially get more momentum by downing healthy survivors. If the exposed survivor decides to hide, that's 60 seconds of them doing nothing.
4th perk can be anything that you want, preferably a perk that boosts your lethality during a chase such as Play With Your Food or Enduring.
@Nickenzie If you really believe that, play Freddy or Leatherface with PGTW, Franklin's, Thana and Huntress' Lullaby against good groups. It will change your view.
-
@Nickenzie That won't happen with SWF. I am just surprised that you can't see what an unfair and unbalanced item it would be.
However, let's end this discussion since it's just about an hypothetical item that won't ever be in the game anyway.
-
@thekatedenson In all seriousness, you should get to highranks and play Freddy against strong groups for a while. It will change your view on things.

Not really, it's like a redo button but it doesn't give anyone an advantage besides being able to undo your mistake just to try again. Furthermore, there is a short delay before the item is activated in which during this time, the killer can interrupt you by attacking you and cause to try again. If you get downed, you cannot use the item so you MUST predict the future or else you'll never be able to use it.
@Nickenzie Of course it's super unfair. As you just admitted, it gives the survivors the opportunity to undo their mistakes. But against strong groups, that's the thing that keeps the killer in the game: Making use of the survivors' mistakes. Your watch would easily be the strongest item.
And haven't you thought about that other survivors would use the watch to undo their teammates' mistakes?

I feel like the Gatekeeper emblem needs a huge adjustment to punish those who can't put pressure on generators. I use NOED sometimes, I'll admit it but I'm such a good Nurse that it ends up being a waste of a perk slot because all of the generators never get close to being completed. Same thing with my Spirit, generators never get close to being completed because I know how to apply pressure. Currently, I favor the PTB Gatekeeper version as it rewards even less points to the killers who can't apply proper pressure and will keep the killers who rely on NOED in the bottom ranks.
@Nickenzie You play Nurse and Spirit, these are very good killers. You can't apply the same rules to Freddy or Leatherface.
Edit: forgot to add the @
-
@Nickenzie Wow, that would be super unfair!
-
I'd love to see XL hoodies or hoodie dresses for the girls, especially for Feng & Meg. Combined with leggings.
In general, I love colourful clothes with cute prints.
-
Why not remove map offerings completely instead?
-
Imho Billy is the only one who is balanced.
-
The ranking system is part of the problem. Solo survs should be matched with players on a similar skill level but at the moment, players often aren't on the rank they belong to.
Also in general, solo survs need more information to get closer to SWF and killers need buffs in order to compensate for that.
-
There are so many counters, but why do you want to hide your aura in the first place? Show yourself, give the killer an incentive to leave the hook.
And as long as you are not facing a Huntress, you can still hide in lockers. Almost nobody uses Iron Maiden except for Huntress players.
-
That's not a good idea, @JoannaVO explained well why. If there are still people who want to run Sprint Burst, these players can do it. I think the majority goes for Dead Hard which is totally fine.
-
I don't like indoor maps like Léry's and The Game, so it's a no from me, sorry.
-
Yeah, I like it. 😊
-
As the others explained: The problem is not that BHVR wouldn't like to bring Bill to consoles.
-
3-man-lobbies are a bug. It hasn't anything to do with not enough people playing solo surv.
In general, there are not enough people playing killer so queue times for survivors are a lot longer, for SWF more than for solo survs.
Concerning your suggestion: That isn't a fix to SWF being unbalanced. If you want to fix this problem you either have to nerf SWF or buff killers.
-
@ColgateAdvancedWhite You think only 1% of the community is rank 1?
-
@Master Ah ok. I feel like the big majority of the forum users hasn't noticed the change so I keep mentioning it.
It makes communication so much harder, I hope BHVR can fix it.
-
@Froggard Check the PTB Patch Notes:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/360/5VENNOCL67JX.png DEAD BY DAYLIGHT | 2.6.0 – CHAPTER 11 – PLAYER TEST BUILD live at 1PM EST People of The Fog, Thank you for participating in the Player Test Build! It's pretty strict, I don't think it will go live exactly like in the PTB.
-
That would be something fun for the community, sounds nice.
-
Absolutely. I always 4k with Freddy on rank 1 without perks and add-ons and without using his power.

He might be dead serious. In the beginning I believed killers were OP too, until me as a rank 18 killer suddenly had to play vs three red ranks queueing with a rank 20, that changed my perspective quite a bit 😉
@Master Might be, but I'd say chances are 95% that he's joking. Guess we'll never know, doesn't look like he's coming back.

This game needs to get more balanced but a 5th perk slot for killers isn't the solution.
On another note: Hex perks could be designed that way so that they still give the killer a small benefit after the totem gets destroyed. So it wouldn't be a wasted perk slot.
-
@Larcz Yes, not all perks are good on all killers. That's because the killers have different abilities and therefore should be played differently.
If you are looking for advice on good Spirit builds, you could open another thread with this topic. 😊 For starters, Monitor & Abuse is great on Spirit.
-
@Arccway I don't think the op is serious. A new account and "Let decisive strike be used more than once"? Nah, this user isn't serious.
-
@twistedmonkey You can't compare these things. Killers dodge lobbies because they don't want to play an unbalanced game. Survivors dc on Legion because they don't want to play an unfun game.
There's a logical fix to lobby dodging: Balance the game so there is no reason to dodge anymore.
-
@Salty_Pearl If this trophy is important to you, hurry up! The new pipping system will make it much more difficult to rank up. 😉
