  • I am too if you need someone to test it with. Last time I checked was a few weeks ago with a friend when she complained her tokens were taken away for no apparent reason.

    You're misremembering.

Your actual words are visible in both of our post histories as I've quoted that particular statement.

You also stated, earlier today, that pallets respawn after a set period of time :-/

I just have a hard time believing that someone that consistently states such misinformation can progress into the upper echelons of the game.

I am currently Rank 16 on Survivor, so that may be bronze!

So when ppl say that "the dumb guy is breaking all the pallets" they mean the guy doing this end game (at around 7/10mins of a usual 10/15mins match)".

Okay look Google would've told you right away that they respawn after 3 minutes. Similar to hooks.

Did you believe you could break every hooks and pallets on the entire map ? Are you serious ?

What I find hard to believe is someone with around 1.5 k likes and who's a "yellow(tf is this btw)" rank saying he can break everything on the map.

Stop gas lighting. That's not true and you know it.

All 4 survivors are NEVER at equal skill against ALL killers.

You Killah Mainz really present yourselves as very bad players.

We're probably opposed but...I really like your name. Good thinking xD

  • And you are ? You haven't even been here long enough to know anyone hahahaha xD

  • @Raccoon said:

Was that during the exchange where you learned that there are always exactly 5 totems on the map, or the one where you were providing killers with your tips for gen pressure and chases?

Btw, I'm actually a yellow rank, as everyone knows.

You mean the one where I was saying you could only at best activate your healing perk 5 times ? Yes I think so.

If by that you mean bronze. Yeah I can believe that.

Pfff hahahahaha xD you guys are fun! I hope you cleansed a totem bc pretty sure you just got injured! XD go hide in a locker now.

A red insta heal can not get compared to a ebony mori, a ebony mori skips entire hooks on survivors, the closest equivalent to a ebony mori survivors have is 4 syringes, all only used on downed people, which even then does not equal a ebony, which as I said is a offering and doesn’t take up a add on

also another reason you can’t use insta heal as a point is the fact is it’s literally getting changed, and just because one side has something broken/op doesn’t justify something broken/op on the other side. It just means both sides has things that needs to get changed

    16 health states.

Which mean even with a red Mori I could spend half the game TRYING to get someone hooked.

  • We talked a few weeks back and through our exchange you implied you were a green rank. So I started calling you "Greeny".

Those trump statements are basically only able to work against tier one myers lol.

Just giving another example of "don't believe everything you hear". Test it yourself.

  • I am and I specified I wasn't playing my main Greeny (you thought I forgot admit it)

@TheUnendingNightmare The best option is to leave the loop. As survivor, I love the big loops and I dont see any reason they should be changed. They are a powerful position to be at and im sure you had many opportunities to catch survivors out of the loop.

Yes but only whilst they were running over there. That's the only reason I got two kills.

The Claudette tried to loop outside and failed. The other guy got stuck on a rock trying to reach the house.

If they were all running there and even sent me a msg to tell me why, to me it seems it IS op.

Again just like other loops through the past years. This needs to be nerfed to a certain degree.

Distortion shouldn't even do anything with spies. It only works on auras. Not notification bubbles. Spies is a bubble.

I know but just like sensory perks saying "trumps all killers stealth abilities" the cake is a lie.

Edit: could also be that the devs didn't think about removing the protection from the notifications the crows send idk.

Had no Idea that was a thing. They should think about putting that back in as now it takes much longer to wake survivors up with the Freddy rework

    Yeah I definetly agree.

I believe it was taken away bc it was too much of a counter since you couldn't put everyone to sleep. Now it could potentially work well since it's a periodic thing.

  • @yandere777 said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/770564#Comment_770564

Spies. Really darn useless if the survivor urban evades everywhere. Bbq, doesn't work half the time. It only tells you if they are far away. And that barely works now because of lockers and hiding behind gen auras. Whispers is decent and works wonders here but it does not stop the survivor from escaping through the hatch.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/770565#Comment_770565

Fair point, i honestly forgot about the gens lol. But either way i should not have to bring a perk so i can avoid being held hostage.

    Okay not again...

Spies from the shadows doesn't work like that. If you don't believe me try this; make a custom game with a friend and use this perk with distortion. When the killer is nearby you'll see the token slowly being taken away. Which imo indicate the crows give your location when still not when being disturbed.

  • Better yet, anyone remembers wake up being able to awake survivors quicker ? It was removed almost immediatly but I thought this was a nice perk specifically designed to counter Freddy.

  • @Exerlin said:

I keep hearing stuff about Spirit's shards glowing or glittering, but when I tried observing her in a KYF match, I couldn't spot a single difference. I'd really like to see a video of this is someone has it, or at least some screenshots.

I think only the sound tells you.

You can also expect her to be using her Power when you see her stop moving but she could also be baiting you.

  • If anything it should activate for the Killer when the obsession leaves his terror radius. As oppose to the survivors, it should activate when they enter the killer terror radius.

Yay i gotta run 3 perks so i wont get held hostage. Sounds balanced to me. And what stops the killer from holding the survivor hostage? All they gotta do is stand on the hatch. What can thr survuvor do in this situation?

I've repaires the last gen or gens countless times it wasn't that hard. Same gen rush strat.

An unclosable hatch will never return. It will just cause more games being held hostage. The hatch is just a way to end the game. One person left? Spawn a hatch to force them to roam and hope you find them or the hatch. you found the hatch? Close it and now that survivor will die if they dont move in 2 minutes

OMG guys stop you all sound so dumb when saying that!

Like this literally can't happen if you have ANY skills in the game. Even if you don't. Just run Whispers, spies from the shadows, BBQ and chilli, etc.

  • @yobuddd said:

A simpler solution might be “the hatch doesn’t open unless the remaining survivor has completed the equivalent of one generator.”

Help your buddies out while they’re alive and you’re fine.

Hide all game, now you’re on your own while killer patrols gens or looks for the soon-to-open hatch. Whoops!

It should be like it always had been.

You fix 2 gens and then the hatch spawn which the killer can't close.

Ppl saying "survivors will just hide" so what ? Get better at tracking and put better perks for that purpose.

Ppl saying "killer will patrol the gens and that's just impossible to repair them!" No. I've done it countless times before. Fixing 1 or 2 gens wasn't that hard you just have to use the gen rush strat.

  • It's sarcasm.

Bc he said "Lame" and the lamest survivor since the sabotage rework is Jake imo. Even Ace feels better. XD

  • Still there's some missing data, example;

Do you see that weirdly at about rank 10 on PS4 there's a suddent drop in the survival rate ? And then at the end it unexplicably goes near the top just under pc. Why ?

Or xbox seems to clearly survive more except at near rank 1-4. Again why ?

Not mentionning pc bc the mouse make it insanely easy to turn around and they clearly made the skillchecks much larger to compensate for the kb.

  • @Peanits said:

Not really, no. Letting someone die just because of Dying Light is counterproductive. That extra person would far outweigh the action speed penalty.

Then go tell the ppl! I've definetly seen it happen a lot lately.

  • @Dwight_Fairfield said:

    Terrible idea.

A survivor could do diddly squat all game and walk out the exit gate thanks to the work of their team mates. Just like a survivor could do all or most of the hook saves, cleanse the ruin, loop the killer etc but their team mates were useless and did no gens in that time, so why shouldn't this hard working player keep their item if they got the hatch.

Bc now I could just hide in the basement the whole game and do the exact same ?

  • @Tzeentchling9 said:

If it gets late enough into the game and you have enough stacks, yeah probably.

I've had to be careful about SWF obsession suiciding when they've 3 genned themselves and I've got a good number of stacks.

It's just I noticed I had it on and freaked out thinking of the old version. Imagine my surprise the 3 times the killer found anx ignored me.

I was wondering why and then started to notice 2 of my teammates who kept trying to lead the killer to me.

I finally understood why, when I read the new effects.

  • @Objectively_speaking said:

No, it's meant to end the game.

Yes bc you weren't able to either repair gens or open the gates. So idk why you keep your stuff since to me it means you couldn't survive.

I feel you, I wish I got more survivor dailies too. Or that the ones I got wore worth at least 30k...

The Doc is one of the weakest killer tho...

I'd like to see the amount of wins Hillbilly has.

  • @premiumRICE said:

Btw you are not supposed to commit every time, just hit once and if he runs to the loop change survivor.

Moreover if you are against a good swf you have to play meta killers to 4k, and that works for every game.

I did specified I did it twice but they would all start running towards the house and try to loop there.

The two I got was bc one Claudette was terrible at loops and the other got stuck in some textures whilst looping.

  • @Sn0wJob said:

I mean sure, but then every time you would try to chase others there is the potential they give away where you are and everyone just runs to the nearest window/pallet loop or stays on the generator because they have no fear since they know they arent being chased.

Well I usually run the Hag to prevent looping and pallets since it is hyper toxic atm.

  • @premiumRICE said:

probably you dont know the correct way to run that loop as killer

I can do it fine with the Hag but I'd love to see you try against the same SWF group. Even the dude messaged me saying "that's why ppl want this loop nerfed", I'll give him that, he wasn't a total #########.

To be fair that has nothing to do with "toxicity", or shouldn't anyway.

Using strong stuff be it perks, items, addons, strategies and so on isn't toxic, but being an unpleasant jerk is pretty "toxic". If it's in the game and working as intended it's fair game, but there's never any reason to be a rage goblin in post game chat or anything like that.

So it isn't fair to say those survivor perks are toxic but the perks related to killers that buff certain strategy are toxic ?

Your sentence made my IQ drop a little.

Also, please refrain from using kindergarden insults like "rage goblin" when first I'm not even mad and two at least go for something better we're all adults no ? ;)

  • @Mtom912 said:

Survivors dc because of how game changing it is, and how it’s typically not going to be a fun game, and tbh they’re right to think of it like that, a ebony takes out a third or more of the work a killer should do, and they sacrifice nothing game wise, as it’s a offering with no negative effects, and don’t need to use a add on slot. Also it being red has no excuse for it being that game changing, as I said there’s no negative effect like the majority of the strong red add ons, which even then those add ons are still considered by many people broken/op, and it doesn’t take up a add on slot and its a offering

    Yeah right!

Like the fact you lose a brown health pack for 3 free health states with a red insta-heal add on, makes up for the 16 possible health states to go through for a single game.

  • Based on my matches has Freddy, yes.

Also, it can lead the survivor to think ruin is still around. Which is always fun.

  • @Sn0wJob said:

When is the object of obsession rework coming, a very unfun perk that is abuse able in voice communications to give out constant positioning information and has zero counterplay except "tunnel this person to death"

It's not fun for me as the killer, every time I see this perk I just get very very annoyed.

I usually leave that person for last since they tend to look towards the killer when the last person go down. Revealing their location.

  • @Lambda said:

Read title. I want to know what are some survivor sided maps and why and ,if possible, any tips to deal with those maps when playing as killer.

Idk the name of the map but the one with the gen second floor of an abandonned white house/building.

On the ground floor, this house has 2 windows accross from each others and are separated by obstacles plus the entrance. On the top Floor there's another window opposite of the generator which can easily be used for balanced landing.

Note: There's no real counter unless you have a killer that can teleport.

  • @wimlin said:

Honest question. Survivor perks seem to get nerfed all the time in this game in the name "balance" but killer perks never get nerfed no matter how powerful they are. MoM was not that big of a deal and I rarely ran it, but now its just another of the many completely useless perks. The DS nerf was even bigger, but at least that is sort of anti-tunnel now I guess? Seriously though it does seem like the killer community is much more vocal in this game and they seem to always get their way. It is no wonder the queue time suck so bad and why I rarely play killer even though its easy mode at least at mid to high ranks. The only challenge is waiting for a game.

I've played off and on for a while and I can't understand why the game still isn't balanced at all. The main issue I'm talking about is playing SWF vs. running solo. SWF games(when my friends do play) I can sport an 80-90% win/escape ratio, but solo its 15-20% maybe and honestly if I don't survive usually no one in the game survives. I would estimate a full 80% of non SWF games end with the killer getting 4 kills. Everyone always talks about camping like JUST DO GENS AND WIN EZ. But is it for a non SWF game? Sure in SWF a camper will pretty much always just get 1 kill, but in solo games camping is pretty much an automatic win for killer because by the time other survivors know a camp is occurring its really too late to get on gens and win the game. I propose to combat this situation the Devs either make voice chat available for survivors to even the playing field for non SWF or make it only in non SWF games so that the sacrificial timer either dramatically slows or altogether stops when a killer is within X meters of the hook. Maybe even make it a perk so we lose a perk slot for it, but something anti camp besides just kindred which has a short range we can run.

Camping is totally fine in SWF, because you can counter it, but in NON SWF it is game breaking and something should be done to make it a losing strategy in both instances not just SWF. I know I'm about to get flamed by the toxic killer community here(most toxic community I've seen in 20 years of online gaming anywhere), but every survivor main know camping is the biggest issue in this game for non SWF players. The DEVs should do something to discourage it. I'm not saying against the rules, but just make it so it isn't such a great winning strategy vs non SWF. There has to be something you can do to balance it out and make the game fun to play even when a killer decides to camp. I know it isn't the killers job to make the game fun, but it IS THE job of the devs if they want people to keep playing. I'm not saying that survivors should escape every game or even 70% of the time, but there should be balance between SWF and non SWF.

Wait wait wait...the *killers* are toxic ?

Survivors have; insta-heal, BT, DS, DH, Lithe, SB, MoM, Spinechill and even an aura reading perk for finding the hatch! You guys have insane unbreakable loops, pallets respawning every 30s/60s, etc.

Who's toxic again ? Clearly you have not been a red rank killer who isn't Hillbilly.

  • @grtf47 said:

@TheUnendingNightmare actually the loops are just fine especially against a killer that can teleport, place snares that really slow the survivors running speed, and yea need I say more? Two kills isn’t bad at all.

I did specify that the survivor (David) was able to go through two of my traps and still vault the window. That loop is just ridiculously long.

Idk if you remember but awhile back they fixed some of the maps with giant loops by blocking certain windows. They could do something similar here; keep the window on top which survivor use to activate balance landing but block the windows on the bottom floor.

Also, my post was made for killers without teleport powers. Has a main Hag of course I understand we don't care about obstacles but others do.

  • @Frosty said:

Seriously though, it's like more people are becoming advanced loopers that it's common to get one if not a few each game. Not complaing, just gotta adapt and over come, the better they get, the better we can be.

Agreed but it's still insane. They literally kept running over there.

Twice I stopped chasing and went for someone else and the person would instantly run back to the big loop. I manage to get two kills but it was honestly sooooo broken.

I'm not one to call for nerfs or buffs but definetly the devs need to do something to reduce that kind of situations. I mean it's getting lame REAL quick.

  • @GeneralSpudmuffin said:

That alone doesn't grab me because the spin-off Resident Evil games of the last 2 console generations were pretty crap. Operation Racoon City looked kinda cool...ended up being a socom with RE dressing and a boring, buggy mess....Umbrella Corps....,laughably bad.

The main Resident Evil games have done well and the REmakes for them, because they built off the success of the titles of the past, with a clesr cut & passionate team working on,it for MANY years. This looks passable on paper, but we know nothing about it except a teaser trailer. I personally don't see a reason to get hyped for it until actual gameplay and demos/final product is out to try.
