  • I kinda like how you need this and iron will to counter stridor so I don't agree with increasing the noise buff.

    • When you complete a generator, cleanse a dull totem, heal a Survivor, preform a safe unhook, or take a protection hit gain a token.
    • Each action listed can only give a single token each up to a max of 5 total tokens.
    • Tokens 1-4 increase your non-repair action speed by 5% (up to a max of 20%) and Survivors can see your aura while within 6 meters (up to a max of 24)
    • Token 5 increases your movement speed by 3% while both outside of the Killers terror radius and not in a chase.

    At first I thought it was too strong but I glossed over the outside of TR and not in chase condition so I take my initial impression out, but I strongly feel the wording should be changed. Just list every action besides vaulting, gen repair, self healing and mending then the perk would be balanced. having a max 20% self heal sounds a tad it too strong to me, especially considering how the perks seems more of a team player perk.

    I just gotta ask one thing. How would the perk tell if a survivor finished a whole gen or only joined in at the last second? I feel until this can be consistently represented the perk should find an alternative to tracking a gen. It'll be one thing to just slowly fill up the perk icon to show your progress but then you won't be able to track all the other objectives you would need to do

    Another thing you can do is tunnel someone off the hook and get hit by the DS, which 8/10 times every survivor should have, and get a new obsession. The loss shouldn't matter too much since that's once less DS to worry about and you get your obsession perks back. Also, like someone mentioned earlier, a 3v1 is way easier to deal with than your standard 4v1.

    Problem about that suggestion is once dying light is deactivated it loses all its stacks so he'll have to start from scratch if it happened mid game.

    Also the 3v1 aint the problem. The problem is how one dc can screw over a build. Although i feel when the survivor husks get added things will be better. Or worse. Who knows lol. I could just never kill the husk and I'll always have dying light up. But we don't know how it'll work soooo

  • At least he doesnt get cucked out of the pip system as badly as other one shot killers

    One of the main things I miss about the older versions of this game is the huge number of different window spawn variations (Landing windows in that one Haddonfield house, the groaning storehouse main building, the wretched shop main building, etc.). I understand that these were obviously removed due to the ridiculous strength they gave survivors but is there really nothing we could do to these maps to bring back these window spawns while maintaining fair balance? I know that some maps that these windows were on still aren't balanced but that's a whole other topic. Surely if one of these windows was open, the building that it spawned in could be altered in some way. For example, if the old groaning storehouse window opened, couldn't another doorway spawn further down on the same wall? Or if the landing windows spawned in that Haddonfield house, a balcony could be added to the side of the house that the windows are on.

    Short answer is its just easier to not do all this just to bring back s troublesome window.

    Haddonfield has literal infinities for ALL killers except Nurse and Spirit.

    Hawkins is a congested indoor map. Yeah...it’s bad for Huntress.

    They don’t DC on The Game because it’s bad for Huntress but because it is a very boring map. It’s pallet kicking simulator.

    I have never seen either one DC on Coldwind Farm.

    I’m not gonna deny the fact that she can get looped on certain maps and tiles. She can feel powerless at times.

    She did get a slight buff though because she now had a directional lullaby.

    Huntress at her very strongest is easily better than Freddy. Freddy has more consistency though. Huntress has flaws but a good Huntress is scary and her at her strongest has more potential than Freddy does IMO. Agree to disagree on that.

    However I suck at Huntress and I do not main either Huntress or Freddy. I find Freddy a bit boring and I do not like the layout of the dream world.

    Also realistically speaking here, how much maps are out there that huntress can show 100% of her power. And how much limit her?

    Consistency is a big deal on tier lists in general. Especially personal lists so i can see your point but at the same time its a pretty hard thing to rank. If a killer is basicaly deemed to lose due to getting unlucky with 1/3 of the maps i generally would stray away from said killer. Kinda why leatherface is pretty low on most people lists. His power is virtually useless if the survivors are not out of position. Not saying huntress is bad but she gets limited depending on the map.

    Why Bubba and billy will be useless? Its a Vulnerability state counter not a M2 counter, bubba and billy will insta down with chainsaw anyway

    Ahh my bad, i read it wrong so dont mind them lol

  • @CakeDuty said:

    It's sounds like an interesting idea and a way for people to use non meta perks and more diverse builds. But like @yandere777 said, it's just gonna make people add another meta perk to their build. They could make it something like each character could have a fifth perk that's their own teachable. Though, that'd mean you'd see Megs with Adrenaline, DH, DS, BT and IW/BL and Billys with Enduring, Spirit Fury, Pop, BBQ and Ruin. In the end it'd end up becoming even stale like it is now.

    Your idea would make a meta defined by characters instead of perks. Nobody wants a meta character, especially in dbd where the devs always say no to giving survivors stat changes. Neat idea but it only can work if it were introduced at launch

  • @MrJack20252 said:

    MoM have a cooldown of 4/3.45/3.30 minutes;

    When you are full health it will protect you from a fatal hit (caused by the Vulnerability status effect, killers with chainsaw can oneshot you anyway) but it will cost you 1 health state (Example: if Tier 3 Myers hit you when you are full Health you will be injured instead of be downed);

    MoM increase the chance of be the Killer's obsession;

    MoM will just be a counter to the "Vulnerability" status effect (it will work against NOED);

    When you will be Full Health again the killer can see your aura for 4 secs;

    MoM will give you the Broken status for 80/70/60s;

    So instead of it being an M1 counter its an M2 counter? Sorry but i dont like this version. It makes bubba useless, billy's skillful curves are being countered and myers is also being countered. It honestly just rewards bad play for being out of position enough to get hit by these abilities. I'd say the only good thing it does is counter noed but its still just countering the killers counter to adrenaline. This perk is a nono for me cause in almost every situational it would activate, the survivor generally deserved to get hit

  • @Auron471 said:

    I just thought of an idea for a killer perk that not really balanced but i just thought it was interesting.

    Cruel Care:

    Become obsessed with one survivor. This survivor has a 3% haste bonus and performs repairs, cleansing, and healing 25/20/15% faster. If the obsession is hooked, or dies, this perk deactivates. The obsession can pick themselves up from dying state. If the obsession DCs, become obsessed with another survivor that is not hooked.

    If one of the following conditions are met, the trial immediately ends and all remaining survivors die.

    If all non-obsession survivors are dying, hooked, dead or have escaped.

    If all non-obsession survivors are on death hook.

    If all non-obsession survivors are injured but not broken and have been hooked at least once.

    If all non-obsession survivors are still in the trial when EGC timer reaches 50%

    I don't get it. The perk deactivates when the obsession dies but you only get the good effects of the perkv if there is no obsession. Since the perk deactivates the rest of the effect is void soc you'll never get the intended effect.

    Assuming it's not like this I'll just say that the conditions are also wonky. Everyone dies if they were hooked once and are currently injured, everyone dies if they all are on death hook or if they stay past the 50% mark or egc. The first 2 effects are strong. Especially on legion and/or you are using thana with dying light. All you gotta do is hook everyone once, use a mori on the obsession and the moment everyone gets injured they all die? Sounds too easy to me.

    The perk will also be the biggest hindrance on 110% killers like huntress, maybe hag, spirit and it even messes with bubba because of the haste it'll give survivors. The gen speed buff it'll give will also hurt you, making endgame so much easier for them to get to. There is too much risk to this perk but i feel like it wasnt all that thought out. The perk is more survivor sided than killer sided lmao.

  • @The_Bootie_Gorgon said:

    blah, all valid responses...

    I just play the game. If i got huntress then rip my bp and pip but imma go for that daily and still try to win. It's fun having a change of pace every once in a while

  • If you bodyblock while they are carrying a survivor then it will count all the time

  • @Forceful_Spork said:

    With the incredible amount of perks currently in the game (and ever-increasing), what would you guys think about 5 perk slots (for both sides)? This would allow for more creativity and fun in builds, without having to forfeit the strong perks that help you to win. As for the UI, the 5th slot would go in between the 4 current ones.

    Or as a devil's advocate it would make the meta even more stale. The meta builds will just become more stacked and i can just imagine a killer build like this

    Billy with charge speed add ons/ curve addons

    Ruin

    Spirit fury

    Enduring

    Pop

    Save the best for last

    Survivor

    Adrenaline

    Dead hard

    Decisive strike

    Borrowed time

    Balanced landing

    These builds are pretty darn busted if you ask me

    This is just my opinion.

    What's yours?

    I kinda like kates backstory, pretty cool.

    Debatable.

    Freddy doesnt deal with borrowed time

    The point of devotion is so you don't need to keep earning more and more XP to level up. Yes it would be nice if you got some kind of reward for each level of devotion, but it's not entirely pointless.

    But its worse after you actualy get reset. It's so much dumber getting shards at a low level, I'd prefer staying at the same level pace then before it resets me

  • It has its moments. At endgame if you dont have adrenaline for some ungodly reason and you're hooked. When you get unhooked that boost of speed can help of you're being camped. If you face a legion its an easy counter to him but wraith can counter sprint burst pretty easily. Has its pros and cons but I'd say it's worth a slot. Lithe is a tad bit too situational, balanced gets cucked on some maps but can be perfect on other maps. There's never a time you won't be able to use sprint burst unless it's already used.

    Vigo did a lot for survivors,

    Vigo made the hatch

    Vigo even made the Pustula Nectar formula.

    However, due to all of the above feats it's likely that the Entity got tired of his tinkering with her realm and captured him.

  • @Peanits said:

    It's because of the way cosmetics work. Survivors are split into three pieces; a head, a torso, and legs. A hoodie with the hood up would cover both the head and the torso, which would require it to take up two slots. This isn't something that's possible at the moment. Otherwise, you'd have a lot of really horrible clipping. For example, take Dwight's parachute hair and imagine how much that would poke through the top of his hood.

    The Legion, on the other hand, is designed with that in mind. They are split into a mask, a weapon, and a body. Because of this, masks don't run the risk of clipping with the body (since the hoods don't cover their faces), so they can have the hook up no problem.

    What if there was a survivor who has a hoodie up and the head section chooses the pattern of the hoodie, torso would change what kind of hoodie they where and legs would be the pants.

    As a rank 1 killer i gotta disagree with you. Ever since that change to swf rankings, I've been able to tell if they were swf based on ranks and i haven't had a single game with a super low rank that wasnt swf. Even the lowish ranks do okay in my games. It's not really my fault if they knowingly put their newish friends into the high ranks. If the op actualy wanted to teach his friends he shouldve done kyf or just let em play at their actual rank.

    Being reminded of my real yellow and green rank days got me way too much PTSD lmao. I'm really wondering what the devs have to say on this phantom hit though. I find it hard to be a ping issue due to me being host and it should not be an aim assist thing because aim assist is supposed to not exist in this game,(even though my aim insists on wanting to attack thin air) I guess I'll just @Peanits because I'm wondering about this. sorry about the @, just felt this will enlighten my day

    Also, controller sensitivity is messed up too. Making the already stupid version of a 360 on ps4 more stupid. That being, swivel a short circle in front on the killer rather than around which takes advantage of the bad aim assist and low sensitivity. You'll go to swing and it will try to follow the survivor but miss completely and fall short. They're right in front of you.... and you still miss.

    This right here ######### me up so badly I hate it. reminds me of when I was still new and played on default sensitivity. I really wish this was fixed asap. Bad enough billy has phantom saws but I do not EVER want to have a phantom swing. My hits get caught by the air of all things. I'll be right on the survivor's back but nooooo I just gotta get screwed over because I play on ps4. sorry I just had to deal with that a lot this night to the point of running unrelenting.

    Edit: profanity filter did not censor an obvious curse word so I replaced with "back"

    You already can play multiple games where this perk doesn't really activate. I mean, yes you do get the extra escape attempts but how often do you really kobe?

    I feel this thread is really devolving into the "you must follow the arbitrary player rules" territory. Talking of "deserved hooks." Does that mean there are "undeserved hooks"? Just because a survivor is put in the dying state a hook is "deserved." Sounds a bit like the entitled attitude killers are always accusing survivors of having. Should we get rid of downed survivors being able to heal themselves because it's robbing a killer of their "deserved hook?"

    Yes, it is a deserved hook because you want the perk to literaly stop the hook action. I'll admit, I'm all for a solid rework but this just aint it.

  • @Lost_in_the_Fog said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/717352#Comment_717352

    Ok but who says a perk can't waste the killer's time. It seems like you might be basing upon the arbitrary rules the community feels players should follow. Also, not understanding your "Majority" part of your comment. Are you implying the killer will still not hook survivor a majority of the time. They'll still have 75% chance of successful hook. If they do drop survivor the perk can't be used again.

    The thing is that this idea is flawed on a gameplay perspective and a "fun" perspective. Being robbed out of a deserved hook because you got unlucky is not healthy for the game. Think of old ds, you down someone but since they had ds you ate a stun that you had zero control of. This is similar except not even the survivor has control over it.

    Also it isn't fun because as a survivor there could be multiple games where you don't even get to see it activate. Not too mention this perk idea has too much of a reward with zero risk.

  • Whats the difference? I already see 2-3 ds in a game lol. I get more surprised when i dont see a random obsession

  • I just get annoyed because i forgot they were recently hooked. Funnily enough, i get called a slugger for not wanting to eat em
