Freddy is weak. That doesn't mean that you can't get a 4k. That also doesn't mean that you can't get a 4k without using perks and add-ons. It depends on how good the survivors are. As long as the survivors play bad enough, you will get the kills.
The problem with Freddy is that you can't win against good survivors. It's out of your hands.

I think when it comes to being matched with players who have a completely different rank, there are different opinions. Some people don't like it, some find it okay.
When it comes to being matched with people all over the world, things look probably different. I can't imagine that anybody plays a match with 400 ping instead of just starting a new queue.

That's why ranks 10-15 aren't worth playing in. Far too many disconnections, and when you're rank 14-15 whats the downside of losing 2 pips? There isn't one.
So all the frequent disconnecters end up in those ranks and stay there, ruining it for everyone else.
@The_Crusader It also happens a lot in the red ranks. Not all 4 survs, but 1 surv dc'ing in the beginning is enough to ruin the entire match.
I don't understand how people can dc so often without facing consequences.
-
I'd consider Wraith low mid-tier. His power helps him a bit with the chase and it helps him with moving on the map faster.
Freddy is by far the weakest killer. Freddy has to watch totems getting destroyed, gens getting finished and people getting unhooked in front of him because he has to wait for the dream transition to be over. He can't even pick up a downed survivor as long as the other survs are healing the downed person. No other killer is that helpless.
-
625 BP is not enough. Some survs dc when they get downed for the first time so you can't even get the BBQ stack which alone is worth thousands of points.
-
@Orion Probably hundreds.
-
@Orion I'd say it happened to me as a killer less than 10 times since I started playing DbD.
-
The problem is that at the moment, people can dc a lot without facing consequences. That needs to change.
-
You can always get better. And you mention that you play at low or midranks, so this game seems to still hold a challenge for you.
But probably it's a troll post anyway.

An idea:
Survivors will be paired with other Survivors who DC. They’ll be paired with Killers who have DC’d as well. If the Survivor DCs more than is acceptable, they will either be paired with nobody for 24 hours or be outright banned for 24 hours. It would take perhaps 2-3 DCs in a row for the system to start pairing that Survivor/Killer with other Survivors/Killers/Both. If you want the fun ruined for other’s, you’ll be paired with the same people who have the same mentality as you. :)
@Chaotic_Riddle I really, really like this idea. People who dc on a regular basis need to get banned, but this sounds like something nice for the less severe cases.

New killer perk: Critical Hit!
Each time you successfully hit a survivor (grabs do NOT count) you gain a token.
After getting 2 tokens your next successful attack will put the struck survivor immediately into the dying state.
@Peasant After 2 tokens already? That's too strong. But the basic idea sounds nice.
-
I try to do it from time to time. In most cases, the killer doesn't want the kill and carries me to the exit gate.
Also, I can only do it when the situation allows it: My teammates must have left (so nobody goes for a rescue attempt) and the killer must be close to me. If I would spend time on looking for the killer, they would probably think I only want to troll.
-
Grabbing has been bugged for a lot of weeks. It really needs to be fixed now.
-
Imho Billy is the only balanced killer. Against good loopers, he can't use his chainsaw but has to hit people twice. 110% would destroy him.
-
I'm really hoping for a Legion rework. And I hope my random teammates will stop selfcaring against Legion... 😯
-
Michael is far from being op. Don't let him stalk you.
If you struggle playing against him, play him yourself. Play against good SWF groups on rank 1 and learn his weak points this way.
-
No. Call me crazy, but I like playing against Nurses.
-
This perk has a cooldown of 20 seconds for balance reasons.
-
In most cases, it's just a strategy thing. If you loop the killer for 4 gens, there's no reason to leave the hook anymore and try to find another surv. At this point, the killer can only stay at the hook and hope that the other survs are going to do some un-smart moves.
-
@Orion Picking up survs, cleansing, chests - that gives some bloodpoints, but not a nice amount. Unhooks, working together on gens, chases - these are the nice bloodpoints for survs.
-
The camera inverts when you (accidentally) tap on the touchpad of the controller. Just tap on the touchpad once more, and the camera goes back to normal.
-
I like this idea. There aren't enough people playing killer on consoles, so that could help solving this problem.
@Orion That's not entirely true. Whether you can get lots of bloodpoints as surv also depends on the killer's and the other survivors' playstyle. If the killer camps or slugs, the survs are not going to get a lot of bloodpoints. If the teammates are also "hard-working", all the survs can get a good amount of bp, but nobody will get a really high amount.
Also, there is this limit of 8k bp per category which doesn't help. I'd prefer just an overall limit of 32k bp.

Ok, so I can essentially avoid this by not going too close to the hook when hooking?
Edit: spelling
@kamisen If you are the killer, you can't "avoid" getting bodyblocked. You have to hit the survivor so that he/she gets injured and leaves the blocking position.

Well if it's releasing at the same time then it'll be the 19th for the US as Japan is 1 day ahead.
@Petraaahh Depends on where you live. But sure, it could be early morning for Japan and the evening of the 19th for other people.
-
Playstation Japan says the DLC is coming on the 20th. And since it's being released for everyone at the same time...
-
I play solo surv a lot. My queue times have gotten worse. Can't say anything about SWF so far.
For my killer games: Survs do not spawn in my lobby at the same time. I didn't notice a difference.
-
Today, I played with Spies for the first time after not having used it for a couple of months, I think. I liked the "spam" since it clearly showed the direction in which the surv was moving. It was pretty useful that way.
-
Nothing against it. Share your ideas with us. ☺️
-
In order to be able to hook a surv, the killer has to stand on a certain position. If this position is blocked, the killer can't hook. It doesn't matter from which direction the surv blocks that position. Blocked is blocked.
-
According to Playstation Japan, the new Chapter will be released on the 20th. Since it's going to be released for everybody at the same time, that should also be the date for us.

Any killer dodging like that will just end up never playing the game.
@ClogWench When I played killer this evening, the survs didn't come into my lobby at the same time. I've not seen a difference so far.

@altruistic @HavelmomDaS1 Guys, come on, for real now. It's such an obvious joke.
And why I think NOED doesn't reward bad killers? Because not one single person has to die because of NOED, as long as the survivors play well. It's just a hex after all. A killer with insta-down ability can apply much more pressure than a shiny totem. Additionally, the survivors must have failed in cleansing all the totems for NOED to get activated in the first place. Seriously, if a killer gets 2 or 3 additional kills because of NOED, the survivors must have played so bad that they deservingly lose.
NOED and Adrenaline are both fine.
-
Basically, it's only stealth against good Nurses. Don't get found.
Against mediocre Nurses, try to break the LOS, for example in jungle gyms.
-
@Mc_Harty It's a joke mate. I don't think Adrenaline rewards bad survs and I don't think NOED rewards bad killers.

Could you please shorten/summarize the text?
-
Since some survivor mains complain that NOED would reward bad killers, should we start saying that Adrenaline rewards bad survivors?
-
Yes, I agree. These offerings should be removed.
-
@Orion Good to know, but I'll probably keep tagging you so that the others don't get confused who I'm talking to.

A flashlight cries "toxic" way more than any piece of clothes ever could. 😉
-
@Orion Yup & of course. I wanted to keep it short and sweet. ☺️

Yeah but then there’s nothing a survivor can do about a Mori either if they’ve been downed again after a hook.
Kinda even steven i’d say.
@DudeDelicious There's nothing a survivor can do about a mori? Survivors have to get downed twice before they can get mori'd, so it's avoidable.

If you loot chests on a regular basis, you'll find keys occasionally, without using Plunderer's. There's nothing more to it.
The real problem is the key itself. It's a free escape for survivors and the killer can't do anything against it.
-
@JAZC_CR Are you a Freddy main? Then I totally understand why you'd like to have 1 or 2 additional perk slots. For Freddy, it would be okay. For the other killers, not so much.
Edit: forgot a word
-
I'd open a new category for The Pig: Looks cute. <3
-
Woooooow! These look absolutely amazing! I'd totally buy #3 & #5!
I really hope the devs give the girls some more cute outfits! <3
P.S. Do you have more work that we can see?
-
In order to be mori-able, you have to get downed twice. There are a lot of tools that help you prevent that.
And the following sounds funny but it is the truth: Some killers are so weak by design that moris bring some balance against good surv groups.
-
Clown has the standard terror radius of 32 meters so I don't recommend Nurse's Calling. A lot of survivors are careful and always assume NC so they don't heal in terror radius. NC is a better perk for killers with a small terror radius.
