How you make DS even worst ?
The new DS have no counter play , yes you can have a Mori or camp them to death but only that. The new DS give no clue if the survivors have DS , you can't dripping them ( it instantly) and the skill check is bigger just why ?
One better way to do it will be keep the new DS but the timer will be 10/20/30 at best the killer can dripping them and for me personally only the first survivor can use the DS all the other survivors will lose it for the rest of the game. But rly now devs how you make it worst what will be next NOED that give you 1% speed for every gen done, no exposed effect and you can lose it from the start of the game

The counterplay is to spend that 60 seconds going after the unhooker instead and go for the DS user afterwards.
I actually was refering to chasing the unhooker after hitting the unhooked person but before you actually pick them up.
So it would be:
Person unhooked
Down them
Chase unhooker
Hook both
You have your b's mixed up with p's
It's dribbling not dripping
Hopefully the ptb comes soon. It will give us a chance to test it and see how it goes.
I know sometimes you feel like you need to insta-tunnel whoever came off the hook because the team you're against is genrushing so hard. Having to leave them slugged to recover etc helps 1 person stay in the game for longer.
If the game becomes worse for it then hopefully things can be adjusted. Either way it's an enourmous change and we will have to wait to test it out. The question remains how many survivors are eventually going to end up taking this perk?
I don't use DS. I think it's toxic and not very good for the solo survivor (but great for the team as a whole), however now that it's purely an anti-tunnel perk I have to admit I'd be tempted to use it. If everyone uses it then it could potentially be a problem. We will have to wait and see.
On the bright side though it does ruin things for the people who only used it to be toxic. Though the downside now I guess is that you can't insta-tunnel the toxic people right out of the game.
@The_Crusader According to the post, this isn't going to the PTB. It's going live next update.
NEW DS HAS NO COUNTERPLAY!!1!! except for all the counterplay options such as going for the rescuer instead of tunneling, slugging the unhooked survivor, camping and not letting anyone rescue in the first place, Mori's, etc, etc. Nice overreaction.
Welcome to the slugging meta.
Yeah but I'm sure they will take the PTB information into account, and if any drastic changes are needed then hopefully we can get a hotfix. If not then at least they have the information earlier giving them plenty of time to adjust in the next mid-chapter patch.
If the survivors still stagger, enduring is a hard counter to DS right now, very hard counter.

The reason why it wasn't in the past was because DS 3 gave you 5 seconds.
The new DS 3 gives you 3 seconds just like old DS 1.
As you can see from the clip, survivor can not even reach the pallet if the killer has enduring.
Ah well the new DS has a coutner then at least
OMG MASTER! I can't believe me and you agree for once when it comes to DS. Never thought I'd see the day!
Well in the new video it looks like enduring is a counter to DS indeed.
But lets wait and look at what BHVR releases into the PTB/Live build^^
^^
@Poweas Beautiful when these things happen.
It truly is.
Oh quit lying to yourself, enduring and slugging. Git gud
here is the counter play:
dont tunnel
slug the survivor for 60 seconds
honestly, i would not say any of these are actual counters.
slugging is the closest to a counter, but you get punished for it by losing emblem points, so there is no use in doing it at all.
enduring is something i hear A LOT. it is not a counter, it simply reduces the effects DS puts on you. the survivor still gets freed and still gets his 2nd chance.
the only real counter to it would be dribbling, but that only works on a very short range.
pls dont forget, that a counter is supposed to completely nullify the effects, not reduce them. its like NOED and Adrenaline: Adrenaline heals you and NOED allows you to oneshot, ignoring the new health state, therefore being the direct counter to Adrenaline. Or Iron Grasp and Boil Over: one increases the Struggle effects by 75% and the other reduces them by 75%.
Er 75% of 3 is 0.75. I rest my case. When it was 4 seconds it was different but now enduring hard counters it.
What a beautiful thing that is.
So the counters to the new DS are moris, camping to death, slugging. All things that survivors like.
That's the theory so far. I'm curious to see how it turns out to be when the rework is released. Maybe we'll get surprised.
And I really want to know what is going to happen to Dying Light, Remember Me etc. when there are changing obsessions.
I LOVE this new DS.
I rarely ever go for the unhooked anyway, so this gives me giant opportunities to make DS users waste a Perk slot.
By doing this, the person rescued will either be slugged or go into deep wounds (borrowed time). This keeps them off of generators and in the slug scenario forces another survivior off of generators to come get them.
Then, by chasing the rescuer you apply pressure to a survivior, keeping them off of generators.
Overall, you can now pressure up to three surviviors as counterplay. Unless you just want to tunnel the Decisive User.
If you do want to tunnel them . . . isn't the hook right frickin there?!
Or to provide an additional counter (in case of Breakdown), can't you just chase them and wait to down them until they are near another hook?
there is one little flaw in your argument:
enduring reduces the decisive strike stun by 55% instead of 75%.
besides, enduring is still not a counter, as the survivor still gets off your shoulder and can still continue to loop the ######### out of you, if there is a pallet or a window nearby.
also, a survivor can still strike you and then leave through a gate or the hatch.
again: enduring reduces the effect DS applys on the killer, but it does not counter the perk at all.
can u be even more ignorant and bad? jesus, just don't tunnel. it's ######### awesome that survivors finally get anti tunnel perk ffs! i think stun should be 4 or even 5s cuz ######### tunneling killers! Btw i play mostly killer and i like to punish bad save, but i go for the unhooker instead cuz it's his fault!
when will gen rush fix happen? cuz until it happens survivors will NOT have fun playing against me (read basement insidious Bubba). if i am not supposed to have fun when playing killer, they i'll make sure i kill survivors' fun too! an eye for an eye
The only issue I currently see is the endgame, but the devs said they want to rework that so lets see what's coming in the future (hopefully it doesn't take long)
Yeah it does... You return to the hook... Hit down the unhooked and slug them for a minute while you chase the other person. If they have BT then who cares. Two people not on gens... Maybe 3 if someone comes to heal up the slugged.
It shouldn't ever be an issue really unless you tunneled and camped.... Which you can still do, but you just need to tunnel a bit differently.
Except Enduring doesn't effect DS at 75% at tier 3. It is either a bug or put in on purpose, but it only effects DS by 55%.
Not sure if they are correcting this when they update to the new DS.
That's not gonna be worth it. Either go for the savior or tank the DS. Wasting 60 seconds of your game because you don't want to be punished for going after the same survivor who just go saved.. it's just not worth it.
what the hell are you on about. You're salty cuz u can't tunnel off the hook anymore... BIG SHAME. Honestly the nerf is good as it nerfs it yet discourages a boring play style, finally a change his game needs
Well still has one. Don't tunnel. I don't mind the change tbf. But let's agree to dosagree
