The devs mentioned they wanted to introduce a feature wherein the killer could surrender once the gates were powered, which would force all survivors to escape instantly and grant them the escape bonus.
We need this. It would save so much time! At the same time, it would take so much toxicness out of the game. That's really something the community could push for.
-
Everybody can play how they want.
That being said, if the goal is not your personal survival but to have as many survs survive as possible, then "aggressive" is more efficient.
-
Everybody wants to play the new killer now, therefore there aren't enough survivors, therefore you have to wait quite some time.
-
@George_Soros Imagine a SWF where everybody brings this perk!
-
So that unlucky surv got robbed of a hook phase?
-
@HeroLives Of course I'd like to see smarter plays. But too many people confuse stealth with doing nothing.

Except, it's unreleased, unnannounced & there's pretty big negatives to it.
Works once per trial? People talking about chaining it with dead hard which is by far the easiest perk in the game to counter.
ridiculous arguments once again.
@SenzuDuck Nah, from survivor's point of view, this perk sounds amazing. The negatives don't look big to me.
And Dead Hard isn't counterable in a lot of situations, it saves me on a regular basis. If you aren't going to use MoM because you think it's not that good, that's your thing, of course.
-
@The_Crusader I thought the game was going into a better direction. Lesser pallets, totem spawn reworks, DS rework, for example.
Maybe this perk is just an accident. If the devs would want the survs to play "toxic", that would result in less people wanting to play killer. And not enough people playing killer would be a huge problem for the game.
-
@SenzuDuck Haven't seen you in quite some time. Welcome back.
Anyway, I don't think it's crying about just anything. A missed hit from the killer can definitively save a surv. This perks sounds too powerful for my taste.
-
@Peasant If you want to take an approach from that direction, don't forget totems. ;)
-
@NathanExplosion Freddy op, please Nurse.
-
@The_Crusader Exacty, that's the other point we haven't given a lot of attention to. Currently survivors often aren't healing because it takes too much time and it's more efficient to stay injured. So no aura reading we have to talk about.
-
@Madjura said:
>DS was essentially "one free hit", didn't stop it from becoming overused and extremely powerful. Imagine all 4 running this.
No DS was much better than that because it stunned the killer and healed you one health state (dying -> injured). The Mettle Of Man extra hit is not the same as the DS "healing" because the killer doesn't waste time picking you up, you can't be flashlight saved or go down under a pallet or be healed with an instaheal (or rather you can be but then your aura is permanently revealed). DS also had no massive downside
>You chase a survivor through 3 pallets, finally get a hit in and it doesn't count, now you gotta go through 3 more pallets to get them down. Throw in dead hard too and that's another few pallets free. Imagine if you get a hit just before they get to the torment creek, wretched shop, or abbatoir window loop. Yoi've essentially just lost that survivor unless you commit to chasing them around a game ending loop.
Except they can't heal or they will have their aura revealed. If they don't heal to avoid the aura reveal then it's as if they are playing the rest of the game with the Exposed status effect on them
@Madjura Don't make aura reading that big of a thing. It's not. Otherwise, nobody would play OoO and Freddy would be the strongest killer.

OoO reveals you only when you want it and it shows the killer to you so you know when and from where the killer is coming. You can't compare the two perks
@Madjura That why I wrote that I constantly looked at the killer, The killer knew the entire time where I was and what I was doing. But they decided not to chase me because a killer can only do one thing at a time.
You can absolutely compare it to Freddy. He sees the survivors, they don't see him. Is he still the weakest killer by far? Yes, he is.
-
You get bloodpoints for working (gens, helping teammates) and keeping the killer busy.
If you are stealthy, you might increase your personal chances in survival. And survival also gives bp.
I don't think it would be good to award stealth with more bp since it would encourage solo survs to play in a certain way which is pretty unfun for the other survs.
-
@The_Crusader Exactly. Combine MoM with Dead Hard, DS and BT.
Besides Nurse, it also hits the Killers who already are not so strong pretty hard, like Trapper, Doc, Piggy etc.
-
@Madjura Permanent aura reveal is not that immense problem that you think it is. I played enough games with OoO while constantly looking at the killer.
-
@Lagoni I could be wrong but I think Orion refers to situations where the hook would be too far away.
-
@thesuicidefox Absolutely. Pipping was too easy before but some adjustments would have been enough. Instead, it went from one extreme to the other extreme.
At least, there aren't any rewards for reaching rank 1 so people don't have to feel like they are missing out on something.
-
@Lagoni Letting a survivor bleed out is not taking the game hostage since the bleeding timer is limited and the survivor is going to die at the end.
Taking the game hostage is - for example - when you trap a survivor so they can't do anything, but you also don't hit them. When you create a situation that doesn't end, that's taking the game hostage.
-
@benzos It will get interesting after the next rank reset. Those who play a lot already are on rank 1 and only need safety pips at the moment.
-
Piggy is not even a good slugging killer.
Anyway, yes, slugging is boring for survs. Bring No Mither or Unbreakable. Both perks are fine. You don't need a built-in Unbreakable.
-
@Madjura I think the wording is more tricky in this case. Of course I can be wrong. Maybe let's agree on that it is not absolutely clear. After we've seen it in game, we'll know for sure.
But even if your aura is permanently revealed, it still sounds like a super strong perk, especially for the end game and for survivors who don't mind getting chased.
-
@pungent_stench Yeah, all these bad players who only get 4 x Gold and therefore shouldn't pip. Check how the new pipping system works first, before you try to insult other people.
-
It would make sense. The new killer has been released, everyone wants to play The Plague. Therefore, you don't have as many survivors as usual which results in longer waiting times for killers.
-
I'd prefer to not show any offerings of other players at all during the loading screen. No information = no reason to dc
-
Are you trying to play killer? I mean, long waiting times for killers would make sense for the next two days when everyone wants to play the new killer and there aren't as many survivors as usual.

Most likely true but i haven't played enough survivor to tell yet. I just can tell that this system is completely broken for many Killers.
@ChesterTheMolester Believe me, it also doesn't work for survivors.
You don't even have to try it, just by reading it you can see how it can't work for survs and a lot of killers.
-
@IamFran said:
As survivor I usually get a black pip because I play stealthy insteand being a looper, so almost no chase points for me = black pip.
This is bad, yes.
@IamFran You don't even pip when you have 4 x Gold. So loopers don't pip, either. The matches have to be very weird and unusual so that you could pip as surv.
-
I also don't like that you get matched with people all over the world. Getting matched with different ranks is one thing, but ignoring the locations of the players is really problematic.
-
@Dreamnomad MoM reads very powerful. Also keep it mind that it will be combined with other already existing perks. And Flip Flop in the hands of coordinated SWFs has also immense potential.
-
You also can't pip as a surv. 4 x Gold is still a safety. How is a surv supposed to loop the killer for 3 gens, repair 3 gens and unhook 3 survs all in one single match?
-
@EqMonkVeeshan I feel like 2 x Gold and 2 x Silver would be okay to pip.
Anyway, I think the pipping system will get adjusted. The devs are probably going to collect some data and see how few people are pipping. It's probably only a matter of few weeks.
-
@thesuicidefox The wording is "The next time you heal back to full health, your aura will be revealed..."
That sounds like a precise point of time to me. If it wasn't the case, they would have worded it like "After you are healed back to full health, your aura will be permanently revealed..."
-
The old pipping system was too easy, the new one is too hard. It's more extreme for survs than for killers. As you described it correctly, survivors split the work. You can't loop the killer for 3 gens, repair 3 gens and unhook 3 survivors in one single match. That's unrealistic. If you get 4 x Gold, you don't pip. That's not how it should be.
-
As surv it's a different thing. You can get 4 x Gold and don't pip. That's not realistic as a survivor since the work is split between several people.
-
BHVR themselves leaked it accidentally. No data miners.
-
@feechima said:
But you know the devs don't do anything to help killers...except
Killers complain about bodyblocking= mad grit
killers complain about looping= bamboozle, Legion, nerf windows, reduce pallets
killers complain about gen rush= corrupt intervention
killers complain about pallets= spirit fury
@feechima These are legitimate complaints. And it's not as if the killer had 8 or 9 perk slots available.
-
@Dreamnomad said:
Can someone please interpret the OP for me? I honestly don't know what he/she is talking about. How did survivors get more second chances again?
@Dreamnomad The upcoming survivor perks for the next DLC have been leaked accidentally by BHVR. And it's looking like these perks are even stronger than Dead Hard and the old DS. So we as a community have probably 3 months to convince BHVR that those perks can't make it into the game.
Edit: I reworded it a bit

Because there have been a lot of contains about queue time currently
@Master Matching all kinds of different ranks with each other is one thing, but ignoring the location of the players is another. :(
-
There aren't enough people playing killer. More bp for killers is one way to motivate people to play this role.
I totally get that you'd like to receive more bp as a survivor (it's the same for me), but I'm afraid that in the end it would lead to even longer queue times because some killers would switch to surv.
-
@harry14141414 I think something like that should be a perk, not an offering.
-
@Nicholas Probably.
-
Some of her add-ons need adjustments, they are too powerful. Nurse herself is fine.
-
Let's not make this a survivor vs. killer thing. High-ping lobbies are unfun for everyone.
I don't understand why the devs are matching people from all over the world with each other. When you have to wait "only" 3 minutes to get into a lobby, but then you have to dodge the lobby several times in a row because the ping is unplayable, nothing has been gained.
-
The new DLC will probably be released in a couple of hours. Let's wait a bit and see how it affects the player count. Afterwards, we can have a better discussion.
-
@TreemanXD What do you mean by "out in the open"? I'd say generators are also "out in the open". What would be the difference?
-
@TreemanXD That would basically be a gen with the difference that survs can't use toolboxes.
-
Adrenaline is fine. People complain about perks, killer abilities etc. a lot, but that doesn't necessarily mean that anything is indeed unbalanced and needs to be changed.
-
If survivors would get a secondary objective, some things might have to be adjusted. But in order to say what exactly needs to be adjusted in which way, we have to know the secondary objective in detail first.
Let's not do the 2nd step before we've done the 1st.
