They're already giving away iridescent shards and the community challenges are gonna give a few outfits free as well. The crowns are completely optional and not even that hard to get (you don't need all the best perks to escape).
Now, I do understand the complaining about the bloodweb grind but complaining about how you have to actually play the game to get cosmetics is ridiculous.
-
A fun concept but it wouldn't really work out balance wise etc.
Even if it was single use and stunned for just a few seconds, it could be combined with other stun perks and at that point it'd be too overpowered.
Also I've seen how stupid it looks to have the 'survivors' beat the ######### out of Jason in F13 The Game.
-
Didn't Dead Space 2 have kid necromorphs and even exploding babies?
Victor's age shouldn't matter because he's become a monster who wants to kill/sacrifice you. On top of that, he always respawns when he's been roundhouse kicked in the face anyway.

Ah yes, a buff to DS and to non-DS. The change everyone has been asking for.
I believe it'd be an alright change. Argue all you want about how unbalanced DS is but getting tunneled just because there is no obsession is pretty stupid.
It would also help with the archive challenges that have something to do with the obsession. I've had a match or two as the killer with a "Hook the obsession x times" mission and there's been no obsession. Just because I didn't have any obsession perks available as the killer and the survivors didn't bring any either.
-
I believe it's already been suggested before but I think every match should have an obsession regardless of what perks everyone is using

its about what they consider funny my bro
I think it's pretty funny. This forum font though...

Calm Spirit is S-tier. You should get it before it's too late.
For real though, waiting one more day for the shrine isn't the end of the world.
-
I'd buy the game on Switch too if they added cross-play and cross-progression.
-
And Quentin 😭
-
I think DS is completely fine except during the endgame collapse where it's pretty much a free escape.
Some people have suggested that DS should be completely disabled when the exits are opened but that isn't really a good idea since that would just encourage camping and tunneling the hooked one.
So disabling it AFTER hooking someone during the endgame collapse might be a good idea. However, I'm pretty sure it could be abused somehow, so it isn't the most perfect solution either.
-
Gotta love how people were freaking out how they 'buffed' toolbox repairs and now suddenly they're useless lol
For real though, they are weaker overall but more useful and fun to use in certain situations. No more having a commodius toolbox with Streetwise and charge addons to make your repair speed stupidly fast for the entire match with no extra effort.
-
His terror radius is intentionally small (and so the music is quiet) because he's supposed to be a semi-stealthy killer.
-
I believe they were removed for a few different reasons:
1. They were very rarely used.
2. They were a waste of bloodpoints if you didn't use them.
3. Playing killers without perks (or with their level 1 teachables) didn't usually give good first impressions on them, making people probably less likely to buy those said killers.
4. Probably terribly coded and buggy.
5. Possible issues with licenced killers.
-
I mean, I see way more stuff in the bug fixes part than there usually is, probably thanks to the extra week.

Turns out they changed his grappling hook to just count as hooking a survivor to be sacrificed.
I don't know where you got this information but they actually just made it so that the survivor dies immediately when hit with the harpoon.
-
I think they should just give slightly more Iridescent Shards per Devotion level. You can't buy everything with them anyway so the devs wouldn't probably lose too much money out of it.

Yer like changing the speed off sabo to 2.5 seconds real great idea there i wonder which side that helps out more survivor or killer, they have bigger things to fix and change but they need to make it even more easy for survivors to sabo a hook and to be able to do it in front off the killers face while all the killer can do is stand there and go the devs don't favor one side at all this is fair for me somehow i'm sure off it.
I'm quite certain they will increase it so that it's not possible to sabo a hook during the time your attack is on cooldown after a successful hit. If that change is made, I don't really see any problem with the changes. Survivors need to sabo just in time at the right hook or else it won't work at all. Before survivors could 99% every hook and it took 0.1 seconds to sabo every hook at that point, which is definitely worse since you couldn't react to that almost at all.

Another one of these posts hand waving away the devs failures.
I'm not saying they never fail at things. It's the fact that people assume that every change can be done in a second and the devs only care about one side or the other, money etc. that really pisses me off.
There's almost no thread where you won't see a snarky comment how the devs are garbage and should borderline lose their jobs. Related to the issues or not.

Bro, the toolbox change is a buff. They do gens faster, and now that you don't lose items upon depletion, people will just not use boxes for the first part of the match when the killer has no pressure anyway, and do the latter gens even faster.
Ruin was a band aid fix for trash map design (because the map design in this game is completely terrible) and fast gen speeds. It didn't even entirely fix the problem but it helped. Other than it being highly debatable if it "wasn't healthy for the game", because the people who felt it the worst were bad survivors, it's a problem that the devs themselves are responsible for.
It definitely felt like a nerf to me during the PTB since every toolbox was gone in 3-4 seconds and you have a limited amount of toolboxes in a match. Besides, it's supposed to be a nerf so devs will probably tweak them more before the live patch if the numbers actually buffed them.
And now that Ruin is out of the way making stats all wonky, they can focus more on balancing other things. Buffing weak killers who were depending on that perk alone for example.

@[Deleted User] said:
To be fair, they brought such theory crafting onto them selves. That Ruin nerf dev update post they made a while back? Yeah. They couldn't have done worse if they tried.
"Survivor fun"
"Not fun for survivors"
"Survivors have problems with"
"So we're nerfing because so survivors can..."
"Frustrating for survivors"
"Was also a cause of frustration for survivors"
"With this change, survivors should now be able to..."
Meanwhile there's like, 30 killer bugs that I could probably name off the top of my head that still remain unfixed. Many of them for several months now. Some of them for years.
I don't believe BHVR is intentionally catering to one side (I hope not anyway), but even when they say they aren't, at the end of the day, actions speak louder than words, and their inaction to fix many, many of the killer's flaws and problems? Well, as the saying goes: "Silence is deafening".
I must agree that the dev update was badly worded but the patch itself wasn't really bad. Doctor feels better to play on both sides now and old Ruin was unhealthy for the game balance. Right now they're tweaking the toolboxes to compensate and if that isn't enough, they'll do more changes later.

These ideas and feelings don't just happen. They need to come from somewhere, and the devs are the ones who have caused it.
Nurse is riddled with bugs? meh.....
Decisive strike doesn't work against doctor? OMFG!!!!! we are soooo sorry, we will get right on that and fix it in under a week!
there are way more examples, but that is just the latest.
They knew exactly what was causing the Decisive bug so they got it fixed fast.
Not sure what you mean with Nurse being riddled with bugs when I haven't personally stumbled to any other than the terrain somehow blocking my blink once a century. That and whatever other bugs you mean, could be extremely hard to pinpoint and fix.
-
As a survivor, I tend to reach red ranks eventually, no matter what I do. I don't mind the queue times but I really feel like I don't belong there.
Ranking up is too easy, and every time I reach the red ranks, I start to have horrible matches with no chance of escaping. I almost always safety pip in these matches as well so I'll keep getting unenjoyable matches until the next rank reset. Then I'm back at the start of this loop.

People like you annoy me THREE times as much , if i could speak my words truthfully.
I don't think there was anything postponed by bhvr that came in god quality
Very mature.
The only times Bhvr has postponed something so far (afaik) is when they've had problems so obviously there's been nothing godlike yet. Now they'll get more time to do other things even if the actual new content is already ready to go.
Besides, nothing is probably gonna be god quality in your eyes if your attitude towards the devs and supporters is like that.
-
@Charger said:
People that swallow everything like " weell its probably for the best !!!! :D you woudnt wanna pway a bwuggy patch no?? OWO thank u devs for keeping our patch healthy and bug free !! " are so annoying.
People like you annoy me twice as much to be perfectly honest. Many have been asking for 'Project Health' for ages but since that's not really an option, this is a step to the right direction and people are allowed to be happy or at least optimistic about it.
-
A lot of people have suggested that the devs should stop making new content and only focus on fixing bugs for some time but unfortunately that's not really happening since the game needs new content to keep the player numbers up.
So I guess this is a good way to keep both sides somewhat happy. New content is still on the way but having an extra week to tweak things and fix bugs will probably make quite a difference.
-
I only have one problem with it really. The fact that you don't get more for reaching Devotion levels. In fact, you get less shards for some time when reaching one.
The increase wouldn't even need to be extreme. Just a little bonus for playing the game enough. I'm almost Devotion 5 (Level 500) and it feels like it doesn't matter at all.

No idea. It's also weird that the best perk that has an effect when downing survivors works for ANYTHING, even grabs ffs. Then you have a dumpster-fire of a perk like Surge that only works on M1 downs and it just baffles me that it has such a limitation and infectious doesn't.
It's even more odd when you think about how Surge is a perk for Demogorgon. He can't use his shred to apply his own perk...
-
I've seen so many people complain how bad the killer, the survivor, and even the map is.
If y'all want Deathslinger buffed, sure I guess. I'm having a blast playing as him and constantly getting 4Ks already so it'll probably be quite fun for me when it's live.
Both the killer's and survivor's perks are cool and go well with different builds.
They also look good imo. While maybe not that scary, Deathslinger makes it up with how sadistic he seems (One of the best Moris there is as well). A lot of people seem to think Zarina looks exactly like Yui etc. and I'm not even gonna bother to explain how ######### of a take that is if you can't see how much difference there actually is.
As for the map? I love it. Any map that doesn't use 90% existing assets gets a win in my book.

Ah, I should have been more specific
you can hit that once in a blue moon occasional 360 trick shot in the crack of boarded up window in the killer shack.
I bet you feel proud of yourself tbh
It's way easier to hit people from behind a window with Deathslinger since you can shoot almost immediately once coming from behind a wall with no warning sound and a small hitbox, while the Huntress needs to charge it for a while (with a warning sound) and the fat hitbox could collide with 'nothing' half the time.
-
You lost me at "killer shack is no longer high risk high reward"
-
@DeathsCrimsonMaiden said:
I fail to see how he is any way better than Huntress. ANY shot you could make with Deathslinger, you could make with Huntress. You'd be better off playing her, since survivors can still break free from you. If the Deathslinger's chain was unbreakable, he would still be worse, since he can't hit over pallets.
Here's my idea for making him a better killer.
- Increase deep wounds timer. I know every other survivor main that existed when Legion was released will probably be against this, but the deep wounds effect is one of the only things that makes him unique compared to Huntress.
- Make him able to pull survivors over pallets. Right now, survivors have no reason to not drop pallets early.
- His chain needs wayyy more time. There is no point in sniping survivors from long distance, since even if they aren't injured, they will break out anyways, and the Deathslinger will lose a bunch of distance, since he is stunned.
- Make his spear's hitbox a little bit bigger. I know it can be counted as a positive, since you would hit shots you wouldn't be able to as Huntress, but it should be more forgiving. It also makes attempting long range shots more worth it.
- He should move as %110 while reloading. This would make going for long range shots more appealing, but also, it's just a Qol change i'd like to see.
- Increase the projectile speed of the spear a little. If you haven't noticed, his biggest weakness compared to Huntress is he is not efficient long range. His spear moving faster would be another Qol improvement
With these changes, not only would he be more comparable to Huntress, and he would be able to move survivors out of position with his chain, which would make him a better trade off variant of him. I think these are all he needs to be great. He is a fun killer without a doubt, but he just seems like a weaker Huntress at the moment. I wanna see Deathslinger thrive like Oni :>
"ANY shot you could make with Deathslinger, you could make with Huntress."
"Make his spear's hitbox a little bit bigger. I know it can be counted as a positive, since you would hit shots you wouldn't be able to as Huntress, but it should be more forgiving."
???

I hate the Spirit with a burning passion. It's not even about losing against her. I just find everything about her annoying.
I'm so glad there's way less people playing her nowadays.

Ah yes 80 seconds of aura immunity and iron will is weak..interesting
I never said it's weak. But overpowered? Nah. You could get the same effect by equipping OoO, Iron Will and just looking at a different direction the moment you see the killer staring at your way.
-
@memento said:
Umm... It sounds completely over powered. Is there a counter other than hard tunneling for killers? This combo gives great advantage for 160 sec to OoO survivor with no risk.
It's only 80 seconds. It also shouldn't affect you much anyway unless you deliberately try to find and tunnel the OoO user. The unhooked gets some time to avoid the killer and to get healed.
-
Demogorgon is fun if not a bit weak-ish.
Haven't played Oni myself. For for some reason very few play him even though I've seen him destroy survivor teams like eggs.
As for Deathslinger, he's very fun to play as. Not sure about how good he is though. I won against a few, lost against a few and I myself won as him a few times.
-
It would be so easy to do as well. Just cut the existing model in half lmao
-
Why not make such a small effect work when injured, when bleeding and grunts of pain already exist? Sure, running Lucky Break/No Mither and Iron Will with it would probably become quite good but at that point you're already using 3 perk slots. 4 if you also use Sprint Burst (The most common thing to go with Fixated).
-
I have like thousands of add-ons in my inventory so I couldn't really care less about the change. It'll probably make people who use the most powerful addons think twice before bringing them since you need to make good use of them.
Also, killers don't get to keep their add-ons either (without the offering). Win or not.
-
Even though Legion has difficulties ending chases, their ability to pressure gens is very good. It's pretty much an automatic win if one survivor dies because you can keep everyone injured and off the gens.
I mean, I'd love to get some changes or buffs to make playing as Legion a bit more fun but from balance perspective, I think they're in a fine spot.
-
Probably around 8 hours when the Archives were released. I had time and I really wanted that last reward in the Rift lol
-
Meta perks are just boring and I know how annoying they're to play against.
If I'm not after some specific challenge I just use perk roulette. It's fun to get a random set of perks and adapting your playstyle to make the best use of them.
-
Well I don't know about others but personally I do it like this:
Someone nearby is coming to unhook me, I stay still if it's safe, do the motion if not (either the killer or traps are nearby).
I also do the arm motion if everyone seems to be doing gens far away to signal that someone should come get me.
Surprisingly, I think it has worked most of the time.

Totally agree, and I'm actually having fun and getting good laughs from the post game salt when Survivors aren't having any fun based on what I'm doing. Thank the devs, don't blame me for the awful game experience you waited an hour for.
While I do agree that the matchmaking is wack and there are several balance issues at the moment, hard camping pretty much just to ruin other peoples' games, sucks.
-
I don't think Rancor is a problem at all. It's the only perk besides Devour Hope that allows you to Mori someone. Not to mention it's only the obsession and they know the killer's position every time a gen pops.
I think the devs should make more perks that allow you to Mori (with reasonable conditions of course) and remove the Mori offerings since most people agree that they're quite overpowered.
