I think you should start by asking for the killer being made aware that he/she faced a SWF in the post-game lobby, maybe even before the trial in the pre-game lobby before you ask for bonus bloodpoints.
Actually, seeing the multiplier at the end of the game will tell you that you went against a SWF but not who it was so you can look out for them (unless yer one of those psychos who writes down the names of people you play against). I wouldn't mind that.
-
People will learn to play around them eventually. It's a new mechanic. On higher levels they do pretty much nothing except give information.
-
I do better with his M1 than his "power" which is kinda silly. The hitbox is just too unreliable. It seems worse than in the PTB.
-
Until proven otherwise, I will always believe the servers favor bad ping over good ping. It's the only explanation why I get hit in impossible fashions as survivor but miss the same hits as killer. (and end up exhausted on the ground half the time with dead hard but somehow other people dead hard with my weapon halfway through their body)
It's probably the most frustrating thing for me about this game currently.

Did anyone ever find out what it is?
I remember this being mentioned when Oni came out but nothing since.

I thought the Twins were a test to see if Chucky would work. I have seen a few ideas where Human Tiffany would carry Chucky around, similar to the twins. I hope I am right.

I enjoy a civil discourse about what just went down. Good natured jesting about the match etc. When someone loses their tiny mind over made-up ideals it gets tiresome. If something crazy/funny/amazing happens, let's acknowledge it. If you wanna complain about how someone played a video game, that's what the steam forums are for ha ha.

Honestly. Winning doesn't get you anything in this game other than bloodpoints, the same thing you get by doing ANYTHING in this game. There is no explicit point to winning. You don't gain special abilities, you don't get special awards, you simply get more bloodpoints than if you hadn't won (and sometimes less than if you'd lost). So what's the purpose of winning? Bloodpoints. What do bloodpoints do? Advance your characters. What's the point of advancing your characters? To play more games and earn more bloodpoints.
So, basically, this person is gimping his own game just so he can have an easier time gaining bloodpoints, which do nothing but ENCOURAGE YOU TO KEEP PLAYING THE GAME. He's so consumed with winning that he's deliberately made his game look like #########, despite the fact that winning isn't going to change anything in his game.
I mean seriously, unless this jackass is getting some kind of special out of game privileges and attention for this (besides this mockery that he rightfully deserves), he is doing something that literally has zero purpose. He is ruining his game so he can...play more of it.
It's not about winning in the game, it's about winning in general. Some people's egos are so fragile or they have been taught winning is everything. Some people are too competitive for whatever reason, they can't handle losing and will take any shortcut they can. Everyone is damaged in some way, some are just more noticeable than others.

Ok, I think I have a solution: Hatch Grabs. Just bring them back.
Agreed. Hatch grabs for key users only. Dunno why it got removed entirely at all. (Not that it would work half the time given the state of grabs the last few years)
-
As someone who enjoys playing hag, I think allowing walking to bypass traps would be an ok change instead of just slow-ass crouching. Running still triggers obviously.
Also, not being able to trap right under hooks would probably be a good healthy change.
-
A current trend in re-worked perks has been to make an add-on simulate a specific killer perk (Bubba got a "Drop items when hit with chainsaw" as an example.) They made Black Box low calorie blood warden. Also, when all gens are done it negates Freddy's mobility. I think this is a nice trade off for that power loss.
-
Smoke behind text and the bloodweb animations play really fast. I thought it was my graphics card at first.

lol ds wasn't nerfed. it's functionality is the same as the pre change. they just nerfed the ABUSIBILITY of it. lol though they did buff a few killer things but nothing as big as they buffed survivors.... though i disagree with the change of small game to no longer ping killer traps!
Survivor players have nerfed it by not running it anymore because it's no longer an abusable shield. It does what it says on the box now.

He's way better I still wish bounce was base but at least he had a power now maybe a few small buffs and main event rework and he is definitely viable
Ricochet as base kit would mitigate the "ducking behind stuff" issue he has and inject some skill to learn the trajectory of bounces. I am disappointed they wouldn't at least try it in the PTB to see.

No one runs Obsession perks because there aren’t very many of them and most of them are bad, situational or just average.
Soul Survivor and Mettle of Man are meme tier pretty much unusable.
Object is high risk and doesn’t suit most Survivors’ playstyles.
Decisive Strike and For the People are inconsistent (and always have been). So sometimes they’ll be game changing and other times they’ll be like running three perks all game.
Blood Pact is an underrated Aura perk that’s comparably to Empathy and Aftercare. But hard to justify over the current meta perks because its just average.
Basically, we need a lot of the current Obsession Perks buffed to be more appealing and probably the Obsession Mechanic added to more perks (maybe Deliverance, Unbreakable, Soul Guard, Babysitter, Second Wind, Head On, Smash Hit etc.)
"Decisive Strike and For the People are inconsistent (and always have been). So sometimes they’ll be game changing and other times they’ll be like running three perks all game."
So kinda like running killer Hex perks?

I wouldn't say it is purely our fault. A lot of these games died because of bad decisions from the developer/publisher. Last Year died because of Discord exclusively, Evolve died because they tried to hard to make it an E-Sport title and they had a bad DLC policy but I think people don't give new games a chance and instandly say "Nah it will die in 2 months" but will also complain about DBD not having any competition. It is a problem on both sides. Devs and publisher decision weren't good and players don't give new games a chance.
The problem I have seen is they make an Assym game "Early Access" and it's usually SO unpolished it fails because people are like "MEH". F13 got close because they released an actual game (yes buggy, etc) but it was more fleshed out than Hide or Die or Monstrum 2. Some games are fine for EA, but unfinished assyms... not so much.
-
I find this amusing considering BHVR is from a country where there is a law that things have to be in multiple languages. Cest' La vie.

Praise the entitey while bounce isint base everything else I could of asked for was addressed
Yah with so many people asking for bounce as base, I find it odd they refuse to do it. I'd like to hear why. I'd even accept "Cuz' we don't wanna LAWL".

I'm not a fan of it activating after deliverance personally. I've seen that combo run a few games now and it totally screws people over at the end game and I feel it's just gonna increase in general.
-
This technique is a "cure" for the symptom. If Blight's turning radius was tweaked juuuust a bit, it wouldn't be as necessary. Without it, he is too easy to juke, especially for a novice player going against knolwedgable players (which we all know happens more than it should). I remember the first time I got hit with it. I was a mix of confused and livid. I asked the person in post game chat how he pulled it off and they straight up admitted "High DPI". Blight is hard to get hits with in various situations. He needs a tiiiiny fix in my opinion. Not that it will stop people from feeling they need outside help to be good with the killer, but it would even the playing field a tad.

The ONLY time I saw him be effective is proxy camping hooks and just unloading on an unhooker while they are locked in animation. So another killer whose strength is camping wheeeeee.

I for sure can tell the difference. I wanna know though why every single red rank suddenly became absolutely terrible.
I played some Trapper since I haven't touched him in a while and got a set of green ranks, makes sense, and they werent terrible, just not amazing. But then I picked up Wraith, got three reds and a purple, but they were the worst reds and purple I've ever seen.
What is the matching data based off? Kills and escapes? Because if so why am I getting bad survivors? As Wraith I'm getting avg. 3 kills a game because slugging for hatch is tedious so I dont think I should be getting such incompetent survivors.
Because a lot of red ranks are boosted potatoes because of SWF comms.

Title says it all, nearly every game I play has a Prove Thyself, which makes the awful gen speeds even worse. If you play on a larger map or are playing a low mobility killer, you're bound to lose more often than not.
It is extremely frustrating to finally catch a survivor, hit them, and then have a gen pop by the time you finally down them after they ran forward to waste time. Gen regression perks help, but often times the gen pops before I can get to it, and even then, I don't want to HAVE to run gen regression every game.
Has anyone else noticed to insane amounts of Prove Thyself's lately (toolboxes too), or am I just getting unlucky with my games?
Prove Thyself is a toolbox that never runs out. As a survivior, it's great, as a killer it SUCKS. It really needs a tweak. Like it activates only if you are standing by survivors but not actually working on the gen (your presence instill confidence). That way you have to decide to waste time boosting a stat or doing something else.

No - I am a streamer - I review my VODs for potential YT uploads etc - so I not only play the matches, but review them as well. I also track my kill and survival rates for my streams so I can accurately state my 0, 1, 2, 3, and 4k matches for the past 3 years as well as door and hatch escapes and deaths. I find that stating facts is a lot more useful than the hyperbolic ramblings of most posters.
I swear this forum makes people defensive. I wasn't making fun of you or attacking you ha ha. I was just impressed.

I see killers run both so...

16 matches today - 5 were Wreckers. The only other repeat maps I had were 2 Swamps, Ormonds, and Midwich. I did go to Coldwind once. One of the Ormonds and Midwich were offerings.
That's uh... pretty efficient record keeping there.

He looks like he has hints of Trickster from DC comics (and Jared Leto Joker) but without all the cool gadgets that would make him a "trickster".

His best add-on got nerfed, and his special ability turns into him a fire hose attached to a cutlery store.
Ooooooookaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay....
This image made me happy.
Also, I agree with the many people who agree his ricochets should be base to make him more interesting playwise and visually. I hope they do it. They have done stuff like it in the past so why not this? (Pallet breaks for demo and Blight come to mind)
-
Play both sides then you will understand why it happens.
-
Some maps it's not working. Lery's is one of them.
-
I came here to suggest ricochet as basekit actually. Glad it's not just me. It would add some more "Fun" to his power and a more interesting visual to the game to just see knives flying everywhere. Also, getting hit by a random knife as survivor might scare a few people ha ha.
I like the knife gen break. Maybe 5 instead of 3 but it's an interesting idea.
-
First one was Thompson House and second was Lery's.

I think the best solution is just to give players the option to switch between the new and classic HUD in the settings. It's really the fairest decision, since the community as a whole get what they want and the Devs don't have to completely scrap something they spent time on implementing.
Pretty sure a poll was hosted a few days ago on the forums and something like 95% of people said they disliked the new HUD. I think BHVR would be crazy not to do something like this.
You must be new here...

This has been suggested so many times. It blows my mind that the devs can't be bothered to make this change. Lag and input delay cause people to die in the struggle phase, which is unfair and annoying. Skill checks similar to cages will mitigate this, at least, as missing one doesn't kill you outright.
Careful. If you complain too much Ethan will come in and tell you to stop bitchin' like he did to that player about color blind options.
-
I have a theory that the servers prioritize bad ping over good ping. I hover around 40-50 and am robbed of things I see other people with a higher ping get all the time. The system is borked.
-
@Kees_T said:
Not anything new to be honest, I discoved this when I started to play back in 2018. As so the Dev's like to call, there is no auto aim, only aim adressing that makes hits looks "smooth", which in really rare scenarios can make you miss hits.
"rare" he says.
-
The counter to victor is just run in circles around a small obstacle like a tire pile and wait for them to miss the pounce (which they will) and then you have a week and a half to kick him.
-
I checked page 2 but guess I didn't scroll far enuff. That's a weird function. Might wanna have someone look into that. Sorry for the bother.
-
I looked for a place to report website bugs but couldn't find it anywhere.
-
His hitbox is (no pun intended) hit or miss. I lunged at a survivor on the exit gate, they were NOT moving. They were lined up in the center of my screen and I hit the wall literally next to their head. Other times I can miss them entirely but still land a hit. It's almost as bad as Blights rush hitbox (and that is terrible).

Just to clear things up about the entire UE Blueprints thing, that's a misconception and please refer to this clip:
I would pay cash money to listen to someone actually talk and explain about the coding and show what they use. Just to know. Something like that hitboxes talk would be insightful for a lot of people I think. Technical discussions can be very interesting and informative for people.

Just gonna leave this here. Seems like a good and relevant place for it.

One suggestion I have is to make Charlotte more, I don't know, active when she's idle. Could be interesting if she revealed survivors like Victor, or he could hold ctrl while on a dying survivor or something to make her idle body move towards the dying survivor passively at a reduced speed, so the Twins' massive efficiency problem could be reduced somewhat.
Even if she would just turn and look at you if you got too close like a Hag phantasm would be freaky.
-
No good reason has ever been given. I personally would like to know if I lost due to comms or my bad choices. I think less people would be tilted if they knew they got screwed by a team at the end.
-
Shout out to @SpaceCoconut.(Who can't see this) Viva la' Revolucion'!
-
Because once a gate is open, there is no point really. Survivors just stand there and the killer wants the game over. I totally get it.

Got stuck and just spun in a circle bobbing up and down until I got unstuck.
