If they're going to just make Ranks a 'bragging' right in the future, they could just add a sort of scoring thing to it, like a Leage per season. Depending on the Rank you had at the end of each reset, it rewards you BP or even Shards. It would at least give Rank a reason, since right now it's pretty much just a colour with no meaning anymore.
