I was trying to encourage you to say what you mean instead of making the opposite point and then calling it hyperbole, because that's not a compelling argument. But since you've now resorted to personal attacks, I'd say that's a good spot to end the conversation.

Was not an opposite point at all as anyone can see. It was one point leading to another. So no need of your encouragement when you are the one who couldn't understand overall meaning of the words. There is nothing that I have stated that I took it as personal attack its just your personal interpretation of every words the whole time.

You're not listening to me. If the DBD devs were to listen to their players more, then by your logic they wouldn't need to play the game at high ranks themselves, just like those other developers who don't. Therefore, you're effectively saying that playing the game themselves is not the only solution - listening to their players is also an option, and a better one apparently, since that's what the developers of all these "top" games do.

They are not listening because they don't think the need to. But there is the need to. And the reason for that is clearly because they don't have enough experience in high tier games and cannot understand the importance of the feedback coming from it. Therefore I said the "only way" for them (THE DBD DEVS not OTHER GAME DEVS) to realize is to play their games themselves as in hyperbole to exaggerate that they really need to. Because that will improve the game quality heaps better like those top 10 games today. You really know what I intend and so does everyone else, you don't need to go around online and try and be a lawyer which you never can with that level of understanding :)

Your point was that the "only way" for the devs to make their game as good as these other games you're thinking of is to play it themselves. Which we've now agreed is not true, because that's not what makes those other games good. So according to what you've now established, what the developers actually need to do isn't play their game more, but listen to the opinions of those who do.

My point of the "only way" is for the developers to play their games themselves in high tier for them to agree and understand the same core issue the players go through. And I said in a way they really need to play their own game because they clearly show they don't understand what needs to be done with their game which are the things MAJORITY of the elite players are not satisfied with. I said devs can't apply EVERYTHING out of each individual player's ideas as some may be too subjective. And as far as I know the games that are very popular today do listen to the opinions to those who do and apply things that really have to be as they smartly understand what and why they are. And therefore for them, they do not need an action for themselves to make a good rational thought even if they don't play the game as much and good as them. But it is very obvious dbd devs really do need to.

You're disproving your own point. If those developers can create successful, well-balanced games just by listening to the opinions of the top players without playing at elite level themselves, then obviously it's not necessary for developers to be good at their own game in order to balance it.

Apparently no matter how reasonable the ideas of elite players are, they won’t rely on it at all. And that is where I felt they need to play their own actual game at a top tier level consistently. Of course all the devs shouldn’t and can’t apply everything out of each individual player’s mind, but they definitely have to have a point where they are able to share rational ideas which are so valuable that they cannot be rejected. So yeah I am approving my point thank you very much.

There are so many players being "high rank" that do not understand anything in this game and just being obsessed with one role, even some of those so called fogwhisperers. So playing this game in high ranks wont change anything.

I agree that there are lots of people at high ranks that are not good but there are still players who have over thousands of hours out there so some games at that tier are still very worth for the developers to experience against them for lots of games. But I do get what you mean.

  • @LetsPlayTogether said:

    What would this change?

Lots of problem they are facing. One big thing is the amount of players discouraged to play the game from various reasons that they have right now. And they are generally people who just started to play this game or have put in some hundreds of hours playing the game. The less people are discouraged to play the more players that will stay to play this game which means the number of players will rise in tremendous amount. And that will fix matchmaking issues which branches out to lots of problems in all the games.

  • @Fibijean said:

Do the developers of the "top ten" games you're referring to play their game at elite level?

they at least try to reference from the perspective of the players who are "experts" at the game rather than people who complains at the game than trying to improve themselves to the top level. That is for sure no doubt.

Your opinion about unbalanced things and irrational decisions about the bad killer match you just had in a sea of "I'm quitting" threads on the forums.

This game will never die. As the title is Dead by Daylight.

and for the past few years the daylight seems it'll never come...

Not just bad for killers. Just in general if we look at how non sense the ideas are that they bring up with. The statement of me discouraged to play killer anymore is one of the effects of their problem. And I’m sure its not just me. Many people have and will get discouraged from other illogical changes they’re about to put in. Very clear there I don’t get how some people just only focus on one bit and misinterpret the whole point of the post.

Awww are you sad that you lost your precious ruin? You make a lot of claims to irrational decisions but you should try using these thing called examples or your opinions have no value. And how would playing a bunch of games from genres nowhere near dbd help them improve the game? Last time I checked dbd wasnt a Moba,, shooter, or battle royale.

it isn't just the ruin. The ideas they implement in the changes every time are very very not logical. The ruin change might have been a great idea to change the meta or the style of the game if they looked forward to adjust necessary stuff along with it. But they say they won't and they have really irrational reason for that (boomer alert). From playing lots of popular games I could understand why they are the one of the top 10 games so far. And the way how their devs run it with patches are just far more rational and logical with the reference of greatly skilled players. And that's what they need to apply themselves in this game. Doesn't matter about different genres there. I hope you don't go around show your ignorance anywhere else and embarrass yourself.

  • whats the point of all these discussions?

boomers will tell you they read it but won't bother to reference it to the patch

  • @LemeTheMeme said:

Very constructive, must've just had a wonderful match.

This game gives me """wonderful""" match more frequently now.

  • @kreeper124 said:

And what was the point of posting this?

Point is to discuss and point out what I feel from playing the game as time goes on.

Feedback for the boomers if they even bother to care and take it to help themselves.

It is pretty clear point. Just surprising there are people who actually asks a pointless question very similar to "why do we live?".

  • Can Killers all just go on a strike and find another games to play until survivors get 30 min que time and realize how much this game is not enjoyable as killer?

There are amazing games like LOL and DOTA2 or Rainbow six that have smart developers balancing necessary things step by step.

  • @Peanits said:

I would hesitate to say that this is because of balance, but either way, I would absolutely suggest reporting stuff like that. We have a team of people reviewing reports and we do not tolerate that.

I'm definitely not saying all the toxicity is from the balance between two roles. I want to argue that developers are really bias and ignorant as much as such type of toxic people shown there. And the shared non-sense idea between them and the developers are whats making the most of the players suffer that they should care more about their choice of changes.

This game has always been like that. Every game with multiplayer had been like this so your statement is true but you could of just simply left if you didn't like it.

It's funny how people love to sit here and say there soft ass got bullied online on dbd but you can actually simply just leave and continue on with your business or you can fight back. Ofc people take this game seriously and some survivor mains can't seem to figure out that it really doesn't matter if you win or lose rank doesn't matter that much. If you love the game then play it if you don't like it don't play it.

That survivor most likely deserved to get caught though that survivor was more then likely useless like the rest of the useless baby survivors. The amount of useless baby survivors Is the equivalence to the amount of useless cod players that play snd and tdm. So about 85-90% useless survivors. You would understand if you played survivors. I don't expect killer mains to know. But yeah y'all good bye 👋

Yeah sure who cares about winning or losing in a game. We all might as well just not play our roles and just farm together and everyone gets thousands of bloodpoints and pip. And yeah going in a argument with people with no logic seems like a better time to waste than bringing these problems out in the community for people who actually have brains to have a think about it. If anything goes ######### with the game might as well go along with it and everyone should shut up and let the game that had big potential to go the wrong way and die and move on to next game and be stuck in the same loop. Actually sounds very nihilistic to me. Whats the point of playing dbd without competition between 2 roles? Whats the point of living if you not gonna exist to think and act in a respond to anything? Who is John Galt?

  • @Eceelf said:

A lot of people take this game too seriously

I agree as myself is one of those people. But I don't see anything wrong with people appreciating the game and value their self-improvement through competition of skills within fairly balanced system as that can be taken as big respect to the ones who struggled hard to make this game and maintain it.
