Did I mention they all had Self-care and Urban Evasion (with two of them having Spine Chill) ?

    My favorite, self-caring under hook

Oof. You win the Worst Self-Care teammates! 😄

  • It's the current state of survivor ranks. Because they can easily pip to red ranks doing literally nothing we're seeing more and more potatoes sitting in red ranks. I get way too many of them in my matches when I'm playing survivor. It's as you say, they sneak around the map, barely touch gens, and my personal favourite: Self-Caring in a corner. Never fails to impress.

  • I mean, if you're getting triggered over a killer hitting you on a hook, or survivor t-bagging after dropping a pallet, then you're in the wrong game friend. I'd suggest you just ignore it, or play Ghostface and join in.

This game wouldn't be healthier, I have met some great people through such, it's not swf that makes the game how it is, it's people and their own choice of game play that some do not like etc.

I've met a fair few SWF teams, usually the 2-man teams, that were good sports in the match. They took losing well, and we had a good chat about it afterwards. The problem is, people like to group SWF into these toxic 4-man hitsquads, which I won't deny exist, because I've had them as opponents in matches, but people blow it way out of proportion saying it's nothing BUT 4-mans. I wouldn't want casual SWF's who most likely just play to have a laugh together have their experience ruined because killers demand it removed. As long as BHVR finally make it so killers can have a similar buff to their communication, then there would be no issues anymore.

  • I like the current perk's idea, but around a Gen is pretty useless when you're at the oppisite side of the map. It could just link to the killer TR, so their TR area is where the perk affects. It would give it use, especially if someones in a chase and a gen just happened to pop.

  • Yes, because 1 single Perk got changed, so the game is going to die. Pretty sure we've heard this over the years about every single perk that got altered, or a killer got changed. But sure, the game will die without Old Ruin. It'll happen for sure this time!

  • I've noticed a lot of survivors only talk about how they want to lower their gen count when a teammate DC'sm which is fair, but look at the killers side. They lose 1 survivor, which lowers their overall score unless they can farm the remaining players, which becomes tougher because most times (From my experience) they will just hide away, and usually just try camp the hatch. Or, another will disconnect. I've had it happen way too many times where 1 DC's because X reason, then another DC's because, again, X reason. Leaving 2 for me to literally farm the hell out of just so I can even make decent points.

Oh no, don't get me wrong, I know that they're starting, I'm complaining about getting these players when I'm a higher rank, because they don't really help a lot, that's what im saying that the matchmaking system is trash, because why they would put rank 20-15s with higher ranks

Oh I totally get the frustration. I'm getting tired of seeing them in my games, more that it's unfair when they go down so easily, then at the results screen I feel terrible because they clearly didn't know great loops, or how to counter. I mean, usually I can tell when it's a new, or low skilled survivor, but these days, with the amount of rank 1 boosted survivors, it's getting harder to tell

They're also making costumes out of the Dead By Daylight designs for Ghostface.

Really? I may have to look into them at some point, just for future halloween parties. Always loved Ghostface, and his DbD outfits look amazing.

I'm currently rank 8 and I keep getting a lot of rank 20s that do nothing productive at all and just crouch in a corner of the map.

It's really frustrating because no gen is popped if im getting chased and I don't get saved and die first hook.

I really hope this gets fixed with the new and "improved" matchmaking because I get these survivors 2/5 games

You do realise I've seen Rank 1's literally do the exact same thing. Self-Caring in a corner of the map while people are sitting on the hook. Everytime a survivor is hooked, my Kindred activates, I look around and boom. Someone sitting there Self-Caring away for 32 seconds. Also, you can't blame Rank 20's, especially if they're new to the game. They're still learning and don't realise that doing that doesn't help anyone. We were all there at one point. You just need more paitence with low ranks. It's the high rank potatoes as I say that have no excuse.

Thanks Mike. I kind of figured it had to do with licenses but then again Ghostface has new cosmetics ever so often. I agree I get tired of playing as fish face Freddy 😆.

I think Ghostface gets more since his character is based on the Mask, not the actual character from Scream. Pretty sure they're a costume type company, though not 100% sure, so that's most likely why Ghostface gets more designs than others.

  • I usually switch over to survivor for a while, just so I can feel a little less stressed. If I do have a lot of losses as Killer, I just stop trying to kill them really. I'll smack them around a little, chase them about, earn some BP, but let them escape. Or, I'll just completely mess with them and have fun. I tried Ghostface and when a Survivor saw me, I ran away from them. It turned into a match where they basically chased me. Yeah, it wasn't productive, but it was a fun match and I made some new allies for the game. So yeah, just try not to stress over it too much, and take a break if it gets too much.

  • I love Lery's, even more now with it's rework simply for it's feeling that you know torture happened here. It's dark, creepy, and certainly a place you don't want to be. The worst is Hawkins. I love the map, but the issue is the damn doors! They're so loud, on top of Gens, that I can barely hear anything else around me. Not to mention the maze like coridoors.

  • I think it comes down to the actual license wether or not they can create new cosmetics for each character. Since they aren't original, they most likely need to propose any cosmetics to their respective owners. I'd love to see more cosmetics for them too. It get's a little bland seeing the same Bubba and Freddy.

  • I did it earlier while going for my sabo 10 hooks challenge just by pure luck. Almost was hooked, but got away thankfully. I always try help others wiggle out too with Breakout

Generator Rush doesn't really exist - you need to apply more pressure.

I am capable of applying extreme pressure as Clown against Survive With Friends without any issue

Just because you can doesn't mean everyone else can. Some people are more skilled, where some are just playing casual and want to just enjoy themselves. Everyone has different skill levels in games like these. Not everyone wants to go sweaty tryhard and win. The same goes for a lot of survivors. Some are really skilled at chases, but others aren't. It all depends on who you are against.

That's why the report button exists.

This is 1 of many of the same threads showcasing the post-game toxicity. You possess the power to get them off the game. Use it and move on.

Sure theres a report button. But what hapens when they do it to someone who may have mental health issues or even a family going through that exact scenario? Should we just report and move on? Yes, I get that reporting them helps, but it's crap like this that has lead to cyber bullying and suicides because of it. It shouldn't even be happening in the first place.

@Mikeasaurus I honestly couldn’t say it any better. It plays with my mind so bad! If they don’t decrease the difficulty for killer adepts they should at least raise the difficulty for survivors such as getting 4 iridescent emblems with a survivors 3 unique perks OR not getting hooked the whole game (although this would most likely encourage survivors to hide in the basement and wait for everyone to die for a hatch escape)

I agree. One thing that I do feel makes the killers version a lot tougher is that some of their perks now are kind of useless, especially when you can't combo them to others for a synergy and survivors have so many new perks to work with. Of course, that's not to say you need perks to win or anything, but we can't deny that perks do give us an advantage.

  • I guess add a little more atmosphere to it. Right now I just looks (to me) like an abandoned house with some ski equipment inside. I feel like the map could have a snow effect, similar to Red Forests rain effect maybe, and have a little more of a Ski resort look than it currently does. Also, more decoration to actually make it look like a resort, than a rock filled yard. I'm not really that creative on the designs. I'd most likely end up making it super easy for killers if I ever changed it haha.

  • It does indeed. And I hear they may even be 'soft-rebooting' the series. God help us all if they do. They already destroyed the series after Downpour and destroyed our souls when they cancelled PT.

  • It is pretty stupid that a survivor could do literally nothing the entire game, not even pip but just get the achievement/trophy by leaving the game alive. Where killers are judged based on how the entity was pleased and their overall emblem score, which, most times is not impressed.

  • I hate the map, but I just like it's overall look. Maybe it's just cause I love snow type maps in games. I'd say this is 2nd on my rework choice.

  • Good god YES! Since Konami have pretty much butchered Silent Hill into non-existence, I would love to see PH just going nuts on survivors with his knife! Heck, they could even add in the main characters as survivors.

  • @Advorsus said:

Ormunds. And by update I mean just hit the delete button on it :'D

I swear for me it has been deleted. I haven't seen Ormand in months. I'm actually... Starting to miss it weirdly enough!

For map updates, Swamp. Place is so bland and meh.

  • I love it when I rescue them from a hook, try keep them from being hit, then get downed, only to see them all run out the door as I'm carried away to my death, wondering why I never learn my damn lesson. Heck, some killers have even messaged me apologising for killing me when they see they all just ran out. Can't blame the killer ofc, they were just doing their objective, but damn it hurts everytime.

  • @AsePlayer said:

Why do you let it bother you? Turn the end game chat off or deal with it and report.

Bothered or not, that kind of thing is unacceptable no matter how you look at it. Telling people to get cancer and die? They're so far over a line, the line is on the other side of the planet! It's actually disgusting that people go on like that over a game.

  • It's a great idea if it was in the killers vision only, but it could also cause some issues for colorblind players, but I'd assume there would be a workaround for that case. Overall, it would help, instead of the usual red aura for each Hex

Why would you wait for the killer to hit you, when you are healthy and could make distance instead? And second killer is locked in animation there is no hit.

Because I choose to play this way? And also, I'm not on PS4 so I don't have dedicated servers to cause these issues, or I would avoid doing this since it wouldn't be fair to a killer.

She told me I am a bad killer just for a suggestion

No, they said, and I quote: 'Slowdown perks are cool and all, but if thats all you can rely on then unfortunately your probably not a very good killer.'

Nowhere in this is it stated YOU are a bad killer, they simply said, if you RELY on said perks, then your not going to be very good since you'd be hoping the perks would stop survivors, which is never the case.

As I said previously the gen would be nowhere near done and no ds either. Healthy survivor who hasn't been hooked yet has no reason to stay on the gen which is 5-10% complete while killer is walking towards him

True, some could be abusing it, but how do you know they weren't waiting until the last second to avoid a grab? I've done it many times and it's caused a killer to hit the gen instead

  • If they're going to just make Ranks a 'bragging' right in the future, they could just add a sort of scoring thing to it, like a Leage per season. Depending on the Rank you had at the end of each reset, it rewards you BP or even Shards. It would at least give Rank a reason, since right now it's pretty much just a colour with no meaning anymore.

  • I doubt the glitch caused a pip loss somehow. They had all Gens done, Exit open and you camped beside a hooked survivor, which lowers the emblem score. So, it seems you more likely didn't pip because they outplayed you.

Favorite song lyric: Oni are yui okay?

I have a power that cannot be cleansed

Your power must be converted into a Hex perk immediatly. It's power is one to be reckoned with!

At least now when I go against an Oni with Yui, that song is now stuck in my head!

Said by someone who's carrying the pic of a survivor let me see you're entitled survivor main, if someone touch your damned generators you get mad and become a salt factory.

I just suggested a change according to the line of thoughts of developers, you sweaty Feng main. The "versatile" build you are suggesting is probably Monstruous Shine - Zanshin Tactic - Lightborn - Overcharge

Wow, they gave some constructive feedback to what you proposed, and you just outright attack them? And called them a 'Survivor Main' beause of a profile picture? No need to be so toxic when they were just having an opinion man.

  • I like the idea, but as we know, survivors would despise this. It could possibly just be placed into an open chest which would then close said chest, since chests are the 'Killers belongings' so it would be like they stored their item as a trophy kind of thing.

  • I think they both need skill, but old Doc did require more, since you had to time when to switch between stances. Now, you just need to time shocks to stop a pallet or vault.

I'm talking about when a survivor purposely or accidentally dies in the struggle phase when they still could've easily been saved

If a survivor dies on purpose in struggle, that's essentially them doing a DC without DC'ing, where dying while struggling, that's on survivors really. If a Killer is camping them while they struggle, then just do Gens. They're the ones sacraficing their possible chase times so they can secure a kill. Giving out free gens just because a survivor died is like giving a killer a free kill because they lost a gen. Unbalanced, and unfair for both sides.

i’m so conflicted on this because of how toxic the community is. You have fun as killer and don’t get a 4 man, most of the time you’ll get toxic messages about how bad you are.

you try and get 4 killers, you’re a camper, try hard, etc.

Same for survivor if you escape you gen rushed and you’re sweaty.

I definitely have more fun with my friends because we just enjoy the game, but solo queue and killer matches i have more fun winning since it’s more toxic lol

An unfortunate truth. I just play for fun and BP. If a killer goes super tryhard (Camping, tunneling, etc) then I'll return the favor, but most times I've had killers that just try for hooks, but not to the point they will run you down the second your off the hook. As killer, as long as I can get my BBQ stacks for points, then I'll happily let them escape, but again, when they go super altuistic every unhook, then someones dying.

  • They're pretty cheap considering what other games are charging for their cosmetics these days. And as said above, wait for a sale or don't buy them.

  • I've had multiple Spirits and they haven't made a sound while in a chase. Only when outside of a chase. On xbox btw.

  • I've started having that challenge pop-out just appearing everytime I enter the pre-lobby, then to an actual lobby acting as though I leveled up the Rift. Really annoying now, and restarting didn't stop it. Could be linked?

  • I had a Billy earlier that chainsawed just inches away from me and I didn't even hear him coming. It was bizzare!

  • One cosmetic I will buy on day of release!

Killers could be buffed accordingly, maybe 10 seconds added to each gen to start out with? Then these times could be lowered as killers are individually buffed.

I mean, if Killers received some kind of buff to counter it, then I'd be fine with it. But, there would still be mass arguments about what the buff should be, and how comms would still be OP. It's a lose-lose situation regarding comms overall imo.

  • From my research on Google, it originated from a film:

The phrase "I can count to potato" was first used in the 2005 comedy film The Ringer in which con man Steve Barker (played by Johnny Knoxville) pretends to be mentally disabled in order to compete in the Special Olympics

It then became a meme, then people used it to insult others online. I think we can guess why it was used...

  • So, you want to turn the entire survivor side into a non-stop SWF? Seems fair.

  • Yes, SWF do get a huge advantage over a killer, but what do you expect will happen? BHVR to just outright remove SWF? Is SWF fair for a killer? No, not even close. Should it be removed? No, because some people may only enjoy the game with friends. You could even go further and say that other multiplayer games are 'cheating' because the opposing team has chat. I don't like SWF, and I'm a solo player myself, but I don't want the game to stop people enjoying the game together. Though I will admit, that some do go out of their way to be toxic with it, but not every single SWF is toxic.

  • Not a huge fan of Bond personally. I find it kinda useless when normally, all other survivors are scattered across the map. If I really need to see survivors, I prefer Empathy, then at least I know when they've left a chase and need a heal

  • Personally, if I find a survivor AFK in a locker, or just standing still, they're on hook instantly. I'd rather they be out of the game than waste the other survivors time.

  • Doctor on Hawkins.

    Distressing, Overwhelming, Thrilling Tremors, Spies

    Purple and Yellow 'Calm' Add-Ons

Static Blast was the only thing I needed to find those pesky survivors. A little too easy to find survivors, but a heck of a lot of points, and a lot of fun... For me anyways 😄
