Slow killers have 110% movement speed. 115% is the default.

Yeah but when it comes to map pressure, slow and 'fast' killers are more or less the same. I am pretty sure he is talking about leatherface too even though he has 115% ms.

Look at Ironworks of misery. It is 10k m2

Which means it takes 100 meter to go from one end to the other.

Slow killers (I am gonna assume you are talking about 110 and 115% ms) takes something like 21 seconds.

Spirit with full phase will take something like 13-14 seconds (It is not gonna be enough for her power though)

Billy will take 10 seconds (230% ms)

I think the idea is good but those numbers really don't add up much.

  • @Bravo0413

Not even a minute, it might be actually 2 minutes. If you are interested here is one of my comments.

Yeah it is true, I didn't pay attention.

    https://www.twitch.tv/videos/390323677

22.47 all the way to the 23.03 and it eats something like 12-15% (The counter already made some progress)

I guess it is going to be 2 minute which is great imo. I want to see the effect in game.

I think that this perk will be great.

  • Normally, they drop PTBs around 11 AM EST.

They said sometime before the end of week though. It might be that they wanted to be vague in case something bad happens but I am not too sure.

Generally, some streamers would earn bloodpoints to pour into the new killer before he/she comes out but I haven't seen them doing that too.

I hope it is today, any delay will delay the chapter release too.

Yes, the survivor can get injured later.

I'm hoping an already-injured survivor will actually go down, like the Deep Wound effect, only not #########.

I'm guessing it'll drop any survivor one health state.

The fountain will heal a survivor, it says so in the OP.

I don't think it'll get treated like healing. In practice, you're cleansing yourself with it rather than healing. Healing is just a side-effect.

I wonder how much it is gonna take to use the fountain.

If it is gonna take 5 seconds, healing will be too powerful tbh. On the other hand, there aren't fountains everywhere so if we have to find them and It takes 20 seconds to use it, it is going to waste a lot of time.

I am curious how this killer will turn out to be. I hope the PTB is today but they said it is sometime in this week so It might be later on Thursday as well.

  • BBQ was almost the last Perk I was able to unlock on my spirit.

The only reason why it wasn't the last was because you can choose 2 perks and there were just overwhelming presence and BBQ. I was so unlucky.

"If" ;) I don't expect him to be able to explain to me in what situation they would be "aight".

-Dark Devotion would need a decent long timer on the terrorradiusswitch and since he said "a few seconds" it is most likely a complete waste. Especially since it already has a strict limitations, because it only works on the obsession

-Infectious Fright (######### your pants) is just a QoL perk. Very situational if might help you to avoid a palletstun safe or flashlight… but not really worth a perkslot.

-Corrupt Intervention is way to weak. "A few seconds" at the start of the match and than the perk is gone for good. That is like Ruin removed immediately at the start.

Corrupt intervention lasts 60 seconds right now and they might buff it. It might not be suitable for every killer but Trapper and Hag will benefit a lot imo. To a degree, Freddy can do too.

Infectious fright is a momentum perk that allows you to slug and down multiple people and It might be really useful for killers like Spirit and Nurse. I am not too sure but we'll see.

I don't like Dark devotion, so I have no opinion on that. If the timer is good enough, it might be useful.

    Survivor perks.

Solidarity is extremely situational, It is rare that you heal somebody up and even rarer that you are injured while healing somebody else. We'll make it is 10 times better than this one, I can't understand how people think this perk is somewhat powerful.

Poised is kind of a good hit and run perk for stealthy survivors but it will only activate 2 or at most 3 times during a trial, it is not that good but not terrible either.

Head on is a good perk but out of all the exhaustion perks, I would say it is the worst one. It makes locker jukes somewhat viable but it can be baited like pallet drop. We have to see.

8 Gens at the start of the match, minus 3 you got 5 and if all Survivors are spread out there is 1 Gen with no one on it and if the Killer finds that first then the Survivors have time to hide when they get close. This isn't powerful if it's just the start of the match for maybe 12 seconds, this fine if it was base because it's maybe 12 seconds.

As a perk I hope it's like Deja Vu and activates after every Gen, if it doesn't and it's just the 3 at the start, this perk sucks and needs to change.

There are 7 generators in the game, not 8.

Depending on the timer, something like deja vu after every generator would be overpowered af. The last 3 generators will not even be repairable for a time.

Everything depends on the timer, if it is something like 20-30 seconds, it is a wasted perk slot but if it is something like 60-90 seconds, it is a really good early game perk. There are killer like the hag too, you will be able to close those 4 generator area.

  • Honestly, I am really hyped for the corrupt intervention. All I need as a killer is early game pressure, survivors will not be able to gen rush me at the other end of the map and I will know exactly which 4 generators I will have to look at after my first chase. I hope its numbers don't suck man, something like 60-90 seconds would be cool as fck.

  • The perk is powerful enough to be not a base feature.

Gen rush needs something serious not a band aid, and when we get that stuff, this base will be too powerful.

  • @HatCreature said:

I run no mither, unbreakable, tenacity, and dead hard/SB for an "I'm not dead yet" build. It's fun, but nobody ever leaves me on the ground long enough... legion or otherwise.

I mean obviously 'nobody' was an exaggeration but it is close to almost nobody. I don't even remember the last time I have had a no mither teammate.

  • I hope it is tomorrow but they said sometime in this week and it worries me a little bit.

I can wait for the PTB but any delay to PTB is a delay to actual chapter drop. I hope it is soon enough.

  • @Carpemortum said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/346923#Comment_346923

Not true. They're all situational and can be saved. Except sprint burst. Which you could technically walk and save, or regain exhaustion while in the locker. It doesnt really REQUIRE you to pass on anything. Just play smarter if you run both.

I'll run lithe and balanced landing sometimes if I plan on being a runner, just so I have 2 chase options based on situation.

What you said is true since I do it with dead hard and balanced landing but it will make them waste 2 perk slots and a lot of survivors are not willing to do that. The new perk is cool but compared to other exhaustion perks, it is too situational to be used.

  • If survivors tbag me at the exit gates, I am so fcking gonna puke on them.

Just imagine, everybody is puking at the exit gates. That's so great lmao.

  • Yeah, in the PTB, you will have a huge advantage over the plague with no mither.

Be careful about using no mither in the normal game though, if you come across with a nurse, hag, or spirit, huntress the game will be over for you.

People said the same thing for the legion and used it against him in the PTB but nobody uses no mither since you can come across with any killer.

The only thing this will do is ensure no totem perks ever succeed and gens get done faster. Then a 100% BP reward on top of it? How about keep dreaming? Cleansing totems is not a challenging secondary objective. It's akin to stating searching chests is a secondary objective. Where is the failure portion at? Objectives require that stipulation.

    I don't think so.

Bloodpoint reward is going to slow the game a lot if you think about it, at least if it goes in the way I think. Survivors will try to find totems and waste too much time doing nothing. Add the fact that more than 1 survivors use this perk, they might not even go for the gens and the saves.

You are right about the hex perks though, this perk can make them a target so there is that.

  • I am so gonna main her lmao.

    I can't even wait.

  • @Gorgonia said:

Really? It didn’t even come out and you’re already complaining? I’m starting to think a lot of you want the game to be easy for whatever side you play instead of playable for both.

No the thing is that users love creating doom scenarios in this forum. Instead of practice, they go with theories.

Just look at how OP presented the case. All of the survivors are injured, all of them have the perk, and all of them are near each other. How many times something like this happens?

  • @Mc_Harty said:

Survivors are going to find her bullshit and Killers are going to find her pathetic. Such is the order of things on the Dead by Daylight forums.

    lol great sum up.

  • Yeah, she is really interesting and not dull.

Even though I love the clown, killers like him have extremely boring powers. This new killer brings a lot of stuff to the table and we'll see in the PTB.

I am excited to try the new stuff.

  • @TheRealDweard said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/346901#Comment_346901

Still a very strong perk. If you know what your doing and can out smart a killer in a chase long enough to use the perk.

It is an exhaustion perk though. People need to give up their sprint bursts, balanced landings, dead hards, and lithes to use it.

As a killer, I take this perk over any other exhaustion perk tbh. It is too situational.

  • I wonder if she can stack the corrupted fountains.

  • Yeah, as a survivor main, I just can't see how this perk is powerful. It is rare that I heal somebody up, and even rarer that I am injured when I am healing somebody else.

    We'll see I guess.

  • @ShyN3ko said:

The killer perks are rly interesting.

But i hope that the numbers are good.

    Example:

    Corrupt Intervention.

When the game starts, 3 Gens are locked for 60 seconds.

This perk is interesting, but trash with this numbers.

I dont waste a perk slot for 60 seconds.

I mean, "We'll Make It" has 90 seconds for 100% healing speed.

    After every unhook.

    Thats just rly strong.

Yeah but imagine killers like the hag.

You will be able to put your traps around 4 closest generators and you don't even need to worry about the furthest ones. It has such a huge potential honestly.

It might be a meta perk, we'll see. I hope the numbers don't suck.

  • Yeah, the new communication thingy is a lot better imo.

I wonder if they deliberately didn't show actual gameplay to save some hype for the PTB as well?

  • Everybody talks about healing perks but they are too situational. Just think about it, you need to be in the injured state to use the perk. In some matches, I can't even heal somebody.

Even now I can see two solidarity users trying to heal each other and waste 1 minute lol

  • This perk can be godly on the Nurse. I am curious how it is going to turn out.

  • Red Wood theme is kind of out of place tbh.

I think that a Swamp theme for the temple would be a lot better if we are gonna use the existent realms. I wish it had its own realm but I liked the new map anyway.

  • It is a good perk but too situational, perks like dead hard is much more useful.

A good mindgame perk though, lockers receive some love in the latest updates.

  • I am interested in the corrupt intervention, I hope its number don't suck.

  • @RSB said:

Killer's first 2 perks are mediocre at best, and her third perk (blocking 3 gens for X time at the start of the match) is gonna be trash, I think.

Syrvivor's perk with healing sounds kinda broken, the scratchmark perk seems weak and the locker one is OK I think.

Interesting, I think that the locker perk creates a lot of mindgames and saves survivors' asses many times, I thought that was the best perk for survivors.

I think her third perk could be really good if they increase the time, I am not really interested in the first 2 ones though.

The killer ones looked pretty lackluster to me. That early gen stalling one would have to last way, way longer than the time they mentioned for that to be worth a slot.

IKR? I hope they increase the time and it actually does something because it does look promising and having an early pressure. I really am interested in that perk.

The gen and slugging ones sound pretty good.

Depends on how long those 3 gens are disabled. If its a minute or 2 where the 3 furthest gens can't be worked on then wow that'll be good

Yeah I hope it is something like 1 or 2 minute. If it is 10 seconds I am gonna cry lol

  • @Ihatelife said:

Solidarity might be actually a meta perk. I like this.

Poised? Not really good, but maybe will be helpful in some situations.

Head on...mhm. I think this perk is supposed to help you leave the basement when the killer is tunneling you, but I hope this perks have a cooldown. Seems op.

It causes exhaustion and doesn't trigger if you are exhausted.

Very very interesting perk, Bubba mains are upset.

  • Yeah, we have seen what is going to happen but we don't know what it will actually do.

What do you guys think about the new perks. Honestly, I love the new locker perk, but I can't speak for the rest of the perks.

  • I always wanted a mama hispanic survivor. My dreams!

  • No offense but Ace mains tend to be as sholes trying to farm people. I never trust an Ace main.

  • @Ihatelife said:

I hope she will look as well interesting like the killer...

Kate is a bae but I find her too boring tbh. I am hoping for a new interesting female survivor too.

  • @Boss said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/346524#Comment_346524

    Indeed.

Just saying i think no one should be overly hyped for these before you get to actually see their spotlight or play them.

The thing is that the legion teaser was just a photo showing 4 different people. What we expected was entirely different that what we got, this is why people got a little bit upset.

After that, a launch trailer got released and by the time they released it, most people knew him and complained that it was nothing like what was shown.

I don't think people expect anything from this killer so I don't expect any disappointment in that regard. Stating that, the killer might be a little bit weak but I am pretty sure they will buff her.

And the reason why they couldn't buff the legion is because he is perceived as annoying and survivors oppose any kind of buff until his core mechanic gets changed and requires skill. They showed a good intention with the spirit, and I am hopeful tbh.

  • Yeah that's for sure.

I don't even think they will use a defunct ancient religion. They most probably made up one for themselves and made it fit to the ancient times.

Clothes do look like latin/greek though.

Read the second point, and if you want to learn the reason, a couple of messages before not_Queen's message, runestarr asked for no PTB. She said that they needed it.

I wish we could get the new chapter as soon as possible but I doubt it.

  • @Mister_xD said:

technically speaking, we do not know weather there is going to be a PTB or not.

if we look at the date the last killer arrived in the fog, tomorrow should be the release day for The Plague.

guess we'll see when the dev stream starts ^^

I can only hope but a dev said they needed a PTB to test the stuff.

Also we know that the decisive strike is gonna go to the PTB first, it doesn't make sense to not try the new chapter on the PTB and release it, while there is a PTB anyway.

I hope for illness and new animations from survivors

Now that you mention it, I want it too but I am not sure if they are gonna go with that since it would cause a lot of money.

They kind of did something with the new mend but It would be gorgeous if survivors' appearance change with the disease.

  • I think they are changing the way they present chapters.

Launch trailers were stupid since we already knew the new killer and the survivor because of the PTB. This way is way better imo. They released the launch trailer, most probably we are gonna learn a lot about the new chapter today on the dev stream, tomorrow we are gonna try the new stuff and then we will get the new chapter.

Cant wait to figure out what this has to do with the Mali flag or religion for that matter

I don't think there is any relation to Mali flag whatsoever.

In the past, people thought that diseases were curses and priests could cure them. Hell, even in the USA right now, people believe in 'faith healing'. The place is called the temple of purgatory too, and purgatory means 'having the quality of cleansing or purifying'. Most probably something related to a priestess and faith healing.

  • Which era do you guys think this new killer belongs to?

The plague happened in the middle ages but it looks like she wears ancient Greek clothes like Medusa. Also it is a temple and architecture looks like old ancient Greek/Roman buildings.

  • Which culture is this?

It looks like she wears ancient Greek, latin clothes. The plague happened in the middle ages though. I want to learn this.
