I get it. It’s going to get trickier, and trickier implementing new gen perks going forward whereby the devs can avoid oppressive stacking. In theory (emphasis on theory) I can see how stacking Surge, Oppression, PGTW, and Eruption can be problematic, and survivors can’t remove them from the game like they can a hex. This said though, to not be able to highlight/prepare gens until AFTER the4 comments 31 views last activity

I am appalled and astonished that Hag is still flying under the radar. There is absolutely nothing fun about, or fair about: a) not even being able to simply WALK around the trial. WALK!!!! b) once in a chase it’s basically “screw you” because there is absolutely NOTHING you can do as a survivor if you run anywhere near a phantasm trap. Not even TOUCH the damn thing. Just run near it. c) th113 comments 1,071 views last activity

How does the perk function in regards to the cooldown? Once activated and on cooldown for 90 seconds, does it prohibit setting up gens during that cooldown? Or can gens be highlighted in yellow during the cooldown, and the only thing that’s prohibited is the activation upon a down during the cooldown?10 comments 121 views last activity

I don’t know what’s up, but my Clown matches have been abysmal the past few weeks. A lot of it has nothing to do with the skill of the survivors, and falls down to me just doing really dumb, stupid stuff like throwing tonics at pallets, then thinking “what was the point of me doing that?!” Yet I’ve been dominating almost all matches as Doc, and absolutely decimating survivors as Plague, making26 comments 471 views last activity

It’s great this was added. I put it on my David and Felix immediately. It’s no secret here, or on other social media that the charm has been very divisive. Some people have shown what the bowels of society still look like. And good gravy it’s 2021 for goodness sake. Anyway, that’s not what I want to talk about. There’s already too many posts about that. First, let me clear up the Visionary vs Déjà Vu debate. Déjà Vu primarily provides one purpose, and one purpose only: to ensure you, and your teammates do not give the killer a late game 3 gen by constantly updating the perk user with which 3 remaining gens would be the strongest for the killer to defend. Even with superb map awareness, Déjà Vu still provides a significant advantage to a solo pla3 comments 61 views last activity

So Bite The Bullet seems great. It’s wonderful that the perk confers the noise removal when doing co-op healing, which I’m glad for. Now... let’s talk about A Nurses Calling. Not exactly top tier meta, but pretty damn popular still. It’s incredibly frustrating running some sort of aura blocking, healing somebody (or being healed by someone), and the killer suddenly shows up mid heal, I see in t7 comments 171 views last activity

I wonder how they’ll work? What kind of powerful survivor abilities will Boons provide? Will they be entirely separate from the current totem count? I.e. If a killer decides to run 3 Hexes, and Haunted Grounds, where will the survivors Boon Totems go? Will they spawn like a hex? Or will a survivor need to find a dull totem to activate? Can the killer cleanse/break a Boon Totem? Will killers g17 comments 221 views last activity

I am playing on PS5. Since the update to Open Handed to extend aura reading ranges by 8/12/16m, there are a few instances where Open Handed (Tier 3) is NOT extended the aura reading range of expected interactions with aura reading. Open Handed is NOT partially countering Knockout (I was in a game against Myers running Knockout Tier 3 on Family Residence. He was slugging survivors, and when I w1 comments 2 views last activity

New Open Handed doesn’t seem to be working as intended (on PS5 at least). I rarely come across killers running Knockout, but yesterday I was up against a Myers on Family Residence running it. I thought (because I was running Open Handed with Bond & Visionary) “Score!!! We’re all going to be able to easily find anybody Myers slugs.” Imagine my surprise when going to search out anyone Myers7 comments 111 views last activity

Thank you. It was lovely to sign in and read a long string of supportive messages. Don’t ask what happened. You know it’s against the rules for me to discuss it. All I will say regarding it is that I let my temper get the better of me, and did the wrong thing. I now know what type of forum responses to 100% ignore from now on. Personally, I do like this perk a lot, but I do want it to be little more distinct from Déjà Vu, or simply using a map or Detectives Hunch. I think Visionary should also show repair progress (like Wraiths “All Seeing” - Spirit) for any gens within range that have their aura revealed. This would better help survivors in a chase know which gens to not lead chases to, and which gens should be prio16 comments 92 views last activity

It’s great they buffed this, but it’s still not enough. The perk is rarely useful. Here’s how I would change it. Whenever the killer hooks a survivor, Cruel Limit activates for 20/25/30 seconds. Whilst active, all vault locations within 32 metres of incomplete generators are blocked by the Entity. After the last generator has been repaired, any further hooking of survivors results in Cruel10 comments 161 views last activity

It’s astonishing to me that the Twins are about to get an extended cooldown after Victor achieves a successful down to minimise what is seen as an unfair snowball potential, yet Infectious Fright Nurse players are free to wreck teams at 5 gens, that have solo players lacking the information they require to attempt being well and truly out of her TR at all times before another survivor is put into16 comments 211 views last activity

Was just in a match on Iron Works whilst running Tenacity. I intentionally went down for a Meg being tunnelled by Deathslinger to buy her some time to escape. Of course he ignored me on the ground and kept going after Meg. Anyway, knowing Deathslinger would return for me the moment he downed Meg, I started to crawl away so I could get further away than expected, and out of the expected areas I kn43 comments 461 views last activity

I like the TR dependent perks, but Unnerving Presence definitely needs something more than what it currently does. It currently only serves Doc best for blatantly obvious reasons. I was thinking about how we sometimes still see posts about how Ruin was nerfed (which i strongly disagree with), and wish old Ruin was still in the game. What if, on top of Unnerving Presence current function, hitt5 comments 51 views last activity

Ok... My mind is spinning here. Since Gideon Meat Plant’s rework it’s been a semi frequent topic posted here, killers complaining about the amount of pallets on this map. And I just don’t get it. What exactly is bothering many of you with these pallets?! Yes, there Is a large overall volume of pallets. I’m finally going to do it. But I’ll need a lot of specific footage. So I need to collaborate with survivors based in Australia to do custom games together to enact a lot of specific scenarios. I’m on PS5, so PS4 or PS5 survivors make communication easier. But even if you’re not on those platforms, we can work something out regarding communication.5 comments 41 views last activity

It just can’t be argued. There’s so much anecdotal evidence currently. Even myself, I have found either a red or purple key multiple times, consecutive games straight without Plunderers. In fact when i was messing around with Plunderers in my Open Handed build for a day, my frequency of finding keys of any kind went DOWN! Something isn’t right. Like Stranger Things, Silent Hill, and other licenses beforehand, RE will bring in a large volume of curious fans that haven’t played DBD before. We don’t want another disaster where a large percentage of these new players are left with an abysmal first impression of DBD like what has happened in the past. I’ve loved all the map reworks. It’s been a lot of hard work from the devs to do that, so I’ve been perfectly understanding as to why we haven’t had a new map since Midwich. But surely we gotta get something new in the 5th anniversary chapter. Spencer Mansion? R.C.P.D. Precint?13 comments 201 views last activity

I mean geez... We got a scoring event added to the game recently for recovering in the dying state, and yet I’m STILL running all the way across the map (because I’ve waited on my gen in case someone else where much closer), only to get to the slug and they haven’t done any recovery AT ALL. Alrighty... I can at least concur that it isn’t always realistic for 1 survivor to do all 5 totems by themselves to avoid a potential NOED all the time. HOWEVER there are 2 perks, Rainbow Maps, or Map with Red Twine, that can help you find totems. If NOED (or any Hex) is that much of a problem for you, THEN YOU HAVE OPTIONS TO ASSIST YOU!!! So with the current live version of OoO, running Sole Survivor with OoO makes OoO stronger and stronger as tokens are gained. It sucks if teammates die, but the current live version of OoO + Sole Survivor significantly increased your odds of survival as the last survivor alive. Oddly, for some strange reason the devs have yet to reveal, new OoO will get progressively weaker when run with Sole S27 comments 481 views last activity

Mettle of Man allows a survivor to take an additional hit in the injured state after earning the endurance status effect. This is earned by first taking 3 protection hits, and then (quite fairly) has a downside if the survivor is ever healed to healthy. In other words, the devs thought that MoM provides enough of a strong enough advantage that it requires stringent conditions to earn it, and52 comments 681 views last activity

Take the sunny look further. Overexpose just a little bit to create a super harsh afternoon sun look. Make us feel the oppressive heat. Even perhaps make the angle of afternoon sun random, and introduce glare for players looking in that direction. There have been tons of horror films that have used bright, harsh light to great effect. Let’s bring that to DBD.0 comments 21 views last activity

Despite initially hating The Twins A LOT, some weird masochistic part of me has been patiently, persistently playing them whenever I’ve needed a break from my other mains. And after an amount of abysmal matches too high to count, my Twins games have improved a lot. Here are some things I’ve learned. I don’t care anymore if a survivor kidnaps Victor. It always annoyed me that the repair buffs were removed from this perk. It may have seemed unnecessary to have the repair buff anymore because of EGC/Blocked Gens, and seeing the hatch aura is indeed nice, but there are still regular games occurrences of the killer either slugging the second to last survivor to use as bait (or search for the hatch), or once third survivor is killed, camp the ha4 comments 51 views last activity

It was nice that this perk got a buff, but it’s still not enough to give players a compelling reason to equip this perk. So my idea is: get rid of the endgame condition. Have it active all game. Get rid of the aura reading. Get rid of the bonus BP, and 50% healing speed bonus. Simply make it so that it’s a constant match long buff of 50% increased speed to unhooking.5 comments 71 views last activity

Yo Killers & Survivors. Have you ever played killer and had to face super stealth survivors, and the game comes to a complete stall? Have you ever played Survivor and wondered how on earth the killer just found you? I’d really like to see them become denser, and taller. My reasoning being that I want for there to be an equal lack of visibility for either Survivor or Killer. This way it’s still a great hiding spot for Survivors, but the risk is greater, as seeing the killer will be more difficult, forcing survivors to rely more on sound and the TR.12 comments 151 views last activity

It’s all well and good claiming either of these perks are unnecessary with a good base knowledge of map awareness. In the case of solo survivor however, it’s simply not easy to always know which pallets have and have not been used. This is something many of you already acknowledge with WoO. “Why would you use Babysitter instead of BT?!” You don’t. Or just use both. Babysitter is NOT meant to be a substitute for BT. Babysitter’s help as an anti camping tool is MEANT to be marginal.
