If you have corn blindness, play 10-20 matches in a row in the corn and start looking for the odd colors. I absolutely hated playing in it while I was running my Hag up to P350, then a Survivor suggested I use all my Coldwind offerings and learn it better. You need to learn to differentiate the colors and find those oddball colors (Survivor clothing) that "almost" blend into it.
Once you can pick that out, start looking at the tops and bottoms of the stalks instead of in the middle. Don't look for movement (that has never helped me), but look for colors. You will be surprised at how much easier it is if you have serious corn blindness.
I still lose people in the corn, but nowhere near as often as I used to. I absolutely love catching that slightly off color out of the corner of my screen, turning and taking a healthy chunk out of a crouching Claudette. You can almost feel the jumpscare. Especially if you walk slightly past them, then turn and take a swipe. Pure joy and satisfaction.

I do if the match ends in a reasonable amount of time. Usually I'm heading off to the next one though, so I'll leave a thumbs up if the Killer wasn't some sweaty moron tunneling me because there are 5 gens left, or whatever excuse is needed.
Haven't seen too many of that type yet though, still in the green Ranks atm. Heading up pretty quickly (feels like they made it a helluva lot easier to pip in the past year since I played), so I'm sure my games will soon become infested with campy, tunnely, "I bought the game so I'll play it however I want" types who measure their e-peen with their kill count. Had a lot of fun matches though.

Dwight, Claudette, and Meg all have solid Perks for a new player. I would suggest not going for a "build" though. You need to learn the basics before you start crutching it up with Perks. Hitting skill checks, learning how to not run for your life when a Killer gets near, and learning how best to help your team (especially if you play solo) in the various situations. By the time you get all your available Survivors to level 40 (for all the teachables) you'll have a better sense of what Perks are good for your style of gameplay.
I definitely would not recommend using Self-Care too early. You won't learn how, and more importantly when, healing a teammate (and getting yourself healed) is appropriate. It's better to rely on others, and the occasional found medkit, until you have gotten skilled in the basics. Self-Care is too easily abused and will give you a sense of immortality that will backfire horribly at higher Ranks. I personally don't use it at all, even at Rank 1-5. It's a slot that could be better taken up by something else, especially since you can get free heals from your teammates.

A question on the dedicated servers. Currently, I don't have a decent net connection, but I have 0 problems playing Survivor. I'll get a rare lag pocket against the Doctor when he shocks multiple people. Just a quick hitch. I cannot play Killer though without issues obviously. 4 people connecting to me just nukes my connection.
Will the dedicated servers allow me to play Killer now? Plan on upgrading my connection eventually, but other things take priority atm. If I can play Survivor now without issue, and as long as there's a server reasonably nearby (East Coast US so I figure definitely), I should be okay playing as a Killer on a dedicated?
-
Make sure you are checking your pips back at the Campfire. It'll say you depipped in the post-game screen, but not when you hit Leave or Upgrade. Have not had an actual depip occur personally, but frequently I don't get any BP and I think you're supposed to get at least 5k. Usually end up with the safety + no BP when the Killer DCs.
-
Most Hex Perks vs an SWF team are going to be useless. Unless you run Haunted Ground to balance it a bit. Most Hex Perks at high ranks are extremely high risk with moderate reward period. I personally wouldn't use them myself (######### that RNG on placement), but if they actually changed them so that none of them glowed except for the Killer, it might be worthwhile.
I've been playing against a lot of Killers who aren't even using Ruin. Gens get done a bit faster, but they have that extra slot for another more useful Perk. Can put some good pressure on gens if you aren't playing Defend the Totem and are using something else to assist. Against 2-man or solo of course. Most of the lobbies I join are this. Maybe a 3-man at times, but usually it's a 2-man with another solo.

Let people use what they want, simple.
I am not saying don't use it. I am saying don't pretend it's not OP.
It's not. When you use it you make a lot of noise and gives to the killer a clue of where are you at. Are you sick of that perk? Use Thanatophobia and Franklin's Desmise.
Read the main post. I can work around SC just fine as killer. I analysed it from a survivor's perspective and concluded that it supplements lack of survivor skill. Regardless of whether the killer is skilled enough to counter it it makes the game unfair. You have to face the killer not let your perks do it.
I swear it's like nobody can read anything longer than 2 lines.
I don't think it's a matter of not being skilled enough. There's been enough times that my teammates refused to heal me up that I'm tempted to make it part of my loadout. I normally don't, preferring to use that slot for something more beneficial such as We'll Make It, BT or UE.
Really, it's more of a Skilled Suvivor Perk imo. You have to be skilled enough to lose the Killer for enough time to use it, and it takes a long time to fully heal. Either that or you have to be skilled enough to lose the Killer, or provide a worse target, after an unhook to use it as well. n00b Survivors will mostly have it be a wasted slot since they'll never really be in a position to utilize it.
Overall, I'd rank it in with BBQ, NOED, etc etc. Each one is useful in specific circumstances, but they aren't active the entire match like Whispers for example. Definitely roughly the same in terms of power and usefulness. imo at least.

godlike? Literally you dont even have to kill anyone to pip or earn a ######### ton of points so i dont see the point in hating SWF groups.
Ok, we found the issue. You like playing the partyclown.
I actually want to play the KILLER.
Pips are punishment, since ranking up only make matches worse for killer.
And bloodpoints are just a sideproduct to keep up with all the stuff I need to use.
If you can't kill, you are a pointpiniata for the survivor and not a threat.
No I just wanna have fun and play the game for fun.
Also, if you kill everyone quickly now you don't double pip, there is a disparity between the roll you play as killer and the pip conditions. Pipping isn't winning, it is pipping. Pipping used to be based off of hooks and kills, but not anymore.
Glad it's not based on hooks and kills anymore. So many newbie trash Killers would camp just so they could pip. Not sure how bad it is in the lower ranks, but I haven't hit many camping Killers lately, so maybe that change was a good thing.
Killers should be able to choose what lobbies they want to play. I'd much rather this than having them DC at the start of a match or mid-match because some toxic buttholes want to play laser tag with them instead of playing the game. Too much selfishness and ego at times.
-
They shouldn't be lit at all. Every totem on the map should be dull. That Hex is a personal thing between the Killer and the Entity and should not be noticeable by the Survivors. Give them something to do other than gens. Isn't that what Survivors are always crying about? Give us more objectives so we don't genrush? Dull those totems and that will slow the game down a bit.
-
Killers are fine being able to pick and choose lobbies. I would much rather this than lose an Offering because the Killer was forced to play with the 3 Jedi Warrior wannabes who I got stuck with as a solo queue'er. You have to click again to join another lobby? OMG!!!! THE HORRORRRRRRR!!!! THIS SHOULD BE ILLEGAL!!!!!! sigh

I've been knocked right back down quite a few times by a Killer after an unhook, and in 2 situations a self-unhook. Might just be a bug due to lag and the game not recognizing the hit at the proper time.
-
NOED is only a n00b Perk when a Survivor gets caught out being an idiot and staying in the match after the Exit Gates are powered. Then, you've just downed a n00b and are about to hook a n00b. Considering that it takes all of 60 seconds or so to completely wipe out that Perk, anyone who doesn't take the time to do so is a n00b. Salty Survivors spouting reams of bullshit in the post-game chat should be ignored.
I could see NOED being described as a Killer 2nd chance Perk, but even then it's not really the case. It's good on an endgame focused build with Blood Warden. Not necessarily a 2nd chance but a legitimate strategy. If you're using it simply to give yourself another chance... well ######### it. Who cares? How many 2nd chances do Survivors get? NOED is a high risk, high reward Perk. You won't know til that last gate is powered if it is even going to work or not.
-
I haven't seen as many people using SC lately. Might just be the matches I'm in, but DS and SC seem to be used a lot less than a few months back when I was playing. I only use it when that's the only Perk to put in a slot. Sorry, not using Dark Sense or Alert when I have a Perk that will actually help me out. I actually have played quite a few matches where no one had DS, and only 1 or 2 had SC. Sprint Burst though... that's a pretty standard Perk in most of the matches I'm in.
The new healing changes should alleviate some of the SC use/abuse or whatever. Honestly though, if a Survivor manages to juke a Killer for long enough that they can heal with Self Care, that Killer doesn't deserve the hook.
-
They stated there would be Leaderboards and such back when they laid out the Roadmap for the New Chapters. Have seen nothing about this since then, so I'm assuming they just gave up on it even though the playerbase has been asking for this for a while now.
They should set up Rank Resets as Seasonal though with a new one for each new chapter. Rather than this monthly garbage. Then you'd have to play X number of matches, or X% of your matches at certain ranks. It's disgustingly easy to Rank up right now, so actually achieveing that Rank is nothing. Managing to stay at that Rank, or higher, though would provide a decent base for rewards.
-
Bloodhound makes it easier to track all that blood they're leaking.
Nurse's Calling will work more effectively since it takes them longer to heal thus giving you more time to track them down.
Coulrophobia means even more time spent healing if they are in range of it.By itself, the slowdown helps a bit, but playing against Killers who use it I see them synergize it with one of the above for best results.
-
Thanks for the answers! Will just be getting Kate with Shards then in a week or two and pickup the Spirit from Steam. I care nothing for cosmetics, so the alternate outfits aren't an issue.
-
Both sides cry too much about the "free escape" or "free kill" which the other side didn't earn. Honestly, they should just remove the hatch. Too bad it's baked into the lore so you really can't take it out without removing that portion of it. I either swing or jump in depending on which side of it I'm on obviously. Refuse to play that stupid waiting game, and I've managed to get a few escapes in there because the Killer wasn't expecting it immediately or they lunged instead of going for the grab.
-
Without ever having played the game, Hag probably. WIth the teleport + trap placement (not knowing how easy they are to see) she sounds very OP.
Either that or Wraith. Invisible Killer? Able to decloak and smack people? Sounds like pure jumpscare nightmares. They don't mention he has the Predator shimmer and the fact it takes a little time to decloak. Much better now with the shiny new addons, but still nowhere near what he "sounds" like when described.
-
I don't play toxic, as I hate that as a Killer, but I picked up a flashlight with Plunderer's during one of the matches I was playing around with it. Just happened to be a Wraith, so he got light burned multiple times until it died. I then found another one in another chest, playing on Azarov's, and I have to admit, I was giggling like an ######### the whole match as I burned that poor Wraith constantly. The elephant noise was just too addicting.
-
There are more extremes in matches at Rank 1, that's about the only difference. When they readjusted the emblems, they made is disgustingly easy to Rank up. I should probably be around Ranks 8-5 or so, but I can't even depip playing in Rank 1 matches because the emblem system makes it too easy. I'll get rekt and depip, but then have a decent match and end up pipping. They should reward Survivors for actually Surviving and penalize them for dying in a match. Just watching my own matches, I almost always score better when I die than when I actually survive.
I am a random, scrub solo queue'er. Some matches I do horrible and get killed out quick, other times I'll do great and carry the team out the exit gates. I see a lot more 4k or 0k matches at the high ranks than I did when I was playing in the purples. There it was a lot of 1-2k or 2k-3k. 4k sometimes, rarely a 0k. Just feels like Rank 1 the matches are either pretty easy or really vicious. Not a whole lot of the challenging ones that feel good to survive in or at least help your teammates escape.
I really think the emblem system should be rebalanced to make it harder to Rank up. Right now it's aimed way too casual.
-
When I started playing, picked up the DLC at the time (Hag, Doctor, Shape) since it was on sale. Played Survivor for a bit, didn't like it much. Tried out Killer and got into a conversation with the Survivors after a match I played as the Shape. They said noone ever played Hag. Tried her out and loved the gameplay. Over a year later, she's even better and I wish I had the time to devote to playing her, but need to get those Prestiges first. So she sits at P3 L50 until I finish up my list of P3s to complete.
-
We'll Make It and Lithe I use as soon as I get them. I'll sometimes run Kindred (2 or 3), Botany Knowledge/SC as a pair, Urban Evasion, Plunderer's, Open Handed in conjunction with Kindred 3, Empathy. Depends on what I feel like doing. WGLF I use when playing full Doctor mode with WMI, Botany, Empathy. So I can heal people, get those unhooks, and not be a dick about farming WGLF stacks. Normally try to take a medkit too for those times you need seriously fast healing.
I'm still working on Prestiges for my Survivors though, so mostly it's up to RNGesus to decide my loadout. Currently using SC, SB, Kindred 2, and We'll Make It as I level my Laurie since that's the best build I can make out of the scrap I have. Dislike SB, but I have no other exhaustion Perks so might as well use it.

I've heard good things about all those perks but I'm a bit confused as to how Monitor and Abuse helps Huntress to be honest. It doesn't effect the humming radius. Is it because of her smaller terror radius? I thought the humming radius would still be a giveaway.
The humming radius isn't affected, but reducing the TR means Survivors get a nasty surprise if they're trying to figure out how far away you are. They'll have the humming going on, and think you're a good bit further away than you really are. I've gotten quite a few hatchets in on Survivors crouched down somewhere, or hiding behind a tree because they thought I wasn't as close as I was. Helps for going in for that melee hit too when you run out of hatchets.
I haven't gotten it yet on my Clown, but going to try it out and see how well it does there as well. I have seen some interesting Billy builds using it as well as the noise reductions for the chainsaw. Silent Billy is rare, but the couple times I've played against one were pretty nasty trying to adjust to it.

I always had my best matches as a Hag on the Swamp. Her small size and traps are a big advantage there. As far as corn blindness goes... I have to say "git gud" even while I cringe at myself. All you need to do is pay attention to the corn moving and look for the off colors, and no Survivor will ever lose you in there. If you're looking at the ground and following their scratches, that's on you. Need to adjust your vision. Plenty of Killers I've faced have no problems tracking me down in there, and a good Billy in the corn is pretty terrifying.
As far as the new map is concerned, if you're losing Survivors while they're running, then you need to work on your own skills. I've personally had Killers lose track of me, but only when I crouched down and stopped moving after breaking LoS. The bamboo addition is a fantastic one imo. It might be a bit thick in places, but it provides chances for the Survivors to actually break off and make the Killer lose LoS rather than pallet loop for days. I much prefer this as I refuse to loop, and having anything that gives me a chance to get all immersed is a pleasure.
The one good thing about the Swamp map, and I have used those Offerings playing as a Killer many times, is Totem placement. Most people crowd the middle, and a lot of spawns are near the edges, so you have a much better chance of having them last more than the usual 10-20 seconds into a match. In any event, each map has its own particular issue from both sides and it's up to the person at the keyboard to adapt to those issues and make them irrelevant.
I hate The Game playing as Survivor or Killer, but most of that is from unfamiliarity. It rarely gets chosen by RNGesus to allow me to get experience on it. Doesn't mean it's a bad map on either side, I just don't know it very well. I do wish they would weight the newer maps for the first month though. Would be nice to play on Yamaoka more often than when I burn an Offering for it.

Afk is far better and I never troll an afk killer, I might run near them for points and hopefully give them some blood points to spend. But I don't do it long enough that they'll pip out of it.I know a few that do it and I won't ever troll them since sometimes they get a map they don't like and so i'll try and rush objectives as fast as possible so they don't have to wait.
For the ones that go in and try and troll them and get besmented you do that at your own peril and I've watched 3 people get basemented that way.
I just kept doing gens powered the gates and that was that.
Lol. I saw this happen on Autohaven Blood Lodge once. Basement spawned in the Lodge, Killer sat down there and watched the chest. Didn't do anything at all above ground, but anyone who went into the Basement and tried to take his treasure got hooked. A 2-man SWF + 1 other solo queue like myself went down into there and didn't come back. I did 4 gens, broke the totems, picked up a bit of Boldness from being in the TR and walked out with 18k BP. I was laughing so hard in post-game because the others got all salty from the meme.
-
I'd much prefer a Killer to derank by AFK'ing. I wouldn't troll or hold the game hostage personally, but I'm sure there are a few people who would in that instance. DC'ing means I lose my Offering and waste time that I could have spent better in another match. When you burn a BPS or Cake, and the Killer DCs, it really frustrates and angers you. Much better to AFK imo. I'll hit the gens, scout for totems, maybe get some Bold points playing in the TR, and call it a match.
-
Cash grab ftw! If they had concentrated on bug/glitch fixes, and maybe adding some variety to the map, they would have had a pretty good game. Instead they focused on DLC and adding skins. Stupid way to develop a game if you care about its longevity, imo at least. I took one look at the gameplay (actually looked interesting), then read up a bit about it. Definitely not worth money on it.
-
Terrotorial Imperative (spelling?). Huntress Perk. Let's you see the Aura, and get a sound notification, when you are a certain distance from the Basement and a Survivor enters it. Can be good for a build based on Basement Camping/Patrolling, maybe including Monstrous Shrine and Insidious. Not very useful though overall.
It does have its moments though. First time playing through as the Huntress I used it a bit. Caught quite a few people out since it's never expected. Low/Middle Ranks though. At High Ranks, 8+, it's most likely a wasted slot right next to Third Seal.
-
Lol. I love seeing complaints about hatch standoffs. The 20 minutes you waited would've been a full match, or possibly two, to get BP + pips. Instead you are willing to stand there twiddling your thumbs to deny someone a couple K BP and maybe get a chance at a double pip. Ridiculous investment for minimal gain. Hit em and move on.
I do wish they'd implement closing the hatch and requiring another generator to be popped before it reopens. Or else the Survivor needs to do a couple "hard" skillchecks to reopen it. It grates to give someone a "free" escape, but I'd much rather go on to the next match since I've already won this one.
-
Third Seal is effective at low Ranks against non-SWF Survivors. Like a lot of other Perks. If there is no voice communication, Third Seal can actually be really nasty. Especially when combined with something like Knockout. Can turn a game into a steamrolling curbstomp for the Killer. But again, that's against non-SWF without voice comms.
-
I won't DC to give someone the hatch, but I'll stop struggling when they find it and give the universal sign that they are about to escape. Teabag mania ftw! DC'ing is kinda foolish though. No BP, depipped, and add a notch on the DC softban line. I'd rather see someone escape though, so giving up on the hook when they find the hatch is reasonable.
Slugging is a legitimate tactic and should just be accepted. There's plenty of opportunity to block it by playing smart and healing/decoying as needed. If you aren't keeping an eye on your teammates, sucks to be you when you're the last one standing and 3 others are either dead or creeping along the ground bleeding out.
-
I run Kindred 3 frequently on my Survivors. Usually ends up as a good choice, but those times I watch 3 SWF teammates completely ignore me on the hook because I'm not on their Discord makes me regret it. A bit less selfishness and a bit more smart playing will make the game a whole lot better overall. Especially when I spectate them afterwards and watch them get rekt because they only have 3 people in the match now and the Killer wasn't Camping.
-
I think part of the problem is that Killers DC for the same stupid reasons that Survivors DC. They got outplayed. I know how horrible it is facing a 4-man SWF squad, but Killers do have the option pre-match to dodge it and move on to the next. It's one of the reasons I would love either an SWF indicator or a BP boost for the Killer. It would prevent a lot of the DCs, imo at least. It's just tough to know who is SWF and who isn't right now, unless you want to spend the time to check Profiles (If they aren't private) and figure it out. That is stupid imo because you shouldn't have to do that just to get a decent game.
Both sides of the game DC for ridiculous reasons, and it boils down to them not being able to accept that they either lost the match or got outplayed. Survivors do DC a whole lot more though. Most of the Killer DCs I see are due to Map Offerings, very rare they'll DC towards the end of the match. Survivors will DC because they got downed, found first, DS skillcheck miss, bad flashlight save, misdropped pallet, "oh no, it might be a Mori" etc etc. If more people were willing to just suck it up and keep on with the match though, you might see less toxic behavior rather than more. Be good sports about it all, and remember that the next match is about 3 clicks away so it's not the end of the world.

So.. this thread talks about killer entitlement.. but survivors are the ones who DC because they missed DS or couldn't get Deliverance to work or disconnect because they got outplayed or disconnect to keep their items.. the list goes on.. Killers have to take what they can get while the survivors think they have the privilege to get everything they want..Yes... Been like this for a long time...
No one should be DC'ing at all except for emergencies. If you want to be selfish and DC because you don't like the map, offerings, Meg's hair, be prepared to pay for it later. I won't rescue people who I have seen do things like this. Let them die on the hook since they were useless in prior matches anyways. That goes for the stupid "Wah wah! I just missed my DS skillcheck! I need my mommy!" DCs that happen. Suck it up and play the match out. Not everything in life is fun, fair, or balanced. You might actually learn something other than how to feed your sad, little ego.
Killers get their opportunity to lobby dodge, so them DC'ing is pretty stupid imo. I don't mind a dodge because I know how nasty it can get at higher Ranks. They do get their opportunity though pre-match, and I'd rather them do it there than waste my Offerings for whatever reason. I'll just queue up again and get my 5 second matchmaking. Solo queue makes for extremely quick match finding.
-
It also happens when you don't pressure the Killer too much. I've had matches where the Killer didn't find a single person for the first 90 seconds of a match. 2 generators done, others progressed a good bit, and not a single chase has been initiated. Good Killers will find their first victim within 30 seconds or so, frequently within the first 15-20 seconds. When you haven't initiated a chase in more time than it takes a single Survivor to complete a gen, don't be upset they just gen rushed you into an early grave. This is at Rank 8 and better btw.
As much as it pains me to say it, Survivors dictate the pace of the game. If they go in hellbent on doing gens and getting out, that's what is going to happen. Unless they make a mistake. If they go in a bit more casual and want to get a "good" match in, then that is what will happen and is the best time for a Killer to get their 3-4k because there is more time for a Survivor to make a mistake.

Then they teabag a time or two and hop back on a generator. So amusing to suddenly pop T2 or T3 and then grab them off it. Not every Killer who is standing there watching you is a friend!
Anyone who pretends to farm, then just kills everyone is pretty trashy. I don't know how difficult it is to play Killer on the ps4, but that's about scraping the bottom of the barrel. But really, you can't trust any Killer. Just like Survivors, they're out to do their "job" and get some phat BP as well. You have to expect anything from them, just like Survivors will do whatever they can for an advantage. It's the way the game is played. It might be toxic and low, but if it's in the game there is nothing you can really do about it. Looked at from the Killer's angle, it's a pretty damn good strategy.
"Strategy"? OMG...
I can't see how it's a "strategy" in any way. To gain the trust of s.o. just to finish them off after being satisfied. That's not only toxic behavior, that is what you find in the mind of psychopaths/sociopaths.
I think that is sick...
They are playing as the killer. Please enlighten me on how a psychotic killer isn't sick.
After all, the Clown for example, sounds sick in more ways than one.
I never said that a psychotic Killer wasn't sick.
I'm playing as a Killer, too and many others I know but for Bloodpoints. It's much easier and faster to get them as a Killer.
Playing a Killer on dbd is not necessarily sick.
But I understand that point with the Clown.
You have to admit though it is a good strategy. Twisted, warped, and inherently ######### up, but a good strategy. Most Survivors love those relaxed games where a Killer isn't trying for a 4k. The ones where you get great BP, but the push to compete isn't that great. To take that and turn it around on the Survivors and get a 4k out of it... toxic AF, pretty damn nasty, but a really good strategy.
Definitely not something I would do personally, as I don't even bother to camp, tunnel, or whatever buzzword is the feelsbadman thing of the month, but I can chuckle and say "Yeah, that worked out nicely didn't it?" to a slick bit of planned nastiness from another person.
-
Iridescent Heads are really OP IF the Huntress has great aim. Otherwise, you can still dodge them. Having only 3 hatchets (with a MIlitary Belt) will cause mediocre Huntresses to have a pretty bad match since they'll waste them.
I hate playing against them as a Survivor, but I won't DC. Just have to try harder to dodge and force her to waste them. They are an Ultra-Rare and should be treated as such. When I use them on my Huntress, I tend to ease up because they feel so powerful. Teabagging SWFs though get the full treatment of course.
-
Good luck if you haven't made it yet. I just hit Rank 1 Survivor for the first time last night, so I feel your pain. My build(s) were We're Gonna Make It, Kindred, Lithe, and Urban Immersion or SC depending on the character.
-
If they're nearby, I'll take a look and see if they are actually signalling the camp or if they're just impatient. Go back to what I was doing when I hear the heartbeat or see the Killer. Too many people jerk and twist on the hook because they want saved immediately instead of just chilling for a bit and being patient.
-
I will most of the time if some idiot farms me for WGLF tokens or just does a horrible rescue. I normally at least try, even when my teammates are doing stupid things, just because I want at least some Bloodpoints.
If someone comes racing in with the Killer on their heels, no borrowed time, and just rips me off the hook, I'll usually crouch there and wait til the Killer has time to down me and hook me. If I'm in the Struggle phase, I'll usually let go about 2-3 steps before they reach me just so I can appreciate the view of them getting smacked by the Killer before I head to the Entity's embrace.

Emblem system is a joke. Just hit Rank 1 Survivor for the first time, and not a single loop was run. I was happily middle of the rankings prior to it getting adjusted, and now I get to be in ridiculous matches where I have no fun at all. Thanks Devs!
There go my plans for trying to learn to juke, mindgame, and actually lose the Killer. Now I have to be a looping, jungle gyming, teabag flashlighting idiot. sigh

I always find it amusing when playing against people as Michael. I'll start Stalking them, they begin to run away and then turn back because I'm not chasing.

There's a idea kicking around that they should just do away with the levels on a perk. So if you see a perk for the first time, it will have it's level 3 values and that's the only time you have to pick it up in the web.I so want that to be a thing so bad.....
This would be very bad. There are some Perks, Devour Hope for instance, that can be extremely useful at level 1 instead of a higher level. I like the Tiered Perks personally, as they give me a nice selection of builds to use. It also forces you to not use the usual "crutch" Perks that people always whine about.
As far as stuff like BBQ and whatnot goes, I'll check out the Rarity of various Perks as I'm leveling, and if I see a Perk of the same rarity in my Web, I'll grab that first. Rank 1 of BBQ is Yellow, so if I haven't seen it yet, I'll make sure I grab any Yellow Perk first before I take another if I have a choice of them. It bumps BBQ up in the "queue" and gives it a better chance of appearing. At least that's how it's been happening for me.
I'm still working on Prestiging all of my Killers, only have Hag at P3 atm, but I don't really see that much of a grind tbh. I also don't really care a whole lot about my Perks until I've gotten a character to P3. WGLF and BBQ on either side is something I aim for of course, those BP gains are so much better, but if they don't appear, so be it. I'm sure I'll get them eventually just by working my way up and being patient.

You would need to add some weaknesses as well. Maybe limit Claudettes vision in some fashion (auras or whatever), Meg might be bad at skill checks with a reduced arc, etc etc. Would need to be balanced in some fashion just like the Killers are with different movement speeds to make up for their abilities. I really can't see them revisiting every Survivor and giving them a buff/malus that is lore friendly and in character for them. Would be a tremendous amount of work for limited gain imo.
Most people would play anyone who had a boosted running speed in any event because of looping. Who would care about healing when you aren't getting caught? You might have some SWFs who specialize with X person being a Medic and Y person being the taunter/runner, but most solo queue'ers would just pick the one who could survive easiest unless they were doing something similar to RP'ing.

Survivors should just have passive Borrowed Time when unhooked by a teammate in front of the Killer. Then there would be no issue with Invincibility Frames. Yet another new buzzword(s) for people to get their panties in a bunch with proclaiming its unfairness.
This is going to end up as just another camping whine issue. How do you stop Killers from camping? You do gens.... How do you stop Survivors from not taking a hit when you swing? You wait a second or two.... Simple in explanation, apparently horrendously difficult to actually implement.

Prevents people from having a P3 maxed out Killer on Day 1 of release as well. At least this way, they are limited to only level 37'ish, depending on how many Dailies they've saved as well, so people aren't getting steamrolled by Perked out new Killers before they have a chance to learn and adapt.

Hag is my absolute favorite. The Spirit's ranks up there though just because of how animated it is. Hope to see more like this in the future.
The Clown's is... meh at best. There's no really good blood splatter or sound effect for the curbstomp, and while the finger sucking is pretty creepy, it just doesn't have enough effect to make the Mori good enough imo. Add some solid bone crunching sounds, and maybe a bit of blood spurting out, and this one will be much better.
I do hope they revisit some of the early ones like Trapper/Wraith. Simply because they should get a little love being the older Killers in the game. Only reason I do enjoy their Moris is because I rarely ever see them happen. Always get the Billy/Nurse ones, so they aren't as special to me.
