Two things I want to say:
1. Billy? He still exists. Ofc, he is not that strong like nurse. But honestly, he comes really close to her. Can he get looped? Yes, but after mastering curving it's less painful and survivors will ######### their pants. Give him spirit fury and enduring with some good addons and he's absolutly crazy and really fun.
2. Survivors don't jerk versing a nurse? Let me tell you from a game I just recently had:
Waiting in my lobby for survivors. ObviousSWFwithKey.mp4
Picking nurse.
Offeringscreen: They used THE GAME map lmao
One flashlight clicked at me the whole time, ignored him just for fun, cuz I know getting ignored hurts their feelings more.
4 slugs in 1 minute.
But yeah, usually survivors respect nurse unless they notice you suck. These guys however had some huge balls clicking at a P3 nurse on this map. Maybe they knew it's already over anyway? Who knows -
You could add requirements for that. For example, every 10th escape, you can chose the killer 1 time. Or after hitting rank 1 you can chose 10 times a killer to verse. With these requirements survivors couldn't use that option very often and lobby times wouldn't go into an extreme.Bbbrian2013 said:@Master said:
Are you willing to wait 20x longer aswell?Wouldn't this kill killer queue times? Imagine trying to get a match as a Legion or Nurse player.
Everyone would be choosing Myers or weaker killers like Freddy and Trapper.
(Btw these are just random numbers, tweaking them would be obviously necessary) -
Simple but great idea. But this would be like a band-aid fix, I would rather want the devs fixing the matchmaking.

The third guy who says she always can destroy if the skill is there.UwU said:Definitely not overrated, if you know how to play her correctly, she can absouletely destroy, so it makes sense that she was be used a lot.
Can at least you tell me how a huntress has even a chance on farm maps? -
Billy it is! Give him enduring + SF, put on addons for reduced cooldown and you will be a beast. Obviously if you played nurse 24/7 you forgot/never learned how to shorten a loop, how to "zone" etc but after that looping won't be an issue (besides some bullshit window house loops, but usually it's smarter to leave that survivor and go for someone else. I know, "crazy" tactic compared to nurse lol)
-
Let's be honest here, pipping is more like a participation trophy than any indication of winning/losing.
-
You basically said it. Holding M1 all time, and if you get chased you don't really feel the same satisfaction with other killers mindgaming etc. In fact, legion has only to FF hit you once and can still down after that without really chasing you by doing moonwalking. I never understood how any survivor enjoys versing Legion, I would take p3 omegablink nurses all day long instead of versing Legion lolEveline said:Why do you people hate Legion so much? I don't get it. Most decent ones go for everyone and don't tunnel or camp. Just mend and don't heal and work on gens. -
10% per token, so at the end you have the same speed with 4 tokens you normally get with 8 tokensNova_Terra said:So, would it still be 5% per token? Sounds more like a nerf

So you basically think that huntress isn't depended on maps at all and a skilled huntress can destroy survivors on any map?xmenfanatic said:She's not overrated. Some people just aren't as good with her as they would like to be.
-
I would stop with DLCs, would rework perks, killers and the endgame and at the meantime the cosmetics team would make sure that money keeps flooding in. After all issues are fixed, I would continue with new game modes and DLCs
-
Its the struggle of a solo survivor, mainly because a terrible ranking system which allows potatoes beeing at high rank. And usually at high ranks are tryhard killers, so it's frustrating.
I could count with both hands how often I was playing solo and my mates where decent. Rare, really rare. -
Why do you respond like this to my question to that other guy? I'm confused lolWeederick said:@HavelmomDaS1 said:

A good Huntress can counter good survivors quite easily.
Explain to us then how you counter a smart survivor at any farm map.
Huntress is one of the best killers against good survivors. Spirit is around the same strength, but less dependant on creating opportunities and more based on her cooldowns. Could be better or worse. Against a good coordinated swf, Spirit may be too slow due to her cooldowns, while Huntress can snowball quickly with a few good shots. Against average survivors, Spirit could be more consistent overall, if you dont need Huntress potential. Imo Huntress is the most balanced killer and deserves her toptier spot.

Warning: If you have not checked out my previous dying state QoL change then this thread might not make sense to you. Please give it a quick read so you'll understand how this new system will work.

Dying State Changes:You know that moment when you recover from dying state and you instantly stand on your two legs as if you could've done that all along? Let's change that!
Whenever you recover by yourself, the survivor will go through a short animation. The survivor will use their hands to move their body into a position where they can use their knees to stand themselves back up. This will take anywhere between 3 to 5 seconds since after all, you were just dying on the floor.
If a teammate helps you recover then they will grab your arm and pull you back to your feet taking a solid 3 seconds to complete. Then, if they so please, they can continue to heal you like normal.
Would this be an okay feature to dying state?
Agreed, its 3 times easier to pick someone up of dying state so slugging has become really difficult.
Id like to see such an animation
Wow, thank you for the amazing feedback! You definitely told me why you disagreed with my idea, great job!

I don't want them to buff or nerf slugging anymore. It is good where it is right now. This is why I didn't like your previous change where you could get yourself back to feet on your own with medkit etc.
Slugging is already powerful and have counters. I don't think it needs a change right now.
Honestly speaking, I don't think a few seconds would hurt. However, if it does more harm than what I think, I wouldn't be opposed with decreasing the times since after all, my goal is to add a realistic factor to picking yourself up, not buff slugging.

We don't need new perks, we need reworks of the old bad perks. We are already swimming in so many perks and an insane grind. When is it going to stop?
-
I don't watch streams, but whenever I watch a video of them on YouTube highlighting how they completely stomp and destroy survivors withing 2 minutes I'm not really impressed, I'm just thinking "well, nothing that special against those bad survivors right?"Delfador said:Huntress depends on skill.
Killer mains like umbra, zubat, scott etc. get 3-4k almost all the time with her.
I love her because if the killer is skilled, she gives them their kills, if the players are not good, she is a horrible killer.
We need more killers like huntress, spirit and nurse (I can't believe I say nurse but whatever) that rewards skill and punishes bad gameplay.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not discrediting these streamers, I'm just saying that I all I see on YouTube is how they stomp potatoes, I never really saw a match of them how they verse really good survivors and I'm pretty sure that if they verse those good survivors (aka death squads) their skill won't help them out because of the limitations huntress has -
U are aware that they nerfed slugging before while they buffed sabotaging + introduced Jeffs hook destroyer perk? It's like the devs punshed the killer into the face. Twice.Delfador said:I don't like this.

I love when a survivor teabags me, I just nod like saying "alright you want to be next? No problem" and it's even funnier if I down them in under 15 seconds (usually they rage quit after that)
-
Just for reloading with huntress worth, other than that it's a gimmicky perk (-> useless 99% of the time).
Btw, I played like 100hrs with huntress and this perk, I ONLY downed 2 survivors during that much time with the exposed status effect -
I like that, it basically reverts the (imo stupid) slugging nerf the devs introduced with 99% self recovering.
-
But you are wrong. Whenever you can turn the tables after 3 gens got done and one single hook it's 100% the survivors messing up like absolute potatoes. There is no way to win that against optimal survivors, especially not against smart swf groups (by winning I mean 3+ kills).thesuicidefox said:@Cymer said:
There is an entire thread from AlwaysInAGoodShape where he shows how important a good start is.
How crucial the first hook is and how much DS can cost you the momentum, especially on non obsessions.I'm not denying a good start can win you the game. My point is that you can gain momentum at any point in the game, and that you can hold onto that momentum a lot easier as the game progresses because it's easier to protect 4 gens than it is to protect 7, as long as they are close enough together. Which is why I bring up the point about super gen rush the moment Ruin goes down. If it's 5 gens, and you have a lot of momentum, survivors will go the extra mile to shift momentum back to their side, which is why you see gens pop super fast after Ruin is out. A weaker start gives survivors a feeling of security in that they don't need to play harder to get ahead or stay ahead, giving you an opportunity to pull the rug out from under them. Granted it's harder to get that momentum going, but if you do mid-game or even late-game it can be a lot harder for survivors to recover.
-
Nice idea, I support that. Less M1 holding is always good
-
I personally would simply add a timer before you can search a match again (basically like the 5 seconds after you dodged a lobby) and each time you DC multiple times in a row it goes longer and longer.
-
Grabbing is currently completely bugged. I had it multiple times when it shows the grab animation but the survivor still escaped. That was never a thing pre 2.4.0 (basically Legion and engine update), before the grabbing was only bugged at gens and hooks. Now hatch is affected by that aswell together with windows and pallet slides

I think the picture speaks for itself

That sounds fair, thanks younot_Queen said:@HavelmomDaS1 @The_Crusader Our numbers have a buffer for that kind of situation. And will also be adjusted depending on the number of games you play in a definite timeframe.

I have one weird situation in mind: What if someone played 3 matches in a whole month and he DCed (on purposes) 2 times. His percentage would be over 50% and he will get banned aswell?not_Queen said:What @Orion said is right. We are not communicating our threshold because it leads to abuse. And we are doing bans in waves because that's what the system allows us to do at the moment. We all wish that the punishment was more strict for disconnecting but that's what we are able to do right now because of how our system registers disconnects. Hopefully we will get a better system when we migrate the game on Dedicated Servers.
Compared to a streamer who plays probably 1000 matches per month and DCs probably 300 times it sounds like an unfair system for me. -
The most useless exhaustion perk after the exhaustion nerf. I feel like using sprint burst is shooting you more into your own foot because wasting time walking and having no tools during a chase

Maybe one thing which triggers this bus is when you have only 1-2x of each addon, that's when I noticed that.Giddawid said:The offerings are working fine for many people, however the programming team are aware of the issue that some users are apparently having with this, but reproducing the bug has not been successful.

Sometimes holding the hatchets up for a very long time confuses the ######### out of survivors. That's one "unknown" tip I can give you real quick. I don't know how experience you are and what you already know tho

And again, the most important thing as killer is to have a really good start which means hooking someone fast to start the momentum. Ruin is the only tool you have to help your first pressureless and momentumless minute to slow the game down.thesuicidefox said:@HavelmomDaS1 said:
I disagree. Sloppy is only useful if you can injure everyone at the beginning. And that's very unlikely unless you are Legion. And since the "No heal genrush meta" is becoming more and more popular, it's just a waterdrop on a hot plate to have the effect of Thana.
Ruin is the best you can have. It all depends on the start. If ruin gets destroyed after 1 minute it already made a pretty good job because u slowed the start down, exactly the time you need to hook the first survivor start pressuring with that momentum.Sloppy or Thana by itself isn't going to do much, but together they can slow the game down quite a bit. The "no heal gen rush meta" is WAY less effective when you have 4 players injured. At 1, yea Thana does almost nothing. At 2 it starts to show and forces survivors to at least team up on gens (giving you a greater chance to injure multiple survivors) At 3 it forces them to heal (which Sloppy punishes), and at 4 the game just grinds to a halt. You can easily get them all injured if you play it right, which means abandoning a chase if you see a chance to get a hit on someone else. This is where most killers fail with Thana, they don't prioritize hitting survivors over chasing the one that's already injured. Plus Thana makes slugging that much more effective as slowing the game. And unlike Ruin, it can't be take away from you EXCEPT by healing, which again Sloppy punishes and makes them waste time (either by spending ages to SC or grouping up, either way less survivors on gens).
Ruin can potentially be very effective at slowing the game, but if you have survivors that hit great skill checks or know where the totem is, it's not going to help that much. While Ruin can stall the early parts of the game better than Sloppy/Thana combo, it won't help mid-game or late game where the combo can REALLY hurt survivors. I run this combo on both my Spirit and my Trapper, and I just got to rank 1 with Spirit last night using Sloppy/Thana/MYC/BBQ. I did not depip a single game. I had 2 or 3 safety pips where 3 of them got away, BUT because of the combo I was able to stall mid and late game enough to get silver/gold Gatekeeper and prevent a depip. Every other game was a double pip, or near double pip with a 4k (though I give hatch often, I would still catch the last guy then drop them on hatch so it's a technical 4k). Some games I even got to last long enough that I would still pip even if 3 escaped. Most games yea, 1 or 2 gens pop in the first chase. But once I get a hook and hit a second survivor things really slow down. And once MYC procs if I hit that person then the game just stops dead until survivors can save each other and heal. Makes them waste a lot of time, time you can use to hunt them down.
I encourage you to try it a few times. Ignore the first gen or 2 that pops, it will happen don't get flustered, just be sure to injure as many of survivors as you can if the opportunity presents itself. It's harder, which I admitted before Ruin is the easiest option of all the gen slowing strats, but it is IMO more effective because it lasts all game. If survivors end up leaving 3 or 4 gens close enough then you can really punish them with this combo, where you don't have that option with Ruin unless the gens are all near Ruin (and even then good survivors can still just hit great skill checks to negate Ruin).
If your start is good, the match will probably end good. If it's #########, you will end up losing (obviously it's not always like this, but most of the time).
Idk how sloppy and Thana will help you out in a situation when 3 gens got done and you just got your first hook. It's usually over, u won't win that anymore unless you are nurse/Billy and the survivors messed up (greedy unhooks, 3-genned themselves etc).
Ruin prevents that, you usually get your first hook and 1-2 gens got done at best, sometimes not a single one. But it depends on the survivors, if everyone is like Marth88 depip squad and they hit great skillchecks all time it's going to hardcore. But this happens really really rarely that every single survivors is that good -
Are you normally cornblind with nurse/huntress? If I load into Rottenfields with nurse or huntress I'm like "well gg, wasted my addons and offerings." and I alt+tab to YouTube lol

This. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. And there really is no alternative to ruin.
I disagree with the last part. Thanatophobia + Sloppy can do as much, if not more, to slow the game as Ruin, the catch is that you need to injure multiple survivors. If you can though the game almost stops in it's tracks. Sloppy punishes survs for healing, and Thana punishes them for not healing, so either way they are losing time. Dying Light can also be quite effective at slowing/stopping the game, with the catch you need to find and kill the obsession quickly. Yes these have drawbacks, but so does Ruin in the fact it can be destroyed quickly and you are basically 1 perk short now. I will agree that Ruin is the easier option here, but I don't think it's the only one nor the most effective. Gen Crusher (Surv/Discord/OC/PGTW) is IMO the most effective anti-gen build, but it has the downsides that 1) you need 4 perks to make it work and 2) you have to prioritize kicking gens over chases, which is something a lot of killer players don't have the discipline to do.
Ruin is the best you can have. It all depends on the start. If ruin gets destroyed after 1 minute it already made a pretty good job because u slowed the start down, exactly the time you need to hook the first survivor start pressuring with that momentum. -
Its an habit because survivors used to spawn on it. It doesn't happen often anymore, so killers with this habit will probably stop in the near future.
I never did it btw -
