So you're a rank 6 and this is the first time you've seen this 'tryhard' setup? So what I can take from this is that it's actually very rare to see a 4 man SWF squad like this. You got 2 kills, devs say 2k average is balanced.
Also let's look at 'tryhard'. They're using perks given to them by the game as are you. You're using the killer meta of BBQ and Ruin, you even threw Nurses and Enduring because they're some of the best killer perks and are available to you just like the survivor perks are available to them. They didn't even bring in 4 'OP' items, only one insta.

LOL we were laughing about that they other night. I think Chem broke one while Jenna was being chased. The funny thing is, i can only remember a few special games because of escapes. All the funny [BAD WORD] ups i can recall like i'm Rainman. Do you remember this little gem"Hey are all the totems cleansed", "Yep" NOED! 6 out of 7 games straight that night!
I had a friend on a gen beside me while I was cleansing a hex totem and another friend body blocking for me because we could see the killer was on the way to us. My friend was like 'I'll block just finish it' Of course as soon as I cleansed it we were all exposed and ran for our lives.

I meet better survivors once the rank reset hit, and potatoes once the reset is 1/2 week old, whatever ranks i am, idkIn my opinion potatoes rank slower than good survivors, so they safety pip more meaning it takes them longer to reach rank 1 than a good survivor. Because a good survivor has no where to go once they reach rank 1 they sit there and eventually the potatoes catch up and end up in their/your games. Meaning a few weeks into rank reset you start meeting more idiots in the trials.
Of course this doesn't account for the fact that right after rank reset you should all still be around the same rank.

Are you holding M2 then pressing spacebar? You need to be healing using the medkit, then press spacebar to use the syringe/styptic.
No you can't self-heal in a dying state only someone else can heal you.
-
I think they are pointing out that a lot of survivors suicide on the hook when they're being camped. Which just screws over the other survivors. The best thing you can do is hang there without attempting to escape and struggle allowing the other survs time to do gens. The only problem with that sometimes is some survivors seem to believe they are immortal and will unhook you even without Borrowed Time at which point you will be tunnelled and hooked again. If you're team is lucky you will be a decent looper and waste enough of the killers time, if they aren't lucky you'll be caught again pretty instantly and camped through 2nd phase and they won't even have a gen done.

It's broken matchmaking. That's an SWF team, while usually the killers rank is in between the survivors rank the matchmaking just breaks sometimes because of the way it's set up. It searches for a range of killer ranks and expands that range if it can't find a game. So because of the rank 16 survivor your wife got pulled into that match. I'm a rank 16 killer and it's happened to me a few times. It's why you hear people complain about the matchmaking.
My friends and I are red rank survivors and we got pulled into a rank 16 killer match. And this was a 4 man SWF all red ranks, that rank 16 killer never should have been in our search parameters. How is that fair to them? It was very obvious to us he was struggling but we had thought he had just ranked too fast as it was at the end of the last double blood point event. Matches like that are disheartening and can make those players not want to play again.

The only issue with insta-heals is that they are used during chase. If there were a condition saying that pressing the secondary action button while healing does not apply in chase, the insta-heals would be fine. This makes insta-heals virtually useless. If I'm not in a chase why would I use a rare single use item to heal when I could just take a normal medkit with charge/speed add-ons or self-heal?

OrionsFury4789 said:@Orion In response to what you said earlier to me , yes I guess for now I do have to deal with it , but as not queen said in the other thread to me its very well a possibility that when dedicated servers come out that lobby dodging punishments be one of the things reviewed though right now with the ping indicator being there for the killer to detect a bad lobby it's not fair to take that but we both know that's because the killer is the host and they don't have the servers yet , so I'll just keep my fingers crossed and play the game, but I have a feeling that it will happen and I'm gonna love it when it does , think about it once they fix the matchmaking coming in together and implement the servers , that would be the last real step to fully optimize the match making and make it fair to the people who wait and the fact it's becoming a bigger problem that more people are conplaining about something will probably get done.
If they punish killers for dodging lobbies a lot of people will just stop playing the game.
They need to tackle the reason why people dodge lobbies, an example being the toxicity.
You have no idea if a survivor is going to be toxic before entering the match. You're using biased past experiences to judge survivors on the character they choose, the clothes they choose, they name they choose. Could they be toxic? Or course but anyone wearing or carrying anything could. For all you know you're missing out on a fun match because you refuse to play certain lobbies. You've had bad experiences and instead of challenging yourself and moving past them you use them as an excuse to dodge.
I get it, killer is harder but if you're that confident in yourself at your rank you would give those hard lobbies a chance once in a while. Doesn't have to be every single one but maybe 2-3 times a week say I'm not dodging this today and see if it surprises you.
Unfortunately the toxicity is in a cycle now. Killers complain survivors do toxic stuff such as gen rush, ds etc so they have a reason to camp/tunnel/mori. Survivors use the camping/tunneling/moris to bring in their 'toxic' perks/items. The only REAL toxicity should be considered the end game chat toxicity or holding the game hostage. Perks, items and add-ons are intended and shouldn't be considered toxic. Live with them. If you feel they're unbalanced continue to advocate for a change in them without calling out any survivor/killer that uses them as 'toxic'. The meaning of that word in gaming has been lost in DbD.

Trying to figure out why on earth a killer should just willingly go into a toxic game.Problem is killers have no idea which SWFs are toxic, which aren't, and which will lie about not being toxic when they actually want to make the killer miserable anyhow.
I get it. Give SWF a chance.
Thing is, we have, and that's why we're here, and others blew it for you.Until this game is balanced around 4 survivors communicating and coordinating (and it's not), prepare to be dodged.
And why on earth should a survivor just willingly play a toxic game?
Problem is survivors have no idea which killers are toxic until they enter gameplay.
LOOK both can be said for either side. Solo survivors can also be toxic. But the amount of dodging some killers do is ridiculous. They use any excuse in the 'rulebook' to dodge so they get an easy lobby. P3 Claudette? I'm out. Flashlight? I'm out. Oh that Nea looks toxic, I'm out. Clicks on surv profile and reads comments...Oh they sound toxic, I'm out. Just like some survivors will dc because they entered a match that wasn't going to be an easy win. Was the first found? They dc. Seen a secret killer offering? dc. Heard a nurse blink? dc. Killer has pink add-on? dc. Difference is survivors can get punished for dc'ing too much and the remaining survivors are basically punished by having an even more difficult match.
Instameds can be used once. BNPs are nowhere near as powerful as they were, and can only be used on one gen (unless each surv brings one i). Flashlights aren't as easy to use as they once were. 'OP' keys are only useful once the hatch spawns, which means killer is winning but survivors got enough gens done for hatch to spawn now they have to find it. Maps are rarely used but can run out of charge. Vacuum pallets are gone, and needed to be. Pallets are technically limited to x amount per map and not supposed to be able to spawn too close. Totem spawns have been changed. And I actually agree all those changes needed to happen. I don't care about killers pink add-ons but in comparison, they aren't limited while in a match and they don't need to be. Ebony mori's are annoying but at least they have to be earned i.e killer has to hook you first then down you again.
Honestly though, even as a survivor main I think the best thing they could do is have no more than 2 of the same item in a game. So you couldn't take in more than 2 toolboxes etc. It would have to be first equipped or whatever. Killer gets to see names, characters, items etc but doesn't get to look through a survs profile. That's not going to happen though and even at that people will continue to dodge/dc because they want a 'fun' or 'easy' game.
The problem is everybody calling everything toxic. Anything a survivor can use to attempt to, you know, survive is considered toxic. And the strongest add-ons/offerings a killer can bring in to make sure the match is in their favour is considered toxic. How about accepting that not every match is going to go your way? That maybe you shouldn't be escaping 8/10 time? Or your average kill shouldn't be 3k+?
-
That's just some players for you. No matter what you did they would have found a reason to call you a bad killer. Some players just can't admit they made a mistake that got them downed etc. This is every game I play, though this community has the largest salt reserves I've ever seen. I'm a bit worried some of my other games might run out or need to ration it.

I play EU and get fast lobbies, this could be more a platform difference.

If the killers are tunneling you so bad that they're literally ignoring other survivors in their path and throw their game away to kill you.. then you're not as innocent as you believe. I've only seen this behavior when a survivor triggers the killer so hard that they're given a severe case of tunnel vision. It doesn't happen that often but it does happen. I was found by a Clown in Lery's before even toughing a gen, solo surv game btw and we joined lobby at different times. I don't take items or teabag. He caught me eventually and hooked me. Surv unhooked me and he tunnelled me, no obsession, no mori. He stopped to smack two different survivors off two different gens I had ran near and turned straight back to me. I'm guessing it's just the way he plays. But this happens so rarely it's strange it would happen a few games in a row.

Never in film, books, or real life is a killer good, noble or fair.
Well they're killers so technically they can't be good but what you say is somewhat wrong.
Jigsaw could be considered 'fair' in that if you escaped he let you go.
Dexter only killed other criminals up until season 5, even after that he targets abusers and criminals. He could be considered a 'good' killer.
And there's a real life serial killer who only targeted criminals.Of course they had the urge to kill other humans and therefore can't actually be good. Maybe that DbD killer who lets someone get the hatch is just made of the same killer material?

If I dodge a lobby it is because A) the pings are all outside of my comfort zone or B ) I don't feel like dealing with certain potential scenarios. SWF isn't a big concern to me yet as I'm not at a rank where it matters just yet, but I don't like trying to find Claudette as she's hard to see. I also don't like Bills cause I don't enjoy BT and Unbreakable. My go to when the pressure is on is start slugging. I'm old school like that, but some days you just don't want the extra headache.Dodging bad ping is fine. 4 toolboxes? Fine doges. 4 flashlight? Go ahead. I can somewhat understand those. Too many immersed Claudette's are a problem but 1 or 2? But Bills? You know any survivor can run Unbreakable and/or BT? In fact I don't even play Bill and have run them on several occasions. That's like saying every David runs Dead Hard or every Laurie runs DS. So I just don't see the point in dodging particular survivors. I don't like the idea of killers dodging survs based on the skins they choose to run because that's all survivors are, especially at red/purple ranks. Skins. Most survs by that point will have a build they like running and will have it on their main no matter who that main is.

I suggest to add the following items
1. shotgun with 1 bullet only. It can shoot killer backward and make killer faint for 3 seconds.
2. shield at back which can take 1 strike.
3. Speaker which can fake killer where survivor is.
4. sensors which can detect where killer is
5. Walkie talkie, survivors can know their locations each other all the time when all survivors bring it.As a survivor main ... No, we don't need these.
- Pallet stuns if you want to risk camping the pallet or flashlight blinds.
- DS or another survivor body blocking
- Pebble
- Alert, Premonition, Spine Chill
- SWF, Bond, Empathy
You have things that suffice already use them.
On the topic at hand, I rarely ever take an item in and I don't think any more need to be added. I just don't see how they would help and you would need add-ons for the items. Now imagine looking for those items and add-ons in the bloodweb. Instead of 4 you now have 6 or 7?

Also run Kindred when playing solo.
16-15. Don't have kindred (or much of anything) on Claudette. The killers aren't exactly campy, either. all 3 just kinda run side to side and stuff. Even then I'm running into 3 man SWFs at the least (Green ranks) and this keeps happening.
Yeah that's how rank 15 survivors usually act.
I'm purple ranks and have seen this. Was on the hook, one person dead already and I'm struggling. Sat and watched the other two on the same gen not even coming for me, I see the killer head in their direction. Next thing they both run in opposite directions and run around like headless chickens like they are both being chased. Or I've watched someone urban evade from the other side of the map to the hook and I go into struggle phase on first hook. It isn't always like this but it feels 10 x worse than it used to be.

More than half my games as a Survivors the Killers just want to farm the event. I don't care for any of the cosmetics, but I do wait to work on gens just out of respect to everyone else if it's obvious they want to farm. Killer side I'm actually having fun NOT attacking the Survivors.Play Spirit, pop next to Survivors, pick one to be my "best friend" (Feng Min), and just chase her. Sometimes they catch on quick and I just follow them around, and Survivors let me hook them on my hooks, and other times I just chase them and laugh as they keep running from me.
I might do this stuff more often, really livens up the game imagining these Survivor's reactions to Cassie the Friendly Ghost!
You need an inner monologue when you're chasing them. I just want to hug you! And poor Dwight just keeps running until he finds a locker.

I haven't played as much, nearly every match for me is the killer exclusively chasing me down repeatedly and I can't get away. If I am unhooked, I am insta-downed and back on the same hook anyway. Wiggle feels pointless since there are so many hooks. And then the killer lag is insane. Nightmare I never know where the lullaby is coming from, does he see me or am I safe in this spot? The Pig's gimmick isn't fun, running around to as much as four puppets to try and break free. Doctor's spam the electric floor through walls and other barriers so where do you go? The forums really paint a different picture that the game favors survivors, maybe it does and I just need to learn the perks and how to be a terrible survivor for killers.Survivor is definitely easier once you get more used to playing. There are a lot of killers that will tunnel, i.e. focus on you and you only. Especially if they know you're easy to down and kill, getting rid of a survivor or few early, with few gens done, makes their games easier. There are quite a few streamers and youtube videos you can watch to help you learn how to survive better, or play killer/watch killer play. I advise playing both survivor and killer so you understand where the other side is coming from. Personally I don't camp or tunnel simply because I don't want to.
One of the main reasons it's harder for killer is because they're more pressured by time at the start of the match. Survivors can finish gens very quickly, and very efficiently if they're playing SWF (Survive With Friends), and if they don't camp it takes 3 hooks for each survivor. That means they have to chase and down each survivor 12 times in total, add in DS, pallets, looping, flashlight saves. These all waste killers time and add more pressure to their gameplay. And as you can imagine can become very frustrating if you've downed a survivor, they use DS, you down them again, they get saved by flashlight, you down them again and finally manage to hook them for the first time but 3 gens have been finished. Aside from feeling pressure from time they also have map size to contend with, and putting pressure across it to stop the gens from being completed. If they manage to put enough pressure on and hook enough survivors before gens are down the match can easily turn in their favour and survivors are playing catch up.
The Pig's trap may be annoying but she relies on RNG, there's a good chance you get the trap off on the first box you visit and she only has so many of them. The trap going off doesn't happen as often as you'd imagine, you usually have just enough time to check all the boxes (if you're not found again) and a gen has to be finished after the trap goes on your head to even start the countdown. The only way to avoid the Doctor's static electricity is to not be in his terror radius or get in a locker, otherwise you madness will increase.

D/S isn't even a problem. Not sure why people even complain about it anymore. Been playing at rank 1 again and I see that perk like once every 10 matches? I think people overplay it way too much. Granted it's an extremely over powered perk. But it seems like most survivors prefer not to use it. Which I am surprised at. Because in my time playing survivor... DBD is at a terrible place. It's like 1 every 10 games where you don't face a camper. I dunno. Wish the good killers would come back into the game. It seems like all the bad camping ones stayed instead.I'm a rank 15 killer, I'd say about 90% of my matches today have had DS in it. Everyone's experiences are different, that could be a different percentage for me another day but it's about normal tbh.
-
I wouldn't mind that solution as it would help those that hadn't finished yet and those that had finished but still have offerings. It would mean you're more likely to use your offering which helps not only survivors that haven't finished but killers by providing more of the event objectives.

Would killers also have more event hooks? Do you realise how hard it is to get to an event hook sometimes? If you're the only one using and offering (and yes this happened to me today) there are 3 hooks and you could end up never being near them, now you have to kite the survivors that way. So now killers have to get 3 hooks a match to fill a vial while getting the survivor who's specifically on death hook to the right hook.

Depends...if a killer is letting you harvest then of course I’ll let them put me on a event hook. Although if they are doing things such as setting traps (Hag and Trapper) at nectar plants then I’m not going to LET them hook me on event hooks because they are purposely trapping survivor nectar, so why would I give them theirs?Example is that I was injured and Hillbilly let me finish harvesting a nectar plant so I obviously let him carry me to an event hook. Another round this Hag set ALL 10 of her traps at a nectar plant, I won’t purposely let her carry me to an event hook.
Maybe the Hag was just trying to grind "Triggered" or "Even Punishment"?
“Triggered” is so easy to get. They have to trip your traps 100 times and survivors are CONSTANTLY tripping the traps especially at lower ranks. I got it in about 4 or 5 rounds as the Hag. Smart idea to grind that trophy though.
It's 300 times, but yeah I'm about halfway through that achievement and I only got Hag a month ago and not a killer main. I put traps in a whole row one match because I was bored that day and someone ran through all 10 of them.

Summing up the second part of my rant, this games hitsboxes are weird to be broken sometimes.
Welcome to DBD. We call these spot "fat shame" and they are often fixed sooner or later down the line. The new Pantry map has a really bad one with a log spawned next to the rock that looks like anyone could squeeze down but nope, not even survivors fit.
I'm not that surprised there's a new unpassable spot on there since they shrunk the map. At least they fixed the one with the log by the small boat.

Lery's is one of the hardest for Nurse because of LOS. The best thing you can do in those matches is accept you may not get a kill and use it to practise blinking. I'm not saying don't chase, just don't go in thinking there is some way you can win without practicethere, but don't give up straight away as you won't learn to play her on that map otherwise. If you want an upside of this map, it's the smallest one (I believe), that makes your blinking much more efficient and better gen pressure.

Ok maybe greedy was taking it too far. But imagine you only get to play 2 hours a day of DbD. Now your a solo player and you've joined up with three other who have already got their 30 vials.
Okay, now imagine that you are the only one who brought an offering. There are only 3 plants total on the whole map and no one else on your teams gives a crap about harvesting. The killer happens to find you and tunnel you. You are going to die and now there is 0% chance of even gaining the bonus bloodpoints. At least if other people bring offering and harvest plants, you should get like 20k bloodpoints even if you get tunneled.
And more plants means a higher chance of finding the plants. If there are only 3 plants and you are the only one looking for them then there is no guarantee that you'll find and be able to harvest the plants. If everyone else in the team already has all their vials then they don't give a crap who does the harvesting. They just want the bloodpoints. They would rather have someone else do the harvesting. You really aren't thinking your position through here.

Blood points. Every time someone fully harvests a plant you get 4k bp. Past that nothing. Same went for every other event offering im keeping some just to look back at past events. The difference between the other events is that you could keep doing it tho' it didn't matter you could still get the Bps from the generators. But now we're locked after we've maxed it out which makes it next to no reason to put in offerings to "help" others. Which was the case with the other ones since you still got some benefit from them. I think this is the point he's trying to make.
See I understand them locking you out so those that still need nectar can get it, but as you said it gives no incentive for you to use your offering. In previous events you would use your offering and get bonus BP and could still help with the event objective to help other survivors. I'm just going to ask in chat if anyone needs nectar and use an offering, if I don't get extra BP so be it. They might revisit it in other events, so we'll see.

So in other words your greedy, because you have the ability to do nothing all day but play a computer game?
'Those people' that take longer than a day or two, or buy the game halfway through an event have always had it rougher because people always stopped burning event offerings towards the end. This isn't being greedy. This is wanting to be able to participate in the event without being artificially blocked. Once you reach 30 vials, you should start each map with an empty vial. Simple as that. This is a huge mistake that should be fixed ASAP!
Ok maybe greedy was taking it too far. But imagine you only get to play 2 hours a day of DbD. Now your a solo player and you've joined up with three other who have already got their 30 vials. 5 offerings are used meaning there are 7 plants on the map. To get a full vial you need to drain almost 3 plants, and those survivors with 30 already are wanting to drain plants just for their extra BP because they've already finished with the event.
TBH either way it's going to be a grind for those players since they'd either be competing with people who need nectar, who already have nectar but want the bonus bp, or they'd be going in with only a few (or none) offerings and possibly other survivors gen rushing/dying quickly.
It would be nice if DbD could balance it where those who have all their vials had a way of participating without, possibly, making it harder on those who haven't finished. BUT remember also this is the first time DbD has done an event this way. While you may feel you can't participate anymore, with feedback they may change future events. In the meantime use pre-match lobbies to find out if a survivor has an empty serum and play your offering and hope for the best.

Can we get that as a skin for her please?Fun trivia the Angry Princess is one of very few female horror villains to be as undressed as The Spirit, another in recent memory would be the Wendigo of Until Dawn.
@Fibijean said:
For me personally, I get where you're coming from, but if I just think about the first time I saw the Spirit, my thought process was more along the lines of "wow, amazing, I think this is the creepiest and most well-designed killer they've ever done. The details in the animations really sell it." So to premise, it is very much a matter of interpretation. However, I disagree that her backstory has no bearing on how scantily clad she is. As far as I remember, before she died, Rin was crawling around in a sea of broken glass, having already been sliced up with a katana. I feel like a situation like that would realistically shred her clothes as well as her skin, so it's not unreasonable that she won't have much left in the way of clothing by the time she's picked up by the entity.
That said, I think that how smooth-skinned she appears is a little unrealistic. She could have been made to look a bit more inhuman (like the Hag) and a bit less like a Barbie Doll if her skin was more torn up from all that broken glass. If it's enough to shred her clothes, her skin should also be in tatters. It's an 18+ game and the devs have already proven they don't have any issues with gore, so there's no reason why they couldn't have done that for her base model.
(Side note: I notice you mentioned something about wanting it to be accessible to people? I can't tell if that's because you think the sexualisation might offend some people, or that it's too mature for some players, but if it's the latter I would reiterate what I mentioned above about it being rated 18+, and for good reason.)
I do like her animations, the hovering limbs and occasional jittering about are a good touch and drawn from other popular depictions of Onryo (the specific vengeance spirit she's thematically inspired by). Besides her visual design my only remotely meaningful complaint about her (which is almost purely personal opinion) is that she's kind of loud on the main menu compared to other Killers. She's a great addition otherwise and I really enjoy playing her, just not so much looking at her.
In the course of her backstory (which I cover in the video for this reason), one arm is slashed twice, the other once, then her abdomen, her thigh, and then she's tossed through a glass partition landing a floor below her father. There's no mention of what she landed save for it being a lot of glass (presumably from the broken partition). I agree she could do with more glass damage on that basis, it does seem to be very little for what is described as a "sea" and would help to detract from her running around in literally underwear, but I disagree that it would be sufficient to render the rest of her clothes completely absent without trace.
There's also the matter that the underwear in particular doesn't make sense. The Spirit studied at Takamatsu university, an actual place that was founded in 1996, but sarashi are a traditional Japanese undergarment that went out of popular usage in the 1920s. I do suggest that the restaurant she was working at might have had a traditional style to it that would justify older attire, but kimonos don't shred very easily and we should see some trace of it on her (thematically she should be wearing a full burial kimono, which is actually what her most expensive cosmetic roughly resembles). We can maybe speculate that the devs are taking license here, but I don't think it really helps the matter of her being incredibly exposed ultimately.
My reference to accessibility relates to the broader issue that she's a woman running around in hardly even her underwear who was canonically murdered by her father (her backstory even explicitly mentions her father destroying her mother's breasts) and there are already two separate sexual predators in the Killer roster (yes I know Freddy would likely think her "too old" but that certainly hasn't stopped him before, and the Clown isn't explicitly driven by sexual desire but he certainly mirrors and echoes a great number of sexual predators).
When between 1 in 5 and 1 in 3 women will experience some form of sexual assault, and when it doesn't contribute meaningfully to the horror element (nudity and horror are unrelated but tend to get lumped together because they're both grounds for an adult rating), I think the design is just going to be off-putting for a lot of women who might play the game (@Naiad has mentioned not being put-off by it and hey great for them but they aren't the entire female population). We had the Nurse, the Huntress, and the Pig as fully-clothed women, the Hag wasn't great but at least she doesn't immediately read as a naked human, and now we've got the Spirit. It feels like we have done and could do way better.
Look I see where you're coming from but I don't feel you're going to get anywhere. And if you're really a feminist why are you only taking exception to Spirit's scantily clad body? Hag is still female and even more exposed. All female characters have almost the same body build; small, athletic build. While there's more variety in the male characters. Maybe they have more kimono type cosmetics planned for her that won't cost as much.
I don't think the burial kimono should be her base outfit simply because the Entity doesn't seem to wait until people are buried. With Adam he disappeared from the train. The Entity came to Rin as she lay dying in her house, she wouldn't have been found and dressed in a burial kimono then.
No, I'm not the entire female population, and never have thought I was. I know plenty of female gamers that like to play scantily clad female game characters. Are you speaking for all of them now? If people don't like that she's scantily clad there are many other killers they can play so DbD isn't restricting anyone's accessibility, except to one character some people have an issue with. Tbh it's not much different than if she was running around in the Fog in a bikini. Maybe we should argue that we need David (or Dwight) in some boxers?

I'm sorry you're not having fun. I'm a survivor main but when I'm playing killer during this event I'm trying to balance with those who want to farm and those who don't. I don't message people and just play as normal mostly, but if it looks like someone really wants their nectar I'll go easy on them. I'll also go a bit easier in the games that have someone that suicides after getting all the nectar they want.
I do get groups of survivors who just want a normal game, and while that is usually a much harder game for me (I'm not that great at killer) it balances out when I get bad teams or those that want to give me a hook. So I let them play as normal as I know not everyone wants to farm.
Hopefully in a few days it will settle down as those farmers will get their nectar pretty quickly.

So in other words your greedy, because you have the ability to do nothing all day but play a computer game?
'Those people' that take longer than a day or two, or buy the game halfway through an event have always had it rougher because people always stopped burning event offerings towards the end.You don't need others to burn offerings in order to harvest the nectar, you can use your own.
I know that, it's just more of a grind at the end. It's much easier to harvest nectar with 7 plants/hooks on a map than only 2. Especially for killers whose 2 hooks are nowhere near where they downed a survivor. Running iron grasp and/or agitation isn't always an option if those haven't appeared in your killers bloodweb yet.

Calm yourself. She or he has already conceded that her outfit isn't specifically engineered to be sexy, but a problem still remains in terms of optics. It would be a kind gesture to DBD's female player base if a different skin which contained more clothing could be started out with versus having to be purchased, or as I suggested, an equally exposed male killer, in the spirit of fairness. And me, being female, prefers the look of the scantily clad Spirit. For no other reason than aesthetics. Maybe stop sexualising animated characters? If we go with the videos theory that she was wearing some sort of traditional outfit for her job it's not unreasonable to believe that it fell apart as her father slashed at her.
Don't get me wrong, I'm all for fairness and equality, but there only seem to be a few people complaining about the Spirit.
Also, nitpicking, but Rin would never be The Nightmare's 'type'. If you think she would be you don't know his lore like you think.

Yes the BP stacks. So they use pustule offering and bbq and can get a lot of BP.
-
I thought you could use the offering, just not harvest, but if others harvested you got the bonus bp?

Most survivors are obsessed with getting their vials filled that they are ignoring gens until they get all the plants done. So its actually a good idea for killers to hang out at those plants. I know its working for the ones I have been playing with. People on the hook 2 or 3 times before a gen even gets done. And that's with no ruin too. Ridiculous. All you Trapper and Hag players would do well to trap up those plants because most survivors are obsessed with them right now.
I'm glad I just bought my Hallowed Dwight cosmetic instead of having to go do objectives that have nothing to do with surviving in order to get it.
I'm having the opposite experience, they're popping gens fast and only doing 1 of 2 plants if that. Sometimes once they've 2 gens done they'll go look for plants. They're also harvesting plants and leaving other survivors on hooks.

You do realize you have to play both to get all the vials for 2 outfits? You are basically complaining that half your challenges are too difficult.Did you not see how many hooks equal one vial for killer?
Honestly, how many?
6 I think, I didn't really keep count.

Thank you for this.

No. People are pissed and they are going to express that on the forums. No one cares if you are tired of reading about it or not. Just ignore it and move on.Because half or more of them are just flakes off of the real posts that have some weight to them, and they are not needed.
Over half of them are just crying and complaining, while the small amount as always, are the real ones with real talk and justification not blatant ignorance.
I mean yea a lot of it is whining. But it's justified whining. It's needed when people are unhappy with the direction a game is taking. If the Devs care about their game they will pay attention. If not, they will ignore it and face any potential consequences that brings with it. Either way, it's better for people to vent their frustrations than to just stay silent.
Whining is never justified. Constructive criticism or complaints - yes. If the posts were someone complaining and saying what they don't like about it and what they would like to see changed some of the replies would be different and a good discussion could arise from it. It's good to hear the devs are listening, so instead of telling people not to buy the cosmetics etc, try voicing your complaint/concern in a way that sparks a conversation and not lash back.
(Disclaimer: of course this is an anonymous forum and even when people voice their concerns in a thoughtful way there can be lash back.) -

I actually do feel bait and switchedYou may feel that way but you weren't.

First thing they need to realized is that this isn't F2P. I paid money for this game.Everyone paid money for this game. You paid money for the base game, you still have that. I've paid a lot more for other games and once the game is completed that's it unless I replay the same story again. I play games like this because I enjoy it and want to support it's development.
@SmokePotion said:
Second thing that needs to be realized is that if you play pretty much any other game, there's similar events being run. And they aren't charging you for most of the halloween stuff. (ie: Overwatch has new lootboxes, but if you don't get what you want by the end of the event you can buy the cosmetic, a better system imho)I've played tons of other games, and yes there are events like this. I play a game where you play a Halloween event for one cosmetic for one particular weapon, that's it. Some games will do lootboxes (which I hate btw). I don't see how comparing it to other games helps. In Overwatch you say you can buy the cosmetic you want if you don't get it in a lootbox. How is that better? Here you get to grind the serum and get the cosmetic you want then buy any extra you want in the store. My only hesitation is that these event skins will be for sale forever, but then again you get to grind for 3 pieces which someone buying the game even 3 weeks from now can't do.

As for having the money and the cosmetics looking cool: Some of us are Disabled Iraq war vets on a fixed income.. There is no shame in being poor, so stop shaming those of us who are. Some microtransactions are cool. I really like the chapters, good content and affordable for those of us who have to consider such things. Which should be bringing them a regular influx of capital.
Who is shaming you? I certainly didn't and I didn't see any other posts that did. Saying games need investment to continue is stating the truth not shaming anyone. Guess what? I'm poor too, I'm a single mother to a severely disabled child so I can't work. Maybe try not taking offense to a simple statement.

I'll be buying some if I like them and I'll tell you why, I like them.
Nothing was promised, you weren't even promised an entire skin for one character. Bait and switch is saying you'll get one thing and getting given something else.
BBQ event you got TWO pieces. One body skin for one particular survivor and one weapon skin for one particular killer. You didn't even get to choose.
This event? You get to grind for the serum which you use to choose which THREE skins you want. Yeah you may not feel like it's much but it's more than they've given before. And you get to choose between a few different survivors/killers. You like the body piece of Wraith but not the rest? Get that and then something for another killer/survivor.
Would it have been nice if we could get six cosmetic pieces? Yes anything would be a bonus because it would give us more to grind for but I'm okay with three. Mostly because I find after a week or so people who have what they want to use up all their offerings and don't claim any more, making it more of a grind for those people who may not have been able to play the first few days or just don't play as much as others and so need longer to get enough event items.
Games like this need investment to keep going. If the game doesn't bring money in the devs will be move on to other projects so they can eat and pay their mortgage etc.

Healing someone else is 16 secs
SC is 32 secs
SC with Sloppy is 38.4 secs
SC with botany = 21.44 secs
SC with botany and Sloppy = 27.84 secsThat's with tier 3 botany, it would be slower with tiers 1 and 2. So you'll have to decide if 2 perk slots are worth it.

I know its beating a dead horse but decisive strike really is the most broken thing in any game ever.
Actually no… that spot goes to Self Care.
The key deserves a spot too. Instant win button mid game.
We'll give up our instant win keys when you give up your instant win ebony mori.
Tell me again please, how is hooking someone once and down him again an "insta win"?
When you tell me how doing enough gens to enables the hatch to appear to however remaining survivors are left is an instant win. I won't say anymore to derail this thread.
"Doing enough" is just TWO and ALL survs can escape.
That is way closer to insta win than any Mori. Two gens isn't enough to make the hatch visible if all survs are still alive. The hatch only becomes visible when the number of repaired generators is one more than survivors alive. So 4 survivors alive all 5 gens need to be done for the hatch to become visible and someone use their key.
Edit: and if no one has a key, 3 survs need to leave through the exit gate for the hatch to even open for the 4th,

Yes during events sometimes, if they look like they're bypassing normal hooks I'll stop wiggling and let them get the event hook.

Did you manage to grab a video of it and send it to https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us (along with reporting them in-game)? If so, yes, it will be dealt with.
It's dumb that you have to provide video proof. Not everyone has the ability to record their match, I know I don't. And even if they do have the ability you'd have to be recording every match just in case. Will they look at it without the video proof?
I ran in to a sandbagging Claudette, only time she was near you she blowing up gens, throwing down pallets, fast vaulting. The Meg dc'd when they were about to be second hooked because of it. I tried staying near the Claudette so she would get caught also, but she was last one left. I spectated for 10 mins before giving up as she crouched around The Game with 4 gens still up just hiding from the killer. What is the point of me reporting if it's not goin to be looked at seriously because I have no video proof?

Well I'm rank 1 on both sides. Used to play mostly all killer. But I was struggling a bit to rank up as killer coming back to the game. I ended up playing more survivor then killer this season. Just because it seemed a lot easier since 8 months ago when I last played. The whole having to kill two players to pip seems to have made killer harder then it used to be.But anyhow. I should say as a solo survivor... I never get camped or tunneled. When I started to play SWF (With 3 friends that all have like 10 hours in DBD total.) We did start to see more campers. But I can't really blame them for camping. We were rushing hooks and tea bagging and being pretty toxic. So never really blamed them. Just told my friends... You know he's going to face camp you if he catches you. Feel like it's easy to tell when you're pissing off a killer. So probably avoid doing those things if you don't want to get camped/tunneled.
If you're going to be toxic the killers going to be toxic lol. Don't know why that's hard to understand.
Regardless. Killers being toxic and whiny in post-game chat? It's pretty uncommon. Obviously survivors are a lot more likely to whine and cry.
I do none of those things and get camped and tunnelled. I've seen other survivors do none of those things and get camped and tunnelled. Maybe some killers just camp and tunnel whoever they like, some will only do it to those they see as toxic. Maybe you've just been extremely lucky?
There is salt on both sides, I've seen killers and survivors be salty in end-game chat. Unfortunately when a survivor it toxic to a killer and escapes the killers is more likely to become toxic towards the following survivors. And if a killer is toxic towards a survivor for no perceiver reason it can make that survivor become more toxic or use more meta perks making the following killers react in kind.
-
Ignore the salt, sometimes they're just trying to provoke a reaction as well.
