  • I think Botany is a pretty solid healing perk.

I don't like the envelope offerings that give BP to all survivors but not the killer. The killer deserves love, too. Seriously, though, it's not right and I see no reason for those offerings to specifically exclude the killer. It feels mean spirited.

I think its intentional that it only affects survivors as it promotes that "us vs them" feeling.

It'd reduce the animosity that's infecting Dead by Daylight.

Let's drive away even more killers.
Sounds like a good idea considering the current survivor queues

Good ideas aren't always on the developers' agenda, as we have seen from time to time.

Not at all. Those offerings should be changed as follows:

    1) 25/50/75/100% personal bonuses to everything;

    2) 25/50/75/100% group bonuses to everything.

You forgot the 75% group bonus. XD

    I mean I guess?

The developers would need to design that 75% one though. They'd only need to modify values with my rework. No new content required, only a few changes in code to remove most offerings and change the values of the remaining ones.

Among 16 offerings, they can recycle 8 icons instead of 7, changing only the texts and the numerical parameters. :)

I guess. They don't have to make any new icons or whatever with only 7 offerings, thus making the actual effort of reworking the offerings borderline minimal.

  • Survivors feel it "robs them" of their victory.

  • Skip healing and rush them generators as fast as you can.

  • Too lazy to make something unique so I used the username I was given waaay back in school.

    Okay that was unexpected...

I love you guys! You´re awesome!

How'd even you end up in there?

I would probably turn it off. I've tried using voice chat in all sorts of games and my experience is almost always the same. You get a mix of people playing vaguely public domain sounding rap music in the background (but refusing to use push to talk), the guy who's way too young to play the game arguing with his mother about cleaning his room or playing five more minutes, and then the guy who's your best friend until they die and they start blaming everyone else and throwing around insults like they're going out of style. And then you've got people like me who have been down that road before and want no part of it so we just turn it off, or people who don't have microphones to begin with.

So much this. That's also my experience in most games with VOIP.
I'd have disabled this feature so bad if it ended up in DbD. It doesn't belong here.

Toughing up on the DC banning plus adding a progressively worse time-out between sessions if you left through DC'ing would be a good start.

That's cheap and band aid solution but I don't expect more from someone who is rank 20 and don't know his own game. This could be fixed in many ways apart from fixing the game and reduce number of d/c but oh well let's actually ban everyone. It will eventually kill the game so I guess I might have some interest in it.

Behavior are the Band-Aid Gods of Gaming. It'd be right up their alley.
How'd you solve the DC epidemic then?

  • Why go through the extra hassle of installing a part when a generator still only takes 80 seconds to repair without any parts?

  • Toughing up on the DC banning plus adding a progressively worse time-out between sessions if you left through DC'ing would be a good start.

  • It gives something for people to come back to.

  • I rather not have any creepypasta garbage, please.

I bet Last Year had plans to include licensed killers and survivors, but since DBD did it first, those plans are pretty much out the door.

DbD should license out one of their killers and LY should license out one of theirs.
Slasher is a bit generic but both Giant or Strangler are good fits for potential new killers in DbD.

There was a planned "Brute" type of killer known as The Smasher, but he was scrapped, i guess he was supposed to be similar to The Giant, but i guess it didn't work out.

Mmyeah, I remember seeing "gameplay" of the early DbD on the earliest livestreams.

  • There's a reason why DS is considered the most hated perk in the game.
The perk isn't a problem when you know that the obsession got it.. but when every OTHER survivor in the trial got a hidden auto-escape.. that's too much.

me and my friends usually do nothing and mess around, play with the killer till they dc or eventually down us, then we do gens

You and your friends aren't helping the "killers don't wanna play against SWFs" situation by looking to make killers DC, you know.

  • I like reading what people make up. Even got a favorite killer concept, one that's also pretty old.
Some prisoner killer with shock collars, kinda like a mix between Pig and Doctor.

  • I've lost a few cakes and BPS already thanks to loading screens taking forever and the games not starting as well.
    It's kinda frustrating.

    Overcharge Buff:

    • Survivor looks in the general direction of Generator from half way across the zone which then proceeds to blow up, disintegrating entirely there by removing the possibility of repairing it for the duration of match.

    • Generator shrapnel then flings off in all directions and applies NOED one shot downed state to any survivor within eye shot of the now destroyed generator.

    • Killer then gets a lolly and a pony, a coupon and a pat on the back.

    Had a bad game?

No just bored of easymode. I'd like an actual challenge on Killer, one of the reasons I prefer Freddy.

If you want a proper hardmode, why not just play perkless without add-ons and leave it at that? Going around being a snarky douche-nugget towards others doesn't solve anything.

  • Tunneling a survivor down and getting them out of the game is the best way to slow the game down. 3 survivors don't work as efficient as 4 survivors.

It might be 75 but I think only 2 are working

Well, 60 of them work on cosmetics, 10 of them are community managers and those 5 are the ones rotating on the dev streams.

Pretty much. 75 people would have done more than only pumping out cosmetics into the store.

  • An alternative would be that generators take a longer time to repair without a part, as to imagine the survivors jury-rigging the generator to make it work.

Having a visual indicator on a generator with a part installed would also be awesome. Maybe even make a unique sound when it's being worked on?

I care a bit less about crossplay and more about cross-platform accounts.  The moment they let me carry over my progress to PC, I am throwing the PS4 version in the garbage (figuratively speaking).

    How about

    I can agree with that.

    Same here.
There's nothing to lose aside from a bit of extra hassle.

  • Visually, it'd be Clown and Spirit.

  • Iron Will
    Quick n' Quiet
    Lightweight
Whatever perk I feel like (usually bond, alert, lithe, deliverance or borrowed time).

  • There's a reason why Decisive Strike is considered one of the most hated perks in the game.
We don't need even more perks like Decisive Strike.

  • Unstoppable (Killer Perk)
Pressing your action key (or whatever) causes you to tackle a short distance in front of you, breaking any used pallets that's in your way without losing any momentum. Unstoppable goes on a 160 / 140 / 120 seconds cooldown after being used. Getting stunned reduces remaining cooldown by 50%.

Basically a killer version of Dead Hard that breaks pallets.

PWYF doesn't work as good as you'd think, as you waste the tokens from the perk faaaar faster than you gain them. PWYF works best on killers like Leatherface, who can down survivors in a single hit and still keep tokens going.

If you want something that sync with Feral Frenzy, then perks like Franklin's Demise or Hex: The Third Seal are better.

You don't lose tokens from Chainsawing survivors? NO WAY.

You do. One token. Even if you hit all four survivors in one of Bubba's chainsaw frenzies. He's.. cost efficient.

Okay. Picture this: Instead of the perk not activating in a chase, the perk deactivates once you're within 24 meters of a survivor. BUT, the perk wouldn't show you if you are or aren't in 24 meters of a survivor. No perk glow indication and no haste effect removal notification. What then?

Oh, like an even stronger version of Whispers?
    ..that'd not solve anything..

  • I keep switching between Spirit, Clown and Doctor. I'd play my Legacy 3 Nurse more if I didn't suffer from bad motion sickness whenever I whip her out for a go.

  • Immersed survivors in a nutshell, hahah.

  • Don't go and give the developers more ideas for store fodder.

  • @Tsulan said:
I still wonder how they'll pay for the servers.

That's an easy answer. Even MORE cosmetics! More DLCs!

I'm not sure I'm a fan. This would, essentially, be bloodlust that does not have counterplay. Failing to catch the survivor would be rewarded with a massive speed boost that they cannot get rid of. You would basically be closing the gap twice as fast as you normally would and upon hitting a survivor, drop back down to closing the gap 66% faster. The only trade-off is that you don't get bloodlust on the obsession (since you pretty much have the bloodlust mechanic in the form of this perk against everyone else).

I would always run this, is the simple version. It's just too good. Someone could outplay me and outsmart me and I would get a massive speed boost for it. Even when I do hit them it wouldn't fully go away, and they can't force me to lose it with a safe pallet either. That's not even considering the map pressure I could apply while moving around at 5.2m/s.

Well, like I said to @se05239, what would you think if the speed boost was deactived while in a chase, but you kept the stacks?

If it deactivated in chases, people would just do a Legion and moonwalk.

Game turned into a bully simulator a long time ago.
New players think they have to git gud. Because survivors tell them.
After a longer time most killer mains realize that it's not a getting gud thing.
They then either switch to survivor as M.Cote recommended or play a different game.

Survivor mains claim that they don't care that killers leave left and right. But the long queues tell a different story.
The game is almost always on sale for 9,99$/€/£ to desperately attract fresh meat.

On top of that, survivors make ridiculous wishes like temp bans for lobby dodging.
They don't realize that killers just don't enjoy their gameplay.

But since survivors are the larger group, they can easily review bomb and force the devs to act in their favor.

This sums a lot of issues up.
Dead by Daylight has always been about the people playing survivors. Catering to the majority and making sure they're happy is what's generating revenue to Behavior. Just look at the store fodder for the original survivors and the free survivors compared to the killers of the same area.

  • Since it'd be easier to keep PWYF going with your rework, it'd probably be better if it wasn't 15% max because that'd be utterly broken. Every killer would almost become a permanent Frenzy Legion.. but with more lethal prowess.

  • @Surikato said:
Will we get new outfits for The Legion in the future?

    Definitely.
Four members means 4x the potential Store fodder.

  • As someone who holds shift basically the entire game as a Survivor, I'd use DH. I don't use any Exhaustion perks though.

  • @Magnus13 said:
This would be a very interesting chapter, but the phase walk just seems like a nurse ability.

It looks more like if the Spirit's Phasewalk and Nurse's Blink got married and had a child, as it is a mix of the two. It doesn't have the speed of Phasewalk or the range of Blink but it seems like the killer gets to keep most of their senses while walking through objects as a trade-off.

  • The killer side of the event sucked balls.
