Dunno about everyone else but the game looks better than before because of the improved lighting and I can still see well.
Wasn't there a thread where people wanted the game to be darker again just a while ago?
-
I hope that at least one of the reasons for the delay is that they're tweaking some of the hardest missions and maybe the xp progressing
-
I don't really care that much about escaping or pip-ing as long as the match itself went fine enough. So e.g. as survivor successfully escaping chases, saving a lot of other survivors etc.

2 free protection hits mmmm yummy
Would be good if the perk detected them even half the time

The only thing I don't like about it are the character specific goals, especially for survivor when it doesn't play any different. I've never put a single Bloodpoint into jake so I'd be going in on a suicide mission for unhooks just because this thing told me to.
I personally like them. Gives me a reason to play other characters.
-
A lot of people here don't realize that you can just play normally, completing quests and only pay when you reach the tier level that has stuff you want.
-
I was originally pretty sceptical about the idea of 'battle pass' but after getting on the PTB and seeing how much cool cosmetics it has and how you can get the auric cells you spent back, I really like how it's implemented.
-
I recommend everyone to check out this thread as it explains things way better than I was able to with my broken English:
-
P3 Quentin because it covers his face
-
Some of the hairs look horrible even on max graphics. E.g. Quentin looks like his hair is from another dimension.
-
I'm pretty sure they gave up on the idea since it punished those who didn't (want to) use self-care.
-
Most people buy characters for their looks so he is definitely worth the price for some. However, I do think his perks need some love.
Your changes to Flip-Flop and Buckle Up seem decent. MoM would probably be fine if the protection hits were fixed.
-
I've had several games now where my ping was ok in the lobby but in-game I have huge lag spikes. Like teleporting back half the map huge. Sometimes it happens while in a chase and the next thing I know is that I'm on the hook.
My internet doesn't have any problems with other games. I haven't experienced this kind of lag in DbD before either.

Just to reiterate what others have said, this is a bug on console only and does not exist on PC. If a console killer DCs (in a very specific way that the forum rules would not allow me to say), you lose all your accumulated points and do not get 5000 escape points. If you see a points accumulation at all, it will be the points you obtained from the games before the one that had the DC, but the points will NOT be added to your total. You also lose all your crap.
This is largely anticipated to be fixed with dedicated servers.
That's not true. Right now you get 0 points when killer DCs on PC as well. No clue how it's done but it can happen.
-
The mobile port is in private beta for a reason. The port has some problems and they're tweaking and fixing them.
This is also the reason why finding a match takes so long. There simply isn't much players currently since only some people got access to it.
-
Yeah, the game's supposed to give the survivors the bloodpoints they earned if the killer disconnects, but for some reason that's not the case currently.
I've had a few games (on PC) where me and the three other survivors pretty much stomp the killer (because the matchmaking is currently pretty messed up as well) and then the killer rage quits and none of us get anything.
-
The matchmaking has been pretty messed up recently. Not only are the rank differences significant but I'm also being put into games with people from America for example. And I'm from Northern Europe.
-
Was in a game a few days ago against a Trapper.
The game had lasted for around 15 minutes, all survivors were alive and about to escape. I was just running to the hatch with a key. Before I managed to do that, The Trapper disconnects and I lose all of the 18k points I earned and probably a pip as well.
Got to say I was pretty pissed when getting bloodpoints is already hard enough.

I love whenever a post like this is made, most replies are straight up just "No. It'll just make meta characters"
Like seeing 3-4 Claudettes almost every lobby isn't a thing already.
-
If they'd make it a separate perk, it should have some other effect in addition to the locker auras.
For example, maybe something like not making any noise. Like Iron Will but only in lockers.

Wait, you want to play a game where the sound is the most important thing, without any sound at all? Or do you mean remove music in game like chase music and injured music?
I mean specifically the music and sounds you can hear in the main menu, lobbies etc.
I don't have a problem with the in-game ones
-
I want the devs to tone down the noises he makes when injured. I can't play him without Iron Will lol
The voice lines are fine even though a little weird considering no other survivor talks.

I love this idea. You wouldn’t be able to run any super broken builds on every character but you would still have more than four perk slots. It would also make Survivors more than just skins, but we’d be seeing a lot more Davids, Bills, Laurie, Megs, and maybe Claudettes.
I see this as an improvement from the current 3-4 Claudettes every lobby
Besides, almost every character has at least one good perk on them.
-
Man, I don't even care if he doesn't look like the original actor but could they at least make him look a little bit younger?
The in-game model makes him look like a over 30-year-old drug addict.
I mean, it makes sense he looks tired because of the lore and I do love the concept of it. But he has more wrinkles than my grandma.
-
Most people buy the DLCs for the characters themselves anyway, not the perks/power alone
-
Y'all pissed about the idea that there will be two survivors, have you considered that it's not impossible for them to add two survivors AND a killer?
And for the whole "there's more survivor characters than killer characters already" argument: You know it's a 1v4 game right?
-
I'd say they'd either have to do two survivors AND a killer or make the survivors some Ash level quality, licenced and with original voice actors and looks.
-
I mainly play Quentin since I really like his clothes. I wish the devs would tweak the perks a little though.
And his face..
-
Not sure about the change but it really does suck that any stealth killer/perk can negate Borrowed Time completely
-
I'd love to see more communication emotes but please, never add any dance emotes. They'll just increase toxicity and don't fit DbD's mood/feel at all.
-
The PTB isn't even here yet ffs. If he is actually going to be as bad as people are saying here, he's gonna get tweaks and changes.
Regardless of how he's going to be in the end, I personally don't like playing as nor against him.
-
Hiding pretty much the whole UI (except the important things like skill checks and actions you can do) would be pretty interesting.
Your items could run out at any second but you wouldn't know that. You would also have to listen to the generators rather than rely on the progress bars.
The only problem with this would probably be the status effects with SWF groups. The other players could notify the blinded player how there's a NOED or Devour Hope active. They can also tell a person who's blinded and going to get unhooked that the rescuer has Borrowed Time or something.
-
I personally don't find Legion as weak as people say them to be. They definitely aren't top tier but "Freddy tier killer"? Nah. (Even Freddy ain't that bad)
I usually run Monitor & Abuse and Stridor as Legion since those perks are very useful for their playstyle.
The way I play them, I stab the first person I see with the power, if I see anyone else after that, I go after them. If not, I stab the first person again.
No matter how the first step went, I kinda "let them go" so that their timer goes a bit lower, and then try to track the Deep Wounded survivor(s) without the power. Stridor makes this quite easy (unless the survivor(s) are running Iron Will), and Monitor and Abuse makes it easier to actually surprise and hit them when you do locate them.
If a Deep Wounded survivor starts to loop me or something, then I just simply use the power and hit them again. At this point, the timer should be so low that any hit, with or without the power should down them.
If you apply pressure with the deep wound properly, you won't get gen rushed either.
-
Also I put the same rewards for both rank 1 and 2 because of how easy it is to drop from rank 1.
-
Also posted this on General Discussions accidentally. Ffffffffff...

Pharmacy is the best perk in Dead by Daylight. If anyone says otherwise they are deceiving you.Pharmacy's a good perk I agree, but in my opinion, it's not the best. You see, you need to find a chest in order to get the medkit, and when you do get it, you can only heal yourself once with it unless you have Botany Knowledge and Streetwise or something. Of course, you can heal others faster with it too but you can't use it on yourself afterwards because you've spent half of the charges then.
But on the other hand, with the other perks I use, I rarely even need to get healed so Pharmacy goes well with those.
-
I personally use these most of the time:
Dead Hard
Resilience
Iron Will
Borrowed Time (and sometimes I switch this to Deliverance, Vigil or Urban Evasion) -
Too many campers/tunnelers/pallet loopers/teabaggers/lagswitchers and Claudettes.
Overall I'd say 10/10 IGN -
Pretty good job so far
