  • If you remove SWF or make SWF only have 2 people, the majority of the playerbase will be angry about it and disappear, then killers won't get lobbies and the game will quickly die. Is that what you want? Most SWF aren't even the toxic kind, they just want to play with their friends because solo survivor for most people is boring as hell.

I low-key feel as though both DS and NOED should just be removed completely. They are the MOST complained about perks and reward bad playstyles. Although I (and everybody else) has used both DS and NOED at some point (don’t lie you know at SOME point you have used DS at least one time) they are the only TRUE crutch perks in the game that reward the player for something they shouldn’t be rewarded for.

The only reason that DS will never be removed is because of the “Adept Laurie” trophy :/

I agree. I want both sides to shut up and stop complaining about NOED/DS. I think DS should just get replaced with an entirely different perk with a different name and the same goes for NOED.

  • Claudette's torso, Wraith's body and head, Huntress mask and clothes. Idk last one I want

I feel like there should be a required secondary objective to do. If there was something similar to the plants added, survivors would just ignore them like totems.

If the devs were to add a secondary objective, it would need to be something the survivors HAVE to do before they even touch generators. Perhaps fueling the generators with randomly spawned gas cans or something. If/when the devs add an objective the survivors HAVE to do before they can touch gens, Ruin could possibly be nerfed depending on how the games go. We'll see

I'm not wanting to hammer nerf Ruin, just a small nerf to prevent games from lasting 30+ minutes and if 4 generators are remaining. Then you and the survivor will be playing hide and seek world championship which is just super boring.

I know you don't want to severely nerf Ruin, I understand and agree with you. :chuffed:

  • Bills. When they try to be toxic, they're really bad at it. Bills mains are precious

Basically classic BHVR. Good concept, bad execution. During the event its impossible to play a normal game. Everyone rushs Nectar and suicides, nobody gives a damn. Dead event for survivors after 30 vials.

That sucks a lot. Since I play SWF as survivor most of the time (solo survivor is extremely boring for me) these kinds of people aren't a problem for me. I don't understand why these kinds of survivors can't just...play normally. Is it really that hard? And yea, I hate how the event dies and you can't get more BPS after 30 vials. I think that's a bit dumb.

  • @SleepyWillo said:
How have your games been going? Survivors don't exactly have time to do anything other than gens by the looks of things. Only games I haven't gotten 4k is where I took pity and let em farm.

As Killer, my games have been going as normal. If the survivors want to farm, I let them farm, if they don't, I'll just play normally. The only different thing is I make my way to the event hooks and not the nearest hook.
As Survivor, it's also going fine since I've been mostly in SWF. I don't want to do the event alone, to be honest. It seems like it would be pretty painful. Some games have sucked, some haven't. Since all of us bring the offerings, we all do fine on vial filling and none of us really hog them. I'm probably biased in some way saying the event is alright since I've only been playing SWF and not solo survivor, but I can imagine as a solo survivor the event sucks a lot more.

  • I also have weird internet that disconnects me from matches occasionally, but nothing has happened to me. You'll be okay, most likely.

  • The devs were nice enough to give us 6/21 cosmetic pieces we can grind for instead of just 3. The majority of the playerbase is also happy we can get in total 2/7 full outfits if we want.
I don't want to be "that guy," but...stop crying.

  • No0b3 is having this issue (he's live), I'm also having this issue, and my boyfriend is having this issue.

  • This is the greatest thread to ever exist.

  • I agree with you, OP. I'm tired of everything getting leaked. I'm sure not as many people would complain if the skins weren't leaked.
When the developers release a patch or a PTB or whatever, is it really that hard to take these kinds of files out of the game temporarily?

  • @sorrowen said:
All event cosmetics should be unlocked with event currency with paying cash optional.

I agree, especially when you pay for the base game. If this was a F2P game I would understand and be happy they let us get some cosmetics, most F2P games don't even give you that...but this is not a F2P game. They'd still make a lot of money off this event if they made it where you could grind for skins but also purchase them if you wanted to, because not everyone likes to grind.

  • This doesn't feel like a cool, special event. They aren't even exclusive skins like the last couple of events were. Pretty lame.
Edit: the only cool thing about this event is spooky clickers and lunchboxes are coming back.

  • I love the Wraith so much. He was my first killer I leveled up and mained. Something about him was so incredibly adorable to me as well. An inside joke between my friends and I is that I'm the Wraith's mom because I love him so much. How could anyone hate him? He's so precious.

  • Overrated: Dead Hard, Rancor
Dead Hard is complete garbage, and that's that. It'll probably work once, and unless the killer is a bit special, he'll just bait your DH out. It's barely ever useful, and I hate it. Worst exhaustion perk in my opinion.
Rancor is also trash and I don't know why I see so many people use it. It's a hard counter to DS and it gets you a confirmed kill. Sounds okay on paper, but it's such a wasted perk slot. Most people who aren't stupid will hide until the gates are open so they can leave safely. If you want to counter out DS, just bring Enduring - good on literally every killer except Nurse and helps with looping.
I feel like people who take Rancor count too much on it to give them a confirmed kill at the end of the game, and they don't realize how bad it is. It's crazy how many people I see use it.

Underrated: Windows of Opportunity, Monitor & Abuse
Windows of Opportunity is such an underrated perk, and I love using it. People say it's meant for newbies who don't know where pallet or window vaults are, but that's false. Tiles spawn weirdly and sometimes you don't get a pallet at a certain tile that typically has a pallet. Another survivor may have used a jungle gym pallet you thought was still there. Perhaps the basement house that can spawn on Haddonfield/Springwood that you were intending to loop during a chase doesn't have the pallet spawned down there. It's an incredibly helpful perk, and I love running it.
Monitor & Abuse is hilarious and pairs well with Nurse's Calling. People get so tripped out by it. It's especially good on Nurse. I don't really know what to say about it, other than it's hysterical and one of my favorite perks. I wish more people ran it.

They probably did rank reset manually.

There is a program you can use to put your rank to whatever you want, including 20, whenever you want to. I won't say how here because I don't want people to see it and abuse it themselves, but it exists and it works. It's likely that's what she did.

Modifying game files will earn you a ban though and is caught in situations like that most of the time

With the program, you don't directly modify your game files, though. I would just say what the program does but I don't want to risk getting forum banned. I know a handful of people that do this and none of them are banned (they also do other questionable things, that's besides the point). It has a weirdly low ban risk, I've never heard of someone getting banned from it.

  • I so agree, the chase music pisses me off and so does the TR. It would be a massive improvement to lower the volume.

  • Clown. I hate eggman with a passion. Every game against him I just want to commit toaster bath.
They always BM and play like arses and it tilts me.

  • Perfect 32k points and a 4 man using only nurses calling 1. Granted they weren't the best survivors, but I was proud of myself anyway because I haven't played Nurse in ages.

  • Survivor: Self-Care, Borrowed, Adrenaline and any other perk depending on my mood. Dead Hard, Balanced Landing, Deliverance, Iron Will...all depends on what I feel like.

Killer: BBQ, Devour Hope, Enduring & another perk depending on my mood. I use this build on a few killers.

  • I use SC because it's what helps me have fun when I play survivor. I don't care if people consider it to be a perk bad players use. I use what I have fun with.
I don't like getting injured and stressing out over if someone else will heal me or not, or if I'll find a medkit, or if the killer will find me and down me fast. I just heal myself and move on without having worry.

Wont happen. Not with this kinda game

Why not? There are so many different kinds of Funko pops for so many games, TV shows, movies, etc. Hell, they even have a Tony the Tiger, a CEREAL BOX CHARACTER as a Funko pop.
It's completely realistic for Dead by Daylight to have pops of their own, and a lot of people would buy them.

How do you counter spirits fury, enduring, or brutal strength? You don’t. It’s a perk that’s a weak substitute for voice comms. You may think it’s strong, but you’ll barely see any change in opposition. It’s only benefit that you’ll be effected by will still just be easier chase jukes... and that’s ok. After all a perk is supposed to give you a solid benefit.

Couldn't have said it better myself.
Even still, not many people will run Alert. There are simply better perks to take.

  • This is a tough question because I like playing both survivor and most of the killers.
I'd have to say either Red Paint Brush or a syringe.

And it had a X on October first.
    But we didn't get anything.

People put X's on calendars for each day that passes.
They posted the video on October 1st. That's why there's an X there.

  • Maybe it was a connection problem? Maybe the time is longer for people who kobe?! I don't know.
What I do know is either way that was total BS and she should have gone down.

This happened to me a few times (PS4 here) when I closed the game when I was in the bloodweb or when I turned off the console without closing the game first.

Interesting. I'm on PC and I'm not totally sure why this happened...my PC didn't crash or anything mid-game, I just quit as normal. This has never happened before so I'm not sure if this has always been a bug or if this is a bug that came with the new chapter.

  • She also needs to have an ability exclusive to her that makes it so when the killer looks at her, the killer instantly stands still and is essentially stunned because they're too busy looking at Meg's arse. I stand by Meg buffs!

  • Playing as:
    1) Wraith (I love the Wraith so much, my steam url is literally bingbongmom)
    2) Billy (Satisfying chainsaws)
    3) Pig (Not sure why, I just like Pig)
    4) Hag (I love mindgaming survivors with her traps)
    5) Freddy (Paint Brush + M&A on Lerys or The Game, just do it)
    6) Huntress (She's alright, I mainly like her for crossmapping)
    7) Nurse (I consider myself a mediocre Nurse and I used to main her but she is somewhat boring and makes me sweaty. I don't like to be sweaty)
    8) Michael (I always do poorly with him for some reason/hard for me to 4k with him, I can 4k way easier with Wraith)
    9) Trapper (I can never get anyone in my traps unless I'm on Haddonfield)
    10) Doctor (Feels too easy)
    11) Leatherface (Boring)
    12) Clown (I hate clown the most, feels too easy)

    Playing against:
    1) Michael (TOMBSTONE ME DADDY)
    2) Billy (Intense games against good Hillbillys are always fun)
    3) Wraith (I just love Wraith)
    4) Nurse (God nurses are scary but I enjoy mindgaming a Nurse)
    5) Trapper (Bloody Coils/Iridescent Stones are obnoxious, but I like having to watch my step everywhere)
    6) Hag (I dislike Hags that camp as a playstyle, but going against a good Hag that can mindgame is so fun)
    7) Pig (A lot of Pigs tunnel which is obnoxious and ruins the game for me, but when you go against a memer who crouches and snorts at you the entire game it's hysterical)
    8) Freddy (A lot of Freddies are really bad, and it makes the game boring and easy. Freddies that can actually keep pressure are fun to go against, however.)
    9) Huntress (Hitboxes. That is all.)
    10) Doctor (Most survivors hate going against the Doctor because you think you lost him but then you scream two seconds later and the chase is on again. It's possible to lose a Doctor if they're really bad but barely ever do mediocre/good doctors actually lose you. I find the screaming mechanic obnoxious but tolerable to play against.)
    11) Leatherface (I have only seen a handful of Leatherfaces that were good. Most Tum Tum mains are bad or they just camp you as a playstyle. He is incredibly boring to play and boring to play against.)
    12) Clown (I hate playing as him and against him. He is stupidly easy. I despise his character design. He feels made to BM, he laughs at you when you get downed, etc. I. Hate. Clown.)

  • Give Feng less ugly hairs...her only good hairstyles are the expensive pigtails.

  • I just want a cute stealthy black outfit for Feng. All of her current clothes are really bright...but I can't say I wouldn't mind a bright pink bunny Feng...

The animation looks really stupid and unnatural now. That's my big issue with it to be honest lol.

It isn't unnatural. The only reason why we think in this way is because we get used to the old animation speed.

Flashlight saves are too easy for what they do tbh. It is still easy to save people with flashlights but a little bit harder.

Eh...like @JammyJewels said, all animations that are Sonic fast look kind of stupid, to me anyway. I know I'm just being nitpicky here, but it would be nice if the animation just looked more...normal. I'll just have to get used to it.

  • The animation looks really stupid and unnatural now. That's my big issue with it to be honest lol.

  • I always play Wraith and Freddy for easy bully-fests. It makes me want to drown myself in my own tears. The survivors win, is that what you mean?

  • I agree, I'm not here to see grandma tids.

  • He needs a BUFF! Remove his pants and every time a killer hooks a pantsless/shirtless David, all survivors immediately escape and get 69 million bloodpoints and the killer's game uninstalls.

    • Survivors that will blame the team instead of themselves for losing.
    • Survivors that run No Mither. It isn't fun at all. If you're going to do a genrush build, use SC and Resilience and 99 yourself instead of running No Mither with Leader and Bond.
    • Survivors who throw down fifteen pallets in a single chase without even looking to see if the killer is in hit/stun range or not. I'm not saying "loop the killer for every single pallet!" but at the very least don't screw your entire team by using every pallet on the map in one chase.
    • Survivors that act like OchiDO.
    • And lastly, every other kind of person people have already mentioned.
    1. Feng Min will always have a place in my heart. She was the first character I got Prestiged and my first main.
    2. Claudette.
    3. Meg.
    4. Laurie.
    5. This is really tough, but I'm really liking Kate. Her bouncy hair is so cute to me and she's also thicc af
  • I love stealth, but there are various killer perks that directly counter stealth playstyles. And the existence of Freddy and Doctor completely remove stealth. It's not really worth playing completely immersed.

  • I hate Leatherfaces. I can probably name just a couple of good encounters with them.
Every single time I go against a Leatherface, they hardcamp, insidious camp, tunnel, BM, and/or whine at the endgame chat. I despise playing AS him, and I despise playing AGAINST him.
Doctors for me are a more entertaining and enjoyable experience. I hate Leatherfaces with a burning passion.

  • She would more likely be a survivor. As a survivor, her perks would be:

LOOK AT ME!: You like to leave yourself exposed. Once per trial, strip down and give the killer a lapdance for 40/50/60s. The Killer can't move or do anything during this time.

ANYTHING FOR MONEY: You LOVE getting that sweet, sweet cash. When you get penetrated by the hook for the third time and you die, gain 69 million extra bloodpoints for the good show.
"I think I've been left a little stretched out after that one."

EXPOSED: Take off your clothing for the rest of the trial. All other male survivors receive a 69% speed boost in everything, however, you get the Exposed status effect for the rest of the trial as well.

But if she were a killer:
    POWER: WHIP
You turned into a dominatrix. Whip Survivors while chasing them to make them move 5% slower. The more you whip them, the more status effects you give them (Mangled, Hemorrhage). These effects all stack and stay on the survivor permanently until they find aloe vera. Aloe can be found in some lockers. When the survivor gets the aloe, they have to rub it on their whip marks for ten seconds, then all status effects go away. The more you whip, the worse the status effects get.

HEX: GONORRHEA After hitting a survivor, they gain the Gonorrhea status effect until the Hex totem is cleansed. Their action speed is decreased by 69% and they also move 10% slower.

PLAY WITH ME: Press your action key to instantly teleport all survivors into your basement, which is now inescapable and a sex dungeon. Get busy with them for 60s/50s/40s and then leave them with the Traumatized status effect. Their action speed is decreased by 100% and they can now only crouch-walk everywhere for the next minute. This can only be done once.
"She had whips, she had chains and ropes and cuffs...dear God, this is worse than a basement camping cannibal!"

FEEL MY PAIN: Once per trial, turn into a big scary black man. Find a female survivor and after hitting her, you and her teleport in the sex dungeon basement for 60/50/40s. She is left Traumatized and injured for the rest of the trial and you give her 69 million bloodpoints as compensation and for the rest of the trial she is invincible and you cannot kill her and she MUST escape.
"I want you to suffer like I did."

  • You can thank the free to play weekend for them. I've encountered a ton as well.

  • Vigil, Balanced Landing, and Saboteur are some of my favorites.
