Ur too greedy to spend a perk slot with Diversion (the pebble), but I'm too lol
I wish we had more perk slotz
@BACKSTABBER Make the pebble base kit.
-
You forget a major point: If you DS'ed a killer once, they know you have that perk. Even if it was a perk for multiple use, the killer wouldn't give you the chance to use it a 2nd time.

i dont understand why in 2019 it is not possible to have a solid fps and a good looking game.
i mean DBD is really a very simple looking game. maps are not too big and there are no special effects like shooting, big explosion, jumping etc...
@escape_plan Exactly my point. Take a look at other games and how good they look and how well they perform. Everybody can see what is technically possible.
-
You are talking about teammates who don't work and just stay close the hatch, right? It's not reportable. You can use Bond to check where your mates are and what they are doing. If somebody is doing nothing, you could go to them and do the "come with me" gesture. Some survs might come with you then and repair a gen.
-
@Nickenzie "If the killer is taking a hook over a mori then you aren't making a good choice as the killer. About the no heal part, the survivor is basically broken for the remainder of the trial. Therefore, if no survivor heals then you only need one hit so, in other words, chases are 100% faster than normal. Not bad in my opinion."
If all the gens are done, a good killer goes for the hook. That's a bait that has the potential to bring you more kills. If the killer goes for the mori, meanwhile everyone else will escape.
And that a lot of people don't heal is the reality. They do it because it's more time-efficient. (And a surv who knows that the killer is using Rancor isn't going to heal since they would be one-hit anyway. ) Also, why heal when the match comes close to 5 gens being done and the killer might have a one-hit attack?
That aura thing is simply not a serious downside.

I'm still playing this game, I love it. Nevertheless, some issues bother me. I'd say the worst things for me are the huge amount of dc's and the weak performance + graphics on console.

Someone just said something similar a few minutes ago.
I've seen strange disconnects. Survivors usually d/c when hit, downed, hooked, or when they first see a killer they don't like.
These survivors are doing a gen one minute then their character just stands still for a while then the disconnect comes.
Seems it could be a connection issue.
@The_Crusader When you are in a match, you get a good feeling for whether a dc is intentional or not. Surv who just got downed? Intentional dc. Random healthy surv? Connection issue.

@DarkGGhost said:
the thing is the new system say to the killers " You want to rank up, then play bad in order to rank up"
@DarkGGhost Totally. And for survs it's like "let's hope I get matched with a bad killer and one or two bad survs".
At least, it's not such a big problem since there aren't any rewards for reaching rank 1.
-
I guess somebody just had a bad game.

Thats how its done with any game.
You cant expect the same performance like PC on a less powerful hardware, it can only be achieved via downgrades
@Master They have things like constant polling in their code when it should be event-based. That takes sooo much resource.
Take a look at other games like Overwatch or the new DMC 5. Look how amazing the graphics are and how smoothly everything runs on PS4.
It's not about the PS4 not being able to do the same as a PC. It's about that the PS4 can do A LOT when you code properly. DbD is not even a shooter or a slasher.

@Master said:
Nice, we are ready for crossplatform then
@Master No, we aren't. I have no idea why the op likes this "optimization" so much. There are other threads with people rightfully mentioning that it's way too blurry etc.
There is a lot to do. You can't do an optimization for console by simply reducing the graphics.
-
I'm on PS4 Pro and it doesn't run better for me. But it got blurry. Besides it not looking good, it also makes playing killer harder.
I don't like this "optimization" at all since it isn't one for me.
-
Just stop discussing. A simple "I didn't check for any threads out of excitement, sorry" without anything else would have been better. And now let's move on.
-
Queue times are one thing, unbalanced games against SWF another thing. Both are understandable complaints. But if you start this thread by cussing, nobody will take it serious.
-
Just take a look at the first page. There are several threads. And on the 2nd page and so on.
-
It's still a good perk. I'd say it depends on your playstyle.

@Lithuanian said:
or just maybe not camp and tunnel so you can get multiple hooks instead of the same person and then you will pip, might even 2pip
@Lithuanian You seem to be very new to the game. If the killer had camped or tunneled, the survs wouldn't have earned bp in that way.
Besides, you don't even pip when you get 4x Gold in high ranks. In the low ranks it's less strict.

@ComelyStar said:

That doesn't work. He could technically hook 1, 2 or 3 survivors and then simply walk out before the 4th one has a chance to do anything. That way the suggestion doesn't make any sense.
@ComelyStar This thread is about a "give up" function. Why would a killer use this function when there are several people on the hook? It's about ending a lost game early and not being forced to waste any more time.
Besides, just in theory, if a killer would give up, every surv who is still alive, would get the points for survival. So the hooked guys would also get their survival points. But it's just a theoretical thing.

That's why you can't use it instantly, you're going to get at least a single hook on every survivor since it takes two hits to down them. After the survivor uses the perk and heal to the healthy state, your killer has Freddy's aura reading ability. If it's your Obsession, use Rancor and DON'T down them since when the last generator is powered, you can use MoM to find the Obsession. It's a free mori if you think about it.
@Nickenzie Seeing the survivor's aura doesn't mean that you are able to use Rancor. The killer can only focus on one thing. If the killer is already busy, then he's busy.
Besides, if the surv doesn't heal, the aura effect will not activate. In lots of games survivors aren't even healing, because it's more efficient to just stay injured and rush gens.
-
@Eninya said:
This will become the new "chase me!" perk, but Rancor and Save the Best for Last will probably counter it pretty hard.
Mettle of Man would be good with Self Care to 99%. MoM absorbs a hit, and then you heal, get hit again, and then again if you have an instant heal. Even more hilarious if you also have Dead Hard and juke a hit.
@Eninya STBFL isn't a counter because MoM is an obsession perk.
-
@xmenfanatic said:
This is how I view the perk:
--------------------------------------
MARK OF THE ENTITY
Evil Has a way in guiding you to your victims after causing them pain.
After hitting a survivor 3 times with a basic attack you have marked them, and the perk activates.
Once activated, the survivor must stay in the injured status all game or their aura will be revealed to you outside of 16 meter until they are downed.
The perk will deactivate once you down them.
* This perk increase the chances of the survivor becoming your obsession.
@xmenfanatic That's a nice idea. Remove that part with the invalid hit and make it a killer perk.

So much this. Work on why the dcing is happening, not just banning those who aren't enjoying the game.
@CornChip Both needs to be done. If a certain map or killer makes people want to dc, this part of the game needs to be reworked.
But dc'ing is also against the rules and a lot of people dc for unacceptable "reasons". Therefore, dc's must be punished.
-
@Drearystate At least it seems like they are looking for more programmers. You can go to their website and see the open jobs.
-
She isn't op but somewhere in the mid tier. The next weeks will show where exactly in the mid tier she is, after people have learned to play as and against her.
-
The devs need to either buff solo survs + killers or nerf SWF.
Yes, they have to make a decision. Giving solos more information + buffing killers is probably the way to go.

But then Noed needs to be stronger for people to have a wish to cleanse totems and perk should be in base kit
@Slayer If people don't heal because it's more efficient, then they aren't afraid of NOED.
-
@TreemanXD So they would be located in a dead zone, okay.
-
People would take you more serious if you wouldn't cuss so much. Sure, the new killer isn't op. But the dc's are a real issue, for example. Also the infinite loading screens.

@NoShinyPony they wouldn’t be concealed by walls.
@TreemanXD ? A lot of gens aren't either.
-
You are mixing this up with the new DS. Read what MoM is about.
-
I'm also on PS4 Pro. Yes, it's blurry. Corn is way worse than before. On top, I don't notice that the game would run more smoothly. If the blurryness was supposed to help with performance, it didn't work.
This absolutely needs to be fixed.
-
@ComelyStar said:
This will not happen until we have at least dedicated servers. Right now the games are hosted through the killer, so he cannot just simply leave the match and leave survivors behind.
@ComelyStar You misunderstand. The survs are not supposed to walk around the map after the killer has left the match.
The killer leaves and ends the match.
-
@Peanits That's good to hear! Looking forward to it.
-
@Shad03 Enjoy it. ☺️ As I said, any horror game is spooky only for a limited amount of time.
-
Any horror game will lose its horror after you've played it for a certain amount of time.
It will happen to you as well. 👻
-
Of course the people in this forum like this game. If we didn't like it, if it wouldn't matter to us, we would never discuss it so passionately. We want this game to become better and better!
Thanks devs! <3
-
I'm also not sure if this leak is intentional. But if it was intentional, would you leak so many information?
-
Yup. Before, pipping was too easy, now it's too hard. It went from one extreme to the other. We are discussing this in some other threads already. 😉
-
@The_Crusader said:
Oh wow. Just noticed the part where he says you can take a chainsaw hit and not go down. Everyone assumed the "basic attack" part applied to that too.
So its even worse.
@The_Crusader You can tank a chainsaw hit for your teammates. 😍

In 3 months it will be too late
In my opinion, that flip perk is the real problem though
@Master Let's say the Flip perk is the 2nd real problem. It doesn't matter with solo survs but with SWF? Way too powerful.
But basically yes, while the discussion about MoM is important, let's not forget Flip Flop.

You'll also see where these four survivors are at and if you use Rancor, it's practically a free mori since you'll always see the Obsession's aura. Additionally, 4 hits is enough for one hook or 3 hooks if you are a insta-down killer, not too bad in my opinion. We shouldn't be assuming the worst just yet tbh.
@Nickenzie Rancor doesn't equal a free kill.
Also, I'm not worried about insta-down killers. Those who will get hit hard by that perk are those who are already not strong, like Trapper, Doctor, Piggy etc.

@Eveline said:

Explain how did I double pipped then.
@Eveline Aaah, don't be that exact. I also got a double pip yesterday. But it was only possible because it was an extraordinary game for which you need a combination of another decent survivor, a bad killer and 2 extremely bad survivors. Usually, matches aren't like that.
The point is, whether you can pip depends on the killer and your teammates.
-
@GraviteaUK said:

Until now with the ranking changes.
Rush gens = No altruism and not boldness, So no ranking.
Sure you will get out and "win" but if ranking up is your goal, it won't get you far.
@GraviteaUK No surv is going to pip with the new system. You don't even pip with 4x Gold.

@Bongbingbing said:
If you know the killer has Rancor you better stay away from them while your the obsession, This is why the perk shows you the killers aura.
If you're the rancor obsession as soon as that last gen pops you Hide and try to get out the exit gates asap.
Reminds me of a fun game when I ran OoO and only noticed the killer was using Rancor after the 4th gen was finished because I was seeing the aura all the time. It was a pretty intense endgame. 😃
-
@The_Crusader A part of the community complains about the current NOED, not the entire community. And the devs aren't changing it because it's pretty much okay now.
But that's not a NOED thread. Again, I'd really like to see this mechanic implemented.

Yeah but it’s the same as survivor, well close to the same about 5-6 minutes each game that’s why I switched to killer and it’s worse lol
@katerinarae Okay, that is weird. Naturally, there will always be one side which has to wait and one side which will get faster lobbies, depending on how popular which role is. But having to wait more than 5 minutes for both roles? Again, weird.

@IamFran said:
Why some people say playing stealthy is useless and assume the people who play that way is doing nothing and just hidding?
I'm a stealthy survivor and I do gens and approach to a hooked mate when it's safe to save him/her. I don't know why I'm useless for the team.
Of course there are people who hide all the trial waiting the dead of their mates and get the hatch, but they are the immense minority.
@IamFran You are mostly correct.
Unfortunately, those players who are hiding most of the game (not normal stealth players) are not that small a minority. I play a lot of solo surv and I see them all the time.
-
@The_Crusader The devs changed DS. It's still a strong perk but it's not where the old DS was. So, the community can convince the devs to make changes where they are necessary.
If we want a mechanic to change, we as a community have to show that it's important to us. The suggestion in this thread is a very good thing and I'd really, really like to see it implemented.
