It’s sad really that they came here just to say this one thing. I have a feeling a lot of these bugs will stay in the game for a while.
I think it's very likely that a patch fixing the biggest problems is coming next week at the latest (this is just a guess, there was no official timeline given that I know of). For the main problem isn't when the issues are being fixed, but that they are in the patch in the first place. The update should have been held back until it's ready. Minor issues like broken text are whatever, push the update and fix them later, but completely broken perks and a broken killer are not okay.

What's super frustrating is that the devs don't even give us proper answers anymore even when a thread like this blows up. We're met with crap like
"pLeAsE sTOp ssPrEAdInG nEgAtIvITy and DONT DISRESPECT US"
You don't force respect, you earn it. And you certainly don't earn it by turning 50 good people's profile pics into this because you didn't like their criticism.
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/AAG7DZR7S1YE/image.png
How about some real answers? "we're working on it" gives us ZERO INSIGHT. Be clear with us for once, tell us why the problems happen, an ETA on a fix, and maybe respect will go both ways between players and devs. But this just looks like a lazy joke.
tell us why the problems happen
This is the important part. ETA on fixes is nice but ultimately doesn't really matter all that much. These kinds of issues happen constantly, why do they happen? In this particular case a lot of the issues were known beforehand (or they couldn't be listed as known issues in the patch notes), but the patch was released anyway. Why? Why could you not take the time to fix the issues first and then release the update?
-
It's a bug, happens randomly.

Please remain respectful - it doesn't help anyone if critcism becomes unconstructive. Insulting the team or anyone for that matter never will be okay. We understand your frustration and we appreciate any kind of feedback, you totally are free to feel frustrated and upset, that is your right. When conveying those emotions, remain respectful and constructive. If this continues, the thread might get locked, so please avoid it.
It looks very much like you are trying to stop criticism. Don't like that look? Then don't post threats like that. And no it doesn't matter that this isn't what your intention is, that's what it looks like. There is an easy fix: (Temporarily) ban people making rulebreaking posts instead of threatening to kill off the thread for everyone.

We don't insult them. We critize them. We just don't understand how is that possible to make the new perks even more bugged than in PTB and yet still release it into the live version. Like what kind of game company do this kind of thing? Like come on, if they could at least listen for the feedback for once then the DLC would be enjoyable and awesome, but nope. Money as always are more important than community.
And this backlash regarding the update issues isn't new. There have been so many issues with many patches in the past, and it should be very obvious by now that players don't like that. But by ignoring the feedback, and releasing yet another patch with massive issues, issues that were known beforehand, it just looks like the developers don't care. And that's horrible, I am sure the majority of the developers don't want to release unfinished updates, but someone higher up is forcefully pushing the patches out the door. Whoever is not giving the team enough time to finish the updates should be getting the blame.

What happned with the old slider. Also why is the minium res 65 and why is it 5+ and -5 now?
I assume the only way to get the audio you really want is by editing the config files?
Wow, it was changed from a resolution slider, which is already super weird and something I don't think I have ever seen before, to a resolution slider that allows you to change it only in increments of 5%. Why can't it be a dropdown with options like every other game has it?
-
I want to point something out that is kind of implicit, but maybe not clear enough:
No one is blaming the art team, or the coding team, or the QA team or any of the other teams that I might have missed for this patch.
The blame lies with whoever gave the OK to release this patch in its current state. The teams have shown they can find and fix these issues, given enough time, they have done that many times in the past. But someone, most likely management, is not giving them enough time to do so. The blame goes to those members of the dev team, not the "content creators".
The team members working on the game itself are doing a great job, the problem is everything "outside" of the game is a huge mess, with rushed releases and weird decisions like the Halloween event debacle.

Coming soon: Panda suit for Clown. Locked set, obviously.

Coming soon: Turn-based Dead By Daylight. In your video it's currently the survivor's turn, that's why the killer can't move. Working as intended!

Im personally much more a fan of realistic "subtle" blood then the mountain of bloodgunk mud stuff they dropped on for example David Tapp's P3, its just hideous.
When its a bit more subtle you have room to combine it with other skins without it looking completely miss-matched.
When its a bit more subtle you have room to combine it with other skins without it looking completely miss-matched.
I'm sure the prestige weapon goes nicely with that new "pig guts" skin - oh wait nevermind that's a locked set 🤷
-
@BioX said:
Honestly, is there a single person who is happy with that?
Like if you wanted to run the set, just buy all 3 parts and run them together.....
I just dont understand, its not like its visually needed, this feels exactly like that transparent bullcrap that happened with the Leatherface skin, when it was released it was a locked set and then "suddenly" a big whoopsedaisy, you can actually get individual parts.....
I get it for the Elodie onesy, its literally meant to be one piece, its even in the name, there are no real seams, it has to be one part, FINE that is FINE.
But Charlottes one is bullcrap, same for Leatherface and many others.
Stop this nonsense!
Heck im sure you noticed, somewhat related, that a lot of purchases of auric cell skins were done on the discount SIMPLY BECAUSE, FOR ONCE, we could actually buy PARTS on discount instead of the entire damn SET.
If you are forced to buy the set then they can squeeze more money from you. If everyone bought only the piece(s) they actually wanted then the amount of money spent would be less.
In this case though it might be changed again, like for Leatherface.
1) Release new locked set
2) Some players buy it because it's new and shiny, some of which only want one piece but they have to buy the entire thing because it's locked. "Well I only want the chest piece, but I can't buy only that, so I guess I will buy the whole set even if that means I have to spend more money"
3) Other players don't buy it because it's a locked set
4) Wait a bit, then "unlock" the set
5) Now players who previously did not buy it will also buy the set or at least pieces of it, and you can deny refunds to everyone who bought the entire set when it was locked because of the EULA
6) ???
7) PROFIT

Is there a reason why it wasn't fixed with release? Is there no internal testing done before all this? As it stands, it seems there is little in the way of actual playtesting to see what goes out.
The problems are listed as known in the patch notes, they knew about them before release. They only care about money though so they pushed it out anyway.

That's all well and good, but this shouldn't have been released at all until everything was fixed.
Exactly this! It's not like these are super unexpected issues that were impossible to find beforehand. In fact, they were found before the release, or they couldn't be mentioned in the patch notes.
In the past it looked like that maybe the QA was lacking, and certain issues weren't found before the release. But with this there is no excuse. The issues are known, the issues are not minor, they should have been fixed before release.

Nah, nothing trumps Legion fiasco. Still, that doesn't mean this chapter doesn't have so many problems that need fixing.
Freddy was so broken that he had to be emergency nerfed and kept nerfed until a complete rework could be done.
On the other hand Ormond had to be disabled because it was causing crashes, and Legion was also completely busted and had to be reworked, though only lightly compared to Freddy. I think because for the Legion chapter a killer and a map were broken whereas for Freddy it was just a killer, I agree with you that the Legion chapter was the worst one.

I dont like the outfit imo, I understand it for the Christmas session but dwight and feng had understandable outfits as in you could see them walking down the street with their outfits but the reindeer onesie is just a big no with me. To start they look like pajamas, somthing you would wear on Christmas day or eve, so they look really, REALLY out of place in DBD.
I realized there are actually more exceptions to the "person on the street" thing: The survivor Halloween outfits.
Jake for example has goggles and Blight goo all over him. No one on the street would wear that, but it still fits the theme of the game. These items make sense in the context of survivors changing while in the Entity realm. Or: some kind of alternative reality, which Claudette is being set up for in the of the latest lore entries, and which will presumably be used to explain the upcoming "breakdance" outfit (the one from the design contest).
While you could say that there is some alternate reality where it's always christmas and people wear onesies all the time, that seems way too extreme. An alternate reality where everyone wears the kind of clothes that are used for the Halloween survivor skins sounds more plausible, to me at least.
An alternative view: How would you feel if every survivor, always, was wearing a onesie? Does that seem like it fits thematically? Now do the same experiment with all the other outfits. With the exception of the Dwight elf outfit I think it would work for all of the other cosmetics. Would it look weird if every survivor had a variation of that Nea hoodie outfit (with the spray cans) and every survivor always used that? Not nearly as much as every survivor wearing a onesie.

Just to give you a heads up, this issue will be fixed in the upcoming hotfix.
I assume the hotfix is coming soon. Why couldn't you wait that short amount of time for the hotfix to be ready, and then push the update with the fixes?
Quality issues are not new. When you announced that you are going self-published, parting ways with Starbreeze, you said you would have more control over the updates, with the implication that you would be able to take your time to polish the patches and release them in a working state. This patch has clear issues, that you knew before it was released, so why couldn't you take your time to polish it?

@FFirebrandd said:
Doesn't seem any worse than the Dwelf skin tbh.
That skin is not a locked set, the hat and the chest piece work as "general wintery" pieces (the chest more so due to the ears on the head). You could wear these on a random winter day and it wouldn't be as weird as the onesie.
@Mandy said:
I think it's cute and I don't see how it doesn't fit - we have Dwelf in the game and Bunny Feng. I really do not see an issue with this.
Bunny Feng has only the head as the "weird" part. Wintery hats should liked this exist and it wouldn't be as weird to wear that hood as a onesie in public. This may be a cultural thing but here it would be very weird to wear a onesie in public.
@Rubix said:
So the frickin' legion bunny was fine?
Yes because that's not a survivor. Killers can look weird as hell. For survivors the standard used to be "random person on the street could look like this".

Hey, sorry for the confusion, you can find the Privacy Policy under the Help & Tutorials section, not the settings menu. We'll get in contact with the team to see if we can get that message updated to avoid any further confusion.
Thanks, I can find it there!
If I understand correctly the planned fix is to update the news message, which likely doesn't require players to download an update.
Can you move the "REVOKE CONSENT" button over to the Help & Tutorials tab or include a button on the Settings tab so they are on the same page in a future update please? If someone reads the privacy policy and wants to revoke consent then it might be confusing where the button for that is, as they might have missed it on the previous tab. It just seems more logical to have the two buttons be close together because they are strongly related.
-
I don't think whoever is making these blindness add-ons knows what the status effect actually does.
Maybe there was a plan to have it actually reduce the vision of survivors, by zooming in the camera or something like that, but that change was not pushed to live and now whoever is making the add-ons thinks that blindness actually does something useful.
If you play as killer and use the add-ons you won't know that what it's actually doing. And if you play survivor you never encounter the add-ons because they are awful. So whoever is making them is still under the impression that the status effect is actually very strong, because they never experience it.

@Clevite said:
This kind of logic drives me crazy. This is poor survivor gameplay capitalized on by the killer.
At some point if ######### is going down hill fast, you all need to get away and regroup. Cross the map and heal up. Then split up , someone goes for the save, others do the gens.
If you all are going group up and keep kamikazing in for saves, well 4k ez , thanks for the double pip.
I feel like rushing the hook is likely to give you more bloodpoints though, at least per amount of time spent. You die faster but you are getting a big chunk of bloodpoints in that short amount of time, instead of a similar amount spread out across a longer period of time. It can also be more fun, especially when the other three survivors are doing this, and you are sitting on generators without any interaction while everyone else is having fun.
In theory a meaningful rank system would alleviate this somewhat, as rushing the hook and going down a lot will likely decrease your chances of getting a pip as opposed to playing smart and working on generators or regrouping to heal.

Oh i feel it so many things to change:
at the tippity top of the list for QoL: make her M2 a full commit please for the love of god stunning myself because i undershot her m2 hold time by 1 millisecond and stunning myself in the middle of a chase is the worse
decrease the movement speed reduction for charging a corrupt purge
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1751753#Comment_1751753
i would also love to see a longer cleanse time
corrupt purge needs a soild buff like a large speed increase during currupt purge and not charging or holding
right now people love to say "well no one ever clenses so she has a one time use power" but in my games i just never see this. if i can get everyone fully infected i use my currupt and that eats through enough hooks to make them think again about being injured and from there it only takes one clense and then you win and its an easy win.
there are other games where they know the exact timing of vomit and arc and be near impossible to hit and they know it and they will clense constantly to the point of auto corrupts but i cant commit to chases because they will go 3 man a gen in 20 sec and i cant get them out of the tight corners
aside from that plague more than any other killer's games tends to drag out games. you know the drill 2 dead 2 alive the 3 or 4 final gens are infected the survivors arent and no one does anything for 5 minutes. also her perk corrupt intervention does the same thing : players see its you you infect the unblocked gens and nothing happens until 2 minutes go by and your down a perk.
plague's best part of her power is still worse than just playing huntress in alot of circumstances what does corrupt purge have on huntress really? crowd control for when you see a bunch of survivors together which is rare outside of healing which they dont do against plague.
at the tippity top of the list for QoL: make her M2 a full commit please for the love of god stunning myself because i undershot her m2 hold time by 1 millisecond and stunning myself in the middle of a chase is the worse
This is such an easily noticeable issue, and it happens all the time. I really don't understand why this hasn't been changed yet.
right now people love to say "well no one ever clenses so she has a one time use power" but in my games i just never see this. if i can get everyone fully infected i use my currupt and that eats through enough hooks to make them think again about being injured and from there it only takes one clense and then you win and its an easy win.
Use Blood Echo. Being infected trumps Iron Will, which is a common perk. Blood Echo disables the exhaustion perk more or less permanently, and everyone is using an exhaustion perk. Very often you can completely shut down two entire perks on all survivors by playing Echo Plague.
Other big Plague issue: Her bloodpoint gain is absolutely awful. That is likely one of the reasons she is so unpopular.

Because it’s -the- bad killers crutch. I’ve seen it countless times, potato killers go from 0 kills to 3-4K only because of NOED.
I never use NOED as killer. I refuse to.
For the majority of the game you are playing against a killer with three perks instead of four because NOED does literally nothing until it activates. You are saying bad killers are getting kills only because of NOED. Therefore you are playing against killers who are bad, and who in addition to being bad, only have three perks until NOED activates. If you can't consistently stop NOED against a bad killer with three perks or play around NOED activating by opening the gate only when the killer isn't near you then it's not the killer who is playing badly, it's you.

I'm new to the game, what the hell are some of those like the Cube and Props?
Cube was what reworks were originally called. Except for Wraith, there it was called Trapezohedron for some reason. The first cube was I believe the Victory Cube, which changed the pip system from being based on bloodpoints (yes that was a thing) to I believe number of kills and escaping, before it was changed to the emblem system.
The Props system still exists but is completely useless. After the game you can click on players on the scoreboard, which opens the report menu, but the left-most option lets you make a "positive report", kind of like in Overwatch for example. For a short while the players who have gotten the most props were mentioned during the devstreams (which by the way are also more or less dead, at least in the original format) but that was stopped because supposedly people were farming the props or something. They might still be tracked, but they haven't been used for anything in forever.
-
That idea went the same way as the Cube system, the Give Props feature, the updated report system, the fun rating, rank rewards (year 3 roadmap), the yearly roadmaps, the summer event, leaderboards, updated totem placements (the asylum has at least one that is literally just in plain sight; map reworks might fix that though), the multiple map variation system (preschool map) and anniversary event. And probably many other things I am forgetting.
In other words: It's dead.

That seems to me like there is a high chance of getting you permabanned from the game. Which is also something that at least the Steam EULA allows, but I don't know if that applies to the console EULAs as well.

Here's my thoughts in the simplest terms. I'm saying that for me personally, if they add an lgbt character and include it in their story in a good way, similar to legion or nurse's then it's fine.
All I want from bhvr from the lgbt character is for them to not go over the top with their involvement in the lgbt community. They didn't go overboard with any confirmed straight characters and I don't want them to go overboard with the lgbt ones.
And no, you never directly said that you wanted me to share that about myself. But you're painting a very nasty picture of me right now.
And as far as bhvr going deep into subject like homophobia etc, that's fine. I'm not talking ONLY about lore right now.
TLDR: I just want bhvr to implement an LGBT character like with legion or nurse etc. They can either take the subtle approach or the more noticeable one like legion. And yes they can implement an lgbt story like legion without it being the whole story.
Subtle is good, but I am worried it will be something like this:
"Gaylord (actual name that exists) the new survivor hopped down the rainbow-colored stairs homosexually to kiss his strong, sweaty daddy-boyfriend on his queer, lucious masculine lips. Then he left his Barbie-colored house to go to his job at Sauna Beefcake. But he was run over by a car and woke up in the Entity realm."
It shouldn't be the character's only defining feature. Just fit it in naturally in the backstory.

There is nothing written in the lore or any other official source that would indicate any of the characters are LGBTQ+. Of course, we cannot say for certain that none of the characters are LGBTQ+, although it’s clear that the promised representation has not yet been delivered.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1744169#Comment_1744169
I don’t see why this would be an issue. Some LGBT+ people do fit stereotypes and others don’t. We shouldn’t demonise people either way.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1744170#Comment_1744170
True. They didn’t give any indication of timeframe but if they’re going to make such a big announcement about it, you’d assume they have something in the works already. As the original post states, we’ve had 4 new characters since and countless lore entries in the archives. There’s definitely been ample opportunities to write an LGBT+ character.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1744178#Comment_1744178
This comes across as very tone-deaf. The developers said originally they wouldn’t go into detail about characters sexuality, relationships etc and then went back on that stance by writing heterosexual pairings into lore, cosmetic sets, artwork etc. LGBTQ+ people exist and deserve to be able to identify with characters in the same way heterosexual people can identify with the straight relationships in game. You might not “demand” a straight character but they exist in the game regardless. It’s only fair LGBT+ relationships are represented too. Nothing about LGBT+ characters are “woke”. The character roster should reflect the player base in a way that allows everyone to find characters they relate to. It’s clear that LGBT+ people are playing DbD just like straight people, how is the addition of such characters “pointless”?
Of course, we cannot say for certain that none of the characters are LGBTQ+, although it’s clear that the promised representation has not yet been delivered.
Exactly. I want to add something here: It's important that, even though existing characters may be LGBTQ+, it is openly stated. A lot of LGBTQ+ "live in hiding" because of the very real possibility of ostracization (being shunned by family / society). No one should have to hide that. By increasing the visibility of LGBTQ+, even if it's "just" a video game is important to show that being LGBTQ+ is nothing to be ashamed of and that it is unacceptable for those people to have to hide.

dude its just extremely annoying considering that this is a horror game where that is un necessary
There are a lot of things in the game that aren't strictly necessary, such as the character backstories. But they exist, and they enrichen the overall experience, and it makes sense to push for representation because it does not properly exist yet in the game.
From my perspective it makes no sense to push back against this, because it doesn't affect anyone negatively. Using the backstories of characters as an example, either you read them or you do not. If you do then you get more varied and natural stories, and that is a positive for anyone reading them. While anyone who doesn't read them isn't negatively affected at all.

I'm hoping they one day add a character like the pyro in tf2 where it was a complete mystery what his gender and orientation was.
Finding purses and stuff in Pyro's locker was so fun
While a character's sexual orientation has no impact on gameplay i guess we can all agree that lore is designed with a very specific purpose, to flesh out and convey a sense of identity to it, sure, Felix having a pregnant wife does nothing gameplay wise but the devs still made it part of who he is
Exactly, which is why I think it makes sense that characters aren't just casually rewritten for the sake of representation. It's preferable to wait and have a character designed from the ground up instead of having the backstory changed as an afterthought.
So if any normal person can care for a fictional character's struggles and burdens, why are LGBT struggles not as valid? why do they need to be justified ?
And also exactly this.
The fact that there is such (in some cases extreme) opposition to a simple discussion such as this shows why it's important to fight for representation. It shouldn't have to be a big thing, it should be natural.

i hope y'all are right and the devs will not pull that "what promise ?" card and they are actively working on creating a good queer lore for a character and not just forgot two days after saying it was so important
to those who "dont care about sexuality" then where were you to complain about Felix having a wife, David having a girlfriend, Nurse and Wraith ship, etc I just think it shows stuff.
Anyway, i hope i dont die of old age before it happens (Object of Obsession rework definitely will not happen before i die tho)
To show that the developers care they should add a Pride charm, as creating the character might still take some time. It is a small but relevant gesture and should be relatively simple to do.

I left it out because I don't think it changes the fact: You can't be decaying and aging at the same time.
But I can edit it in if you think the statement is misleading without that part.
I understand that he is supposed to be an adult but I just think the lore contradict that.
I'm sorry if I was rude to you, that wasn't my Intention, this Chapter and the Devs way of handling the expectable discussion of the baby/child thing just dissapoints me, so I might be a bit unfriendly in my responses.
You can't be decaying and aging at the same time.
[...]
I understand that he is supposed to be an adult but I just think the lore contradict that.
I think you are completely right and I want to emphasize your argument a bit.
Charlotte is intended to be young, barely old enough to be considered an adult. As you point out it makes no sense to say you are aging when you are dead. Victor was dead. While he was dead, for an unspecified amount of time, he did not age.
Charlotte is barely old enough to be an adult. Victor is younger because he did not age while dead. Therefore Victor is younger than "barely old enough to be an adult". That means that at the very least he is a child, even if not a baby / toddler. It is not specified for how long he was dead, or how old his sister is, so he could still technically be barely old enough to be considered an adult if you count only the time he spent alive. The backstory does not state this explicitly, and because Charlotte is young and due to how Victor looks, moves and sounds I think players are definitely supposed to see him as a baby.
If you age while dead you could add a new killer, "The Zombie" that is literally just a a zombie baby. As long as it has been in the zombie-state for long enough (21 years should be safe, but you could also make it 100 years to be extra sure) then by the same logic it's not a problem anymore. But I think everyone would agree that that killer would definitely be a baby even if the physical body is technically old enough to be an adult.

He is NOT a baby. He is Charlottes twin brother. There is no baby kicking in DBD.
I think you are wrong.

No.
He is intended to look like a baby. He has the size and shape of a baby. He has a high-pitched voice like a baby. His run animation is toddler-like. He is supposed to be a baby.
!------- SPOILERS FOR BLASPHEMOUS FOLLOW -------!
Here you can see Nacimiento, from Blasphemous, who has a similar situation going on: https://preview.redd.it/gdhnlzlpgad51.jpg?auto=webp&s=19e1e7b65c47afc6dee2687f9cd65e6e0752498f
Instead of a baby growing out of his chest it is an old man. It very clearly looks like an old man. As you progress the story it begins to climb out of his chest https://preview.redd.it/ixsfq78rgcc51.jpg?auto=webp&s=4c334833ec82bc503f3f3935826619f30c813c48 and as a result looks even more like an old man.
It is possible to make a person growing out of someone else's chest look old. This was not done in the case of Victor.
!------- SPOILERS FOR BLASPHEMOUS END -------!
The sister looks intentionally young (but still old enough to be legally an adult), but definitely not old. To be on the safe side it would have been very easy to make her an old woman, then it would be more believable that Victor is not supposed to be a baby. She looks young though, and so does Victor, because he is supposed to look like a baby.
Further steps to make him not look like a baby would have been to give him a beard, or hair, and explain it in the lore with "even though he was dead, his hair kept growing and he didn't decompose". The part about him not rotting is already in the lore. These steps were not taken.
Why?
Because he is supposed to look like a baby.
Almost no one who is unfamiliar with the game (= has not played / does not play the game) will look at him and think he is not a baby.
Almost no one who is playing the game, but has not read the backstory, will think he is not a baby.
Why? For the reasons outlined in my quoted post above.

Please remember this is not a baby, Victor is Charlotte's brother.
Is it against the forum rules to refer to him as a baby, yes or no? Will posts be deleted or users be banned for referring to him as a baby? Because he very clearly looks like a baby, and a lot of people are going to call him baby, and from the forum rules as they are currently written I don't see why it would not be allowed to call him a baby.

Yes its NVIDIA filters, if it was not allowed BHVR would simply had disabled it by now.
They also confirmed you are allowed to use Reshade another program similar to NVIDIA filters.
Are you sure Reshade is whitelisted and not greylisted, i.e. it's not actively being banned for but that could change at any time and if you get banned you won't be unbanned?

Just got out of a game that 2 of the survivors decided to troll from the very beginning, never do gens and hide. So the other 2 survivors gave up and the last 2 hid. It took me a good 15 minutes to find them, because of course one of the hiders burned an offering so we could go to temple of purgation, the largest map in the game.
I had tinkerer, and they never touched a single gen for 15 minutes. Eventually i got lucky and found one of them.
Can we please make it so if survivors do this kind of thing they get crows? Its ridiculous.
For now all you can do is record video evidence and make a support ticket.
An in-game solution for this should really be added though, but this situation might be too rare for it to be a priority.

Having items exclusives is something that the developers explicitly want. It's more effort to remove the items than just letting people keep them. Therefore players not having them is intentional.
Any sort of licensing agreements do not apply to all of the items either, such as the "Crew" shirt for Nea, and possibly others.

This is an almost exact copy of my post here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1564045/#Comment_1564045
I made it into its own thread so it becomes easier to find it again later, and to give the developers a chance to prove that they are at least reading criticism by using the "BHVR Read" reaction without the need to write a response, which is not available on posts as far as I know.
Battlepass cosmetics release a minimum of 6 months after each battlepass closes. For the first battlepass the earliest date would have been in early July. Nothing was released. No information about when that is going to happen either.
Here is why I think that situation is bullshit:
- no one was asking for a battlepass system
- no one forced them to release a battlepass when it clearly wasn't even ready (example: first battlepass has a completely purple arcade cabinet charm - it looks awful, it would have been easy to make it look passable by giving it some sort of texture that isn't literally all purple)
- no one forced them to announce that they would release the cosmetics a minimum of 6 months later
- they clearly had no plan how or when they would release the cosmetics. The 6 months is just a lazy excuse to shut down people saying the battlepass is predatory by forcing people to grind the game for an unreasonable amount of time for fear of missing out on items

What happens when The Rift closes?
If you missed some rewards in The Rift, most of them will eventually be available in our in-game store after a minimum period of 6 months. (More details to be revealed at a later date.)
There are still no details though. No information about when they will release.
And yes I know that it says minimum, but minimum can also mean 10 years from now. They could have taken their time to flesh out the release plan for their battlepass system, but they did not. They needed to buy themselves time to come up with something because almost certainly their original plan was to make the cosmetics exclusive to the battlepass, but that would have made them look bad, so they came up with an excuse in hopes of finding a solution after they released the battlepass.
(More details to be revealed at a later date.)
The battlepass was announced during the year 3 livestream. That was on May 31st 2019. That is over a year ago, and should have been more than enough time to come up with a plan on how to handle the release of the battlepass cosmetics into the store.

They say a ticket is "solved" whenever it's being looked into. I had the same issue but I appreciate support keeping me updated on their lack of information- at least I know they're as in the dark as I am, and they're trying to fix it.
What happens when a ticket is really solved (as in "finished"), is there a different status for that? If yes then the "Solved" should probably be renamed to "In progress" or so. If there isn't one then it really should be added, the current label is really confusing if it can be used for tickets that are still being worked on.

Remove the beard, give him glasses

And as much as I love the dc penalty It has stopped me from playing the game.
You are ruining the game for four other players by constantly crashing.
-
It worked for me when I vaulted something that caused a drop, such as windows on Haddonfield upper floors. Try that, maybe it doesn't work if you just fall off someone and it has to be a vault.

They probably can't remove them because people might have spent them already, so they'd have to identify everyone who has gotten the Auric Cells from the bug and then check how many of those were spent and on what and remove those items. Seems like a lot of work.
It may also not be possible / easy to give everyone free Auric Cells because the different platforms almost certainly get a % cut of all money spent to purchase Cells.
Easy solution to make it fair for everyone: Make the next battlepass free. It costs exactly 1000 Auric Cells. Some people will get "double dips" of free battlepass and free Auric Cells but this way at least no one is left out.
