She had NOED am I right or wrong?
Predicting if a killer has NOED or not is very easy, isn't it? lmao

I still don't think you are getting the point either.
Answer the question of why do some survivors not want to heal?
You will probably find the answer is because you either stay weakened and easier to down or make her stronger for a time and be able to down you or someone easier, it's an option where you make yourself weaker regardless.
Its the mechanic that causes this and making you need to always go to a fountain is bad design, the choice needs to remain or it becomes another tedious mechanic just like the legion.
How fun would it be for a game to play out as Found, chased, puked on, goto fountain, do gens rinse and repeat each and everytime, it makes it a very linear gameplay experience.
I agree with every point you made.
Also, people can't realize but survivors can not control other survivors' decisions. Yes, I might find it easier to loop a 115% ms basic attack killer but another survivor may not and want to heal themselves with a fountain.
Also there is a fact that some survivors are terrible at looping but good at hiding so instead of worrying about the plague getting her power up, they worry about the sickness that makes them loud. For them, the plague with upgraded power is not powerful since they can easily hide but basic sickness takes their ability to stealth around.
Now, as a survivor, I am injured and the killer has her own power that can 1 shot down me because of one of my teammates' decision to heal themselves.
It is a very interesting killer and still to early to rush for buffs or nerfs imo.
-
Yeah this is a great 5th psychological perk slot just like NOED and the new DS.
Even if you don't use the perk, the very existence of it gives you advantage over your opponent. Honestly, we need more of these perks that both survivors and killers have to play around.
-

I mean, Doctor attacks survivors with a dildo, a censer is fine I guess.
You are underestimating the power of the dildo.
Dildo is to be respected.
-
Imagine killers with the plague's power.
I want to see that. A bubba puking all over the place LUL
-
Yeah I agree with @tt_ivi_99 here.
Survivors have 16 perk slots, of course it is going to be annoying if everybody equips balanced landing, dead hard, self care, DS, borrowed time etc. Somebody has to make a sacrifice.
You don't like anti heal meta? Use perks like botany knowledge, autodidact, We'll make it etc. and support it with aftercare or empathy, bum, you wasted killers' two perks and fcked up his entire game plan.
Both sides need to learn that instead of crying, they should learn counters.
-
If there is something like this, it should be looked at honestly. Going into basement takes too long anyway, not to mention basement is supposed to be a powerful tool for the killer.
-
I think it is because of PTB.
Players don't try to camp or tunnel people because winning is not important at all, killers want to interact with survivors. When the camp and tunnel begins in the normal game, you will be able to use it.
I always wanted a self borrowed time and I think the new DS is that self borrowed time that solos can use. The new DS is just like NOED imo.
Killers use NOED to ensure that survivors just don't rush gens and give them a secondary objective and if the survivors ignore and don't play around that, they will get punished.
As a survivor I will use Decisive strike to ensure that killers just don't tunnel me off the hook all the time and go after unhookers or other survivors, if the killers ignore and don't play around that, they will get punished.
It is far from being useless.
-
@RoMainPuppy I agree, we should get rid of perk tiers but what they want is to give people a reason to play the game.
A lot of people continue to play this game just because they want to max out every single character. If we get rid of perk tiers now, a lot of people might lose interest to play the game.
So what the devs are trying to do is to close the gap between tier 1 and tier 3 perks, allowing people to be able to play the game with low tier perks but still giving them a reason to gain bloodpoints and max out every character.
-
I watched Zubat and he faced 4 DS squad.
Not even once he got D striked. I am excited for the new DS.
-
It is not a buff, it is a QoL change.
If you are facing BBQ 3, the effect is the same, tier 1 and 2 are not garbage anymore and actually does something.
The best perk to compare is self care at this point. Imagine self care giving you the ability to heal yourself at 15-30-50% rate. Tier 1 and tier 2 would be borderline useless but tier 3 would be really good. Instead, it is always 50-50-50% across all tiers.
-
Because of legion's core power, legion will not get much buff tbh.
They can easily buff the plague though, I think you should just wait at this point.

It was your fault. You said it yourself.
No and yes
No, insta heals are not fair, they need to go I was wrong.
Yes, it was our fault, insta heals are not fair.
-
I don't see this insta heal thing staying in the game, there is just no way around that.
As a killer, your whole stalling power comes from hooks and heals. If you give survivors insta heal ability, then prepare to lose all of your momentum since instead of trying to heal themselves up, they will get free insta heals.
I understand that her corrupted puke is powerful but this is not the way to go.
Also, survivors can choose whether stay injured and poised instead of giving the killer the ability to get corrupted.
Another counter is loud sound notification. The killer got the corruption? It is limited, just go and hide.
I don't think that the killer's power justifies insta heals.
-
With her power she has range attack that can injure and down multiple survivors though. We weren't very careful and a plague got 3 downs with her corrupted power. At first I thought insta heals were not fair but they might actually be fair in the end.
I say lets wait and get used to her a little bit. She seems to be a snowball killer.
-
There is none
Edit; I spoke for the ptb, so I am still right lmao, Jk my bad
-
Yeah guys I kinda understand it but if another survivor alerts crows, I won't be able to hear them.
I was using this on my spirit and it really gave me good amount of information and allowed me to know nearby survivors. The survivor I am chasing will alert the crows and put the perk in a constant timer, not giving me a chance to know whether there are other survivors nearby.
I guess I won't be able to use it now if the change is as bad as I expect it to be.
-
@Hoodied said:
It is for balance issues
Ruin is useless atm and ptb is fixing that issue, SO FINALLY NOT EASY GEN RUSH
There is no change to ruin, if you have ruin 3, you won't even notice a single difference.
As for the tiers, I am pretty sure they are just there to create a grind and give people a reason to play (max every survivor and killer etc.)
-
Edit a huge mistake, sorry, I thought you wrote half and 1 hour to go, my bad.
-
Yeah, I didn't have grab problems up until one of the patches. After that patch (I don't remember which one), I started to have grab issues.
After the legion and engine update, it just got worse
-
But pigs can be female too o_O
-
Claudette - I am a b1tch
-
Yeah I think that the devs wanted this perk to be on par with NOED since both of them basically do the same thing.
Interesting change but there is still gen rush meta, meaning that hex ruin is pretty much needed and killers usually don't use any other hex totem with the ruin. So I don't see killers using devour hope.
-
@Tzeentchling9 said:
Chase mechanics really suck, so this is probably a needed change. However, this does kind of rocket Lithe the best exhaustion perk position imo.
I am not sure, balanced landing opens up many possibilities. No way lithe can be better than balanced landing imo.
It is a great perk though, now I can use it whenever I want. Reaching exit gates, saving teammates, gaining distance and making the killer lose my track etc.
-
That's why I always refuse to play with the best perks or the best 'strategies' etc.
They are the first things to go and players who got used to play with them feel naked when the crutches are taken away.
Exhaustion changes didn't hit me, main building changes didn't hit me, borrowed time buff didn't hit me etc. I am pretty sure that the new anti tunneling DS is not gonna hit my killers just like the nerfed DS will not hinder my survivors.
I hope the new changes ensure a better experience for all players.

What do you guys think of the ruin changes?
Ruin didn't change?
It is more consistent right now, if you have ruin 3, you won't even notice a difference.
-
It is gonna be on 1 PM EST.
Still 1 and half an hour to go.
-
No, it is the distance you can see survivors from.
It is a QoL change, now BBQ 1 has the same value BBQ 3 has, the only difference is bloodpoints (60/80/100)
If you have BBQ 3, you won't even notice a difference.

I think tiers 1 and 2 of Ruin and BBQ also got buffed. They're going to lose their minds.
Honestly, I rather call them QoL changes, they are not buffs. But yeah, survivors gonna strike again calling them buffs.
-
Wow, it might actually make the legion upper mid tier.
Sloppy butcher + Thanatophobia = something like 50 second healing time (Efficiency wise)
If you try to heal, good luck to you.
If you don't try to heal, good luck to you with 100-110 second generators.
Much, much better than the dying light.
-
Im interested in full games not made up cut scenes
Zubat is easily the best billy I have ever seen.
Other options for me is Marth and Fungoose.
-
It is today 1pm EST, came from official dbd discord.
-
I'd rather go against a good nurse than a bad legion.
Playing against legion feels like playing a single player game with no story to me.
If the legion doesn't chase you, repair gen which is basically looking at 80 second progress bar. If the legion finds you, stabs you and starts to chase somebody else, go find a safe space and look at another 20 second progress bar. If the legion chases you, try to waste as much as time but there is not much you can do, he is gonna get you.
That's exactly my whole experience with the legion, he is the least favorite killer to play as or against for me. Stating that, I don't claim everybody has the same experience I have but yeah, this is pretty much it.

It'll turn out to be just fine yet certain whiny killers will still complain because they can't complain DS is broken anymore and have to actually adapt to changes. Which is what most people on both sides or those that play both sides have no problem doing.
I don't run it but if slugging becomes mainstay i'll run it along with Unbreakable etc and make them adapt again. As a killer it won't really affect me in anyways since I'm always ready for a DS.
Just as i'm always ready for the DEAd Hard and AD etc, I plan ahead and expect it so if it's there no problem.
I like the fact that it is an anti tunnel perk but do you think that 60 secs is too long?
As a killer, sometimes I down people very easily especially with hag and spirit. Even though I don't tunnel, I might still get punished just because I was good enough to down 2 people in 60 secs.
On the other hand, if the timer lasts short, something like 30-40 seconds, it might not prevent tunneling since most killers get the first hit in 20 seconds and can wait for 10-15 seconds. Survivors won't even get a chance to heal themselves up to 95% at that point.
I wonder how the new DS will be.
-
I don't, just end my misery as quickly as possible.
-
They said before the end of this week so I am guessing it is not gonna be on the next Tuesday.
Either Wednesday or Thursday but Thursday is much more likely.
-
@Science_Guy said:
I'm still betting Wednesday. The FW thing is tomorrow, right? So we watch the streamer personalities play it, and then we get to test it soon after. Just like old times.
What is FW? @Science_Guy
-
Most probably Thursday.
I got it wrong, I thought they were gonna release the PTB after playing with the streamers but nope, the intention was very different.
As you know, almost always killers get changes and they are never stable because of the feedback. Most probably devs wanted those streamers' opinions on the new killer, her power and both survivor's and killer's perks.
This is why we didn't get too much information about the numbers on Monday stream, they will test the stuff with the streamers and will tweak those numbers (be it perk, status effect or the killer's own power), release them with the PTB and get the community's feedback.
Streamers will come back on Thursday so there is no need to delay the PTB further.
-
@Poweas I mean I have much more success with the spirit but how do you place spirit above nurse? Nurse is undeniably the best killer imo.
I mean I understand it is your opinion but there must be a reasoning.
-
Since the list is long, I don't want to explain.
Killers: Spirit > Hag > Clown > Huntress > Freddy > Doc > Myers > Pig > Billy > Leatherface > Wraith > Nurse > Trapper > Legion
Survivors: Claudette > Dwight > Meg > Kate and I don't use the rest tbh. Most probably I am gonna main Jane since I always wanted a hispanic mom in this game.
-
I don't think so.
This is a form of continuous income for them along with cosmetic store, and on top of that, new chapters keep the game fresh and alive, giving people a reason to play the game after a long time.

Funfact: even with this ability killers like freddy, clown, pig, wraith, myers, doc, trappyboi and hag would still be weaker than the king and queen of DBD.
I think that for some killers this is a great change. Take leatherface for example. IMO, his chainsaw is far less useful and much more difficult than Billy's chainsaw but he lacks the map pressure billy has on top of that.
When I said I didn't see this happening, I was referring to BHVR. I am pretty sure they won't go with this change.
As a fun thread, people can discuss it but I really don't see this happening.
