They do it cause it's a weird power over you. They want you to react to them so they feel powerful over you. Anytime I get a toxic message I just reply with a simple GG. Don't let them get to you, and move on to your next game. Let them continue being man-children over a game. Someone will eventually put them in their places ;)
-
It's the same on Xbox too. It always seems to be a SWF team of 2 2's or a 3-man. Some are perfectly fine, but you get others that are will go out of their way to ruin everything for you. I personally don't mind them winning, but they can really take it to such an extreme and it's more annoying than anything. But, what can you do anymore? We just gotta take the abuse and move on I guess.

DS and BT abusers like to block paths. Killer can have no option but to go through BT or both. Yes, killer can leave DS on the ground, but survivors still make use of it by blocking killer and forcing killer to go through attack cooldowns.
Yep, it's annoying as hell. And it's always a SWF team that going super altruistic just to then gloat and 'GG EZ' about their escape
-
Lockers are terrifying when a survivor just leaps out from nowhere and stuns me. Everytime, without fail, I die a little inside.
-
You can't call it Gen rushing when they were just doing the objective. And if 3 at once went off, that means they each went to seperate gens. You can't seriously keep blaming gen rushing when it's clear the speeds are unbalanced. We just have to deal with it and play the best we can
-
I'd rather go against a Spirit for the challenge of her mindgames. Legion just... Hits you? Sorry Legion Mains! I still love you all when I see you!

But how? You're not explaining anything. It's how pc players play, and a lot of PC players use controller as survivor so really are no advantages to be had
I think it's mainly because mouse has a way better sensitivity for turning than we do with controllers since console still doesn't have a sensitivity option. Eevn then, there's no real advantage with a keyboard and mouse. It's not like a mouse makes anyone move faster. Just turns a little better.

I just checked both her profiles and it says reputation avoid me at the very top so this player must do this to everyone 😮
Man, I REALLY hope I run into this person now! I'm pretty sure I actually have before. Played against a Jane who suidicided 1st hook and proceeded to tell me to die and the usual simple minded insults. It was very colourful!

I went in just trying to get BP not caring about winning I guess the Jane just thought she was hot ######### and couldn't stand that a scrub like me got the best of her it is bad when you lose to a ghostface with the game volume muted
I personally love that single survivor who taunts and t-bags thinking they're the best ever only to drop within 2 seconds, then proceeds to rage quit and send abuse. Tells me I did my job correctly!
-
Honestly, 2 simple letters make me feel like I gave them a fun game. Win or not, they really make me feel better about it. But, of course, you'll get more of the toxic messages than nice ones, which push people away from killer.
-
Oh man, too relatable! Every single time on any Coldwind map!

usually I average a hook per gen. If 2 gens have popped and I still don’t have a hook, I don’t need to give you 1 more BP from our match. I don’t even try to pip anymore. Frankly I wonder why I even play killer anymore. The in game experience is terrible. And the studio nerfed the single best slowdown perk in the game?
Single best? Really? There are more perks to slowdown than just Ruin. Honestly, if you think Ruin was the best ever slowdown perk to go to, you need to try out more combos. Ruin isn't the end of slowing down perks.
-
@korean_zombie said:
At this point a rank 10 killer could really be a rank 4 killer because it’s nearly impossible to pip up as a killer and it’s too easy to pip up as a survivor.
and then there’s the ever other way that maps are unbalanced.
at this point if 2 gens have popped before I get a hook I just DC. Sweet skillchecks guyz.
I'm having no issues gaining pips as a killer. And DC'ing because 2 Gens went off on 1 hook? Good luck finding a match that it doesn't happen in.

I think both of you have the right idea. Killer expectations. Old Ruin made them think they're SUPPOSED to get all kills before the first gen is even done.
By the way, Tru3 is one of the worst "influencers" when it comes to this game, and I blame him for a lot of the killer's toxicity
I don't know why people would even want the match over before a gen is done personally. It's not fun for either side. I like a match that at least has chases going on, teammates outskilling me, and just a fun time. Even if they manage to complete all gens and escape, I usually just let them all go because I had a great time. Of course, you'll get the toxic survivors who will try ruin the fun, but meh, most times my matches are fun anyways. It's not always about winning! Though, killer mains these days think it is.
-
Seems like most killer mains who relied on Ruin, or any slowdown type perks have lost their skill or something? I see Gens popping fast early on sure, you can't really stop 2 or 3 going off when you can only pressure 1 survivor, but late game isn't always as bad as people try to make it
-
Tell that to my last match of a Rank 18, Rank 16, Rank 12 and Rank 2. May have been SWF but they each came in alone so I think they were solos. Needless to say, no mercy was given!
-
@PacifiedByDaylight said:
Isn`t it already in the game?
You mean that 'Did you have fun?' point thing that most likely does nothing? Yeah, it's there and I've yet to see evidence it ever worked.

I love watching my body ascend to the Entity's domain because of the cool sound effect tbh. 🤷 😂
Meh, the Entity's overrated. Grant me a true warrior death. Mori me! 😂
-
@animalmak said:
It may say escape, but it doesn't count toward like rift and dailies as an escape. I was at the end of a match (I should have just run out the door but I saw a totem and the killer was chilling by the last person on hook, so I figured I had time so I cleansed it), but then the killer DC'd before I actually left the map, so I didn't get my escape toward my rift count. Jokes on me - I haven't been able to escape a match since lmao.
In general I don't get DC-ing. I saw someone DC right as they were about to be sacrificed, and it's like?? Just wait two seconds rather than being stupid.
They can't allow this remember. If they even witness the slightest little bit of Entity swooping them up into the sky, their precious egos shall shatter! Best to let them bleed out on the floor. That may be a nicer way for them to die! 😏
-
Survivor for me is Ormand. Feels to easy to outrun killers in this place.
Killer has to be any variation of Coldwind. The corn is so annoying, and most times the game alerts me with 'Survivor Found' before I even figure out there WAS a survivor standing 3 feet away from me!
-
Prestige rewards are pretty meh imo. A bloody version of the default cosmetic isn't really flashy for me. I wouldn't want a Legacy outfit on console either or anything similar to it, as others have said, it takes away value from others that do have them. Personally, I'd prefer charms linked to the characters that go beyond P3 as a reward, then at least it's all fresh and it doesn't devalue cosmetics.
-
You can't really blame the killers who do just give up. Hell, I've done it a few times because it just gets so frustrating that no matter what, you've got the most altruistic survivors going. Not to mention the fact they know it and will stand taunting you at every moment they get. Some matches I just try to farm as much points as I can, but when you know that the games gone south, why even try to beat them?
-
I honestly don't understand why they do it anyway. They lose all BP for the match, and for what? To screw a killers challenges? It just shows the mentality of a lot of players these days.

-
So, what I'm taking from this, is that you're complaining that killers are actually gaining some power over survivors? Isn't that kind of the point of a killer? To be able to outplay survivors?
-
Why is that every single low ranked survivor just cries 'Killer OP' just because you haven't learnt how to counter or outplay the killer. No wonder BHVR keeps nerfing crap into oblivion. Can't have these newbies having to learn or anything these days!

You uhhh, didn't point out how if a killer or survivor was to lose ALOT on purpose they could just go to newbies and completely destroy them and not be punished at all
Also what is the point of keeping it hidden?
Some of us wanna see our skill level
Honestly this is what's making me fear the new skill-based matchmaking. It's going to get abused, we all know it. I just pray that the Devs work something out to actually make it fair again, or this could be the final straw for a lot of people.

Yes, buying a new game every time, 20€ to bully a killer without perks, still better than now and every month you have to redo it, fine by me.
Consoles would juse need to re-create a new account and boom. They get the game since it's on their console. PC just have to link another Steam profile to their main account and they get access via their new profile. As I say. Always a workaround.
-
Blindness can vary on use. If there are no survivors around when you down someone, they're left in the dark for a while about where you just did it. The only visual clue they'd have is the hook effect as they get placed. Not as bad as you make it sound.
Haunted Grounds is a high risk kind of hex. You gotta hope that they find it and you can get some use out of it.
Thrill is... Sort of ok? I mean, as you say, it's easily abusable for sounds.
NOED can be removed completely just by removing all Totems, so it can actually fail to work anyway.
Devour Hope, yes it's a fantastic perk, and many times Survivors don't even realise it's there until Exposed activates.
-
Easily abusable. People would just create new accounts with 0 hours to bully newbies. There will always be a work around for people who just want to be toxic as possible.
-
I really just want to know what the devs are planning to do. They've turned the game into a war zone. Killers are outright camping/Tunneling out of protest, leading to survivors now essentially being toxic and bullying the regular killers. One single update to a Perk and the game seems to have just imploded into itself and created a huge rift even worse than the usual one!

Because how dare I use Pop. They thought I had BBQ, but he just kept going to the same exact spots. Never joined my party, either. Checked their profile, not a single prestige.
People actually still use that 'My dad works at the game company' crap?! Jeez. Well, it was good for a laugh anyway!

Also if your a survivor that is against a faceCamper yeah just get ur team to bully them and I don’t care if you hate what I say ya toxic face Camper
So you don't like a 'Toxic facecamper' but you're all for a Toxic SWF Hitsquad to bully a killer? There's a word for people with conflicting statements like this...
-
Because the internet? Keyboard warriors feel their strongest when they can berate and bully online since you'll never see them face to face, and it makes them feel all warm and cozy inside. Just GG and move on really. Don't rise to their comments, it's what they want.
-
Who are you really getting this 'revenge' on really? It's not the survivors fault that gens are stupidly fast, and overall, you're just pushing people away from the game doing this. Should we just ask every survivor if they'd kindly only pop 1 gen and allow you to get a hook in compensation? Yes, camping is a tactic, though I don't personally like it. It just ruins the game for a survivor that is just trying to play like they're supposed to. Doing gens, just like you should be doing yours: Chasing and hooking survivors.
-
@ClickyClicky said:
If they’re a bad player just expect NOED. If they camp/tunnel expect NOED.
Basically unless they play like they dont need NOED, then expect NOED
Pretty much this. Every camper killer I've encountered has NOED for fear the final survivor will leave via Hatch or exit gate.
-
I like the idea, but the slowdown is WAY too high. Thantaphobia only goes to 12% max. Everyone would just use Plague 24/7 for kills!
-
Even after a year of playing, I'm still not 'good' in terms of I can easily 4k every single team. Honestly, don't stress too much over trying to win every match. Practice each killer, see which you enjoy and find a little easier. Try out different perk combos. It's all about finding what works for you with each killer. And never let survivors who act toxic via messages/post-game chat make you feel like you're bad at the game. We were all newbies at one point, and I think many forget that. So, yeah, just try practice as best you can, and just enjoy yourself overall
-
I've had so many killers that have camped and tunneled, and never once have I felt the need to send a message to them saying some of the stuff I've received. It really makes me wonder what the actual hell goes through someones mind that thinks it's perfectly acceptable to send that sort of thing. Well, apart from the whole 'keyboard warrior' aspect. It really is disgusting how some people will act over a game. And some of these people claim to be adults. I've seen 5 year olds have more maturity than some of these players!

If you want to be stealthy all you need are spine chill and iron will, maybe also sprint burst, which I wouldn't call bad perks.
Being stealthy or immersed are not the same thing. Hell, try playing huntress on a big ass map like temple of purgation with everyone playing stealthy, you will most likely ragequit, since you hardly will find anyone.
also, people can choose how to play, ya know?
A voice among the darkness! I'm tired of seeing these 'You can't play X way' type posts honestly. Just let people play how they want to. It's not hurting anyone

20-30 minutes? Queue times at rank 1 is around 2-3 minutes for me as survivor (XBOX One). Did the queue times explode when the devs added dedicated servers to PS4?
This makes me pray dedicated servers don't hit Xbox anytime soon. We may have to wait 5-10 mins for a survivor match, but screw near half an hour!

yeah they really want "daddy" to watch them leave but i got pallets to break and videos to keep watching on youtube so they're gonna have to go on there own.
Pretty much. I'll wander the map looking for anything I can earn some extra BP on, use my power and then wander off to stick the kettle on. The best part is when they get a little too cocky, and wander out to search, realising they didn't have enough time to get out. Their screams are delicious.
-
For me, Surge is a great one. Yeah, I know a lot of killer mains are probably saying it's the worst ever perk, but hey, that 8% Gen regress, along with regular regress comes in damn handy when you need to get back on a chase and can't waste time kicking a Gen. Plus, combined with Thrilling Tremors. Buys a little time.
-
I think it's adorable when they click flashlights at me, or off in the distance they taunt you to follow. The only thing that I find really annoying is when they all stand in the gates for the full duration of the EGC hoping I'll come along and take their t-bagging for their win. Just leave so we can all get onto our next game instead of making me wait 3 minutes while you feel the need to stroke your ego.
-

It would be a little better if matches didn't just reward around 500XP each time. I feel that the XP amount could be increased a little more, or gain more bonus XP based on Emblem scores, or even a % bonus per Devotion level earned.
