I know I've been vocal about my distaste for this killer before, but I've finally decided to switch over and play Hag. So whenever I’m not using my No Mither stealth build, or my “all the info I need” build, I’ve been running Dance With Me with Fixated (to know when I’m leaving scratch marks again) and WoO. I feel like a broken record because ive said this before but im just gonna say the DS nerf was bad because the perk was being treated like a mechanic by both the devs and players, what I mean by this is because of how popular DS was an obsession was virtually guaranteed and so killers where faced with a scenario where tunnelling was then discouraged. Like I've said one thousand times, there are more survivors than killers which is common sense. The developers listen to survivors more simply because there the majority and it'll be beneficial for the devs. What I don't understand is why DS was nerfed? Now Decisive Strike is much more of a pure anti-tunnel perk encouraging good gameplay from the Killer while not punishing him for doing good. Let's get this out of the way first... DS does NOT prevent tunneling. If the killer is going to tunnel you, they'll do it even after you use DS on them. It just prolongs it by 5 seconds. Prior to the nerf, killer mains who would WANT to tunnel would have the fear of DS in the back of their heads. That's what would prevent them from doing it. For the past 3-4 patches, i have been getting file validation error every single time... it’s unbearable This time, after a 2 GB update, the EAC again detected change in file, so i validated the file, and i have to download 16 GB just for replacement... Change this damn condition to "Make 4 kills in a game with native perks", instead of getting two pips. This is complete crap. On a killer like Trickster, this is simply unbearable and impossible. The game does not count getting knives in the category for the emblem where you need to catch the survivors as quickly as possible. Honestly even though trickster is painfully weak this is a pretty decent chapter aside from him. All 6 of the perks are intresting and while they might not be the strongest they have some use. Blight finally got fixed and feels much better to play. Wraith can finally be played without addons. DS has finally become an actual anti tunnel perk. "Point in the Killer's direction within 5 seconds of the perk Premonition activating. Do this 2 times". Sounds simple enough, but can't get this done. Apparently killers don’t have the Trickster with overpowered meta perks yet so the amount of slugging and tunneling is now an epidemic with all the meta killers and meta perks. Have only seen one Trickster today. Decisive strike can now be exploited by killers and it is a major issue. I havnt used DS in sooo long. Imo DS is pointless and isn't worth a perk slot. Got hooked and the doctor was kind of proxying so he came back. Hit the unhooker and I had some distance. Look behind me and the doctor really wants me... I loop him and get to an awful pallet loop (Its midwhich come on..). I notice my DS is almost up do I mess up purposely so I can move to another loop. Because so many survivors were used to have the 1 minute of inmunity, and now that they don't, they have to adapt his playstyle and improve. They just forgot how it feels to be in real danger. Pre DS nerf it was exceptionally rare to get a game without an obsession to the point many killers just automatically assume it is in the game, even when it wasn't. It actually felt weird when the obsession sound didn't play at the start of the match. Post nerf and now people have an issue using a perk slot for it and demand an auto obsession? I feel like there's some strange placebo effect going on. I haven't really noticed an increase nor a decrease in "tunneling". Whether you use the term loosely or strictly there hasn't been too much of a change imo. Not to mention the fact that there are some people that swear they're hard tunneled nearly every game or a large percentage of games. Killers will never be punished for chasing someone off a gen, and will never be punished for picking up an unhooker. But, No survivors run the perk anymore because they can't abuse it, and get tunneled by bad killers who will assume there is no DS. Survivors then cry. A lot. Solution? Play how you will, but PLEASE remember you are not playing a SINGLE PLAYER GAME. Don’t harass someone at a gen to be healed when you are NOT in immediate danger, ESPECIALLY if Ruin is still up. Help finish the gen, THEN you can be healed.
