The event is simple, really: There is 1 special item in the game. If the survivors manage to escape with it, all survivors get an event point. If no more survivors remain in the map (either dead/escaped) but the item still remains in the map/is destroyed, the killer will get an even point.

So if a survivor dies early and decide to not watch the entire game for 10-20 minutes more.. they'd lose event points if the other three survivors ended up escaping?

You do realize that we live in an age where people have the attention span of a puppy, right? Forcing people to spectate in order to make sure that they'd get any potential event points seems like a really bad design choice, if you ask me.

If I could create my own event it would be something like infection from the CoD series. Where you play as survivor by default. However one random person is selected as the killer which is random on who you play as. That one player has to hook a survivor to 'kill' them, the 'dead' survivor comes back as a random killer who has to hunt down other survivors. The last survivor alive gets the most points, and the killer who had hooked the most would get the most points as well. This could be like a week long event and if it works, a new gamemode.

    That actually sounds fun.
With the current p2p system, it'd not be possible though. Too many people with McDonalds internet.

If the killer camps, do gens. Easy 3 escape.

NO!. because the most of the people die fast (suicide) in the hook when the killer is camping.

And throwing yourself at the hook and dying solves.. what exactly?

Either way dodging is still dodging and should still be banned

I rather focus on punishing early-midgame disconnections from survivors first.

  • The killer side of the event was an afterthought.

  • People complain about lobby dodging but here I am being furious about 1-2 survivors disconnecting every game..

  • Ruin, BBQ, Make Your Choice and Nurse's Calling for me.

  • Playing killer for me is very stressful. I rarely feel like I am having a fun game, even if I end up sacrificing all four survivors.

Why is "immersed" used as a negative connotation for stealth players?

"Immersed" is used for players who use Urban Evasion (often as P3 Claudettes) and just UE around the level while doing generators. The second they hear a heartbeat, they're gone. They rarely go for saves or anything, so you often see them while on a hook UE'ing around on the other side of the level while hanging out on a hook.

The coldwind maps need a complete overhaul.

    This.

  • Its a battle royale game, so I don't give a single ######### about it.

    • Taking hits for other survivors.
    • SAFE saves.
    • Healing a fellow survivor a health state.

These three actions should reward a WGLF stack.

  • There used to be dailies where you'd get 100+ BP for doing one but the objectives needed to complete one usually required several games. I liked those more.

  • The balance of the game has always been a bit shrewd. The game is not supposed to work on a 1v1 basis but the survivor "power-level" is high enough that a single survivor can screw the entire game up for the killer, despite whatever advantages the killer's supposed to have.

I'm so excited: The Freddy rework, the frame rate improvements, the hatch rework, lobby fixes, matchmaking, ice skating and the DS nerf!

    So pure. So innocent.

the only thing I find weird about Prayer Beads is that the Wraith doesn't have a similarly powerful addon that removes his shimmer while cloaked. Especially with the amount of time it takes him to decloak before he can attack, he's much less likely to get a gen grab or anything, and he suffers from the same tell tale signs (grass moving, sound, etc)

Tbh I don't get why he still has a shimmer at all. He could use that kind of buff at base and would still probably not even be mid tier.

I'd imagine it's because of counter-play design reasons.

  • By holding sprint, you cannot be healed. Use it.

  • The more the merrier, if you ask me.
    I agree with your ideas.

  • Hook camping works because most survivors cannot accept the fact that not everyone can be saved.

Survivors started it, Killers retaliated in kind, now people who don't know history either claim it's Killers or both sides.

It started with survivors exploiting the true infintes and the hostage taking that followed afterwards.

  • Doctor gains a lot of map pressure when survivors are in madness 2-3 as his tracking of them are boosted (depending on add-ons) and he'll always know where you are.

  • To be fair, if you looped her good for 3 minutes and she wasn't smart enough to stop, then I can understand why she went for you right away over and over. Why'd she risk you going free again?

    searching pig boxes
how long you've been recovering while downed
how far u get ur wiggle bar
getting out of chase from the killer

I approve of these. Although, the chase one should work sorta like how the Safe Unhook trigger works, in that you need to lose the killer and be outside a chase for 20-30 seconds. The score should be lowish (since escape is 5k) and scale depending on how long the chase was.

  • Prefer "Killer Main" but I play Survivor faaar more..

Rework the clown: Make him 110% or even 105% speed because he is fat but buff his bottles to 40% and make them last 3 seconds by default. So he is more reliant on his bottles but when he hits survivors its a better pay off.

You don't solve his biggest issue (which is no map pressure) by reducing his speed..

  • To be fair, your version of Ruin would be a mandatory pick for everyone everywhere. It's waaay too strong.

This is one of those fallacies that killer mains like to propagate. Killers camp for a reason. It works. If camping and tunneling was naturally punished by survivors pushing objectives unchallenged then killers wouldn't do it. And yet, killers continue to camp and tunnel. That says something doesn't it?

Yes. It says that survivors aren't pushing objectives unchallenged. Instead, they try to force unhooks.

Unless we are talking about SWF then the survivors that were working on generators need to get off the generator and run half way across the map to verify whether the killer is camping or not. The survivor will need to spend a few seconds assessing whether they can safely get the unhook or not. Then the survivor will need to run halfway across the map again to get back on their generator.

All that time spent on a failed rescue attempt isn't punishing the killer at all. Giving up one or two generators for a secured kill is well worth it to the killer anyway just because of how snowbally this game is. All of this is assuming the survivors are willing to give up on each other for the larger strategic objectives. This is also depending on the hooked survivor not just suiciding on hook because they aren't having fun.

So again, I assert that killers camp for a reason. Because it works. The fairy tale that survivors can effectively punish a camping killer by pushing objectives is just that. A fairy tale. Even if the survivors are on board with that strategy, best case scenario the killer still kills two survivors and everyone gets horrible bloodpoints for the game.

Camping takes two minutes to kill someone, not including the time spent on the chase, which can take up to 3 generators. If two more generators pop at that point, the killer gets one kill (if that, since there's always BT). If more than one survivor dies to camping, it's because they fed the camper. It's that simple.

Survivors suiciding on the hook is not relevant because it's still feeding.

Survivors are the ones who make camping worthwhile. They've always done so, hence the epidemic. Killers should not be punished for the survivors' bad decisions.

Lastly, if the killer gets two kills, then by the devs' definition, it's a balanced strategy.

That is exactly the fantasy that killer mains like to spread. The first four months that I played this game, I spent as a camping/tunneling killer. I'm talking literally hundreds of games of camping/tunneling. This is a subject that I have vasts amounts of experience in. This was when I didn't have all killers perks unlocked and at rank 3. And I still easily got and maintained rank 1 using this basic strategy. This was over a year ago when the game was much more difficult for killers as well. There have been many killer buffs and survivor nerfs in the last year.

Why did I do all that camping and tunneling? Because it worked. Pure and simple. This hypothetical scenario that the survivors would punish me just didn't happen. Or at the least it was unbelievably rare. So at the risk of repeating myself I say again that killers camp for a reason. If survivors are incapable of punishing killers for camping then there is no reason for killers to stop. It is obviously something that ruins the experience of the game for many players so it is a problem. One that can be solved fairly for both sides.

Survivors are not incapable of punishing camping; they are unwilling to do so, period.

It boils down to this. They want those points and they feel entitled to them.

What's the wrong with the current one, where she literally strangles the survivor to death to put them out of misery?

Nothing is wrong with it, I heard that people were asking to add more kills in DBD so I made this for fun

If that's the plan, you should aim for the original three. Trapper, Wraith and Billy's Moris are all very outdated and garbage.

  • What's the wrong with the current one, where she literally strangles the survivor to death to put them out of misery?

  • I'd like them to show;

    • Kill/escape stats counting games where NOED was AND wasn't used.
    • Kill/escape stats counting games where Ruin was AND wasn't used.
    • Kill/escape stats counting games where both Ruin and NOED were AND weren't used.
    • Overall Kill/escape stats where DC'ing does AND doesn't count as a sacrifice.
    • Overall DC rate over all ranks.
    • Average DC rate against certain killers.

Of course, the developers won't show any of these.. and if they do.. they'll probably merge their stats with the console versions and properly ######### ######### up.

  • It has made vaulting safer.

  • There's some top notch photoshop skills going on in this thread. I like it.

  • Dunno about power but there was a similar thread on reddit where they also asked for possible teachable perks that Mr. X could have. I left a suggestion on that post.

    Unstoppable
The Entity has provided you with great power to destroy obstacles in your way.
Every 140 / 130 / 120 seconds you can initiate a short tackle (basically a killer version of Dead Hard) that'll break dropped pallets without any loss of momentum. Stuns reduce the remaining cooldown of Unstoppable by half.

  • Survivors complained that wiggling wasn't worth it and BHVR listened.

  • I only cared for Ace's stuff, so I don't play that much now.

  • Shame you didn't keep proper statistics to show us. More fun that way.

I lost all faith in the dev team - they are very insecure to nerf DS, because they fear the negative feedback. Sad part is DS is one thing in the entire game that fuels toxicity and it seems devs do approve it.

They also chickened out regarding the Hatch change. They always end up catering to the fun of the majority because there's where their revenue comes from.

  • @Poweas said:
I'm high rank and he's broken. Weak if played correctly but broken if you abuse his lack of counterplay.

That's the irony of it all, isn't it?
Buff him and he'll become utterly broken.
Nerf him and he'll become utterly trash.

  • Making survivors unable to see what the killer's loadout is mid-game. That's an awesome change.

  • There's not enough killers to go around because there's little worth in playing killer in this event.

  • They should make the ban for disconnecting stricter.
And also add a progressively worse waiting period if you disconnect more than x times in an hour.

  • Probably one of the worst suggestions so far.

  • They decided to side with the majority.

  • My carpal tunnel hands would love this. Mashing spacebar is the worst experience in the game for me as it literally hurts..

  • They're still a bit buggy but much better compared to how they were a few weeks ago. You can actually hear grass rustle and footsteps from running survivors now.
