You must not have read what he said in his original post very carefully, because he clearly said "how long does the tier 1 lunge last". He even said as much in the post title. Again, maybe you should pay more attention to what someone says before you decide to ridicule them for it.

Okay you dbd analysis. Yeah you say that because you read the COMMENTS you weren't the one that was like me who has more then 3 braincells "well what is he talking about the lunge. The lunge goes away and goes into a different state until you hit tier 2" clearly you just repeated what the last guy said to me moron and i already went through the posts on this discussion after reading everything and when I commented. Then I realized what he said but u don't needa repeat what the last guy said dum as.

Saying "don't play immersed" could mean anything, usually when people say that they're implying that the OP themselves is immersed.

With enough practice though he'll understand how this will all work in due time, you're right in that regard. That's why I left such a massive list above to explain how it's so second-handed to some Survivors that face it all the time.

They don't directly look for the body, they look for signs and tells to where they'll go next, and just common sense to how the loop works.

Immeresed in the atmosphere aka crouching around and being a little baby using urban evasion. Don't be like those type of survivors y'all be a good survivor 😁

He's asking about the lunge, not tier 1 in general. There's no need to put him down in any case, but especially not for something he didn't even say.

Look bruh my bad I'm sure you read every body else's comment then stated your comment but I directly read what he said and made a comment I didn't look at anybody else and what they said. So there's a difference between your comment and my comment

There was a period of time where the sound was messed up...

The chase music was quiet and creepy, the ambient music was almost non-existent and you could hear survivor footsteps, grass shuffling, and breathing as they tried to hide too close to you. The ambient effects were audible and it enhanced the environment very well.

The atmosphere was creepy and more immersive even after how long I've been playing. It was a really enjoyable time.

I have damaged hearing from my time in the USMC with a side of heavy tinnitus and this "bug" was absolutely amazing while it lasted.

What map did this happen on ?

I don't think being immersed is why he's having issues with this, its more-so the lack of knowledge and in-experience with these loops that's giving him trouble.

I didn't say that he was immeresed I said don't be immeresed. I was giving him a tip. And yes I also realize that he was saying he was new and needed help with camera angles and that looping was his biggest weakness. Why do you think I said practice looping?

  • @Evelyn208 said:

Hi! New player here with about 100 hours so far on PC.

Chases and looping is my biggest weakness when playing Survivor by far. A lot of videos, guide or comments when they discuss looping never really touch on my biggest problem, keeping the Killer in sight, moving your camera around while making decision of where to go.

Either my camera and view of the Killer is on point and I get stuck on corners, trees, obstacles or I can run well, not get stuck and run tightly but I can't see the Killer unless there is a red light on my feet and I'm already done :)

Does anyone have specific tips, or know of guides or videos that specifically discuss how to manage camera movement and physical movement? Unfortunately the advice of "practice!" Is a bit self defeating when a chase ends in under 10 seconds of starting a loop :( not every time obviously but I can run a loop maybe max 3 times. Hard to practice when failure means no more practicing.

Play the game more. You'll get used more used to when it comes to when looking behind you and camera angles. It's not that hard to loop you'll be a master or a pro at it if you keep on practicing and doing it. But keep doing it. Don't get immersed buddy.

  • It lasts until you stalk kid have you never played Myers? You gotta stalk to get more of a lunge 😂

I know that cross platform play/progress isn't yet 100% confirmed to be coming to DBD but...

Regarding cross platform progress, I am getting a new PC soon. If I start playing the game on my primary Steam account now, and cross platform comes out in IDK 6 months, will I still be able to carry over my progress from Xbox? I have like 2500 hours on Xbox, so even if I play a lot on PC I'm still going to have WAY more content unlocked on Xbox. I'm afraid though, that if I start playing I won't be able to transfer progress unless it's an entirely new account.

Can anyone from BHVR gives me some advice here? Should I just wait until cross platform progress is available before purchasing the game on Steam or should I just play and not worry about it? I know much can't be said about what is or is not happening, but is this something you guys are planning for if/when it happens?

Instead of worrying about transferring your progress just play the game. It's not that serious of a game anyways and you should have fun with it more then you should rage in it. If cross platform comes out they might add a "sign in with Microsoft" feature or "sign in with PlayStation" or whatever feature to there game if they were to add it on PC. Idk that's just my opinion

After I vented my frustration about the changes of Ruin, I decided to look at it from the dev's perspective and why it was changed to begin with. And then, more importantly I looked at what made Ruin good to begin with and how it compares to now.

Ruin was a perk that applied pressure by having causing gens to regress of the great skill check wasn't hit. People believed that this made it really strong and put it at top tier. But in order for something to deserve to be top tier it has to come into account of the highest of play possible. Ruin ONLY applied pressure if survivors couldn't hit those skill checks. But what happens when they could? What happens when they can just hit those skill checks no problem? Then the perk is so useless it's not even worth going to look for it to break, which is apart of the pressure it applies. What we have is a perk that NEEDS for survivors to be bad at skill checks. It's a perk that required no skill on the killers behalf, you couldn't make more use out of it unless you had other perks. It depends on the Survivors only. Survivors could hit those skill checks and there's nothing the killer can do about it. This perk was HORRENDOUSLY unbalanced and unhealthy. If you weren't adapt as a new player at skill checks then Ruin DEMOLISHED you. However if you were good at great skill checks then Ruin was absolutely and utterly useless.

Now for the new Ruin. No matter how skilled the survivor is, the killer can pull up and chase them off the gen and it will regress. No matter what. By 3x the amount if you were to kick it. If you went up against a skill check savvy killer and chased them off the gen nothing would happen to that gen and there's nothing you could do about it, but now there is. And if by chance you get an early hook then they HAVE to leave the gens for a rescue or risk the game getting a lot harder because you're a man down.

My point is I realized not only Ruin wasn't that great of a perk, but as I write this post I realized that it was a straight up unhealthy perk, because of how much it needed survivors to be bad at skill checks. The changes are miles ahead of what Ruin was previously and I totally understand why the devs are happy with their in house testing now.

Tbh actually your end sentence was dumb. Ruin was good and I don't get why you wouldn't think it is good. Not only did u find it amusing and funny when ruin didn't go down in an instant but you would use that to your advantage because survivors don't like to push through ruin and rather would look for it.

It's funny how you said the perk wasn't good but it was actually good because when it didn't go down in the first 5 seconds it was ez to take control and kill survivors. To the survivors though it was almost balanced idk why they nerfed it. Anyone I watched who played the game or when I played the game I would actually get out and escape more then likely. But when I played killer it's like the survivors didn't stand a chance.

So ruin was actually a really good perk and it deserves what it got but it doesn't deserve a Nerf.

    • Farming
    • Crouch Walking around the map w/ Urban Evasion (DoING GenS, yOU?)
    • Leaving me to die on hook to finish a gen 0% to 100%
    • Pallet Camping, creating deadzones when it's time for me to be chased
    • Rushing hook, making the killer want to stay around
    • Getting in my way while I'm getting chased.
    • Wasting time looking for a well hidden Ruin and not pushing through it.

This is a perfect example for most of you. But really guys you guys got it all wrong what really annoys me Is the urban evasion and hiding around the map especially when the game is not scary. Tell me why people are hiding and stuff when it's not scary? Then these are the type of people that will talk majorly trash at the end of the game but they hid for a corner, did no gens or did half a gen and did one totem and opened every single box and have the most useless build

My number 2 for survivors is that how about you guys learn to loop more. It's really frustrating when playing survivor and all you get is a full team of mutant as morons who don't know how to loop. Literally they go down in 5 seconds and think they are good in a case. Nah anyone who plays like this and thinks you are good just shut up and step up your game it's really not that hard to loop a killer with no blood lust . So going back to my first point stop hiding and get out of the corner in the back and how about actually playing the game u scared puppy.

Idk if I have a 3rd. I just really hate survivors who can't loop and don't loop and using urban evasion and crouching around the map. I hate all 2 of those points. Please guys stop hiding just play the game. Maybe you would escape more survivors. 🙄 Jesus

Has anyone else gotten this message when playing as killer. I would get 4ks and get 28K BP and have survivors tell me to learn how to play the game. What do they mean by this?

Look it's clear. They mean that you did something they don't like and they don't like you as a killer. They find you annoying, sweaty, etc. I'm not taking shots at you but that's really what survivors think when they say that.

  • @TheGhostFaceMain said:

Pros: My queue times as killer are really short.

Cons: Can't grab. Goes through the animation on my side then stops when the survivors is suppose to start their animation. They instead just run away while I don even get a hit.

Haven´t played survivor yet so I can´t comment on that.

    EDIT: Spelling

Blame dedicated servers my guy. And u should really play survivor more if you are one of those killers mains that disagree with everything survivors say. But I'm neutral I play both sides. Between killer and survivors there both cool to play and have a different side. Ones chill and ones serious and sweaty. So if you are looking to be a sweat for a round then play killer guys! Nah actually don't play killer that sh*ts as

I don't think this is the answer..if cross come in the game then the pc players will have the advance

Look it's not about that kid it's about fun and who cares if killer on pc has advancements how many games you see with crossplay have a keyboard and mouse setup for Xbox and ps4/pc? Most of the time they have mouse and keyboard if they are gonna crossplay with all platforms but even still bruh the game would not only be better but the game would be more fun because you would be mixing it up and you could play with friends that play on PC , Xbox and PS4 . But if ur solo then idk if you like playing solo and don't care then keep playing solo. But still PC won't have that big of an advantage when it comes in this game. All it will do is help the game and make the game better. In my opinion that's what I think.

  • I'll tell you one thing that is very satisfying. Running a killer for 5 gens and escaping. It doesn't happen often but when it does you get a feeling that has never even been there before and it feels amazing.

I don't know what's funnier, someone pretending that one salty player represents all survivor mains, or the people in this thread who are so out of touch with reality that they think survivors are being catered to by the devs, despite the fact that the majority of balance changes since this game came out have been in favor of killers. You think I haven't gotten just as much hate mail from killers as I have from survivors? Face it: there are plenty of salty little crybabies who take this game too seriously on both sides. But you guys are too busy playing victim in your little echochamber to see that. Could you be any more biased; you guys are the reason the forums are so hard to take seriously these days. The sad part is there are plenty of reasonable, logical voices on both sides too, but they're drowned out by the precious little babies like some of you who flood this place with your hyper emotional drivel.

Clearly ur forgetting the point. This was "where dbd is heading" but it's been like this since it started kid this isn't a roast dbd session time it's a time to agree on the fact that his statement is true kid. Save ur happy as some time and use what u know on those killer main forums instead of getting all mad at both sides u idiot. Not only are u being a hypocrite by writing the same stuff as killers and survivors but you are just simply misleading kid ur nothing special idiot.

A big part of it is survivors are getting more and more favor from behavior as well as behavior babying low rank survivors that they get an ego to where they think they should never lose it's almost like behavior is a bad parent to them

Yeah I can understand that. Bhvr doesn't look at reports like at all so people aren't getting banned for racism and this, that and so on but I think a good little trash talk at the end of a game is fine. It's funny anyways and it's boring to always see "gg" in every game you play but yeah thats just my opinion.

But don't be doing trash talking every game, you'll be seen as stupid and no one will like you so just don't trash talk every game instead just move on some people aren't worth trash talking

My last post has been closed as I have mistaken to word it appropriately and I just wanted to post it again with a better argument.

It’s just a shame that lots of killer main people get abused with words like that as if they have all the power to change this game to favor themselves. And I also feel its honestly a disappointment how the BHVR are heading in a direction to make their games to favor such ignorant toxic low skilled players like that. I don’t really mind of any action to be taken for that player as there will be flawless amount of people like that unless they change the culture of dbd updates to finding the RIGHT problem and balance the game for two different roles. The post there was to show how the developers share the same thought with ignorant players who cannot think more wisely when approaching to very critical changes for certain role in the game.

    https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/236/YW4PNK18WM7D.jpg

This game has always been like that. Every game with multiplayer had been like this so your statement is true but you could of just simply left if you didn't like it.

It's funny how people love to sit here and say there soft ass got bullied online on dbd but you can actually simply just leave and continue on with your business or you can fight back. Ofc people take this game seriously and some survivor mains can't seem to figure out that it really doesn't matter if you win or lose rank doesn't matter that much. If you love the game then play it if you don't like it don't play it.

That survivor most likely deserved to get caught though that survivor was more then likely useless like the rest of the useless baby survivors. The amount of useless baby survivors Is the equivalence to the amount of useless cod players that play snd and tdm. So about 85-90% useless survivors. You would understand if you played survivors. I don't expect killer mains to know. But yeah y'all good bye 👋
