Easily abused. The killers and survivors could just agree to all DC on each other for easy completions.
-
Been doing this for me since last week, on Xbox.
-
Dwight for survivor. The poor man was tortured by everyone around him, and pretty much left for dead in a forest because his co-workers thought it was funny.
Spirit for killer. Her backstory is one of the most emotional ones, and everytime I see her standing doing her lobby animations, you see for a few seconds the sadness on her face, like she knows that what shes doing isn't right, but can't control herself anymore. Gets me everytime.
-
Honestly, the toolbox rework can't come fast enough. 1 match I just had proved the point. a SWF team, all with Purple Toolboxes, BNP and a booster item for speed. Each went to their own Gen, and I swear to god. By the time I'd even tracked down a survivor 4 Gens just boomed from nowhere after each other. I didn't know wether to laugh or cry.
-
Demogorgon on console. I absolutly love him overall as a killer, but the frame rate drops he suffers from are so bad at times, it makes chases damn hard when the FPS clips itself as you swing for a survivor
-
I use it on my Jake as part of my healer build for him. It's insanely handy against Doc, and any killer with Infectious Fright, and even Iron Maiden. The amount of Docs I've outsmarted simply because they couldn't pin me down with their static blast.

I nod at survivors when they make a great play. It's the opposite of Toxic. But I could be the exception to the rule. If I want to be toxic I would slug and camp. Or shake my head No.
I do the same when they're in the gate. Unless I'm GF, then I join the butt dancing
-
I think it's just visual. I get the same feeling with Doctor with Moniter. I think it's the wider camera makes the area seem to go by faster since when it shrinks the camera in a chase, it seems like it slowed down slightly
-
As said above, Hope, but also it seems like each survivor was being pushed toward negative emotions more and more, and the Entity seemed to heighten these feelings of negativity. One example is Jane. Towards the end of her story, she is forced to interview her mother, who abandoned her, but she had feelings of envy and anger throughout the interview, which seemed to be heightened more than she'd felt before. As she drove home, she was feeling worse, and began to blackout. So, perhaps the Entity is able to take people from our world once they've begun to pretty much given up or has fallen into such a low state of negativity. That's my take on it anyway.

How do you know you are facing a SWF? I have only been playing killer for about a month)PS4), and sometimes I can tell when I am by how they are playing, but how else does everyone know they are playing with/against SWF?
You can sort of tell from the Lobby. If 2 or 3 come in at the exact same time, it's usually a SWF team, but not always. Could just be solos entered at the same time

Oh im sorry, I guess as a killer, I should ask you whats fair before I kill you.
Well, if you were offering, that would be extremely nice of you. I'd even consider not DS'ing you! 😂

the only issue I have with Freddy is his BT immunity. I don't believe any killer should have the abilityto camp/tunnel without any form of repercussion
Technically that falls down to the unhooker. If they have BT but don't use an Alarm clock or get another survivor to wake them up, then it's on them.
-
Imo, he was buffed. It was tough to keep up with a chase when constantly having to switch between Punishment and Treatment. And now, with his Static Blast ability, it's easier to keep madness on survivors while they're out of a chase. The downside though, is it's too easy for them to lose madness since it drops directly back to 1 when they use Snap out of it, which isn't bad overall really.

Same. Solo que and they just bolt off even if i say i have it.
It's really annoying. Not to mention the fact they leave a nice glowing red trail for the killer to just redown them. If they just walked away and hid behind a obstacle, I'd be more inclined to heal them, but if they just dart away, nope.
-
@TheAntiSanta said:
I mean, you got the loss of blood points and emblem for standing next to a hooked survivor and getting less hooks.
And as the survivor that isn't hooked/tunneled, you can punish the ever living ######### out of the killer by just doing gens while they're sitting over there doing nothing.
While this is a solution, it's not really fair to the survivor whos stuck on the hook for 2 minutes losing out on a match worth of BP, and just having a crappy time overall

I know but I'm sick of killers with terrible Internet at this point rather take my chances with dedicated servers
I'd rather play against a potato internet than be frozen in place for 5 minutes because the servers bugged me out.
-
I'd prefer they add an offline mode too personally. As much as online is fun, it gets frustrating way too fast. If they did add AI, I'd hope they weren't as stupid as the F13 AI, constantly opening and closing the same door for 5 minutes 🤨

Yes. His name will be The Trasher (prototype name: The Smasher). One day when he went to evict Feng's grandmother from her apartment, because she wasnt paying the bills, the Grandmother (who actually was The Hag) ambushed him with a trash can and threw him to the Garbage Truck. Now The Vegneful Trasher Who Was Killed By Fengs Grandmother Who Later Became The Hag, roams in the realm of his possesion, haunting and evicting tenants, smashing and trashing them to death. His weapon is a Smashy Sledgehammer and he wears The Trashcan on his head. His power, The Trashing allows him to destroy walls for some reason.
Or something like this
Joking or not, can we have this just implemented as official lore? This was hilarious to read!

Well they were literally feeding me the unhooks while the Kate was pretty much doing gen after gen. What was i supposed to do just walk away from obvious kills handed to me?
I'd say you did the right thing. If they're stupid enough to trade places for being altruistic as hell, then let them line up for the hook. I won't hesitate to down a survivor who literally unhooks in my face.
-
I would, but I play solo, and guaranteed, anytime I unhook, the survivor marathons across the map before I can even heal them. So, I stopped bothering to use it or heal unhooked survivors.
-
@2LuvRias said:
Doesn't Freddy's dream snares make people scream? And I think who screams doesn't matter. As long as they scream
Pretty much. Doc is easiest for it since Madness 3 can cause them to repeatedly scream anyway so you can focus more on getting other survivors

Seems so. This was my go to perk alongside Surge. Nice to know it's now wasted. It's like BHVR wants all killers to fail!

What a bunch of losers. Spooky Michael is one of the most fun killers to face.
I wasn't even going to really 'try' against them either. It was more for the scare factor. I'd have thought they'd work it out when I let them heal before hunting them again, but I guess some people take the game way too seriously

I said exactly that on a video I made... Call it conspiracy theory if you want, but I believe that when they start trying to fix killers, this game will already be at a point of no return cuz no one will be interested anymore. I won't play killer anymore, that's for sure, only to make a video or 2...
It's certainly getting to that point. Players who played killer will just leave with a really bad impression, and as you say, even if they're fixed, that impression will remain. Honestly, if this new skill-based MM system falls through, I'll most likely quit killer. As much as I enjoy playing as killer, there's only so much you can take before enough is enough.

True. Guess there's no real punishment in them doing anything to leave a match early, beyond less BP

Right, so just take it in strides. Don't let those people bother you, and just be nice back to them. It's the best you can do.
Oh trust me, I do. I seem to encounter a lot of them on Xbox. They usually just sit in the gate waiting for me, but I just face a corner in the basement and let them carry on doing whatever it is they're doing. They'll usually send me messages after a match with the usual 'GG EZ' or whatever. I just GG and move on. I got more important things to do than respond to baity messages haha
-
I just wish it was on Xbox. Had a match earlier as Myers, using Scratched Mirror on Lery's. Just playing for the fun of it really, and as soon as I caught the survivors walking around a corner, they DC. One survivor remained and I had to let them get hatch. Ended up receiving the usual toxic messages all over 1 single Add-On. It's just not right that people can just DC because they don't like the killer, or their add-ons, or they went down, etc. It ruins the experience for the remaining survivors, and the killer too.

This is one reason why I try my hardest NOT to rank up, because I know I won't be able to play the killers I want at rank 1 (even when the game wasn't so bad, I already couldn't), I'll play to crush ppl and not to have fun... Problem is that now even at rank 9 (which is the lowest I can be without throwing) I still get teams full of red ranks, so killer is pretty much unbearable if you want to have fun with the game lol...
Yep, it's unfortunate. No matter what, I can only get Red rank survivors, and I try to stay at rank 10. Even before all this matchmaking stuff, I never wanted to go to red ranks because it just feels like everyone goes super tryhard and it's not fun for me needing to sweat hard to even get a down. I personally just play for points and try have fun with silly little builds, but lately, that can't even happen when I get survivors who just run me down. I'll still keep playing killer. I mean, someone has to. But god help survivors when they finally push away the remaining killers.
-
@AntiJelly said:
Yeah. The best we can do as a community is be nice to others, and hopefully they reciprocate. That's the start of reducing toxicity that's so commonplace here.
Everyone's so stuck in playing a certain way that facilitates toxicity, and the more we can remove people from that the better.
Let's face it. There will always be those survivors we encounter that make it their main mission in life to basically torture a killer. As long as those kinds of people exist in the game, it just pushes more and more toxic killer tactics.

Yeah Evil, I know that, when I play killer I think in the same way sometimes, but that's the exact point... These last changes made so people feel more anger and frustration towards the game, that SOMEONE will have to pay the price, and usually that someone had nothing to do with your bad experiences, so in the end it becomes just a spiral of negativity.
Hits the nail on the head. I gotta admit, I've had matches where Red ranks or a SWF just bulldoze me and I encounter a team of casuals, and my god, I make them wish they hadn't joined my lobby. I feel terrible for it afterwards, because I vented my anger on the wrong people.

I can blame them. Don't go the whole match sabotaging hooks. Do it when it makes sense.
Oh I get that. I wouldn't want people outright just screwing the team, despite the fact I've had that still do, but hey-ho. What can you do?

I tried playing my nurse again at rank 14. I havent really played her since her rework. i thought i was getting the hang of it until MM paired me with all 1's and 2's. I didnt get a single kill. Barely any hooks. They were pretty good at juking and i screwed up some blinks but my god it wasnt fun. before the rework I thought I was a good nurse. i didnt even use extra blink add ons but now I feel like I need to b a god nurse to catch good survivors with her. By the time I find someone my blinks are out, when they recharge they get to a building and my guessing is awful.
I know the feeling. I tried Nurse for the first time recently, and my god, the red ranks knew I couldn't play. They made sure to just sidestep each blink slightly and taunted me for it. I never felt so useless in all my life. They did end up giving me free points, but damn, I never wanna touch Nurse again after that! Hats off to anyone who can master her!
-
Can't blame them for doing challenges. Not everyone wants to just jump in, abuse the killer for 5 minutes and leave. A lot of people want the free BP from challenges, and the lore. Plus, the extra Rift progress.
-
Only way to fix it is actually help killers pip. I've seen maybe 2 or 3 red rank killers in the last month, and they were pretty good, but the rest have been green/purple. It's gotten to the point that nobody wants to play killer anymore at high ranks it seems, and I really don't blame them. I keep getting matched to red rank survivors as a Green rank killer, and I'm barely making enough to safety anymore. I'm lucky to get 1 or 2 kills. Most matches I just have to let them escape because a lot of them make sure that nobody is dying in the match with their BT, DS, Adrenaline, etc.
-
Can't blame them really. 1 DC can mean losing even a safety pip these days. It's absolutly nuts that survivors can still pip like crazy but killers are pretty much screwed from 1 single DC.

Is it not about time that BHVR start doing live streams themselves against real players. Would love to see how they apply pressure?
They never will though. Despite how 'easy' they think it is, they know for a fact that an actual player, and not a Dev, will literally hand them their ass on a plate.

Lol ok I see. I just don’t understand I know I have the challenge on and 100% we have seen killer blind come up twice sometimes tree times and it still doesn’t register that we have done the challenge. If a killer has lightborn on, will killer blind still come up even if the killer didn’t get blinded?
Even with Lightborn, the killer can still be blinded, but it takes longer than usual. Killers with Lightborn get 60/70/80% resistance to Flashlights
-
I've tried Nurse a few times in the past few days, and damn she is one tough cookie to master, so hats off to you for nailing it! I hope to one day VS you as Survivor and see your skills in action! 😉

Wouldn't really call it an 'escape' personally. It's a consolation prize at most, that they didn't die.

Perks like DS and NOED pretty much just reward failure though...calling them crutches isn't exactly incorrect. I agree people shouldn't be judged based on the perks they run, all that matters in a fair game is having some consideration for the other side. Unfortunately, very few dbd players care nor are they required to.
Pretty much why I don't use either honestly. I don't want to feel like a perk let me escape or get a kill because I messed up somewhere. But, each to their own. Use whatever helps at the end of the day.
-
I like the perks, but the Survivor Perk 3 is pretty much Quintens Wake Up perk.
And the Killers Perk 1 is a TR version of Demogorgons Mindbreaker Perk, but overall good perks.

Months? Try for the entire duration of this game so far. Where have you been?
Been here for a year now, and only since December has it affected me. I'm on Xbox if that makes any difference.
-
It honestly makes me laugh that people complain about NOED, but feel it's perfectly fine to run DS, BT, DH, Sprint Burst, Lithe, Adrenaline. But yeah, NOED killers are trash!
-
It's been like this for a couple of months now. A lot of killers have either left until it's fixed, or went Survivor side.
-
The hatch only opens when your the final survivor. Once open, the killer can close it and force you to use Exit gates to escape, or if you have a Key you can reopen it and flee. It spawns varying on amount of survivors left alive and gens completed.
-
I'd love this to happen. I love the Stranger Things theme, and it does get a little annoying hearing the Demogorgon, as much as I love him, roaring every few seconds. Survivors should get the same theme music in their lobbies just as much as killers do.
-
You have to be pretty close to them for the game to register they're found and begining a chase, otherwise they can just dart away and the chase doesn't start.
-
@Pepsidot said:
Casual play has existed throughout the years, if you're low ranked. However if you're high ranked casual play doesn't really exist as killer. That's the harsh reality. If you play enough you will unfortunately start stressing when playing killer.
Problem is with Rank, is that you can easily pip when you end up facing potato survivors as killer, so really, anyone can rank up easily. And we all know how amazing red rank survivors can be lately since it's so damn easy to hit those pip requirements.
-
I guess I just get unlucky on my boxes. I had to run around the map searching, and ended up forgetting which ones I'd already been to. Piggy certainly enjoyed the show as I exploded 😂
-
I don't think there's anything beyond simply hide. If you hear the TR, find a locker. Usually the killer will think you're just crouched somewhere, though it depends on the map really. A single locker will be a telltale sign that you're there, but multiple lockers can distract the killer enough for you to get a headstart, unless they just wander off.
