Yes to everything Stranger Things! Demogorgon is my favourite killer. Also, a Demo plushie would be awesome. Also a Ghostface plushie too.

I'd love to finally learn Nurse, but with matchmaking all over the place, it's a super steep learning curve, especially against a good survivor group. Not that this will stop me in the future, cause I love her design and power. It's a unique one for sure. It's just a shame there isn't an AI training or way to just have a custom lobby alone to practice

I mean, I just stand there as killer. That is two people doing nothing, easy map pressure.
I know some killers that leave the hook and go chase someone else, and maybe that is why people do it, but I'll just face camp the poor guy on hook until you move. Like I said, I wasn't mad at the nurse (a little annoyed she gave up chase to tunnel me, but not mad).

I am not worried about getting banned, I just liked the story and wanted to share. I mean we did like half a gen and then each went and opened a seperate gate... It had to be pretty upset watching us.
It was just a funny story and I wanted to share it. lol
Oh trust me, I make it known one of us is going to crack, and it isn't me as Killer haha. I let them kill their teammate for me essentially. I might get called camper for it, but I'm not the idiot that essentially let them die for the sake of a easy unhook.
-
I honestly don't see why people use this 'Hook tech' thing. Just take the hit or run away in my eyes. But, each to their own I guess.
-
Honestly, it frustrates me too, especially when it's a P3 Claudette hiding in a bush/corner of the map. I use it, but only when the other survivors have marathoned away from me and the killers close, but I also combine it with Botany so it takes less time. Otherwise, I'll try bring a Med, or find one, or hope a survivor isn't cowering in fear somewhere to heal me.
-
I'd love to see a stats page like this. On Xbox we sort of have one, but it's just basic stats like Time played, total kills, total escape, total heals, BP earned. I'd love to be able to compare to my friends stats just for the bragging rights honestly.
-
Gamertag I assume
-
You've played for pretty much 4 years and expect a refund now? Yeah, that's not happening. It's an online game, and they can freely change anything as they wish, and this does not entitle you to a refund unfortunatly.
-
I love a happy ending!
-
Oni for me. The guy literally tears out a survivors tounge then proceeds to smash their skull in. At least Myers just stabs them!
-
But, doesn't that technically counter your argument? The best killer should have no issue going against the best survivors in this case.

Survivors being bad doesn't mean a killer is op.
I didn't say that at all, and you keep making these asumptions. Kinda annoying.

If I am against Billy, I will take one for the team and die fast. I can count single handed how many times I have escaped. He is not fun to play against. That is from a rank 4, 1k plus hours gaming experience player. I am no way the best player out there, but a billy who can go from one side of the map to the other with an insta down ability is BS.
Careful, that's an unpopular opinion! I agree, but I guarantee many others won't.
-
I doubt it honestly. People are quitting killer more because of the current issue with Gens, Map size, etc. Plus, survivors like to DC on killers to deny them their challenges.

Not using a killer's power = testing your skill? 🤔 A Hillbilly that doesn't use his power = a good Hillbilly? That's what your comment sounds like.
That's not how I meant it, I just mean constantly spamming it really doesn't require much skill to take someone down. Where a mix and match is more fun to go against than just being hooked every 5 seconds.

Whether or not they get chainsawed depends on the survivor's competence, maybe this is something you're lacking?
You assume I can't dodge a Billy's chainsaw? Sure, there are times I mess up, and I'll openly admit when I do, but I can counter him when I have a good area to run him in.
-
I don't mind Billy's personally. But the ones who just chainsaw everything in sight, nope. I respect a Billy that doesn't just rely on a easy down. I've met a fair few who are fantastic to go against that really tested my skill

That's kinda what the archive is for though, no? I agree they could maybe add or change some dailies though. Just doesn't seem a worthwhile priority imo.
True, but the issue with Archives is, once they're done, they're done. Which is a shame cause I love these sorts of things. They change up gameplay and let me test new perks and builds.

The add voice chat and balance around it. The Killer is supposed to be the power role anyways, and if the Survivors decide not to use the tools available, then that is their problem. Not the Killers.
I'd love to have a F13 type system in place, where you can only hear each other, or the survivors, within a certain distance. At least if that was put into place, killers can't complain about comms anymore.

One of my biggest pet peeves with this game. I hate when people DC, especially when you are going to hook them for the third time without camping, or tunneling them. Happens about every 4 or 5 games for me. As a Killer I don't DC when they pop the 5th generator.
I don't understand what they gain from this personally. They literally sacrafice a match worth of points, just because they're losing. But if a killer does it cause they're losing, they're the ones in the wrong. Man, I don't understand people anymore!
-
I don't mind the Daily rituals, but they could change them up a little. Gets kinda stale constantly having 'Hit survivors with hatchets' or 'Blink and hit with nurse'. Add some more challenges to each character and I'd probably do them more often
-
Honestly, it's an awesome play you did. I've let myself get too occupied on a final survivor chase with one slugged, and paid the price. That's just what this Leatherface did. Clearly you hurt his pride quite a lot when he saw 3 down icons change to healthy.
-
Honestly, just learn to deal with it, or find another game. Sorry to be blunt, but this is what this whole game has become now. It's awful, but it's what many of us have to now expect as a killer.

I played a game yesterday as trapper with 2 red and 2 purple rank survivors that had scratch marks on the outer wall crouching behind trees. I got farmed by a rank 6 jake with bubba revving 3 feet behind hi, he put us both down, same game a rank 8 David was hit twice running the outer wall. I’m not sure that using the red rank example has a meaning anymore.
Honestly it most likely doesn't. I'm just going with my experiences recently on Xbox. I always get matched to god loopers in Red ranks. Makes getting out of Green ranks very tough, but I don't mind. I just wish it didn't have to be like this overall.

There's been hints to the next killer being able to break walls etc (code was found in game referencing breakable walls). People have been calling him The Smasher.
That actually sounds like an awesome killer idea if that's what they're planning. It would certainly change up chases. I honestly just want to see a killer that has a unique power, and not just another 1-hit slugfest killer.
-
I usually try sneaking away as the TR gets loud, and end up walking into him. It's kind of a 'Oh... I f'ed up!' moment as I try to run. It's pretty funny when it happens though, cause even the killer is sort of took back by it.
-
That's kind of the point of the Doctor. Madness 3 stops survivors doing anything benificial. Can't heal yourself or others, Sabo hooks, Repair Gens, Search chests or destroy totems. So why would a flashlight be able to be used? If you stopped all of the above, you just turn him into a 1 attack killer basically.
-
I had the same happen for me on Xbox last night. A survivor watched me in a chase heading for a pallet loop, but stood at the oppisite side of the pallet and blocked me. I ended up dying on hook. Proceeded to spectate and saw they did it to the others, and the killer proceeded to farm points from the assistant, and gave them hatch. Unfortunatly, DbD can't really stop you messaging a killer via Console. Not sure about PC

People who only see games as "competitive" only play to WIN, WIN, and of course, WIN. No matter if they must ruin the fun for everyone else one way or another.
And this is sad because i had so much fun games where the survivors were nice to me / i was nice to the killer. Being nice to each other, even in a "fight" is way more fun than just being sweaty all day, ready to hit that damn quit button and ready to wait 10 minutes to insult your opponent.
I will always remember that game of Clown i had (long time ago), where i did a big lot of mistakes, but ended up downing someone after 4 gens. I was about to give up, annoyed and all, and was going to facecamp that guy to death, but then i told myself "who cares" and let the guy right behind unhook him. i let them open the gates and all, and right after, they decide to do a beeline in front of the hook to cheer me up. I got some hooks, and it's all thanks to them because i was the one who ######### up, and almost came to the extremity of taking hostage the fun for one of them. And in the postchat, same, they were very nice.
If only everyone in this game could be like this. Nice to the other side, no matter if it's a win or a lose
It's stories like this that makes me keep my hope that there will always be decent players out there. I've had the same thing happen to me, with Oni. First day I bought him, I was trash. And I mean baby killer style! The survivors clearly noticed that I had no idea how to use him, and it ended up just being a great experience as they let me at least farm some points from each of them. Now, with the game as it is, I just play for the heck of it. Win or lose, I'm happy we all earned points. Winning is nice ofc, but not the goal I play for anymore.

I love playing this game, don't get me wrong, but I debate playing this game over doing something or playing another game over my free time, not that it's boring or anything like that, it's because I get constant issues from whoever I play against in a giant salt fest, I like playing casually and even competitively, but no one can suck up their pride and act like a decent normal being.
Of course they can't suck it up. Too many gamers in this day and age are so damn entitled that they must win everything they come into contact with. Nobody is allowed to just have some fun, and a laugh, or just mess around. God forbid you even attempt to hurt a survivor! Obviously there are exceptions. I've had many killers/survivors who are good sports about losing, or even if I'm losing, they kinda join in. An example would be a trapper last night. He bulldozed the team, and was offering me the hatch. I was shaking on the ground to say no, since he earned the kills, so it proceeded to him walking away shaking his head. So, I span around on the ground and he joined in. Honestly, this was the most fun I've had when losing a match. He was a great killer and so much fun to play with. I just don't understand why people can't all be like this. Accept it's a game, and just have some fun with it instead of being so damn entitled with the need to win. Of course, this won't ever happen, but I suppose we can hope.
-
It's not that it's viewed as toxic, but the fact that all Gens can be rushed through by 3 survivors, while another is in a chase. This is made worse when you have Red ranks going against Green ranked killers who just get outlooped constantly. Pair this up with Toolboxes, and boom. Killer pretty much has to bend over for them. Killers are frustrated because by the time we even manage to get a down, 3 Gens just went off, and leaves very little time to try get anyone else down when other survivors just pop them off. And the Devs still try to say that there isn't an issue with Gens, when clearly, there is. All they need to do is just increase the time it takes. Simple, but of course, that's never going to happen.

If the maps are disabled, then did you just waste offerings? Or do you get them refunded (you should, in any case)?
Directly from the Patch Notes:
Fixed an issue that caused multiple unreachable totems and pick up spots in the Springwood maps. Shortly after the 3.5.0 update, the maps were removed from the rotation because of these unfair and exploiting issues. With this bug fix in 3.5.1, the maps have now been re-enabled.
So Springwood should be re-enabled, but it clearly is not.

Most games would just ban the use of third part software to gain a competitive advantage. Yes I meant to describe that - that specific. It's really dumb that swf can do that and solo's cannot. I would see it as misuse of other software, but the dev's don't, and refuse to add voice chat to the game to give Solo's even a chance at having the same tools as a SWF. I don't even care about the Killer side, as I know for a fact that the game will become better balanced for Killers if they just added voice chat for solo survivors.
Sure many may not even use Voice Chat as a Solo, but it at least gives them availability to the same tools.
Voice chat was in the game, but was removed since it was 'Too OP', but this doesn't stop PC users using things like Discord, or Xbox/PS4 using the Party system to talk that way. No matter how you look at it, SWF can always communicate. And it's not like they can outright ban people for using party chat on Consoles since that's built-in software to the consoles. As for PC, maybe, but then at the same time, it wouldn't be fair to ban chat for PC but keep allowing Console to use their party chat. It's really a no-win situation with SWF

As much as I don't mind Moris, this is going to cause a serious backlash if we need to Mori. I Guess there's always Devour Hope, but chances are people would just Mori for it.
-
Ghostface and Demogorgon.
Ghostface, simply because he actually poses a challenge, and has tricked me many times when I thought it was a Survivor crawling over to a Gen.
Demogorgon, simply because I love his chase music, but since his FPS is god awful, I never see him anymore

It seems like a really strange coincidence. I usually get different killers each match, but I'm on Xbox, so maybe PS4 has different matchmaking mechanics?

I wouldn't be against them showing SWF groups at the END of a match, so when you see them again you know what to expect. But it should absolutely not show before the match starts. Almost every killer will end up dodging, queue times will be even longer all because people wanted to play a game with their friends. Killers already dodge of they see too many items we don't need to give them even more reasons to do so.
I agree. While SWF aren't my favourite group to go against, we don't need even more killers avoiding them. But, it does make me wonder how the skillbased matchmaking would work with SWF. Is it going to be the same as the current, where the leader is the matched rank? Either way, I'd prefer not to know if they're SWF starting out a match. It already takes me forever to get into matches with killers constantly dodging.

In the matches where no one will heal me, I probably wouldn't have had time to Self Care, anyway. Usually, either the killer is constantly on my ass and I'm screwed, or a teammate heals me. Not always: sometimes I'm going around searching chests desperately for a med kit, but I'd rather not encourage myself to get dependent on Self Care. I prefer Iron Will, which is handy in a pinch and doesn't proc Nurse's Calling.
Huh, never knew Iron Will did that. More reason for me to finally start leveling Jake!

As a survivor, the only thing that annoys me more than seeing a teammate off Self-Caring is seeing multiple teammates off Self-Caring.
This is my pet peeve when hooked, and I see the yellow auras of Self-Caring Claudettes at oppisite ends of the map in corners. I personally use Self-Care alongside Botany Knowledge, and only when I really NEED to heal. Usually this is when I can't find another teammate in time, or I attempt to, only to begin a race across the map to attempt to get them to realise 'I need you to touch me!'.

Can Killers all just go on a strike and find another games to play until survivors get 30 min que time and realize how much this game is not enjoyable as killer?
There are amazing games like LOL and DOTA2 or Rainbow six that have smart developers balancing necessary things step by step.
I really wish this would happen. Might make the survivor mains realise the game is nothing without us letting them play. As much as they complain about everything, they'd soon quiet down when they can't play matches anymore!

I know this is just another vent post but this has really annoyed me tonight. So I get gen rushed and end up hooking someone who got cocky at the gate.
The hook was directly in front of the exit gate so it was either I stay by them or I let everyone escape and depip/lose BP. I had to face camp and ended up getting a 1k. The person messages me and I apologise. I don't normally play like that, I don't run any toxic builds or perks or anything like that, and I just say to them it was an unfair situation on both sides and that I had no choice. So they tell me that I "did have a choice" and I should have let them all go???? I'm sorry but I'm a KILLER my job is to not let survivors escape! Yes I played toxicly but I had no other choice and these survivors just expect me to let them all go and lose points? I try to play nicely but I don't have to at all my job is to stop them I'm getting so sick of getting messages and getting told that I "tunnelled" or "lag switched" them. I wish there was something we could do about these entitled survivors.
Don't apologise for the fact that this game has descended into this. I'm having to resort to these tactics too, and I hate myself for it. I always try to have a fair match, but how can anyone have a fair match when Gens just go off left and right so easily. The Devs need to wake up and see this damn issue!

It makes sense since rank will mean nothing with the changes.
Let's just hope they show each players "Skill Level" as replacement so we actually can tell we're being matched with people on the same level and not just have to trust it.
Problem is, this system seems like it could be easily abused. You can end up having highly skills players just repeatedly lose just to get lowered to bulldoze the low skill players. I'm hoping this won't be the case, but let's face it. We know that there are people who do this crap already!

Pretty much this. The devs had the lack of sense, and the balls to tell killers "just let the first 2 gens go"...killers responded by saying "Instead, I'll just tunnel and camp the survivors because they are overly altruistic and will go for the save even if they know the killer is camping, and then turn around and complain about it like it's anyone fault but their own".
It's a sad truth. And now, this is making more survivors turn even more aggressive by baiting a grab, or having a teammate distract you in someway while another grabs the survivor, and then proceed to body block. And who says DbD isn't fun these days? 🤷♂️

How dare you slug good sir! Have you no comprehension of the fun you deprived these poor souls of? You were supposed to let them DS you, then flashlight you, T-Bag over a pallet, then proceed to an infinite while their friends complete gens, only to lead to you downing them and having a friend of theirs Head On from a nearby locker.
Seriously though, their salt is amazing. I love when survivors act like this when they've been beaten. Keep up the fantastic work!
