Exhaustion perks tierlist.
I decided to make one because lithe got buffed and now they're all viable in high level play and pretty closely matched. I won't include adrenaline since it doesn't feel like much of an exhaustion perk to me personally or head on, because it's more of a second chance perk.
1) Balanced landing
This should be no surprise because Balanced landing is by far, one of the best perks in the game nowadays. Opening so much loops and infinites on maps like Haddonfield, Swamp or the Red forest Temple is not to be underestimated, it's undoubtedly at the top. Although even the bottom one is not far from Balanced landing.
2) Lithe
This should also be no surprise, now Lithe has been buffed slightly, it's a great Stealth perk (@Orion I'd run it :P) along with Quick and Quiet and Dance with me. But It's also strong to travel around the map and distract the killer, if there's 2 people left, you can repair a gen to 40%, vault a nearby window, repair a gen far away and leave the killer wasting time there. It's an excellent strategy, which can be the difference between a win and loss from the distance you get. Also, Lithe now that is procs in chase, can be used to gain a ton of distance. It can create a lot of space between you and the killer and severely handicaps 110% MS killers like Hag.
3) Dead hard
Now, Dead hard isn't actually a bad perk. It's still amazing and like I said, this is viable. I'd say Balanced Landing, Lithe and Dead hard are S+ tier perks, while Sprint Burst is S tier. But It's a great perk, can increase your chase time tremendously, save you from messing up, and be really funny to annoy killers with. On skilled survivors, this can be almost as threatening as Balanced landing on the Haddonfield infinite. It's an amazing perk, which has potential to turn a game around in the survivors favour and fun to use.
4) Sprint burst
Now this used the be the peak of overpowered perks and used to ruin a killers day. And it still does. A Claudette is crouching, and you swing, then BOOM they suddenly go really fast and you whiff your attack and it cheats you out of a hit. Absolutely beautiful perk which is amazing when a skilled survivor is using it. It has a major downside which sucks and keeps it below the other perks but meh. I'd personally give it a buff of starting in chase. Then Sprint Burst would be joint with Dead hard.
I love how this list has changed since 1 year ago, where it'd be in the exact opposite way.
It would have been Sprint burst in first, Dead hard second, Lithe 3rd and Balanced landing last. I love how the devs have been balancing weaker perks to make them viable and keep going <3.
Comments
1. Dead hard
2. Lithe and Balanced
99. Sprint burst
I haven't forgot head on, I just don't know where to put it. It's to early to know how practical it is.
@HavelmomDaS1 it doesn’t look that good to me rn but I might change it’s place after experimenting.
1) Sprint Burst.
Say what you want about not being able to sprintz but it's still by far the most powerful. It guarentees you a pallet/loop. You don't need anything to activate it.
When Billy comes sprinting across the map and appears next to you then lining up the instadown, are you next to a drop for balanced? Probably not. Can you make it to a vault and make it through the other side withou his enourmous chainsaw hitbox touching you? Probably not. Sprint Burst can get you to safety. That's why the most meta of tryhard P3 Claudettes take it.
2) Lithe. Now that its had its buff it's incredibly powerful. It's fairly easy to find a vault, and you get your speed burst without being crippled by having to walk around the map. On top of that the killer can't just run after you like with SB, they can't just drop after you like with BL, they often have to vault the window which itself slows them down.
3) Balanced Landing. Absolutely insane on some maps. It's not just the speed burst it's the stun reduction. Can turn normal buildings into damn near infinites. However it's held back by being map dependant. The best of the best on Haddonfield, incredibly strong on either of the Crotus Penn maps, not nearly as good on Lery's, Rotten fields, sheltered woods or suffocation pit for example.
4) Dead hard. It doesn't grant you that speed burst to get away from the killer but it's the perk that allows you to make a mistake and have a second chance in a loop. Slightly held back by being countered by instadowns or the easiest to counter with exhaustion add-ons. Also easiest to counter because you can wait for them to use it if theres no pallets nearby.
You forgot Head On. Technically an exhaustion perk.
I would put it above Sprint Burst because it can be used to make saves potentially. It's a way more niche perk, but has more power to swing a game than SB, which is like the most basic ######### exhaustion perk.
Head On is definitely not better than BL or Lithe. Might potentially be better than DH, but considering it's very strict requirements for it to be successful I don't think it would be.
@HavelmomDaS1 DH is definitely not the best exhaustion perk. It can be when killers fall for it, but against a good killer they will just wait before they swing. Yes it can help you get to a pallet or window, but the number of times you are in a position to do that are outweighed by the number of times you aren't. Balanced is by far the best because it opens up NEW loops that you can't do without it, and it has an effect even when you are exhausted. In fact those new loops can mostly still be used when exhausted, and they are probably the strongest loops in the game because they require no pallets and little use of windows, potentially making them semi-infinites. And it works on every map, and while some maps have fewer spots to use it, those maps where there are a lot of spots turn it into a God-like perk. Literally the only map where you don't want BL is Shelter Woods but even there you have the tree or basement stairs which can work.
DH though is super easy to counter, unlike every other exhaustion perk. Just wait for them to use it and you get them. Don't even need perks or your power to do that.
I would still swap Dead Hard and Sprint Burst. I just cant ignore the fact that SB makes you immune to certain stealth Killers once per chase.
At least Dead Hard is no longer the worst Exhaustion perk. Head On is.
I wanted Head On to be this really fun perk just for giggles at the very least but it really is crap and unreliable to pull of.
Im glad others see how good Lithe is.
Balanced Landing and Lithe are undoubtedly the best exhaustion perks. Dead Hard only works once against mediocre killers and Sprint Bursts slows you down too much to consider it.
Head On? We still have to see it in action for a bit more to be considered.
I love it, the devs truly have changed the exhaustion meta.
Lithe / Dead Hard
Sprint Burst
Balanced Landing
Head On
Sorry but hills and drops aren't reliable enough for BL to be that good. Some maps have 0 drops, some have 1 or 2. Sometimes you go to drop off a hill and instead you gently slide down and the perk doesn't trigger. If BL fixed those things and also stopped you from yelling in pain upon landing then I'd use it.
"Dead Hard only works once against mediocre killers"
This doesn't make sense. Does the fake out only work once? Maybe but it also gets you to pallets or windows you wouldn't if you didn't have DH. I've just barely made it to the exit gate with DH plenty of times, too.
Yeah that yelling is weird. I like the sound Claudette makes and constantly jump down hills lol.
You forgot Head On.
Dead last since it's affected by Enduring.
Good killers bait it before attacking or wait to attack even when they don't actually know you have it or not. It has become so common that most killers at level 1 don't lunge anymore but gets close enough to tap. It's very useful in those situations you described but it's also very predictable most of the time.
If you want to use Head On, use Q&Q. Its a must in chase stuns
1st Dead Hard
2nd Balanced Landing
3rd Lithe
4th Sprint Burst
