  • Yeah, I saw what's inside the tape and now I am shooked. If you ever wanted to see a naked jelly belly, give it a try.

The frustration in this game is explained in 3 words: gen rush, tunneling, camping.

no, my frustration is going to second stage even with Kindred and getting a skill check right when I let go of a gen, alerting the Killer of my presence because I am so nice.

Pig also used to have a unique TR of 28m. (Or 26m. I can’t quite remember which).

Yeah it was 28 metres. Hag also used to have a 28 metre TR until they made it "cOnSiStEnT" with all the speeds in this game.

Since Pig is 4.6 m/s, her TR got increased to 32 m.

Since Hag is 4.4 m/s, her TR got reduced to 24 m.

  • I think her power doesn't need a rework, just tweaks. I kinda played her alot the past few days for some reason even though I don't really enjoy her, but I wanted to give her a try.

    Issue 1:

    • Not sure how to fix this personally since it is latency related. Her Purge sometimes doesn't hit the Survivor even though it visually hits the model, there is the same issue with Slinger where the spear goes right trough Survivors. Not sure how to fix that personally but it makes her very frustrating to play.

    Issue 2:

    • Her projectile speed is to slow, make it faster. I am not sure how fast it is right now because I didn't find any numbers, but it is definitely to slow. Survivors have so much time to get around corners, duck at loops or short walls etc.

    Issue 3:

    • Her pools are scattered to much on the outside of the map. There is the same issue with Trapper were traps are scattered to much on the outside of the map. While traps are easily fixable, I think pools have the same spawnpoints as cages and clocks so it's probably not as easy in the case of pools. But if there is a possibility to put the pools more in the center, that would help a lot.

She doesn't need major reworks or anything, but solving those 3 issues would make her a lot more fun and consistent gameplaywise, but that's just my opinion.

Idk about restraint but discipline and range together is definitely pretty busted. The other ones are meh. They have nice effects but I wouldn't say they did anything significant. And I still don't know how Drey plays that much Doctor and doesn't get bored. 5 years of playing basically only 1 killer's gotta get old at some point.

That's what I also said. I regurarely used "Disc. + Electrodes" and when I switched to addonless I felt lost. This combo makes Doctor so good and it feels so weird playing without them after playing with them for so long.

  • Probably won't happen. The Devs would have never released a Killer like Nurse at this time. She was released back in 2016 where the game was full of bullshirt.

But now the game is somewhat balanced, she needs the slow movement speed to compensate for her power. As much as I like her, but she is broken.

    Remember the norm:

    • Killers who move at 4.6 m/s / 32 metre TR
    • Killers who move at 4.4 m/s / 24 metre TR

Exceptions would be Huntress, she is also weird. She has a lullaby but a 20 metre TR but also moves at 4.4, in some way, she also ignores the norm because of complications.

And there is Myers as another exception, but that's probably for ambient reasons. They wanted to make him similar to the movies.

Nurse moves at 3.85 m/s with a 32 metre TR. There is a reason she is so slow and ignores the norm that much, she is broken and you can't really fix her to the norm without changing her power. Even 4.4 m/s Nurse would be busted.

I don't think they'll ever release another Killer with that much power as Nurse.

My favorite skill checks are the ones that pop up right as a survivor is hooked. I always forget and get thrown by them so when it's one of the quick skill checks I miss it pretty often

I don't mind those tbh. I still hear them over the "hooked" sound. But those skill checks which appear when I leave a gen make me wanna..... enter Blood Fury in real life.

  • Weren't you the one who always said he was sick of being found within 10 seconds of the match?

Probably didn't age well since you use this build xD. But it kinda looks tempting to be honest. Making no sounds and leaving no blood while also walking faster seems kinda legit.

I started using Technician since for some reason in the past 3 days, everytime I want to let go of a gen, magically a skill check appears and blows up the gen, giving away my position. I almost went insane yesterday when it happened to me 3 times in one match and got me on a hook 2 times because of it. I guess I'll play with Technician for a few days now.

100% agree with you, I had to use ghosty shroud not as often and mostly for early game and stalking survivors that thought they were safe but I personally found him way easier than Myers in certain situations.

Trapper without bags was absolute hell for me since most of the time I use bags/sacks, so I had to set up 1 or 2 and the rest when I was close and if I was close to them, that buff that you suggest would be amazing if it was a thing, there were maps that I had to play machete man.

And yeah not that many killers "need" addons and sometimes they are nice but not really needed.

Yeah, I understand that Add-ons, especially good ones can be tempting. If I wanted I could use Scalped Topknot Oni every match because the Add-on feels nice, but I force myself to not be Add-on dependent.

I had this issue with Doctor. I always used shock range and the reworked Discipline when it came out. The shorter delay with extra range was just to good to not use it and then I started playing him addonless as well. It was hell. I realized that using or especially learning a Killer while using Add-ons to much is a big mistake.

Now, everytime a Killer comes out I instantly play basekit and get used to addonless and when I grasp the Killer, then I start using Add-ons.

  • Every Killer's basekit is fine except Trapper and maybe Ghostface. I am not including Wraith anymore since he will be decent at base with the new update.

For Ghostface: Reduce his Shroud Recovery down to 20 seconds.

For Trapper: Give him Trapper Bag basekit.

He starts with 2 Traps and can carry 3, give him 2 more traps in total so he can play with 8 traps instead of 6 and make the traps spawn more in the center of the map instead of the corners.

I mainly play without Add-ons and I do very well with every other Killer, sometimes I tend to use some. I don't think any other Killer needs Add-ons.

  • People like Perks they can use by their own. Leader is a very passive Perk. If I use it, others benefit from it but for myself it's practically useless. That's why no one runs it.

  • It took me 2 days to do this fricking challenge and today I finally got it thx to one man.

Otz. I played against him earlier and in this match I got this stupid challenge... finally.

  • Okay, it was just one bugfix where you now can't lose progress after custom matches.

  • The chase theme is supposed to sound like modified screams of his victims. He recorded his victim's screams, put some instruments between it and added them into his Magnum Opus.

The sounds in his chase theme are screams so it does make sense with his lore and I personally find him now a lot more terrifying after reading the lore, because his chase theme makes so much sense and is so distorted and disturbing.

He is actually playable now, they just need to fix the camera shaking while in rush.

They added that intentionally, he does those big steps from the Survivor PoV as well.

  • He now feels like an actual monster, also the limping during a Rush. He doesn't feel like a Goblin anymore.

  • Cows are cute, but I absolutely adore thos little fellas.

    image.png

  • Hah, silly you. I am already bald.

(Actually I am not, but I still wanted to make the joke)

  • Also the bug where chests open by themselves. I try to spread damage and hit that guy who opened the chest as well but nvm, the chest jebaited me.

  • Is it Conchita Wurst with blue hair?

  • Undying Hope can be especially good on Ghostface since with 3 Tokens he doesn't have to stalk anymore. He now just sneaks up and oneshots you.

I also had an idea for a GF Build.

    1. Pop

    2. Trail Of Torment

    3. Dragon's Grip

    4. Corrupt

If you have Trail up you can use this to stealth yourself, as soon as someone touches it, they become exposed, you lose Undetectable BUT now you use Shroud to sneak up on the exposed Survivor.

You can also change Pop for Mindbreaker, it works decent on stealth Killers. But I almost think Pop is better.

Mindbreaker would be good on a build with Ruin/Undying. They let go earlier cuz they want their Exhaustion, now the gen regresses.

  • Outplaying constantly in a chase is a win. Sometimes I can 4k with Killer, but not being satisfied at all because my chases were bad.

If I am outplaying constantly during chases, I don't care if it's a 4k, 2k or 1k. I still see it as a win for myself because I did well in chases and outplayed while Survivors were holding M1 well enough.

  • Yeah, 4.5.2 is pretty refreshing. Quite a lot of fixes, most annoying bugs since last patch are fixed. Hud and movement are good now, especially the movement feels smooth again.

I just can't get over how they sometimes mess up so badly and sometimes they do such nice things. If they would keep on doing great then it would be awesome.

  • Congrats!

I am done with all my Killers except Ghostface. But he still has 47 Puddings and 6 BPS so I first want to spend the majority before I prestige.

In the meanwhile I do my Survivors, but Survivor is optional for me. My main goal was to finish all my Killers.

  • I wish Mystery Boxes were more common. They are a cool concept. I loved when they gave you like 5 to 7 Mystery Present Boxes during Christmas. I wish those will come back and also at Easter. At Easter they could make like Egg Boxes or something idk.

I like looting/leveling something unknown and get surprised with what's inside.

That's why I also love Plunderer's/Ace in the Hole. It surprises you every time.

  • Clown Mains. He is rough to do well with. Weak against stronger teams. I usually do well with him as well but I know that my bottle throws suck arse. I couldn't play Clown match after match after match after match.

I also respect Pyramid Head Mains, gotta love my fellow Pyramid Head Mains.

  • I don't hear anyone complain about Pyramid Head. I think most people are happy when they see one. PH players are like the biggest chads in this game.

Deathslinger there are 2. The skillslingers who always shoot and do really fancy shots or those who spam M2 to gain distance for an M1. I don't agree with the M2 spam into M1.

  • 1. Pyramid Head (my main since months. He is hella fun to play as and against. His chase music is bad ass even though it was better in PTB. I started maining him shortly after they made some changes after the Blight Midchapter)

    2. Deathslinger (I just like the collab between Shooter and dbd, it's so much fun to play CS:Daylight. Nah, but getting some really fancy shots is very satisfying.)

    3. Oni (BAM BAM BAM. Nothing more to say.)

    4. DemoPls (I don't know why, but shredding all the time and hitting the shreds from some unexpected angles feels so nice.)

    5. Spirit (I like to have something different. And she is, she relies more on sounds than sight and I started to quite enjoy playing against her as well. I started to use certain Mindgames to throw her off and it works pretty consistently.)

  • Survivors Kate. I switched from Meg to Kate cuz I think Kate is cooler from look and everything. I still play the occasional Meg.

As Killer. Pyramid Head and Deathslinger. My second Main switches from time to time but Pyramid Head is my Main since months now. He feels very rewarding when played well and you can do some really scary and nasty stuff when you master his PotD attack. I don't use the Trails to much outside of chase cuz I think it's not that worth it.

And Deathslinger is also extremely fun for me recently. Getting some really cool shots feels very satisfying. You are not always guaranteed a down but I accepted this and now I try some fancy stuff with him. Sometimes when I know that I won I will purposely just use my gun to get downs to practice some even better shots.

Gun Fact: Yesterday I played Caleb, I 12 hooked won the game, let one even wiggle out instead of slugging cuz there was no hook. I purposely used my gun instead of M1 and even if I missed, I just reloaded and used my gun still.

They still called me a tryhard pussy Killer, while it was the most chill match since long ago for me.

  • I hope Haddoncrap is next. It doesn't just need a visualy update (looking at you paper trees and Uran fences) it needs a complete tile rework.

They managed it with Ormond so they can do it with Haddonfield too. Just make more holes into the middle map fences and remove corner fences completely and remove some god windows from the houses.

Also, house of pain should have stairs similar to Badham where you cannot see trough the stairs, creating at least a bit of a mindgame.

It's stupid on how you have to base your whole build around helping yourself because your teammates are practically useless.

    Oh well.

Yeah I now started using Self Care/Botany because frick teammates. It's less wasted time than getting healed by someone because 2 don't do anything for 16 seconds. That way only I am useless only for around 24 seconds.

Dude, most red ranks aren't that good anyway. Unless you play in EU.

I play in EU too and 80 % of my matches consist of averages or potatoes. Just because a certain streamer said that "EU" is stressful doesn't mean it is certainly like that, some people just overreact if they lose once.

  • No, it's purpose to not hear the Survivor at all after getting blinded. If the loud chase music wasn't enough, let's add another sound when blinded so that you cannot track Survivors at all, giving them even more escape chances.

  • I switched from being a Meg Main to being a Kate Main. She is pretty (i know it has nothing to with gameplay).

But yeah, both their Perks are pretty trash.

Kates Windows of Opportunity can be very helpful, Dance with me is only decent if combined with which strengthens it (Lithe, Quick and Quiet) and Boil Over is crap.

Yui's Any Mean's necessary is also decent and ironically a pretty good combo if combined with Kates "Windows of Opportunity". Lucky Break is imo a wasted Perk slot and Breakout is only decent if combined with a sabo build.

They 2 have quiet the similarities, but I'd go for Kate. She also has more nice skins. But I like both, but Kate is quite better imo, it comes down to what you prefer more because Kates look and sounds is what made me chose her (big words from someone who is more oriented to the male gender). As a bi, I'd actually date a real life Kate.

  • @ASurvkillivorer said:

    ah god thats even worse.

I would rather not have that tiny little aura ability if its going to essentially TELL survivors. Hey look they're running Undying and you don't see ruin or lullaby better start searching totems!!

    So lame...

I actually love new Undying and it's 4 metre Aura range. I played PH yesterday and during the spawn phase I already saw 2 Survivors thanks to Undying, so I immediately knew where to go.

Also, taking time cleansing totems for a potential Devour takes away so much time and gives the Killer much momentum. Both might be gone early (I actually played alot of matches with Undying Hope and I always got my instadowns and almost always at least one kill, which is huge momentum.)

  • The bus on Autohaven is bugged where Survivors can get trough and Killers can't. (Don't ask why they didn't disable Swamp when the same glitch occured.)

And on Crotus Prenn (Asylum Map) I think they disabled it because the Main Building is almost not blinkable trough as Nurse and also the Greenouse has no collision, so you could just go trough the wall there.

  • I was like:"What? Does Trapper have a foot fetish?"

  • Yeah, I've got a rival the one match I lootes chests but I still got it thanks to Appraisal, which surprised me since it says "unlock 6 chests"

  • @Zeus said:

Devs are finding as many ways as they can to ruin undying.

Haha that's funny because they ruined "Ruin/Undying"

    Ok I'll go....

  • Nah, I played on Coldwind right now and I got hit while being 2 metres away from the Killer while vaulting a window.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/225185/remember-when-legion-used-to-apply-sloppy-on-power

Wait so sloppy works on legion now? Does it also work on Blight and Oni and huntress hatchets?

No, Legion has an Add-On which makes Survivors mangled for 60 seconds when they get Frenzy Hit. They made Mangled permanent now, which means the Add-On doesn't have the 60 second timer anymore, making Legion basically how he was when Sloppy applied on Frenzy hits.

  • I like Pyramid Head's animation. Not really the animation on it's own, but the sound the sword makes when he puts it into the ground after the animation. It sounds so satisfying, and I always move my camera along with the animation to make it feel even more satisfying.

  • No, a counterpart for DS would be a Killer Perk that let's you regress a gen to 0 no matter how much progress it has. But such a Perk doesn't even exist while current DS does. Both would be second chance/anti momentum.

Ruin regresses gens at half the repairing speed. Ruin has the potential to be the strongest slowdown Perk but on it's own it's so harmless since it can be destroyed so easily while DS can not. Undying was the problem since with bad luck you had to destroy Ruin 4 times and that was a bit to much. Now it gurantees 1 extra life which is neat but not gamebreaking.

DS will also be a lot healthier with the changes. Only entitled Survivor Mains would say otherwise. Same with Object. In solo, it isn't that big of a problem but still annoying, in SWF, Object is completely broken. But how do you know if you are playing vs Solo or SWF? That's why it's getting changed as well.

Old Ruin was a problem and it got changed and now it's a healthy Perk.

  • Killers I mainly play: Nurse, Demo, Oni, Deathslinger, Pyramid Head, Blight.

Killers I sometimes play (daily or variety reason): Trapper, Wraith, Michael, Doc, Huntress, Spirit, Ghostface

Killers I don't really enjoy but still play sometimes: Billy, Hag, Leatherface, Clown, Legion

Killers I absolutely hate playing: Freddy, Pig, Plague, Twins

  • So after reading the comments, pretty much every Killer xD
