Does this explain why I hardly face a Billy anymore? I have 10 blights in a row but Billy's are rare. That is such a bummer.

Buy a chapter so they have money?? Sure, because BHVR is lacking any of that, right?
If you don't like something, don't buy it. That way they get the jist and will be more likely to fix it. Your ideology is anything but logical or correct. Like they say, if you wanna hurt them, do it where it hurts most, in this case, not buying the chapter.

Got reported for using ''wallhacks'', when playing scratched mirror Myers.

Smurfs on any platform, in any game are pathetic. They want to dominate less experienced people just to keep their ego up

Survivor. Can't deal with the stress playing killer brings.

Well then, don't complain when high-ranking killers only play Spirit (with beads) and Nurse. When the survivors have tools that allow them to ignore all the Killer's normal options to end chases and get kills, the Killers are left with no choice but to employ tools that do the same to survivors.
I think most killers should be viable at high ranks, and Survivors should be able to win while using more than one perk build at high ranks. So to achieve a meta like that, something in the Survivors' kit needs to go. And considering how often survivors criticize "crutch" perks like NOED, I think it's only fair that a "crutch" perk like Decisive Strike should be treated the same way.
And I call DS a crutch perk because the worst player in the world could still get mileage out of it. At least NOED requires you to actually land a hit.
I never complained about any specific killer to go against. I don't mind which killer I go against as long as long as there's somewhat variation, I mean it's obvious that nobody wants to go against the same killer over and over. I can see why killers play with the stronger killers, they wanna have a fun time. The fun thing is that I never use decisive strike and that I could not care less if they would want to nerf it.
But hey, some people can say ''NOED is for the bad players, atleast with decisive strike you have to actually land a skill check.'', it's just from what side people experience the game the most that'll make their opinion.

I meant between "Fact" and "Opinion"
You have yours, which is using things in the game in ways they were not made for is "Efficient use of tools".
I have mine, in that using DS to give yourself immunity to all but slugging and then avoiding that by jumping into a locker, or using the hit you get from BT to body block, when it was made to be an anti-tunneling perk that gets you off the hook and away, is people using things outside of it's intended use to give themselves an advantage that they would not normally have. Also known as exploiting. Much like Old Legion slashing you and moonwalking. You wanna call that "Efficient use of tools"? Or how about Prayer Beads? Or Omega Blink Nurse when that was a thing? Wanna just let people do that cause its in there tools and they can just do it as much as they want?
It's also interesting that you are trying to be such a warrior for this and I frankly just feel apathy. I'm telling you what I see, and you are defending your stance as if it's fact and can not be changed. So sure, you have your opinion and I'll have mine. People can disagree. Have fun in the Fog.
Sure thing. Agree to disagree.

It's not a fact. I can go look up the meaning of the words if you like.
Also, I'd expect them to go all out, duh. But that doesn't mean abusing something like that. Guess who doesn't tunnel, camp or even slug much and yet can get to Red ranks as Legion? Me.
The point you are trying to make has no barring on my thoughts to this. Killers have far less to exploit as far as I know, and not alot of those would be perks.
I would love to. I would like to know which dictionary defines ''efficient usage of tools'' as abuse.
And nice you can make it to red ranks by not camping, slugging, tunneling or whatsoever but that doesn't take your right away to do so, as annoying as it is from the opponent's perspective. In a survivors versus killer game it's absolutely logical that your opponent will make it as difficult as possible for you, that is not abuse.

What if it made it so lockers dont hide the survivors aura? Could also make it so grunts of pain arent muffled when in the locker and breathing is louder
That would make lockers a bigger decoration than they already are.

And your opinion doesn't change mine. They are doing it cause the perk allows them too, but was not designed for it. So, thank you for trying I suppose.
That's not an opinion, that's a fact. Just like how killers try to use their tools as efficient as possible. What else would you expect from your enemy?

This. Exactly this.
It's almost as bad as body blocking cause you have BT. People abuse things cause they can.
People wanting to make the best of what they have and try to use perks as efficient as possible is not the definition of abuse. The fact that it's annoying doesn't mean you can just put incorrect tags on players.

Cant we just remove the dosconnect button? Make it where you have to shut the game down completely to disconnect. If you have a legit reason it wont affect you. If you are just being a douche then it makes it way more inconvenient.
People will still pull their plugs out
-
Didn't they make changes with basement stairs so survivors can walk past to avoid these situations?
In that video it just looks like you don't wanna step into a trap and die, I don't see anybody being held hostage. Report the killer for using a smart tactic and not giving you a chance to leave the basement without getting back on the hook, logical.
Small edit ; Never seen somebody be so scared of dying in the PTB, I like that :)
-
The video would have been better without the overdramatic commentary they give.
-
In what rank do you play? Hardly doubt it's red ranks.
-
Isn't that the whole purpose of perks? That they are very strong together? I base my perk load-out on the other perks too, so my build gets stronger and my chances of survival are bigger. Killers do that too, with Ruin and Thrill Of The Hunt for example. It's using the given space logically.
-
I've been thinking the exact same as you have for a few months now. Have all my survivors P3, all killers P1+ and got all perks for every character. There is no goal to set for myself anymore to make the game fun like it used to be for me. I'd definetly love to see new game modes. But then, in the anniversary stream, they did show some new features that could potentially make the game slightly more attractive again.
-
Literally the first time I had points maxed out on every category without any farming going on. Don't really feel 'proud' of things I do, I usually feel lucky instead, lol.

It's nothing to do with learning the role. Survivor is a learning curve, no doubt, but the killers get more.and more beefed up. We have perks that are 100% useless. Oh, speed bonus to do gens when you're the last survivor.
What good is that with endgame now? You tell me. The totems are unfindable without small game and even them it's a hunt.
The devs only seem to care about the opinions of the killers. This game is supposed to be fun and hard for both sides. I admit I'm a survivor main because playing killer makes me queasy with the first person POV. I can do it, but it's not my fav.
And with killers who camp and tunnel... ugh. Even my hard core friends who have been playing this game from the start are getting fed up with the OP killers and toxicity. I mean they killers even run faster than the survivors. I'm a pretty laid back person but even I'm frustrated and disgusted.
Considering that survivors have nothing to truly counter the killers it's easy to understand the frustration if you're a smart and rational person. Learn to play survivor better? That's just arrogance.
No way. Totems are usually quite easy to find because there are only a few spots where they could spawn. It rarely happens that there's a totem that stays hidden all game.
And what do you expect? Killers should have more power, cause after all it's a 4v1, and with the right perk build you might still dominate the killer.
Did you ever bother playing killer for a bit so that you'd actually understand their frustrations and see that they are definetly not as strong as you think they are right now?

Going chase to chase and being able to rapidly down new survivors means you are better than them. Killing people on their first hook or proxy camping them down doesn't really prove much. Now I love playing a campy basement hag game; but no it doesn't take too much skill to do.
A killer might not care about showing the survivors that he is, what survivors describe as good. They wanna eliminate people as fast as possible so tunneling is very effective, but annoying when you're the survivor.
-
I play survivor because playing killer gets me quite frustrated fast and when playing survivor I can just take it easy. I also love the chases bound to this role. Another bonus is that, after the devotion system got implemented, you earn XP faster because matches usually don't last as long as killer games do.
-
Am I one of the only who loves the new P3 Kate cosmetic? D:
-
No doubt it's going to be Kate.
-
I play in the red ranks and never seen them empty. Lobbies fill quick and there is no sign of the survivor playerbase decreasing. Survivors aren't really getting nerfed, you just refuse to learn the role of survivor better.
-
@xEa said:
Q: Why is tunneling bad?
A: Because it is no fun for the tunneld Survivor (and eventually for the whole team). The same is valid for Camping or Survivor who try their best to piss off the Killer.
Also, if a killer has to tunnel a Person or camp the hook, he is simply not good enough.
I would never tunnel anyone, just for those 2 reasons (no fun for anyone and it would be a concession that i am bad)
Using a effective strategy suddenly means you're not good at the game? I'm not seeing your logic.

Forcing people (yes, you essentially ARE forcing them) to play with voice chat will absolutely result in the loss of players. I would not play anymore myself. This is completely the wrong way to go about it.
Unlike you, many (competitive) people might like talking about possible strategies over voice, it can make a team a real team rather than 4 strangers doing their own thing. Nobody forces anybody to use their mic, and there should always be an option to mute people but atleast you'll lose your right to blame your team for anything in the end chat.

So your idea of balance is a killer that is hard to master but pays off by getting 4K every game?
Lol, just because you master something doesn’t mean you deserve to get 4K every game because of broken Nurse. Screws over the game experience of the 4 survivors who don’t stand a chance.
Unlike many killers where they hardly get a 1K or 2K. And if the nurse is so good and kills all within 5 minutes, just move on. It's not like you'll go against a really good nurse every match. Or use perks like Borrowed Time and rush hooks to safety pip, if that's your problem.

That is maybe the worst balance philosophy I've ever seen. Just because you spend some time practicing nurse doesn't mean you should be able to dominate every single team you come across.
No. There are many, many more good survivors then there are good nurses and they dominate pretty much all the other killers. Just because you want something to not be a challenge doesn't mean it's OP.
-
A lot of survivors (and killers TOO) call everything that offers them a challenge OP.

@Mew said:
I almost always give hatch, even sometimes carry people to the exit gates when ive been playing super bad.
If you have the option to give them the hatch, you haven't been playing bad. The survivors have been.
-
Tunneling is only considered bad for bad survivors who want to toy around with the killer with made up rules. It's annoying, but an effective way to eliminate people fast.
-
So many complaining about something that is unlikely to happen, lol.
If voice comms shouldn't be added in-game, people should stay quiet about people using voice comms outside of the game too.

“ Also, if you willing choose to not communicate with your teammates, than its completely fair if you get shafted for your choice of non-communication”
LOL! Yes, force communication with randoms, very fair. Get used to very long killer queues cause there will be a loss of survivors. This would be the worst thing they could possibly do with the game. Also, the game is slanted in the killers favor against 4 solo players. Most people are aware of this. Let’s not pretend these games are evenly balanced cause they aren’t. So they have taken into account the existence of SWF somewhat.
But killers currently get frustrated with the fact that SWF groups use voice communications. The developers could NEVER tell the SWF players to not use voice communications like TeamSpeak and Discord. So by adding it in-game you can atleast balance around it because it's a feature that exists in the game. If you choose not to use the in-game voice communications then it's up to you for the potential loss of useful information you could have gotten over voice.

@Groxiverde said:
Nurse should be more countereable, being a "god nurse" is not enough excuse to 4k every game
It's just a case of hard to master but pays off if you dedicate. Seems completely fair to me that they 4k every game then
-
How about you put some effort in adapating yourself to the stronger killers like the Nurse?
-
@Spaceman94 said:
No. SWF communication is already ruining the killer experience.
And that's why adding in-game voice communications can help balance around this issue and thus solve it.
Besides that, I'll probably fail to play seriously imagening people acting all crazy through their mic like they do in some games :'). Would love it.

I rather use perks that help me in a chase like Iron Will and Quick & Quiet so I can last for as long as possible and do my contribution to the team that way ;). I'd never replace Iron Will, especially with the amount of spirits I see these days

huntress doesen't have map pressure like billy does and she easily has the worst tracking in the game and billy still has good chase and insane map pressure while huntress has insane chase but no map pressure
Depends on what rank you play in. I play in the red ranks every season. Billy loses his map pressure just so fast that his fast movement with the chainsaw can not make up for. Huntress on the other hand can ''scare'' survivors when they hear the lullaby, if really good with huntress you can even throw hatchets from a far distance when you have perks like discordance.
-
Lately I really wonder if Hillbilly is stronger than Huntress, after the lullaby buff. A huntress can hit her hatchets over some loops, but even a good billy isn't going to easily get a chainsaw off. I find looping Billy much easier than Huntress (and from what I see in my games my teammates seem to do to), so you can waste much more of his precious time.
-
Open-Handed... Such a waste of a slot.
-
It's not fun to go against legion when I bring in a medkit though :P
-
The game is full of immature people who do not find their real life entertaining which they're well aware of and abreact their anger in a game by acting toxic. Best is to just ignore it for as much as you can rather than giving them the thought that they pissed you off. Talking about both survivors ánd killers.
-
Reading/studying, and going out with friends.
-
Endgame chat will always be full of unhappy people despite what you do.
Do what favors you more in a trial as a killer, even if that is securing your kill. I'd just recommend getting Ruin just so you have more time to chase survivors around and while grinding bloodpoints to get ruin ; Try to see everything as a experience from which you can learn, even if the matches went really bad because that'll eventually make you a solid killer.

Some extra fries and a coke? Costs only 0,99$ each!
I have played solo survivor around 80% of my time in Dead by Daylight, and despite it being pretty annoying that survivors sometimes make unoptimal movements it's definetly incorrect to say survivor is harder than killer. Unless you have played with nurse or spirit for decent amount of hours, but even then it's still challenging.
-
Definetly killer, especially when going against organized (SWF) teams that know exactly what they're doing.

I have two more to share, still makes me laugh everytime.
^ Shared this one on the forum before, but couldn't resist doing it again.
^ The person talking in the chat here was a survivor who got killed along with 2 others. But, he thought he got killed because he used an Asian name (?). Besides the community being so toxic the community can be so funny, too.
