You have to realize that they didnt do that intentionally.
Sadly playing survivro has become so easy, that you dont have to use your brain, so survivors stop using their brain. I realized that I am starting to play like that too somtimes, quite shocking tbh -

Identity V has both Ranked and Casual Mode, and it has ranking rewards. It's daily as well so you get something everyday based on your rank

Full blown camping can happen on event gens. They usually park their ass on it because they know the other gens are worthless while that one isn’t on. In the end a regular gen is done, and everyone loses out. No event gen completed, killer completely botched the “kill” part of killer
That never happened to me, thats just plain stupid
and I doubt that any killer actually does that as a tactic unless he condeded the game already -

No all players were roughly the same rank, only +/- 2 difference.
I think the problem then is the monthly rank reset. If they got rid of that you would see more consistency in terms of rank level and skill.
Then everyone would be rank 1-5 because they made piping too easy

Clown is really good though. I just think because he doesn't have the power of Nurse or simplicity of Billy people don't like him.
Just looped a clown for 3 gens straight, sure he wasnt the best and did some mistakes, but actually I am a bad looper and only died because I made 2 mistakes too. And I didnt even abuse the big house loops
The gas is just too weak if you ask me
