I by myself and many I know of are playing the "No heal meta" which means basically not equipping selfcare, always using adrenalin and rush the gens injured.

The plan of nerfing selfcare was to slow down the game. This works for the casual and the only "just" survivors, because they will still selfcare even against Legion lol.

However, for the more advanced survivors selfcare became a "wasted" perkslot and this leads to survivors to rush the gens even faster, especially coordinated SWF groups who got 4x adrenalin.

I was always running adrenalin and only pushed the last gen injured, but lately I push all gens injured as survivor.

What's your opinion? Did the selfcare nerf helped you to slow the game down or are games even faster done cuz everyone is pushing gens injured? As killer I feel SWF games are ending even quicker than before if they have all adrenalin and noone selfcare.

SC hasnt been nerfed, just like DS rework didnt happen and the hatch sloing mechanic has been dismissed

If you guys say that Doc got nerfed because of the changes on Nurse's calling then you must admit that SC got nerfed too since it's related to a healing action.

Who says that? I certainly don't. Only stuff that changed in itself is either buffed or nerfed. SC wasn't nerfed as its values weren't changed. The Doctor wasn't nerfed just because a Perk he has the option of using no longer reveals Snapping Out Of It Survivors. His power wasn't changed.

If anything in that equation, then Nurse's Calling was nerfed.

I agree, but we got several threads of people claiming that Doc got nerfed because of NC. Maybe you didn't, but some others did say that.
About SC its values weren't changed but the healing changes affected that perk indirectly, which is why some people stopped running it.

Because it takes 8 seconds longer to heal? My what an atrocity, must mean the Perk is utter garbage.

And really, it's still omni-present in my games, there are at least 2-3 SCs still.

Every second counts, that's why i run Resilience too.
Exactly! Also, it's 8 second longer without sloppy right? How long is it with sloppy/beeing mangled? Way to long imo

What happend? I do not see anything in the recent patchnotes...

We are talking about the last healing nerf, which happened some time ago already.

So... Why are people arguing about it now, instead of arguing about it when it came out?

Because I'm one of the person who observes changes for a long time before I discuss. Maybe it's an extreme of me, but at least it's the better side of the extreme compared to others who discuss things before they even got released lol

This was no Nerf to Self Care, it was a general Nerf to Healing Speed. That is what he meant. (Of course we all know what you mean, some people are just picky)

I agree to you, even though I rarely see that people do not heal anymore. Running Self Care is still not bad at all. I think it is fine as it is.

But like said before, some people really want to nerf Self Care. I have read one "idea" where the time should be doubled or trippled. I simply cannot understand why people really think that this would be good, nobody would heal for 60 or even 90 seconds, everyone would just run Resilience and rush the Gens. Really hard to think a little bit further I guess...

Oh man how picky some people are, as I said something completely wrong lol

  • This would be so easy to implement, hopefully the devs acknowledge this great idea and add it asap
  • Vietfox said:
Yes, it was a bad idea which mainly came from killer mains complaining about SC and totally backfired on them as we can see now. Funny thing is that i still see some people asking for SC to get nerfed, ignoring that even more survivors would realize about how useless is SC and changing their build to Resilience + Adrenaline.
I mean I was using adrenalin since release, but I was using selfcare aswell and only rushed the last gen injured. Now, I don't use SC at all and run injured the whole match not bothering about beeing injured and pumping gens with adrenalin at the end.

Tbf, only good survivors can stay injured all time but isn't that exactly the issue? The issue are the good survivors and not the bad survivors if we talk about balance

  • Most boring thing.
I used to DC as survivor if the killer wants to farm because I don't want to play a boring hold-M1 simulator. Nowadays I just go afk and check in 10 minutes if the exit gates are open and I leave.
As killer, Idc and just kill survivors, I don't farm with anyone.
  • BTW, tinkerer had no need for it's rework. Why it got reworked? The devs got lazy and didn't want to adjust every add on they brought into the game to work with tinkerer .Imagine old tinkerer on spirit.
It did need a rework due to machine hatchets and the super insta saw billy along with many other builds. Tweakin the add on instead of reworking the perk will only give us the same result but with having a lot of killer add ons having to be nerfed and will only be powerful when paired with tinkerer, which would make it an almost essential perk for some add ons.
Insta hatchets and Insta saw was fine. People are just crying and whining to much

They used perks, items and offerings. They brought it all, why cant you? I wish there was video. Would loved to have seen you wipe the floor with them.
I was thinking about to record my matches in the future because I get those swf groups frequently and it's always satisfying to see a killer beat them I guess
  • Currently vaulting is bugged.
Fast vaulting is bugged in favour of the killer and medium vault is bugged in favour of the survivor.
I wonder if this issue is logged by the DbD team and if they are working to fix it.
@Giddawid do you have more information about that issue? Are the devs aware of that? Thanks in regard
  • Peanits said:
If they've got an insta-heal, they could get the same effect by just using it before going down. The broken status would not make a difference in that scenario. It would really only affect someone who hits you with DS and immediately starts self caring, which isn't typically an issue.
Exactly + he is still off your shoulder anyway and the chase is continuing even without the insta heal (if the survivor isn't stupid obviously) which is the main issue if DS
  • Idk never had survivors complaining about that but mainly because I use the chainsaw all time, even at jungle gyms. I can only imagine that they complain because it's easier to 360 a chainsaw and they are mad because u M1 and didn't gave them the opportunity for some "fancy" situations for their "juke Montage" lol
  • Why should it make you bad? Ruin gets destroyed quick anyway, so you actually are a good killer if you ruin because you play 90% of the match only with 3 perks lol
  • What exactly determines a toxic cosmetic?

Basically those "shiny" outfits survivors use to get your attention and t bag you at every time possible. For example neo coloured hair of Nea, or these new sport outfits of Jake.
The cosmetics are not toxic by itself, it's just most used by toxic survivors. I use them aswell but for complete different reasons tho

I'd doubt Capcom or Behaviour have any interest in a crossover however.
    Why do you assume that?

Of all the times when the devs talked about or teased potential licensed killers it has always been movie characters. I'm not saying a video game character is impossible (I'd love Alma from F.E.A.R.) but the devs and fanbase prefer going for movie killers.

As for Capcom, well they are a Japanese company that probably has no idea who Behaviour is.

Makes sense. Well, who knows if ever get a licensed killer again in the first place
  • Tsulan said:
They are not against it, since there's no way to detect it.
Well, there would be ways if they cooperate with EAC that as long as 3rd party programs who got voice communication are running DbD would just simply not start up (same with the new versions of ReShade, EAC stops DbD from starting up till you remove it or they approved the new version of Reshade).

But the issue is people would always find different ways to voice communicate and bypass/exploit EAC and also they would annoy a large % of the survivor playerbase. So they don't, and they will probably never do. I'm just "fascinated" how the devs never really attempeted to do direct steps to balance SWF.. The only thing I remember is that every survivor can see who the obsession is in the HUD, a minor QoL buff for solos. That's it, and it's not even that helpful

What do you mean? The post is about DS, what has noed to do with DS now?
  • This won't fix the issue of DS.
Someone uses DS and is broken. Then what? Still u lost all the pressure as killer, you still haven't hooked someone and the survivor can still run you around.

I kinda always recommend movies from DiCaprio, his stuff is pretty good imo.
Obviously it's a thing of taste, but if someone enjoyed him in shutter island he will probably enjoy the rest of his movies like THE DEPARTED, INCEPTION, REVOLUTIONARY ROAD etc etc

nope im a survivor main lmao i just think its annoying how killers complain about stuff that balance the game, but i honestly dont mind the posts. aftersll, this is the forums and we are allowed to complain here 😂
You only find it annoying because you are a survivor main, as you said. Play killer and you would Complain aswell, simple is that.

The corn is great but when I fight against killers who know what they are doing I can't lose them, and I specialize in juking then stealthing (I suck at looping). There's a level of skill required to navigate the corn fields. I won't deny it's favorable for survivors, but a killer who knows what he's doing will catch you.

It's still easily the map I want to play in the most as a survivor. I used to like MacMillan as well but after the lighting changes it's not as great as it used to be. The corn defies the lighting changes.

Gideon sucks and is one of the harder maps to play as a Survivor, but it's not as bad as its reputation. I actually find the Hospital a lot harder.

You only find Gideon difficult because u don't loop. Once you know how to loop you will laugh your ass off against every M1 killer, the amount of save pallets all next to each other is ridiculous
  • I rarely lose a Survivor in the corn, it all comes down to experience and tracking skill.

It's more about the monitor, and your pc power for high fps and high graphics quality. I by myself play since 2016 and many others aswell. And there is no experience to again anymore regarding cornblindness. It's a thing.
Good for you that you have a good monitor :)

There's a reason why DS is considered the most hated perk in the game.
The perk isn't a problem when you know that the obsession got it.. but when every OTHER survivor in the trial got a hidden auto-escape.. that's too much.

    Exactly, you nailed it
  • The Coldwind maps are busted because it's much harder to mind game on that map. All the damn walls are see-through.

+ 99% of all pallets are safe pallets. I cant remember one single unsafe pallet tbh.
+ the corn which makes playing nurse or huntress really difficult if you are cornblind
  • @HavelmomDaS1 that's why you shouldn't lobby dodge. Destroying 4xDS SWF teams is our sacred duty. You're doing God's work.

Yeah as I said I usually don't dodge, it's just the key which is just stupid for clutch escapes. However, I enjoy destroying those SWF groups, the endgame salt is always funny lol

Become a Nurse main and show them what it truly means to be a sweaty tryhard.

Im basically a Nurse main, I just can't play all time because of the fatigue. I was able to play her during the shadowborn bug when the corners didn't went black. But now with the black corners I get sick if I play to much nurse
  • I just don't get the reason of why so many people hate Tru3. I get that he can be biased. I get that he complains. The dude has literally been playing since Beta though. He's not bad as either killer or survivor. In fact I don't see a lot of people playing EVERY killer on rotation constantly and performing well. The only other person who did an entire series of perkless and add-on less to rank 1 was zubatlel(who I think is also really good) and performed very [BAD WORD] well. However zubat did it with only 3 killers. The easiest 3 imo. Yes, I love puppers and hybridpanda and monto. Do I think they can genuinely only play killer without getting stressed and complain about things? No. No one can play this game consistently and not complain about broken ass mechanics such as DS, hitboxes, tunneling, camping, etc etc. All in all, Tru3 not that bad and some of his complaints warrant good discussions and need fixing.
Side note: Personally believe only one survivor per match should allowed to use DS. That person can either be the worst survivor who needs it cause they suck balls in chase, or the best one who can run laps around the map without getting caught. Every survivor having it in the match, while rare as [BAD WORD], can break the game immensely.

You forgot Marth88, he was probably the first one who did this challenge with a lot of different killers

So you basically trying to imply he made massive mistakes in this match. Can you explain to use what the mistakes are Mr. Professional Killer ?
  • I had a DS in my game today, I knew she was trouble because she a was a P3 Claude with Toxic in their name and when I found her she had been saboing hooks all game then tried to 360 juke me. Well the moment I down her ass and sees i'm about to juggle her she DCs. She wasn't a tryhard but she's like your group because all they want is all the good ######### and to dominate, they aren'tplaying the game they are trying to dominate and win and when they don't get what they want they act like a spoiled little ######### who can't reach their gilded toilet because they don't want to walk there. I was Freddy btw

Yeah, some groups don't want to play the game or have "normal fun", they just want to dominate you and additionally beeing toxic in the chat talking #########
  • And what makes you entitled to them above other people who are suffering from the same issues (me included)? .-.
Never said nobody else wasn't entitled. Just that I'm the only one asking.

I do think a double XP weekend would be nice to conpensate for all the offerings everyone has lost the past few months.

It has addictive game play for sure, but in the end but the drawbacks start to out weigh the attraction. I have no shortage of other games I've been neglecting.

Yeah it's really on the limit, I personally don't know how long I can take the loading screen bug. I literally can't play survivor anymore it's 90% an infinite loading screen and I'm forced to play killer 24/7

  • Screw them..

Reminds me of a teuetalent vid I saw. He camped one guy out and the swf called him lame at the end, but apparantly them bringing DS, burning coldwind and thick mist wasn't lame.

If survivors tryhard then you get to tryhard too.

On a related note, it says a lot about the state of the coldwind maps when survivors are burning them to be toxic. Adjust them.
Do you remember what video it was and link that? Always interesting to see those matches

That is one of the misconceptions that killer mains have.

Survivors do cleanse the totems. The problem is not that, at least for solo survivors.

In almost every match, there are 1 or 2 totems that are hidden well. Survivors find the rest and cleanse them dooming rest of the team.

This is why cleansing dull totems is a terrible idea for solo survivors. You don't know if your other survivor mates cleansed one, you don't know if the rest of the totems are in easy or okay places etc.

Small game is not helpful because it still doesn't give you the information you need.

There are 2 good ways to counter NOED. First one is detective's hunch. It is also a great counter to any other hex perk and I regularly use it.

I don't want to rewrite the second counter but if you are interested, here is my advice to another forum user.

Small game and detective's hunch are 2 counters.
How much more do survivors need?
I think the issue is more that solos "need" them while swf can just communicate and use 2 other peeks which are more meta for chasing or doing gens
I personally never saw a decent swf using these 2 perks and whenever solos are using these 2 perks against me (while I never run NOED anyway) they all die before even the last gen pops so it didn't matter in the first place.
U know what I mean? I think noed only really punishes solos, swf (like always) counter that ez
This only shows how OP SWF is.
Yeah it is. The sad part: even if you would limit SWF so they can't use perks, the voice communication is still stronger than good 4 solos with 4 meta perks and items with addons. At least that's my experience and tbh I have no clue how to balance that #########
(and yeah I know not every swf group is a death squad, but they exit and they can make your match to a hell ride)
  • I personally find hag and clown boring to play, the only reason I bought them is for the perks. Same for doc, pretty boring killer.
