After some PTB gameplay I managed to get a screenshot of this mysterious figure without the blue UI in the way.

So, where do you guys think this fellow lives, who are they?

    He's not the Alchemist/Vigo, he's the Observer, a brand new character for the lore.

    how do you know he's a brand new character? i didn't think anything was confirmed

    My theory is that this is somehow linked to the Macmillan Estate and The Trapper. If I'm remembering right, the Entity had some huge link to that place, and as the guy seems to be sitting in what looks like a pretty large room, it's possible that's a mansion of some sort. Could possibly be the Trappers father. The item he's holding could be a Vigo creation, as he was known for experimenting with things from the Entity's realm, but the Entity began to steal them. Could be he created a way to extract survivor memories from the Fog and have a way to contain them for when the survivors possibly escape the Trials for good
