With or without ruin? With downing survivors quick? I consider quick downing in less than 40 seconds.Rebel_Raven said:
All 5 gens done in a 5 minute or less span of time in my case.Eveline said:How do you define gen rushing?
I personally see Genrushing this way:
Ruin still up, downing and hooking survivors left and right under 40 seconds and still after 3 minutes one gen is left. It's usually typical for sweaty swfs, solos can't pull out that organised and optimal Genrushing while saving mates etc. -
I wish they would have included an endgame rework in the upcoming ptb, but it seems like it's not coming. I really can't wait anymore, I want a new balanced rework for both sides
-
I mean, just because a lot of killers play with a lot of camping and tunneling (which is IMO cheap unless it's really necessary or gor Punishing a toxic survivor) doesn't justify it's a good playstyle and should be viable, you know what I mean?fcc2014 said:@HavelmomDaS1 said:

You say that but how many threads do you see here about Camping and Tunneling. So many killers do it right or wrong. So many killers will now have to adapt their play style. Wait a week or two when this goes live and you will see a bunch of threads complaining how much worse the new ds is.
Most killer camp and tunnel because they are weak at chasing, they don't want to go into a new chase with a healthy survivor cuz this would waste them to much time.
I'm not always the guy who say this, but it's more a case of "git gud" to tunneling/camping killers than anything else, because I'm trying to promote skillful playing, and insidious basement camping as Bubba for example isn't skillfull but can reward you kills. -

Just corrected your sentence mate -
I totally agree with you point that survivors who want to depip you will do it, especially swf with voice communication.. But keep in mind that the depip squad is a group who plays very often together, they know eachother, it's a trained team. As solo you have always new 3 individual random team mates, difficult to put them equal with Marth's depip squad. But I see where you coming.Tucking_Friggered said:@Yamaoka said:

Yupp. Instead of perks or items you need something far more important called TIME. Take a look at my calculation on page 1 then come again.
Well it's a good thing Survivors have unlimited time while the killer doesn't. Start the gen rush after you cleanse the totems! You lot don't have any issue telling a killer to git gud when the gens can be popped in three minutes.
No valid argument as usual. I'm talking about solo survivors who will not communicate. Obviously you can not tell 3 strangers how to play the game (especially on console as there's no pre- or post game chat) so if you want to counter noed you'll have to do it yourself which takes approximately 4.5 minutes according to my calculation (give or take).
Stop acting like every game was against a fully organized SWF squad.Of course you are talking about the low hanging fruit to make yourself seem credible. How about we remove SWF so all survivors are solo then we can deal with NOED? No? Then deal with it, like the devs told you that you are going to do.
But newsflash, while SWF is a problem, 4 competent survivors can do the same thing if they play efficiently. Depip squad shows us this. I just watched a stream where a very superb anti NOED killer threw the game from Depip squad because he knew he had no chance. His validation was that they were not playing to have fun so it didn't prove anything. No, it proved that when survivors want to bust your ass they can do so at will.
I personally just want love for solo survivors and some specific nerfs for SWF. I think after that dbd is most balanced than ever before -
I see a really dark time for future solo survivors man.. Seems like I need to get some friends to play SWF lolYamaoka said:

Don't worry, your nice attitude will change as more you play killer. Especially if you are at certain ranks and play constantly against sweaty swf groups. Lucky for you, you won't suffer that much anymore with the current DS, that perk probably destroyed all empathy towards survivors of everyone who played killer long enough
-
Oh yeah I remember.. It was broken af, but it was "balanced" if you u compare it to what tools survivors had back then.

It should be simple and easy, but we all know how long it took to hide the killers loadouts till all escaped/diedwill_i_am_14_85 said:@Aceonfire said:

Wooow hold on, don't touch adrenalin. I'm all up for survivor nerfs, specifically those who has a big impact on swf. But adrenalin is really the only thing left for a solo survivor to survive some hardcore tunneling, that's really the last thing to think about nerfing. It rewards you for staying alive till the end by using only 3 perks during the match.Chaotic_Riddle said:

BT was doing pretty much the same, it's just now less riskier for the unhooker because they don't need to go into the danger zone. Because if you give a swarming SWF group BT they will get that 4 man escape no matter what. The only exception is rev chainsaw Billy/Bubba or nurse.
Also, endgame is something the devs are targeting, let's hope the rework will help for that issue -
Exactly, only tunneling/camping noob killers are crying "it's a buff" but in reality it's a nerf and good killers can capitalise/counter this finally.Boss said:I LOVE this new DS.
I rarely ever go for the unhooked anyway, so this gives me giant opportunities to make DS users waste a Perk slot.
The only issue I currently see is the endgame, but the devs said they want to rework that so lets see what's coming in the future (hopefully it doesn't take long) -
Ofc you liked the old one, it was easy to use and made killers difficult up to impossible to win. You just want your side (survivor) still beeing dominant no matter what the killer does cuz there wasn't REAL counterplay against DS
-
I have the same issue. I get weeks where it's coldwind 24/7 so I just used billy all time. It sucks, cuz playing Myers for example is insanely difficult against smart survivors
-
As far as I know you need a Microsoft xbox certified mouse in order to use it on your console
-
Don't worry those salty noob killers, this is a really great rework and something which is actually helping you during the match.Nickenzie said:

The perk has ALREADY gone through SEVERAL nerfs and nerfing anymore will break it to the point where it's completely useless OR it needs a whole new effect like Tinkerer got. So please, someone tell me why you feel it needs to be nerfed, as of right now I think those people are complete noobs and stupid but if you have a valid reason please tell me because I don't like judging people.
Also why not offer your rework?
No One Escapes Death
Progress infuriates you beyond belief which causes you to release your true potential. Whenever a generator is completed, receive a 15% haste effect and a 20% attack cool down decrease until you perform a successful offensive action. Bonuses from No One Escapes Death stacks if multiple generators are completed simultaneously.
Btw just to make clear, it wouldn't be a Hex anymore right? -
I don't know how accurate the numbers are, but keep in mind this is ONE solo survivor wasting 4 minutes for totems. Imagine ALL 4 solo survivors are doing the same, yeah it's gg for the killer he doesn't need NOED anymore anyways lol.Yamaoka said:Can turn a 0k into a quick and cheap 4k. One single perk slot should NEVER be that powerful no matter what.
Only counter is to find and cleanse ALL 5 totems which never happens unless you play in an organized SWF team or you do it yourself which takes:
- the time it takes to find and run to all 5 totems (approx. 30 seconds per totem - give or take)
- plus the time you have to waste by hiding on your way to said totems (approx. 10 seconds per totem)
- plus the time of actually cleansing the totems (70 seconds total)
Total: Approx. 4.5 minutes
Now you've wasted 4.5 minutes doing nothing but totems in a game that typically lasts 8-10 minutes. Congratulations! Your team is dead but at least you don't have to worry about noed.
It needs a nerf just like decisive strike.
- at least a timer of 100 seconds
- or limited instadowns
- or let survivors know noed is active BEFORE they get hit by it once the gates are powered
People who bring up the "it's just 14 seconds" argument are forgetting that solos are playing this game aswell. Seems like they want us solos not to enjoy playing solo anymore and rather play SWF -
Lmao that's a great clip, need to save thatTeaLeaf said: -
Btw I'm not directly promoting a noed nerf, I think noed is in a good spot against SWF. All I personally want is a totem counter for solo players so at least I'm "prepared" if totems are left and the killer is on me. So I can expect that noed is incoming and respect the killer more in terms of looping etcHatCreature said:@HavelmomDaS1 said:
Because it's frustrating as solo to have team mates who don't cleanse totems.
Against swf I don't see an issue with noed, everyone can communicate where and how many are left.
Against solos it's dirty, unless you are such a terrible bad killer and give them enough time without pressuring. It is especially dangerous for solo players, I've had loads of matches where I don't get all the totems and hope that the other Survivors did but nope, no one ever gets them. Being solo has lots of problems and I can see why this is more hurtful to us moreso than SWF.
I personally see the totem count as a QoL change for solos and swf won't really benefit from that. -

DS is now an anti tunnel perk most likely (expect of endgame) and I really think about using it. I really get hardcore tunneled and as solo survivor it's a nightmare how often you get unhooked pretty unsafe

Moris didn't got buffed, don't build a lie. Moris work the same way as they did before, DS rework doesn't change it. Also, moris are limited, so eat it and take the revenge till noone has moris anymore I guess

U can take tenacity and crawl to the exit, or to a spot where survivors can bodyblock. Furthermore, a killer who wastes 60 seconds on the slug doesn't make himself a favor, swf will pound the gens left and right during that time.
Ahh, and btw: obsession DS gets slugged or ignored anyway, so I don't see the difference tbh -
You are right, but keep in mind that the devs want to change the endgameHeHeBoii said:Can't wait to use my DS when the exit gates are opened along with my buddy who has BT.

On a side note I see that going to be a thing now. Survivors will just farm the hook in front of you like its nothing without any fear. Well we shall see how it goes I guess, I assume it will be on the next PTB first before live in game. -
PGJSF means what?

Because the console version doesn't have the data for the bill player model and audio. And console will never get these files because Valve doesn't want console to have it.

Nah, there are plenty of pros here. And with (he who shall not be named) banned from console, there will possibly be little toxicity that can grow (there are still some toxic players though).

I want it. But before this happens, other things has to be done:
Mouse and keyboard support
Optimisation patch
Ability for console players to chose if they want to match up against pc players
After that I see absolutly no reason to be against that -
Nearly all unwritten rules are coming from survivors to benefit themselves. And it's funny that exactly it's the survivors who don't follow any rules. So I don't follow their made up rules

Maybe just a ranking from 20 to 15, after that everyone can vet matched with eachother. Obviously you would still lock out Deranking below rank 15 so the newbies stay with each other learning the basicsPhantomMask20763 said:@HavelmomDaS1 said:

I mean, do we really need to carry newbies? Other games didn't care about newbies and they got matchmaked with veterans and still the newbies continued playing.
I think it's fine that the game has a learning curve, you can't expect to immediately be skilled at a game when you start playing. I'm just saying that maybe it's not a great idea to have veterans with noobs because then they'll just get turned off from the game leaving the devs less players to actually keep the game alive.

We have more serious problems with DbD than wasting time for easter eggs right now..
-
The thing is, most cheaters are smart. They don't use 200% movement speed and make it obvious. They make subtle wallhack cheats for example, so it's hard for you to tell if he actually is cheating, saw you or was just lucky finding you.
I have no clue how high the dark number of those smart cheaters is, but I think it's way higher than we all expect -

It's not about "hard to get rank 1" it's about giving limitations so everyone can only chose 10 times per season. If you think chosing the killer for 10 times per season will completely break the matchmaking you did something wrong calculatingAChaoticKiller said:
Because its so hard to get to rank 1... Also this will just increase the time it will take to find a match. Across ALL ranks. Lastly no killer wants to be forced to play a match were the survivors have builds ment for that killer.HavelmomDaS1 said:
You could add requirements for that. For example, every 10th escape, you can chose the killer 1 time. Or after hitting rank 1 you can chose 10 times a killer to verse. With these requirements survivors couldn't use that option very often and lobby times wouldn't go into an extreme.Bbbrian2013 said:@Master said:
Are you willing to wait 20x longer aswell?Wouldn't this kill killer queue times? Imagine trying to get a match as a Legion or Nurse player.
Everyone would be choosing Myers or weaker killers like Freddy and Trapper.
(Btw these are just random numbers, tweaking them would be obviously necessary) -
I dont think it's latency, I played since release and the hitboxes were never that crazy and inconsistent like they are these days. I mean, I'm literally always shocked and impressed if a swing of a killer which didn't hit me on screen actually doesn't get registered as a hit. And that already tells you a lot, I'm not the only one who is surprised if that happens. I think Puppers has these moments on YouTube sometimesPhantomMask20763 said:I can agree with the hitboxes, those things really need to be looked at but most of the time it's really just latency. We also need to buff the weaker killers so we can bring Nurse and Billy down a bit (no I don't mean gut them like with Freddy's first nerf) because right now people don't want to play the other killers and survivors hate facing the same killers most matches. Ranking needs some incentive, even if it's bloodpoints, a cosmetics, anything, just so people WANT to rank up. Same thing with perks, survivors and killers want to win therefore most of the time they run the BEST perks to help them. Which is why we need to buff other perks to that level or at least to a decent level so their not useless or extremely situational like what they did with surveillance. The game has many problems, yet I still love it...
