What is the regular % of gen recession after damaging it?

Not with pop goest weasel, thanks

The Killer can damage an unfinished Generator, if it has some progress on it. Doing this will regress the current progression by a maximum of 100 % over a duration of 320 seconds or at a rate of 0.25 Charges per second. If a Survivor resumes work, the regression will stop. A regressing Generator will constantly emit sparks.

sure, but this does not reply to the answer of %?

  • I believe it goes down by 1% for one second overtime, so it would take about 100 seconds for it to go down completely, but with gen-tapping and the fact Killers can't see Gen's progression without add-ons, it's hard to say if my estimate is the truth, but from what I've seen, that's what I believe is the stats for it. :) (FUN FACT, I was wrong. Oof.)

  • It takes 80 charges to finish a generator. Regression is 0.25 charges per second. Do the math.

  • Nevermind, @Boss gave a way better and most statistical answer, my bad. If i had to guess, it's 0.2% @BACKSTABBER

1% is too little? so it is just to mark it with sparks?

in that case Pop Goes The Weasel with a 25% down seems interesting

  • That means 0,25% per second. It takes 4 seconds to regress a gen by 1%

In other words, a really long time.

My statistics were off, and I mean WAYYYY off, but yeah, Pop is good for dealing with Gen progression, especially with Ruin.

  • In other words, damaging a generator causes almost zero regression

it only works to mark gens with sparks, for the BP and overcharge

Almost, it takes 4 seconds for it be 1%, but with Pop, Overcharge, and Ruin, you could get a lot of regression out of it for Survivor's mistakes.

No, it doesn't. 80 charges. Not 100. Regression is 0.25 charges per second. Do the math.

  • @Boss already posted the answer, but apparently it got overlooked.

If you damage a gen at 99,99999%, then it will take 320 seconds until it has lost all progress.

Or in other words, the gen loses 0.3125% progress every second which is quite slowly =)

For comparison, a survivor needs 80 seconds to repair a gen fully (witout toolbox, no great skillchecks), which means that at base repair base, a survivor repairs 1.25% per second.

So, a single survivor can repair the gen 4 times faster at base speed than the regression takes off the gens progress.

No, it doesn't. 80 charges. Not 100. Regression is 0.25 charges per second. Do the math.

none is got enough brain to do the math DUUUD simply tell us or keep silence forever

Finally, someone who can do kindergarten math.

  • They should either make it so restarting a kicked gen takes way longer than just tapping it or increase gen regression by at least 3 times the amount. This would mostly impact SWF anyways since solos would most likely not know which gen is far.

  • Survivors work on the generator at 1 charge per second and the gen needs 80 charges. So I think that's 1.25% per second.

Killers regress that at 1/4 that speed so 1.25 (1/4) = .3125% per second. (Very slow)

  • It could stand to be a little faster (or the initial kick should do a decent chunk of damage), but 3 times is absurd.

  • If you're asking how much it goes down when you kick it, it doesn't go down. It just starts to regress at 0.25 c/s. It only goes down on the kick when you have PGTW.

  • Regression is a joke.

0% per damage, 0.25% per second

Why to damage gens like truetalent always do then? Just to mark them with sparks?

Regresion needs a buff like a fixed 5%

  • Unnerving Presence and Distressing work well on a killer with a normal terror radius, when using a 3 or 4 gen strat. Kicking gens ensures that it will take longer to finish the gens, and forces survivors to make risky choices. You can easily patrol those last 3 or 4 gens. When I have a Trapper daily, it’s a nice way to bring the progression to a halt. Once you have at least 1 survivor dead, the others will drop like flies.

  • @BACKSTABBER It's a situational thing whether you should kick the gen or just leave it. A lot of killers prioritize the chase and it's more efficient for them to not kick.

kicking a gen for a 1% recession is worthless

kicking a gen for marking it with sparkles can be useful

kicking a gen when ur in a chase can make u lose the chase or not

I think, gen recession after kicking should have a fixed 5%

It's not 1%. A few people have told you the correct percentage.

How do you get 0,25% per second when a generator doesn't take 100 seconds to complete?

  • @BACKSTABBER 5% instant regression feels okay to me. Survivors need to work 4 seconds on the gen to compensate that.

Yes I have the ######### impression that even Truetalent thinks he got some reasonable regression since he always kick gens!

but is crap lol he is losing many chases wasting time with it

Worse thing is everybody copy him too lol

  • With the suggestion of instant 5% regression, it'll actually feel worth it to go through an animation without it being too close to Pop Goes The Weasel.

    I like it.

Yeah currently the regression and zero is the same, what a waste of time Truetalent does
