Oni, Myers and Demogorgon are my personal favorites. I'd probably like more of them if the gore wasn't so limited (e.g. Bubba cutting someone in half but not actually)

I actually wonder how maps are chosen.
Does it just roll for a specific map, or does it go Realm -> Specific Map? Doing the latter might be more fair for 1-map realms, even if they might make the maps "overrepresented" in its own way ๐
It's most likely taking all maps into consideration since I see maps like The Game and Hawkins so much less than the stupid cornfields.
-
I really wish there was an equal chance (without map offerings) to get each realm instead of every individual map.
-
Y'all... It would be extremely boring if we only got lore and challenges for the few characters that are completely free. Not to mention you can get all these challenge dlc characters for free as well. Just need to collect enough shards.Edit: nvm didn't read the op properly at first. Ignore this
-
Rat Susie, best Susie. As for the build:
- Discordance (To pressure gens and hit multiple people)
- Thanathophobia (Since it's so easy to injure multiple people with your power)
- Monitor & Abuse (Less time for survivors to react/run away)
- BBQ & Chili (Mainly for those juicy bloodpoints)
-
At first, seemingly almost everyone stopped using it. However, in the last few days, I've started to see more killers picking it up again. It seems to be very effective if used right and the totem isn't found in 0.1 seconds.
-
On top of the map/balance changes others have already mentioned here, I'd like to see improved graphics (without making the performance terrible obviously).
Update older models and textures, improve lighting, give better/more animations and whatnot.
Also Quentin face rework soon pls, I need it
-
I mean, Dead Hard has been wonky ever since the dedicated servers came out. All actions make the survivors' hitbox the size of the map (killer can hit a survivor who vaulted like a year ago). Killers can sometimes grab a survivor even though an animation has ended already. Sole Survivor doesn't work at all...
I very rarely stumble upon bugs as a killer and if there ever is any, they aren't usually gamebreaking.
The balance is one of the biggest problems in the game right now. Not bugs. You can't just treat bug fixes like your usual balance changes. The devs fix them depending on how easy/urgent they are to fix. They aren't thinking like "Oh killers haven't received a nerf in a while, better fix all survivor bugs ASAP!"

Yesterday I played like 5 games as Demogorgon (as rank 7) and every time I was matched against four red ranks. In 4 of those games, gens popped pretty much the same speed as in the Otz's video because of toolboxes. Since I wasn't playing a high tier killer and I avoid camping and tunneling, I only managed to get one kill in total. There was almost no time to pressure the gens.
I'd say the base generator repair speed is fine but jeez, the toolboxes make it so much worse.

How did I even know someone would suggest this? They're way too cartoony dude and don't belong in the environment. Not to mention, anything in this game is the opposite of unsettling. Also they remind me too much of the f word which alone is unsettling and enough for me to blacklist any game I play.
The original 4 animatronics are pretty cartoony looking yeah, but there's so much more characters in the series than just them. Also, if you don't solely focus on the jumpscares, the games do a pretty good job at making an unsettling atmosphere.
Do I even dare to ask what the f word is meant to be here..?

Calling you entitled because you think it's the killers job to make sure you have fun - which it's not.
Makes sense for the lore of the game this would grant you points, other than that - nothing else matters. Not the killers job to pander to you.
The killer's objective is to prevent survivors from doing theirs. Letting a survivor open an exit just to kill them immediately after not only is a dick move, but also hurts the killer's own objective since you get a big bonus to the Gatekeeper emblem by preventing the gates from being opened.
I'm not saying the killers should ensure that the survivors have fun but deliberately ruining it is also not good at all.

You realize the survivor can double pip and die right? You realize that the killer is giving you points to your objective by letting you open the gate right? You realize that is at the cost of iri gatekeeper emblem right? You realize that it's not the killer's job to ensure you have a fun game right?
See this is the exact entitled survivor mentality ruining this game in the long run.
Well looking at your original post, you just do it to give false hope to the survivor. Not to give them points or emblems.
Also calling me 'entitled' for not wanting to increase toxic gameplay, ok.
-
It's pretty much the same as bringing the survivor to the hatch just to close it in front of them. Not necessary at all, just a dick move.
-
We have enough toxicity in this community. There's no need to encourage it more.
-
On top of the change you mentioned, I think the unhooked survivor should also see the killer's aura so they know exactly where they should run (or if they should run at all) instead of trying to run the opposite way where the Babysitter is going.
-
Killer: BBQ&Chili. It's way too good for high mobility killers like Hillbilly. Most of the time survivors don't hide so the killer will sometimes kill all the survivors in less than 3 minutes. Just throw the bonus bloodpoints to some other perk(s).
Survivor: Self-Care. As a killer, it feels like injuring people isn't worth almost anything. As the perk runner, it feels painfully slow to heal. And as a teammate, it sucks to die on hook because the perk runner is healing theirself in the corner of the map.
-
I feel like the devs should definitely take a look at her and tweak something so that she'd be more fun to play as while still keeping her strength at a reasonable level.
Nowadays I only play her with the add-on which makes her movement speed 4.2 m/s and removes one blink. That way I don't have to monitor the power bar.
-
The survey mostly asked about the Cursed Legacy chapter and the general feel of the game, not the mid-chapter update.

...what?

"You're not supposed to keep the first 2 gens up long." Excuse me? then why the ######### is there an emblem for keeping gens from being done? and the only possible way to get iridecent in it is if no gens are done? Your logic doesn't make sense at all.
The emblem got changed in the same patch as ruin did. You don't necessarily have to have 5 gens undone to get iridescent anymore.

He's not holding the game hostage, he's holding 1 blind potato survivor hostage and they'll die after gates are opened. The other 3 survivors are entitled because they want every survivor to get out and the killer gets nothing.
This is possibly one of the worst takes I've read on this forum. Killer literally making you unable to play the game makes you a blind potato and the other survivors entitled.

Looks more like dedicated server problems than hacking.

Also Ruin is base everywhere but pc.
Oh man, completely forgot the consoles have some of the DLC pre-installed too.

Than i repeat, play for a wile with only the free perks, not the dlc ones, than tell us onestly how it feel.
Most of the 'best' perks in the game are for the free characters:
Survivors have Prove Thyself, Self-Care, Adrenaline, Sprint Burst, Quick & Quiet, Iron Will, Urban Evasion, Balanced Landing, Dead Hard, Unbreakable, Borrowed Time and We'll Make It.
Killers have Brutal Strength, Enduring, Lightborn, A Nurse's Calling, Thanathophobia, Stridor, Sloppy Butcher, Bitter Murmur and NOED.

Want ruin? 7โฌ for hag, want bbq? 5โฌ leatherface, want surveliance? 7โฌ for pig.
Oh, ruin is nerf3d, better use sonething 3lse, 5-7โฌ for a killer who has that perk you need... is quite easy to spend more m9ney to get the perks tou want than the game cost itself.
And yes, you dont need them, please from now.on play both Survivor and killer with only base perks, no dlc perks, is jot going to be fun i assure you. :)
If you buy DLCs just for the perks alone, you're dumb. Like how a lot of people complained how the Ash DLC was a scam when they nerfed Mettle of Man, I simply don't get that mindset.
I buy the characters for the characters alone. Not to get the most meta perks in the game.

I feel like nobody uses OoO the same way I do, even though I think that's probably how it was intended to be used.
Unlike most OoO users who look at the killer's direction 24/7, I only take small glimpses at a time. I look at the opposite direction or the ground most of the time and only occasionally check where the killer is. If the killer sees me during one of those peeks, I then avoid looking at them and move away from the spot they saw me in. This works most of the time.
So TL;DR instead of using OoO to get the killer's attention, I use it as a stealth tool. Also I play solo and I agree it's pretty BS in SWF.
-
It used to be fun. Nowadays (most of the time) it's just a huge ball of negativity not worth spending my time on.
-
Except that it's not dead (yet) because the movement changes on the PTB aren't going live.
-
Christ. I feel like the changes to Spirit and Nurse were needed but now Freddy?
There's a bunch of different ways to wake up. If you fall asleep during a chase because of getting hit or the timer, it's mostly your fault.
Not to mention, even if you are asleep, Dream Snares are quite visible so you can easily avoid them. Even if you touch them, they don't do much at all. Dream pallets can be countered by memorizing the real ones, pulling them early and/or not relying on pallets at all.
-
I need more Leon in my life
-
Well on the other hand there's also the 'No men' who think every single change is bad and the devs don't care etc.
The ones who post another "This change is horrible" thread before the change is even out for testing.
-
I play them all quite a lot. Wish some of their perks got buffs though. Some ideas I've been thinking of:
Fixated should also work when injured. Don't really see why not since you still bleed.
Second Wind's healing requirement could be changed from 100% to 50% since a lot of people mess it up by using self-care for one nanosecond. Also co-op healing shouldn't affect the progressing.
Babysitter could maybe show the killer aura for the unhooked as well.
Camaraderie should work in both hook phases. Maybe reduce the timer pause to compensate.
Surge should activate when downing a survivor, any way possible, not just with basic attacks.
Mindbreaker would probably work better if it worked on a generator with more than 50% progress instead of less than 50%.
And finally, Cruel Limits' range and/or time could be increased.
-
Yeah just delete Trapper. It's not like he's in the game's cover and box arts or anything lol
/s
-
Dead Hard is already in a pretty bad spot due to wonkiness with the dedicated servers, but even when it works fine, I don't have a problem playing against it. Most of the time you can just walk right next to them and make the perk completely useless.
-
I'm quite sure they'll lessen the cooldown during/after the ptb if it really is as bad as it sounds. Everything else about the doctor update looks alright.

What about the spirit super lunge ๐๐
Both Spirit and Wraith's super lunge will be back according to the upcoming ptb patch notes

I would also prefer some lighter chapters or some more time between them
Didn't they say somewhere that it takes 4-5 months to design a killer? Yet they release a new one every 3 months
Probably because they're designing more than one killer at the same time.
-
Weird. I see like 90% less complaining and whining from both sides there compared to this forum.

This is why killers are so sick of DS.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dpc6dcrH1NE&feature=emb_logo
If you honestly think that's fine, well, you have the patience of an absolute saint, I guess.
Not only you could've hit the Steve normally here instead of grabbing him as you most likely knew he's been unhooked a while ago, but also not hit nothing afterwards. Without missing an attack, you could've downed either of them instantly.
Not to mention something like this rarely happens.
-
Daily reminder that DS is fine. I can't remember the last time I got hit by DS because I simply don't tunnel the unhooked.
I only down them if they run straight into me or I can't find the unhooker. What do I do then? I just slug them. Now there's a few things that could happen:
1. Nobody helps them. DS runs out, I get another hook.
2. Somebody helps them when I'm not present. The helper spends precious time running and healing. Two survivors not doing gens.
3. Somebody helps them when I'm present. I get to go after the helper, the previously unhooked either still down/running/healing. Two survivors not doing gens and I most likely get another hook.
-
Intended or not, it's not really that noticeable. Only exception being the animation when you get hooked.
Also not really related but I believe they fixed her nose a bit after the PTB.
-
I personally like playing her and like the new addons.
If anything, I'd want the whole fatigue animation and vision loss effect removed so you could at least see the survivors properly. That'd be a huge help since you have to be more precise with your blinks nowadays.
-
It's always kind of weird for me to read complaints about the dedicated servers when 95% of the time I personally don't experience any problems with them.
Apart from a very few matches where Dead Hard, Huntress' hatchets or hitboxes have been weird, the dedicated servers have been a godsend for me. I always had lag spikes and whatnot with the p2p system, not to mention the occasional lag switching killers.
-
I really wouldn't mind paying again for every new rift pass if it meant we got easier and more manageable challenges
-
If I had to pick one character from the FNAF franchise that'd fit Dead by Daylight, it'd probably be Springtrap. I'm not sure what their power could be though.
-
I'm pretty sure he'll be getting some cosmetics alongside the face rework if it ever happens.
-
I think the changes are a step to the right direction. The devs will most likely monitor how she performs in the future and make further changes if needed.
I personally love that the collission during phasing is gone since it was basically a free hit whenever it happened
-

Clearly, you haven't visited a lot of forums.
I visit the forums almost daily. I'm not saying complaining didn't outright exist a year ago but there definitely was way less of it. Right now the front page is nothing BUT complaining. Criticism is fine of course, but speaking of things in a negative manner is different.
Edit: Might've misunderstood the sentence but my point still stands. I used to visit the forums of League of Legends a lot and even that wasn't in such a bad state as this forum.
