Next liscensed killer confirmed
Yes! We need Untitled Goose. No survivor could stand up to his murderous needs :D
-
You can't really say the community is pushing you away when you clearly instigated the conversation, which from a outside point of view, you were being kind of a ass toward this guy.
-
For me, a toxic survivor are the ones who will taunt and t-bag at the exit gate after getting a flawless win. To add to that, the ones who do the above, and also spend the next couple of minutes flashing lights in your face.
Toxic killers are the ones who will facecamp or tunnel any player for that desperate win. I've tunneled a player by mistake several times, when I go for their rescuer I end up downing the hooked player. Anytime I do that, I never pick them up, because in my eyes, it's not a fair play for that survivor.

Was about to disagree with you and say he just needs small touches, but... Can you imagine gaining the power to trade places with imaginary doctors on the other side of the map?
It would make the Doctor more of a challenge, one that I'd welcome! His shock attack is annoying, but it's not like it's anything severe to deal with. If he operated like the Hag's projection teleport, he'd be much more terrifying. It would be a great idea if he got more effects, beyond just 'fake hallucinations' or 'endless terror heartbeat'. Perhaps even perceiving survivors as a Doctor for a few seconds at Madness 3.

If it's in loading I believe you don't actually lose your offering (and killer their addons) they're just removed from the pane so it looks like you used it.
Survivors are getting some points in the next update I believe...something like 600 altruism?
Tools and Add-ons, yes, you keep, but the offerings that are consumed before a match begins are lost for good when the game ends because someone DC'd in loading
-
The main thing that agitates me with DC'ing killers is the loss of offerings. Same when a player decides to DC in loading and again, lost offering. It sucks, especially when it's a rare offering that isn't the easiest thing to obtain. There needs to be fixes in place to give players points for a Killer DC, since killers get a quitter bonus. So why do survivors get nothing?
-
My theory is that this is somehow linked to the Macmillan Estate and The Trapper. If I'm remembering right, the Entity had some huge link to that place, and as the guy seems to be sitting in what looks like a pretty large room, it's possible that's a mansion of some sort. Could possibly be the Trappers father. The item he's holding could be a Vigo creation, as he was known for experimenting with things from the Entity's realm, but the Entity began to steal them. Could be he created a way to extract survivor memories from the Fog and have a way to contain them for when the survivors possibly escape the Trials for good
-
IIRC from what I read on the wiki, Vigo was hinted at the creator of the Black Lock as he experimented with creations both scientific and magical from the power of the Entity. I beleive the Entity stole his creations and Vigo, same as the others, began to lose his memories and became another victim of the Entity. It's possible that he possibly found a way to hide from the Entity itself as we never actually see him in a trial beyond his items from the Bloodweb
-
I wouldn't get your hopes up. Since Ghostface is based on the mask, and not the Film/Series on Netflix, it would be down to the license giver to grant the permission to give more cosmetics. I personally would love to see more Ghostface cosmetics since he's one of my main killers I enjoy using
-
It's starting to become a trend nowadays with Game devs becoming more and more silent with their fanbases. EA have become the most greedy devs with their constant loot boxes. Activision have done the same, but making their games so P2W it's unbeleivable. Bungie with recent D2 Shadowkeep was just a complete recycle of a single location from D1 and broken servers. Epic Games with Fortnite Chapter 2 has become so much of a grindfest that they're practically making people pay for that battle pass progression. I really hope BHVR aren't following trend with these devs actions, because I love DbD, but this battle pass thing is making me very concerned for the future of this game. I don't want everything handed to me on a plate from this pass, but if it's going to be a mega grind, it might not be worth even doing all that much. Nobody wants to spend hours a day grinding out for items when they have other priorities in life, or maybe even other games to be playing.

Ur right about that...i play both kill and survivor. When playing killer n want to go "easy" you get t bagged all the way to the exit gate.. n that gets old fast. So pretty much going try hard all the time is the way to go. Even wen ill get the cry baby messages. When i play survivor i just play to my best abilities. Only thing HATE the most is wen i get camped on one hook.( no tagging or being toxic) thats the one rule i try to follow wen i play killer. But hey you do you.
Same here. I try just play the games for fun. Too many people go super tryhard in this game. I despise my Rank going up because I 'succeeded' but really, you don't. You go higher and get killers who will literally tunnel you just so you die faster, and they get their precious emblem rise. When I play as killer, I'll have people being toxic toward me and after the 3 at once gen rush, I try to at least get one death, but if I fail that, then it's the usual tbagging at the exit, taunting me to 'Come at them' and having flashlights shone at me constantly. The game would be so much more enjoyable for me if there was just a non-ranked mode (Not Custom) where we could just all have a fun time. I think some people forget what the fun was in this game the second that number turns red
-
I don't get why people just assume because 'My rank is red so I'm unbeatable'. Even master players can mess up sometimes. Nobody is perfect, and there are good killers out there

That’s an interesting theory. AFAIK the only killer/survivor pair who are somewhat connected are Jeff and the Legion. But maybe there are more connections that we don’t know about yet.
There's also Dwight who in his Bio says about how his co-workers spiked his drink at the woods outing, and left him there and upon waking, he tried to hike out but was pulled into the realm of Fog. There was also Meg who went for a jog in the woods and vanished. This could be a possible link to the Huntress, who stalked the woods hunting, but this is a huge stretch as in the Huntress' bio, she came from a time during the war when Germans were attempting to take the Russian Empire.
Nea is linked in some way to Crotus Prenn Asylum as she headed there to tag the ruins, but wasn't seen again, linking her to the Nurse in a possible way. DLC survivors are pretty much obvious connections via their origins (Nightmare on Elm Street, Saw, etc).
I'm a bit of a lorehound so I look way too far into these things 😋
-
I had 4 Nea's at P3 in a lobby once. My instant reaction was: Challenge accepted. I failed said challenge, but it was a lot of fun attempting to go for them all
-
It could be that Claudette and Evan/The Trapper's pasts are linked, so it could be possible that other survivors/killers could have multiple links and have more than just the 2. I'd prefer to see more than just 2 per tome personally otherwise it would take a long time just to see all of the lore the game has to give
-
I'd love to see a Ghostface tome. I could just imagine it being him doing a blog style record of his kills where he kinda gloats over his kills. But I think the license givers would have to give the approval on any kind of backstory lore before they could be added.
-
I'm not salty about the delay but I was really looking forward to it. It's understandable people would be upset by this whole recent delay business. It's similar to Bungies recent mess ups with D2, with their plans for dedicated servers, which never happened, and then their newest DLC Shadowkeep being delayed, then breaking the servers, which still run like a potato. I get that the devs here aren't a huge company like EA or something, but with 3 years experience of running this game, surely they can understand the need for better communication. It's all well and good telling us there's a delay, but to leave it the day before the launch of the event is pretty poor communication no matter how you look at it.
-
@DelsKibara said:
I just hope the devs will extend the event.
From what they've said, the event will still run with the same amount of time, just starting at a later date. We just have no clue when that date is. I'm hoping it's at least at the end of the month, or early november, otherwise it kinda kills the halloween spirit

I agree, its pretty annoy when you are try to hook a survivor and then just gang bang around the hook but hey in the at least someone gets hooked! Lol
Well when they body blocked me like crazy, they helped me get the achievement for hitting while carrying, and also downed themselves. A 2 minute match and a free achivement. It was a fun time, for me anyways 😀
-
It's actually funny that survivors say killers do this, yet I've had games where they'll all block hooks to stop me from hooking their friend. Sounds like you just got a super salty player who just doesn't like seeing that skull beside their name. I'd just laugh it off personally. It just shows how toxic the playerbase can be at times.

@Raven014 said:
Hm... I mean, I haven't seen many players like that, myself, but I just move on and find the next game... see how I can do better, and such...
I do the same, but imagine how a new player must feel to join their first game as either role, do bad and then receive a message berating them and being hostile. It leaves the worst impression of the game on them, and chances are they won't come back. I've seen it on the Xbox Clubs where a new player simply posted asking for help since he was new, and was then attacked by several others telling him he's useless and needs to leave the game and don't come back because baby killers/survivors won't be tolerated and they'll make sure any game they have is hell. The player base on this game is already low enough, but to have people pushing more away isn't right. People all seem to forget that they were once brand new to the game and did the exact same things. We all have to start somewhere. Nobody is the best from the start
-
I've had similar experiences with players on Xbox myself where they feel the need to gloat over a win they had because they basically gen rushed me, then got super toxic saying I deserved to lose the match because 'That's what you get for playing a Ghostface'. Then proceeding to tell me to uninstall the game because I'm awful and noobs should just quit the game. Of course, the language was much more colourful, but these kinds of people, not only on Xbox, are the ones who slowly kill the games fan base. I can accept games where I do bad, but to have them go the step further and be hostile about it all is the lowest point anyone can go. It's just sad really
-
Imo the hatch doesn't need a perk. And if it did get any perk related buffs, survivor mains would despise it. I just make sure that once I'm down to the final survivors, or final gens, depending on the circumstances, I'll look out for the trapdoor and make sure if I'm going to be left with 1 survivor, I get that hatch first.
-
This list needs to be painted across every map wall when playing with randoms. So many times I've had a survivor unhook me with the killer 2 feet away ready to smack me back down again. Or running for a pallet in a loop only to find it's been destroyed. The best one is when a Gate is opened, and someones hooked, it turns into a every survivor for themselves moment and everyone just runs out. I feel like every game I'm the one sacrafice the killer has just so the randoms can escape. Horray for random teams :D

While im not a fan of the emblem system. I also dont want kills to be the sole (or heavily) deciding factor for pipping.
Some of us are not ready for Red Ranks or Purples for that matter. Basing it on kills would mean people would be reaching those ranks regardless just on play time alone. Sometimes its not skill that gets you 3ks or 4ks. Survivor mistakes can be a huge factor even 1 mistake can result in those outcomes.
Agreed. I personally hate the emblem system. It just makes survivors go super tryhard mode and gen rush everything just to prove they're some kind of amazing player. I'm currently Rank 11 on both Killer and Survivor and I hate it. Killers will always tunnel the unhooked survivors, and survivors always gen rush like crazy. I just want to be able to have a fun game and enjoy myself without having to stab adrenaline into my system just to keep up with the rushers
-
Why are you so triggered over this? Delays happen in gaming all the time, hell, even in the real world, things happen that we can't stop and unfortunatly it just means a short delay. I'd rather have a working event than a bug fest that stops people enjoying the event. People these days have no patience!

then i shouldn't be able to type post game comments???
Like I say, my experience with this is on console and we don't get the chat after the game so it could be something else
-
Honestly, I find it funny to see Survivors doing it at the gate, especially after I get looped to hell and back and fall for it all. It's more fun as Ghostface to join in. Usually when you join in with them in some way, it kinda negates the negativity for me and it's just a laugh. Sorta like saying GG but with crouching
-
I really don't see why a key is an issue. Sure, all 4 can escape at once, and it's a huge soul crusher to see it happen, but at the same time, how do you think the survivors feel when we lunge out a ebony and just insta kill them? Same feeling to them, trying hard to stay alive without dying like that. So really, if you nerf keys, nerf the mori's too. We all know neither will happen since it's all in fair game.
-
I think it's a glitch with the connection. On Xbox One, I've had killers wipe us all out, but the screen shows 0 points and say that the killer DC'd. It usually happens after the game gets the 'Unknown error' then I continue playing. Other than that, they could have DC'd just before the game fully ended

Correct, I was just referring to it as "classic robe" because that's essentially what it is for all intents and purposes, despite the fact it's not the movie robe but rather the Funworld costume.
The ribbon part of the costume is supposed to represent the connection Ghostface has to the Entity iirc. And adding Sydney would be the best DLC they could do. I get the Ghostface mask stuff, but let's face it. An official Scream survivor would make the DbD community go wild. And who wouldn't want to loop Ghostface as Sydney :D
-
Damn, Bill looks good young! I'd love to see more Bill cosmetics. I can't see why Valve wouldn't allow then to customize Bill anyway. Left 4 Dead has been long over for years now, and it's not like Bill wearing some new clothes changes him in anyway.
-
Honestly, I wouldn't let it bother you much. I play on Xbox One, and when I get literally owned, I get messages gloating and saying how I should uninstall the game, go back to Fortnite, the usual brainless messages. On the otherhand, when they get owned by me, I get the I cheated, I'm abusing perks, I tunneled/camped. I just don't understand where the days that gaming was all in good fun went. If we all had a good time, then hey, it was a win all around. No need for some many toxic players nowadays
