  • Killer Perk: Modify - Your time using your ability has taught you to be more efficient in using your tools. The charge time of your ability is decreased by 5/10/15%. (Or whatever the percentage was on the original tinkerer)

  • I think they should add an emote where the survivor puts a finger up to their mouth to say "Sshhhh" as well as one for telling everyone to run.

So we're resorting to calling people that you don't even know idiots now? You're real brave behind the screen. Whatever though, you've already bored me out of my mind. All I was trying to say was sometimes it's not always the persons fault when they DC.

Also "Then maybe don't play a game where you [BAD WORD] over 3 other people everytime you get disconnected." Maybe you shouldn't assume that people ONLY play survivor. Go beg for DS buffs or some other survivor crap and stop being a douche to people who are trying to explain their point of view.

You continue to prove that you didnt read my OP

No I did, I'm aware there should be a penalty for people who rage quit. But that penalty shouldn't have the capacity to also backfire and punish people with bad internet! I understand what you're trying to say but you seem to not understand what I'M trying to say. Instead of calling people idiots because they don't fully agree with your idea, maybe stop acting like everybody is at fault and maybe there can be a real discussion here.

All you people suggesting bad internet is a problem in this issue.

IF YOU GET DISCONNECTED SO OFTEN THAT YOU WORRY YOU WILL BE AFFECTED DONT PLAY A MULTIPLAYER GAME YOU EGOISTIC [BAD WORD]

You forget that internet can have days with good connection and days with bad connection. You DON'T get to decide "Hmmm, hey internet router, if you're good today you might get a treat."

LOL. After the last stream I talked to Not_Queen in Twitch chat and she told me it's LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE for them to do this right now. Didn't say why when I asked, just that it's IMPOSSIBLE.

Could be because it's hard to determine if they disconnected on purpose, or if they have bad internet and it kicked them.

The game already knows the difference between not getting into the game and leaving during the game in progress. What you're suggesting is simply not true.

My internet has crapped out multiple times IN THE MIDDLE OF THE MATCH, not in the loading screen, THE MIDDLE OF THE MATCH. It even happened in a KYF and the symbol that my friend saw was the cord unplugging, even though I never paused the game and manually quit.

  • The problem with banning people who disconnect is that you reeallly don't know why they left, they could have raged sure, but they also could have bad internet and it kicked them. When someone DCs i'll message them asking "Rage or bad internet?". I don't want to look like a douche when I tell them to "Grow up and deal with it" when them leaving wasn't their fault. If you have Frontier as an internet provider you'll most definitely know they are trash, and you know you will most likely get booted from a match because you lost connection.

  • What the hell? Why did it do that?

  • From what I've been reading, it doesn't seem to be a bug. It seems like the devs wanted it to be more accurate. You don't recoil in pain when something that is a foot away from you drops do you?

There is no matchmaking when it comes to swf.

Exactly my point for why they need to be put with a killer who is the same rank as the best survivor in the group.

  • The only times I camp is when 1 gen is left and is about to pop, or that survivor was making it unfair for the others or just overall being a douche to the others. I don't want survivors like that in my match ruining it for everyone else.

  • @iceman2kx said:
I think some sort of BP modifier based on rank is a great idea, although I can see SWF groups abusing it big time and bully rookie killers. Generally though, I agree, there's not really a point to getting rank 1 other than the achievement.

Easy SWF fix, Put them in a lobby with a killer who is rank 1-6. lol

Edit: or with the same rank as the best survivor in the SWF

The Spirit is totally survivor approved.

She isn't cooldown is too quick. 5 minutes would be suitable.

Might as well make selfcare activate 5 minutes after escaping the killer then. Would the entitled survivor like that? I'm pretty sure you won't

  • The only problem I have with it is that it is too easy to know that the sound came from Diversion. The notification is too high up, no notifications show up 10 feet off the ground on flat land. Maybe if the devs added a reticle that allowed survivors to aim it more effectively it could be pretty good.

    Cause you are slower xd

Here is something from the patch notes. "The Spirit: Fixed the lunge distance so it is consistent with other regular speed killers (also fixed Huntress and Hag)" It's NOT because she's slower.

  • I've noticed that when you use addons to increase the spirit walk duration, they don't do jack. You're still spirit walking the same amount of time as if you didn't even have the addons. This chapter is extremely buggy.

Yeah but if you kill the obsession early then Save the Best for Last becomes useless unless they are swarming the hook allowing you to hit them before the sacrifice is complete. remember that StBfL requires you to NOT hit the obsession because you lose tokens if you do. But Dying Light requires you to hit the obsession. So unless you slug the obsession on their last hook, or can manage to get hits in on the others before the sacrifice is complete, StBfL is pretty much useless.

What they should do is just release the pc version whenever it is ready. Give us a time frame of when they think that will happen. Then, do the best they can to get the console version out as soon as possible. It would be cool if consoles could get the update at time same time as pc, but it's incredibly stupid to force pc to wait an extra week or two for no reason other than the fact that they want to wait for console approval.

    Chapter is available on Steam.

  • @Elegant said:
The problem here is that they are purposely delaying the pc launch just to try and not make console players mad. Pc players shouldn't be punished because of consoles problems.

Turns out the chapter just became available on Steam.

  • Same here, except I didn't get to kill them because they dc'd XD

Thursday is not Early this week dude, they specifically said Early this week on stream

    Mon/Tue = Early

    Wed = Mid

    Thursday + = Late

I forgot to put in "Early" so I'll just fix it here. THEY ARE "HOPING" FOR EARLY THIS WEEK.

    my momma told me:

1.- Remove the word "soon" from any official thread, this only trolls and is hopeless for our nerves

2-. Up to 24hrs after closing the PTB, say the exact date, time and timezone the DLC/PTB is online

I agree with removing the word "Soon" for the same reason as you. But the "EXACT" date would be near impossible due to set backs that can occur, which would very obviously end up in a delay. The devs don't know 100% when they can implement the updates, It's the same thing that happened with the Clown and the shop, they had no idea when it would get approved. The problem that they really need to fix is their lack of communication with the community, and based on a comment I saw from not-Queen it seems they are trying to fix that.

By bulk numbers DbD had more players than ever before, not to mention the recent PS+ free game offer. Should be an abundance of players, more so when the new killer drops

It wasn't free due to you being required to pay for a PS+ membership. On PlayStation if it says free for PS+ members, it's not really free.

(also why no survivor hex totem perks lol)

Because survivors have nothing for the killer to go around and break other than pallets and gens. Also the killer needs to spend as much time as possible chasing the survivors and doesn't need to waste their time doing anything other than trying to kill the survivors.

I think it would be cool if they added something like a dreamcatcher or something that the killer could break (would break on click instantly) and perks would be like "One uncompleted Gen is revealed to each survivor" until the killer breaks the dreamcatcher" idk lol.

the killer is not really in a position to bother with stuff like that without running the risk of the survivors escaping. Maybe if it didn't effect the game too much and doesn't give the survivors too much of an edge, it could be a nice idea for the killer to have an option of leaving it without getting majorly screwed over due to leaving it.

Idk why, but Pigs on console tend to camp and tunnel more than any other Killer on console.. why? I'm curious. I feel like Pig is meant to make the game a little longer but I may be wrong.

Eh, I never camp unless they give me a reason to such as survivors swarming the hook.

I'll camp if a survivor is not being fair to the others, Ex, Ratting them out, watching them die on hook, body blocking windows, etc.

  • They probably want to get as many bloodpoints as possible in each match so they can cap it at 1,000,000 so they can blow it all on the Spirit.

  • @HellDescent said:
Doctor's power is fine just add distressing and you have addons to extend the range of carter's spark and his static field.

I'm talking about without add ons. Add the fact that he slows down a little while he's charging allowing the survivor to just barely gets out of range.

  • My internet is not the greatest and have been accused of lag switching more times than there are Need for Speed movies. It wouldn't be fair for someone to be banned because they have bad internet.

  • I want to know why Doctor's power range is so short. you basically have to be grinding against the survivor in order for it to work as well.

Omg piggy .. and how is this perk any good to killers when it's supposed to [BAD WORD]'em over.. you must be trolling

Worse killer idea this'd be the deja vu for killers ..

Bright as hell no ######### 🤣

I think some perks should actually have a downside to them. If the killer can see better in the dark, the downside would be bright lights would be brighter. It's how that works when your eyes adjust to the darkness. I think of it like a hex, it can be useful to the killer but the survivors can turn it back on the killer.

  • #########!!??

Edit: Just looked it up, nevermind.

"(Flashlight blindness effect will last 4/6/8% longer)"
😂 So much for the night eyes ... How is this a killer perk ?

You must Really hate killers lmao

It makes sense because your eyes are adjusted to the dark so when the light is shined in them it will last longer. Have you never been in a dark room for a couple of hours and then went outside on a sunny day? It's bright as hell!

  • I was playing KYF with one of my buddies, he was the Pig. I'm working on one of the 2 gens I need to do. It's almost complete and all I see is that damn nose of hers poke into the side of my screen, then the roar almost immediately afterwards. Scared the living hell out of me.

Yea it's really annoying. I don't know why they are so against telling the community about release dates/times. Every other game does it without much problem. Teasing can be fun/cool/interesting when they do it with killer reveals and things like that. But can you name a single other game that teases the release date of already known/tested content?

It's less that anyone is super "against" telling the community things, if BE is anything like the companies I've worked for. (Hi, former CM/Producer for various online games, but also a huge DBD fan.) It's more that dates can internally shift thanks to work taking longer or shorter, and missing a mark that's made public to the community results in huge backlashes, even if it's for a good reason.

The long and short of it is that more people end up getting angry if something is stated to come out on a specific day and then, for whatever reason, fails to make an appearance on that day. It shakes people's confidence, causes a huge stir, and generally leads to more headaches.

Keeping release dates quiet means that the team can internally shift things as needed without causing ire. It also gives them the flexibility to add things that previously weren't in scope without threatening a release, if they want to cram in some extra community feedback changes. That or, as DCM pointed out above me, because cert for console releases absolutely 1750% sucks.

Also, I should note, no one should ever blame the CM for setting or announcing any dates. While the CM is the name on the post, dates are more frequently set by production, marketing, and executive levels. A CM's job is more centered on collecting community feedback, championing community positions in meetings, and explaining company decisions to the community at large. And moderation. Lots of moderation.

The release will come. :) I'm quite excited too.

Thank you. This is the perspective I was trying (and failing) to convey.

THERE WE GO!! AN ACTUAL ANSWER! Thank you for this, unlike everyone else who is just arguing.

The devs think that leaving us in the dark is a "good" strategy to build up hype, It's not. In your attempts to build up hype by being quiet, and saying crap like "Soon" only ends up leaving the community EXTREMELY annoyed. Knowing what the devs have done in the past "Soon" could be a week from now.

Saying something like "Maybe it'll be this week" will build up more hype for people. It'll be more helpful than what not_Queen has done by further annoying us with "Soon™". Soon could be tomorrow, soon could be next week, hell maybe even next month. Be a bit more specific and it will build up more hype.

Amazing how you can get all this attention from making a post wondering why the devs are so secretive.

Your post just isn't about them being secretive but about how annoyed you are, and then being condescending, because your annoyed.

When YOU create a company and develop your own games, then you make up your own "strategies".

You got all the attention because your post is horseshit.

They have a community that is currently arguing with each other (Just look at the comments here), If THIS is their strategy, it is a very poor strategy.
